Save printer to layout in crystal reports XI R2 and windows vista ,7 , 2008

Hi ,
I have a problem with the crystal report design , I use CRXI R2 SP6 and with windows vista , windows 7 and windows server 2008 .
The problem is that when I built the report and I go to set page from file , in the page setup form I don't have the printer select button and so I can't save the printer in the report.
With SO earlier it's all ok.

Crystal Report XI R2 and Windows Vista

Hi to all,
I'm working on an application written in Visual C++ 6.0 that print reports using the Crystal Report XI R2 SP4 engine.
One of my report contain a dynamic image: is a OLE object dynamically linked inside the report.
My application generate a new image and after that the report is printed.
Everything works well on Windows 2000 and Windows XP but with Windows Vista the image is stored inside the Virtual Store folder under my user profile and the reports seems to be unable to find/load the modified image.
So the report is printed with the image that is present in the standard software installation folder (under c:\Program Files\....)
Anyone have an idea how to solve this problem?

Crystal Reports XI R2 and Window Server 2008 Hyper-V environment

Hello,
Is there any known issue that Crystal Reports XI R2 running on Window Server 2008 Hyper-V enviroment?
I tested on Development Server which is Window Server 2008 and it is working fine but when tested with another servers which are in Hyper-V enviroment and ASP.NET program keep crushing.
I got the below error on my event log:
Faulting application w3wp.exe, version 7.0.6002.18005, time stamp 0x49e023cf, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp 0x00000000, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x03976ce8, process id 0x%9, application start time 0x%10.

Hi Yin,
Hyper-V I assume is the Hyper threading Intel and others enabled correct? Should not make a difference other than performance. You are still using 1 CPU so the cycles are being split between multiple programs. Not really an advantage.
Try using ProcessMonitor and search on access denied to see what is having the problem.
Other issue is CR XI R2 is not supported on windows 2008, or at least you should be running Service Pack 6 to at least get Windows 7 and Vista support, which is about the same as Windows 2008.
Go to our download page and install SP 4 full build and then SP 6. ( assuming you don't have any SP's installed ) or look in the download area and download all of the patches from SP 4 as well as the distribution files for how ever you are deploying your application.

Printing PO's using Crystal Report

Hi,
I am printing Purchase order using crystal reports. And when I print single PO, it is printing perfectly and I am printing one PO per page in pre printed stationery. But when I Print Multiple PO's i.e., mass printing, the first record gets printed correctly but when the printer scrolls to second page, the header section jumps one line above and when it scrolls to third page, it jumps two lines above and so on. And I am using continous stationery in dot matrix printer. How to print multiple PO's with Correct page header alignment. (Also I found the same problem when I print A/R Invoice).

Dot matrix printer has the inherated weakness for linefeed control.
You have to change the page setting quite a few times before it can be fit.
If possible, laser printer will be much better. What you see is what you get.

Printing font Barcode3of9 from Crystal Reports XI

I have an issue with printing font Barcode3of9 from Crystal Reports XI utilizing Manhattan Associates Performance Management (PM) UI application.
The font is applied to a field that is converted from a number to a text using the CStr formula in Crystal Reports XI in order to display the value as a barcode.
The barcode on the report is converted successfully in the PM UI 100% of the time. However the business tries to print the report using the print or the export the report functions and the barcode is not converted 100% of the time into a barcode only the value of the field displays.
The font is installed on the server that the business accesses and I have installed the font on the web server for our testing environment, but it still does not aide with fixing the issue.
Does anybody have any experience with this issue?

Jesus, I can understand this is a shrinking planet, Global community, and all that happy horse pucky. Typos or small grammar errors are no big deal, I make them all the time. But when I have to spend more time interpretting the question than figuring out the answer, it drives me crazy.

Crystal Reports XI R2 Appcrash in Vista but OK in XP

I have a Windows Form VB.NET application using Crystal XI R2 to produce reports. The application works flawlessly on other machines in Windows XP, but as soon as I try to load a report in Vista the program exits with the following message -

This happens (only in Vista) whether the report is sent direct to the printer or to the Crystal Report Viewer and occurs at the crReport.Load (direct print) or New CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument (viewer) statements.
Despite having Try/Catch blocks and exception handling in place I get no other error messages apart from the above.
I have downloaded and installed all of the CR XI R2 service packs up to SP4 on the development machine.
I have rebuilt with CrystalReports11_5_NET_2005.msm dated 10/04/2008, re-installed but still doesn't fix problem.
I don't think it is a database issue because rest of program loads and displays data (from SQL Server) fine.

