Save the contact book

Elements 9 , I can not save the contact book. I have tried entering info. in the shared photos e-mail and in the edit contact book , nothing saves for the next time you use the program. Anybody have a solution??

Make sure you are not using any special character while making the entry (such as $%^#* etc.)
Also, if you have photoshop.com account, sign in there and go to the address book and check is there any contact present there which has any special character.. If so please remove it.
Try to keep all the characters in lower case.
You can also, navigate to following location:
Win7:
c:/Programdata/Adobe/Elements Organizer/Organizer/Settings.
and check is the file 'contact.xml' present there or not.

By chance, I too have the readability bookmarklet installed (but I don't use it that much, to be honest), and it works ok for me. It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

How do you select multiple emails from the contacts book.

Using 10.8.4. I would like to use mail and select multiple email address' from the contacts book to send the same message to multiple persons. I thought I used to be able to select more than one at a time from my contacts book. Am I crazy or did they change the way it works from the previous version of software.
Or, could you go to the contacts book and email from there. Either way it seems like it was easy to do and now I have to select one at a time and keep going back to the contacts/address book for another name.

Once you open a new message, you should be able to just start typing the first letters of the contact's name, and Mail should give you a dropdown to select from:
So, you should not have to go back and forth between your contacts and mail....anyone in your address book should show up on the dropdown as well as anyone you have received emails from or sent emails to even if they are not in your contacts....
Is that not what is happening for you? Are you using the Mail app on the Mac?

Why won't Photoshop Elements 9 save my contact book?

In PS Elements 9, I have imported and manually entered email addresses into the contact book, but when I return to use them they are gone. AM I doing anything wrong or is there a fix for this?

I too have the same problem. It has been that way since
my first elements version 5.
MS outlook is selecteted in preferences and still when I inport MS outlook contacts and work through the phoney missing 1st mname and finally get 475 contacts entered, that import lasts oly as long as Orgainzer is in the share mode. The contacts are not being saved.
I cannot beleive that ADOBE has not fixed this problem. I an runnig Vista home premium on a dell studio with a lot of ram and much processor speed..

I have discovered that the movie I was TRYING to save was in fact actually saved into my documents. When I started the action to save the movie, I saw that it would take 3 hours. So I left my MBP to allow the saving action to be performed. When I came back to my MBP 4 hours later, there was an error mesage. Unfortunately out of frustration, I did not note the message. I do know however that I was having "freezing" issue during my editing of the movie. Two days ago, I was actually in an Apple Store with a "trainer" using imovie and it froze up while with the trainer...the trainer referred to an Apple Store "genius" technician onsite. The genius suggested testing the ram on the system to insure it was functioning properly...I will have this done soon.
So I just assumed the error message was someting related to a ram issue and therefore prohibited the ability to save the movie...
Anyway...it appears my issue with saving the movie is resolved.

You can open the Phone app then tap Recents then the blue 'i" in a blue circle at the right of the number then "Create New Contact" then tap a field such as "First" name and the keyboard should appear.

Best Practice to save the contacts in the Database

Hi everybody,
I´m looking for some tips about the data in the Database. I would like to know what are the best practices saving a record. For example, I want to save the First Name, Second Name and the Last Name in the DB, How can I save them, I mean, the first letter in Uppercase, or all the record in lowercase.

Not quite sure what you're after here. Generally, store the data in the way it's going to be presented - sentence case in the examples you've given.
If you're thinking along the lines of case sensitivity in querying within Siebel, then take a look at the Case Insensitivity Wizard in Siebel Bookshelf:

I used to use a a nokia but i bought an iPhone5. How can I save the contacts saved in the sim card to my iPhone?

It's really important since I can't save all my about 300 contacts again.

