Save project taking almost 5 mins

what can i try to speed the auto save project function? im on premiere 6.0 mac os 10.8.3 32 gb ram 1600 mhz DDR3 - project file is 32mb

not exactly sure what u mean by disk config...
no warp
running 6.0, not latest
when i upgraded to latest, premiere would not launch - so i did uninstall and re installed 6.0 and it worked better...not sure if i should go back to 6.02

CS6 Freezing on Save Project

When I try to save a project in CS6, Premiere displays the Save Project dialogue and freezes completely. The progress bar does not begin to move. If I click cancel, I get the beach ball. The only way to get out is to Force Quit. Also, if I let that it remain in the frozen state for more than a few minutes, it grinds my entire system to a halt with hard drive read/writes and eventually system memory errors (which I've never seen before). I have 8 gigs of RAM and few things running. It also bizarrely knocked out my system sound, which has not returned after a restart. The volume speaker icon is now grayed out (different from muted) with no fix that I can find. The sound thing could be a coincidence, but that seems unlikely.
The project I've been playing with was started in CS5.5. It's a simple project, just a demo reel that I figured would be a good thing to use to test out CS6. It has one AE comp, but nothing crazy. So I opened it in CS6. It converted, and I saved it to a new location. I made a few adjustments and saved it again without a problem. The auto save was also working.
I opened another project from 5.5, also no problems, although I didn't really make any changes.
When I opened the first project again, everything seemed fine until an auto save which froze as described.
I Forced Quit and reopened the project. As soon as I hit save I got the same freeze. I figured some kind of corruption had set into that project file. So I started over with the original CS5.5 project file again. I was able to save it, this time with incremental file names, and make the same changes.
After a quit and relaunch, I opened the project and again couldn't save. That was the case for every one of my incremental saves. I've now gone through this cycle a lot trying to figure it out. The only project I can open and save is the original CS5.5 project file, but if I make any changes and then close the project and come back to it, the freeze on save happens every time.
I'm not particularly concerned about the reel project, but the other project I'm working on is a client piece that I started in 5.5. I'm pretty terrified this will happen to that project as well. I'll soon find out as I need to move forward with it.
I'm psyched about CS6. I like what I've seen briefly, but this is obviously disastrous.

Anyone else experiencing this? I'm running Mac OS 10.7.4.

I tried everything to fix the muted audio. This is what worked, You have to run the script every time you restart your computer. Save it to your dock for easy access.
1. Open Utility.
2. Open Applescript Editor.
3. Copy the following and paste it at the top half of the editor (copy everything below with the quotes in place):
do shell script "launchctl stop com.apple.audio.coreaudiod" password "your_password" with administrator privileges
4. Replace "your_password" with your login password. For example if your login password is ILOVEMYSON2011 then it should look like this...
do shell script "launchctl stop com.apple.audio.coreaudiod" password "ILOVEMYSON2011" with administrator privileges
5. Now go to File ---> Save As (in the Applescript Editor on the Menu Bar)
After "Save As" choose a name for the file. I called mine "AudioFix"
Under "File Format" choose "Application."
Save it to your Applications (or wherever you like) and drag it to your dock.
Run it whenever you restart your computer. If your problem is the same as mine, the volume indicator will pop on within a few seconds or up to a half a minute after you run the script.

BUG in PE 13- cannot open and save projects from PE11!!!!!!!