The app loads fine in Vista and the database is accessible. When a report is sent to the viewer I get the error message immediately after executing

The report viewer screen is visible in the background but no report is visible u2013 just the APPCRASH message.

All the CrystalDecisions and BusinessObjects files are in c:\Program Files\Business Objects\Common\3.5\managed\ and are version 11.5.8.1237 except for CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.dll which is in folder c:\Program Files\Business Objects\Common\3.5\managed\dotnet2 -Version 11.5.9708.1237).

APPCRASH - "Crystal Reports has stopped working"- windows message

I had installed Crystal reports 2008 using valid license keycode on Windows Server 2008 machine ( crystal software not registered it in Sap portal for additional support) This was used for crystal reports development in .Net for few days, After 1 month or little more , the crystal reports stopped working and when launched from Start -> Programs -> Crystal Reports 2008 displayed a windows error message " Crystal Reports has stopped working ".
Following is the details about Problem from windows message

Now, looking up the DLL,(x2rpclB5.dll) it appears to be a Xerox printer driver(?). You mention that this started to happen recently, so the question would be; was a Xerox printer driver installed? Also, see if either uninstalling the printer driver or installing any available updates fomr Xerox will resolve the issue.

Here seems to be that a plugin is not loaded : com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.infostore.internal.InfoObjects||Assertion failed: Java plugin for CommonConnection is not loaded.
could this affect the performance of Crystal Reports for Enterprise and how could I fix this ?

Thanks for your response. Please note, however, the transaction RAD1 does not exist. Let me provide more details about the current settings of the InfoObject.
The Characteristic is 'Item' (0CS_ITEM) and upon going to RSA1 > Modeling > InfoObjects > Item (0CS_ITEM) > Right Click > Display > Business Explorer (tab) > Text Type is set to 'Long Text' and BEx description is set to 'Long description' already.
When I run/execute the query with this Item characteristic, the results in BEx Analyzer is showing appropriate long text, however, Crystal Report for Enterprise shows short text only

Crystal Report (9.0 - RDC] on Vista

I think i have not expressed myself appropriatly
(the last thread).
I have problems when i use Crystal Reports 2008,
CrystalDecisions.Shared.ConnectionInfo and CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer on Vista .
But i haven't problem when i use Crystal Report (9.0 - RDC) on Vista.
(Interop.CRAXDDRT / Crystal Reports 9 ActiveX Designer Design and Runtime Library).
¿?It's supported¿?(vista)
What kind of problems can I find, if i use Crystal Reports(9.0-RDC) on Vista?
(now i haven´t)

Sorry, but I think I'm still not expressing appropriately. Let me try once again.
OK, I know that CR2008 does not support RDC. Actually we are planning to migrate to CR2008 using the new NET libraries.
However, we have tested CR9.0(RDC) in Vista and we find that it works OK so far. My question is: is CR9.0 (RDC) "officially" working in Vista? Shall we find any compatibility problem for some Vista installation?
What I would like to know is whether our current software, that still uses CR9.0(RDC), shall work fine on any Vista platform or not.

Crystal Report Server Backup and Recovery problem

I have a problem on the backup Crystal Report Server
My Environment:
- Windows Server 2003
- Crystal Report Server XI R2
- MySQL Database for Central Management Server System Tables(Default setting in the Crystal Report Server installation)
- Tomcat (Default seting in the Crystal Report Server installation)
I stop the Central Management Server before backup.
I run the following command to backup Central Management Server System Table:
mysqldump --user=root --password=pass1234 boe115 > C:\CMSBackup.sql
It is ok to generate CMSBackup.sql file.
After backup, I re-install the Crystal Report Server and run the following command to restore Central Management Server System Table:
mysqldump --user=root --password=pass1234 boe115 < C"\CMSBackup.sql
After finish the restore process, I cannot found my setting on the Central Management Server System.
Any backup step i missed ?

I am hoping someone can provide me with a clear answer for this.
Lets assume..
1. We are running crystal reports server 2011 and BW 7
2. We want to publish a report in the BI Launch pad so users can view it
3. Can we create a crystal report in the report designer with the data source as BW 7 then upload it to the reports server and have it run on-demand and Run over night?
Can anyone shed some light in this area?

Crystal Reports Server is not supporting the SAP Integration Kit. You will need BusinessObjects Edge or BusinessObjects Enterprise

However, there are chances that dll may conflict and few issues may occur.