Several possibilities:
Transfer them from the Nokia SIM to your computer (you can get an adapter that will allow the SIM to be read by your computer). Then import them into a contacts app on your computer, and sync it to your iPhone.
Ask your carrier to transfer them to an flash drive, then import into an app on your computer.
Ask your carrier to copy the Nokia SIM to a nano SIM like the iPhone uses. Temporarily put it in the iPhone, then go to Settings/Import Contacts from SIM.
Carefully cut down the Nokia SIM so it fits the iPhone and use the import function mentioned.

How to select which cloud service to save the contact everytime I am adding a new contact

What I really love about android is that you can choose which account to save contacts every time you are adding a new contact right in the "New Contact" form.
Since I changed my phone from beloved nexus 5 to iPhone 5S (Just kidding) I could not this feature in iPhone contact. It is only possible to choose your default contact service from setting, but what I need is that AS I am adding new contact I get to change the destination for this contact if I want.

You can set up groups for your contacts but you need to log in to www.icloud.com on your computer and do it in settings there. Other than that I am not aware of any way to achieve what you want

Elements Organizer does not save contacts entered in Contact Book

When I try to save contacts in either Elements Organizer 10 or 11 in the Contact Book, it saves nothing. After I click the save button and reopen the contact book, anything I entered is gone.
I've tried entering names as I'm preparing to send e-mail, I've tried doing it through Edit>Contact Book..., and even by adding a New Group to the Contact Book before entering new name, none of which work. Can someone help?

It’s working for me on Windows if I click:
Edit >> Contact Book
Then click the new contact button, enter details and click OK and OK again.

Because: I made a timemachine backup on the snow leopard system and then i've deleated all data from my mac (reason I had too much programs installed and therefore it was very slow). Now I want only my facetime contacts back. Can someone please help?!

How can I save a contact in gmail from my iphone 4s?

I just got the new I-phone 4s, when I pick up a new gmail, I sometimes need to save the email address in my "contacts" directly from my I-phone. I see where to reply and save the email, but I cant seem to put the actual email address in my contacts. How is this done? I'm brand new to smart phones, just got my first one a few days ago.

In the gmail to:/CC: field, touch on the name you want to add.
A new screen shows up, titled ''Recipient'', with the email address shown.
Underneath the email address of your contact you will see 2 choices:
Create new Contact
Add to existing contact
Choose whichever it is by touching, and then you are taken to the contacts book, where your new contact will be part-entered. Add whatever data you want then choose 'Done''

Couldn't Open the Address Book Database - Database is Corrupted

I get this error message anytime I attempt to modify a record in the address book. I also get this error when attempting to create a new group. I've attempted to restore the Address Book from backups via Time Machine as far 6 months ago.
I also did some poking around on the web and found an article advising to delete .plist files associated with the Address Book from my user > Library > Preferences Directory.
I did this but it continues to give this error.
I really need to update the Address Book or even export what I have and start fresh from reimporting my contacts. I don't know how to do this.
Any help is much appreciated.

I followed the advice of Golden Shoes and everything appeared to work. I found out that I had spoken too soon. The next time I opened the Address Book none of the contacts were there. So, I've been doing an import when I need contact information. I import the vcard of all of the contacts I had exported. But, if I click on the File menu to Save them the Save option is greyed out and not available.
I thought that I might need a reinstall and my intention on getting Snow Leopard meant that I would wait until I upgraded to perform that install.
I just upgraded to Snow Leopard and the same problem exists but now it seems to have spread.
Now, if I take the empty address book and add a contact then save the Address Book (The save option is now availalbe). Then close the Address Book, Quite the Address Book and then launch it again, the contact record I added is not there.
Any help that can be provided would be much appreciated. I really want to use the Address Book to manage my contacts.

Syncing of the contacts from the iPhone to the Mac address book is accomplished through iTunes. Once the iPhone is connected, you go to the Info tab in iTunes and select to sync the contacts to the particular application, in your case, Address book. Make sure you have at least one contact in address book you don't have on the iPhone to ensure it gives you the option to merge the two. That is the only way to get the contact onto the computer. Then you can backup the computer.
