Save SMS number to contact list

When receiving an SMS I would like to save the number into the contact list. This is for a Nokia N70. I can not seem to do this!

Don't you get the option to 'save to contact' when you open the message and select 'options'?

I have my new iphone 4, before activating how do i transfer and save details e.g contacts list, from old sim to new mini sim?

Iphone does not save anything to SIM.
Your contacts and calendars should be on your computer (Outlook, Address Book, etc).

  • How do I save a number to contacts that was messaged to me?

I had one of my friends message me a number. When I clicked on the number it sent me to the call screen with the only option to call the number. I just want to save the number to my contacts.

Should be able to tap the number and a menu will pop up to allow you to Call, Send Message, Add Contact or Add to Existing Contact..

  • Contact added on SMS not in contacts list

A contact I saved from an SMS (that I sent) is not appearing in my iPhone 3G contacts list nor on MobileMe. The contact is editable from the sms messages list and recent phone calls list and has a photo and two phone numbers in it. Can anyone advise how to include it in contacts as normal?

This was resolved by rebooting my iPhone and then stopping & restarting contact synchronisation with MobileMe.

  • UNBlocked number in contact list

I have complete blocking so that my number dosen't show on the caller id of the people i'm calling.
For certain contacts, I have a *82 prefix so that My number will be unblocked for that contact.
My Problem is that when I send a text, i have to remove the *82 for it to work.
Is there a way i can have my phone call *82-123-456-7890 and text  1-123-456-7890?

Unfortunately, the answer is no. If we were to add Caller ID Block to your account, your number would in fact be blocked permanently, but for ALL your contacts.
To deactivate permanent Caller ID blocking on a per call basis:
Dial *82 and then the number
    Press SEND
Note: This action only unblocks Caller ID blocking to that number for that one call. Note: This feature cannot be added online via "My Verizon."
    Thanks,

  • Changing a number in contact list.

I cant get rid of my sisters old telephone number. I keeps popping up in the contact information, even though I have changed it to her new number several times. How do i get rid of it? I have a 4s with 6.1.3

I assume you are using iCloud.
This sounds like a broken sync.
Change it from iCloud.com on your computer.
Then on your phone: Settings > iCloud > turn off contacts, delete from phone then turn contacts back on. This will re-establish the connection and resync

  • 6120 sms Message no contacts listed

I have PC Suite 6.83 loaded and have a 6120. I try to send an SMS from PC Suite. I  type in the start of a name I know is in my Contacts then click the TO button andnd the application fails with
"Text Message Editor has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Got this from someone quite helpful on another forum and it helped me.  Hopefully it will help anyone else out there as well.
If you've updated your Pro with the OTA update that came out a couple of weeks ago that should have also included an update/improvements to the Voice Commands app. If you haven't already done so, on the main menu of your phone go to Settings>About Phone>System Updates and allow the OS update...
First thing I noticed was that the Voice Commands app icon changed after installing the Pro OS update....since the update I have not had any problems with the VC app...prior to that the app would work fine for a while then it said it could not recognize any of the commands I was saying...
Hopefully the update will solve the "valid contacts" issue that you and others have experienced...

  • How can I change phone number in Contact List in IOS 7?

After upgrading to IOS 7, I cannot change the front IDD number.
Whenever I tried to ''backspace"/"X" the number, it duplicates and keep on duplicate the new number I typed.
For Example hte original number is: 1666-0044-123456
and I want to change to 0060-0044-123456
then I 'blackspace" numbers before "1666", and type "0060'", then it duplicates to " 00600060"
everytime it duplicates numbers i typed.
When I tried to delete the whole number, the phone stopped working.
    How can I do?

The iPad uses the user's email address, not a phone number, for iMessage. Go here on the iPad:
    Settings -> Messages
and change the Send and Receive setting to her email address rather than yours.
    Regards.

  • How to send a number by SMS from contact list on 2...

Guys, I cracked my brains to solve how to send a number from contact list by SMS in 2630.
Maybe there's no such option at all?
    Please help!!!
Message Edited by berzerk on 16-Dec-2008 09:24 PM

I don't think there is such an option on a limited phone like the 2630.
On phones running S60 such as the Nseries and Eseries devices (and a few others) there is an option to copy a number from the contacts into the clipboard and you can subsequently paste it into a new message. Older S40 phones like the 2630 don't have a clipboard facility to do copy/paste actions.

  • Speed of Searching lots of contact lists

I would like to buy a Nokia phone 6110 N in Taiwan. However, some reasons make me hesitated.
One is the compatibility of Nokia with my MS Outlook. I depend the Outlook software deeply when arranging my Calendar and handling my thousands contact lists. I am worried the compatibility of Nokia and MS Outlook on those functions.
The second is the searching speed of contact lists in Nokia phone, specially with thousands items. Because I heard if the number of contact lists was more than one thousand, its speed would be very slow. Was it right?
Can someone kindly give me an answer?

    Hello,
For your first problem, you should always check out the phone's features before purchasing. Make sure MS Outlook is compatible.
For you second problem, the more contacts you have the slower it will become when going through the contact list. This has always been an issue.

  • When I receive a phone call from a new number, how do I save that number to my contacts?

When I receieve a phone call from a new number, is it possible to save that number from the incoming calls screen? Can I create a contact from the number itself without having to go to the contact list and write the number in manually?

Thank you so much. I feel like an idiot for not figuring that out on my own, it is so simple.  But I really, really appreciate this. Thank you!!!

  • Contact list is not appearing in SMS screen

Dear All, i am facing two issues : 1) from the contact list, if i select any contact then i can either Call him, Email to him or write on his/ her facebook wall. why SMS option is not avaliable here. 2)from the SMS scree, i am not getting whole list of contacts here. what i am doing right now, i am writing down the contact number from the call list and then manully putting the number in SMS screen

Check that in contacts the numbers are listed as "mobile". If they are called anything else such as " work" "home" or "home 2", they will not appear in the SMS list nor be available in contacts to send an SMS even if the numbers are mobile numbers. If you have allocated any description other than"mobile" you will have to edit them.
The system won't allow a contact to have 2 "mobile" numbers even if in reality the contact does have 2.

  • Composing SMS from Contact List

I have a Blackberry Pearl 8100 and when I go into my contact list and select a name to SMS and then add another recepient to send the same message to it comes up with first person I selected to SMS again i.e. I picked Wendy first and added Brian to send the same message to, yet it shows Wendy's name twice. Yet, when I go to check the two mobile ph#'s that I'm sendin the SMS to, they are different as I expect. Also, if I save the SMS as a draft, and I open it up again in my email inbox it displays Wendy & Brian's name correctly. Furthermore, if I compose a SMS from my email inbox I don't get the problem I've mentioned above. Is there a way to solve this?

I have a windows pc friend with the same problem

    Hi al,
I just got my first bberry and I'm trying to figure out how to display "name" and "phone number" on the contact list. So far, I can only get "name" and "company". Is it possible to change?
    Thanks,
    D.
Greetings, and welcome to the BlackBerry.com Support Forums.
Well... you can't get the phone number to display in the contacts. You pull up a contact by name or company name, not the number.
So, when you pull John Doe, just click on that name, and your menu screen will give you the option to call or email or SMS that individual.
And the neat thing is, if the phone number is highlighted in the menu, then the Call John Doe option is defaulted.