For 1 month I'm requesting a TECH Support to resolve a BUG in Adobe Premiere Elements 13 that cannot load and save projects from PE11. I already provided all details several times (about my PC system & exact steps to reproduce a problem, etc) & posted in this PE forum as well.
Adobe is the WORST company I have ever came across that shows NO SUPPORT for its clients. Not only they don't have a phone line, but lacking in providing its clients with other channels to contact Tech Support (if such exists??) via emails or a chat. It is unheard of that a company would SELL its products, collected money & then had NO responsibility to correct problems they introduced. SHAME on you! I will post this opinion in Facebook and everywhere. I will warn people they should beware on spending money on Adobe horrible products where a company refuses even support these products and where a company only relies on common users who also already spent money and now experiencing all sort of problems. Unbelievable!
Adobe team, if you are not helping with resolving your last bugs, you should at least send me a link for the old PE11 that I could finish my projects. I hope that someone will finally contact me

How do I save project in IMovie 3.0.3

I am tearing my hair out. I can't load footage into the Mac with IMovie 4.0.1, and I can't save project in the Mac with IMovie 3.0.3. I work for an hour (or now for a minute) and CAN'T save the project. What am I doing wrong??? Thanks. I can save project with 4.0.1, but I can't load footage into it, and it isn't as easy as you would think to schlep the hard drive around. Marcia

What's the error message?
You must save to a Mac-formatted drive, not a PC-formatted drive.

HT5654 What is the "other" section in my cellular usage and how do I get rid of it? It is taking almost 75% of my usage space.

"Other" is typically less than a GB.
More generally indicates a corrupt file(s).
A restore should resolve.

My BEX work book is taking long time to display the data. It is taking 75 mins to display the data.
The query is built on multi provider and multi provider is built on virtual info provider and virtual provider is buitl on transactional info cube.
Data in tranasactional info cube is 11 million records (200 to 250 requests)
Data is not compressed in this cube.
No aggregated defined on this cube.
Can I created aggregates on transactionl info cube (Real time data info cube).If we create aggreagates do the query hits the aggregates in my case.
Please help in this issue.

Hi
You can check several things for improving the workbook refresh time :-
1.Create aggregates
2.Check the characteristics which are not required to be in free char.
3. Check the Drill down Char whether text is really required for displaying then only display else just use key in drilldown.
4. you can also compress the data in the cube to improve the performance but this can only be done if you don't require to delete the requests in the cube .
5. Check the Hierarchy which are in drill down . try to reduce the drill down level of hierarchy.

Photoshop touch unable to save projects or create foldersI

i am unable to save projects or create folders in Photoshop Touch on my iPad Air 2. I have lots of space available and have closed all other apps. The PS Touch app is updated to most recent release.
After working on a file and then selecting the back arrow at the top left to take me out of the project, it prompts me to save the project. When I select "save" it appears to save the project. Then it goes out to the main screen where no projects exist so basically I keep losing any project I work on.
On the main screen, I'm also unable to create any folders. It seems that I'm creating a folder but then when I return to the main screen, nothing is there. I have tried to search the iPad storage to see if anything is being saved by PS Touch, but I see nothing.
I have tried restarting everything as well as re-installing the app, but still I get nothing.
Obviously this app is useless to me without being able to save anything so I realize I may have wasted my money. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks for the suggestion, however, i have tried it before (and tried again after your suggestion just in case) and still no luck.
It always appears to be saving the file and then when i get to the home screen (where i should see all the folders and projects) i see nothing still.

"save project as" problem

I'm having this problem on both my mac book pro using FCE 3.5 upgrade as well as on my imac where I just use FCE. I will go to "save project as" and save as Tape 2 for example. I make changes and then I go to "save" but it is grayed out and I only have access to the "save project as" So then I have to save Tape 2 as a copy and end up with numerous copies because that's the only way I can save changes. Is there a setting that I have overlooked, has any one had this issue.

Hi there, i'm new here my name is Giovanni and im from Italy. Anyway, ive got a serious problem with adobe premiere cs5:
Ive made a project music video like 4:00min long, i saved the project checking the size file that is like 15.000kb, than i dont know why the project is gone be crazy, ive saved the project again "the same project, at the same time with the same files" and the save size became 77.000kb, and when i try to open the project it will crash when about 70 on 80 files are loaded. I took an auto-save project that was still 15.000kb but when i save the project again the file became again 77.000kb and it will crash again if i re-open it. Someone knows what it depends on?
My sys specs:
i7 860 @4.0ghz
8 Gb XMS3 DDR3
2x GTX570SLI
1 HDD Sata3 1TB and 4 HDD's Sata3 500gb RAID-0
TX850 Corsair Power
Note: I can still open an auto-save file, but when i try to save the project is the same problem...

Solved the problem after 2 hours thinking and tryng more ways...
Problem without fix:
1. Ive made a project of 4 minutes, and after 2 days, ive saved the project.
2. The saved project was 15mb, and than became 77mb strangely.
3. Ive tryed to open an auto-save project of the same, but ever when i try to save the project became 77mb.
4. So opening the 77mb project will crash before that every file is loaded in the project.
If you get this problem what you have to do:
1. You have to find a recent auto-save that isnt obsolete [ 77mb for 80clips per 40gb is obsolete, instead 15mb for 80clips per 40gb isnt obsolete ]
2. You have to create a new project with same settings, and than you have to load the "auto-save" project importing in this project the main "Sequence".
3. Than you have to make a rendering of the project, and than save the file making a backup of it.
Now the project is 7mb Size with 80clips per 40gb.
Is fast to open and to render, better than before.

"Save Project as" -- Beach Ball spinning for a long time????

Hi,
I wanted to make some changes to an Encore project I am working on.
I opened up the Original Project, Deleted the timeline and then replaced it with another encoded timeline.
I then re-linked my chapters and presed File ---- Save Project As ---- renamed it and pressed OK.
I still wanted to keep the original just in case I needed it again.
As soon as I pressed save (for the Save project as), the dialog box came up and on the top of that it says "Save Project as" , but it has been five minutes since I did the "Save as" and I got the Colored Beach Ball spinning in Encore.
Is this supposed to happen. Is it trying to save it? Or did Encore Freeze? How long do I wait until I Force quit?

For Save As, Encore copies everything in its folder structure, which includes transcodes of assets while in Encore (using AME or encore). It usually shows its progress, however.
I prefer to "save as" before I start making changes. Encore is just too likely to get confused.
But the way you are doing it, inside Encore is the right way, and it should work.
If you see disk activity, I'd keep waiting.
Force quit can result in problems and you don't have a save as backup yet.

My_Form is taking 3 min. for rendering on browser!!

Previously our users has IE10, then 4 pages my_form used to take just 10 seconds for rendering.
2 days ago they got installed IE10 in their machines, now the same form is taking 3 min.!!!

Actually, we have another Z WDA, wherein we hv just one view w/ just couple of dorp downs, inoput fields, thats all, seems, its also taking too much time, hence I am guessing its not related to adobe, the webdynpro itself taking too much time!!
In DEV, QA as developers we are accessing / testing the WDA from SE80, its fine here, but in PRD users are running the WDA from Portal, here in PRD its damm slow
So, do you see any link between IE10, WDA, Portal?
I mean, looks adobe is ok

Please check the disk to ensure there is enough free space and you have permission to write projects. iMovie will try to save periodically, but your changes will be lost if you quit iMovie before the problem is resolved. I have 462 GB disc space available. I don't know about "permission to write projects".

OK - bad luck about that. I hope you weren't too far advanced into your project. Sorry to hear that repairing permissions didn't help.
When working on a long project, it's advisable to duplicate the project from time to time. In Project Library view click on your project then select File>Duplicate Project from iMovie's menu. A number will be appended to the name of the duplicate, otherwise you can rename it. A short-cut is to control-click (or right-click) on the project name, then select Duplicate Project from the pop-up menu. Duplicating doesn't take up much extra space, as the project points to the clips in the Event (or Events) and doesn't contain actual video as such (it's basically a text file which also holds information about your edits, added photos, music, titles and so forth).
Also, it's best to have a backup, such as Time Machine. It gives you peace of mind when things go wrong!

I need to create an instance of my RoboHelp project. Is there any feature like Save As or Save Project As.

Copy the Windows directory, open in RoboHelp and rename the project from the File menu.
