Save the password for Mobile Documents Desktop

Hi,
since Upgrade to Mobile Documents Windows 1.24 I have to enter the Password at every Boot. Is it possible to save the Password?
Regards
Andreas Czech

Hi,
The admin can specify whether to allow Desktop Client to "save passwords locally". You should contact your admin, to check if they have not disabled the setting.
If they have allowed you to save the password locally, on start in the login screen, you should see a checkbox "Remember my password" option. This will help you to save the password and you will not be asked to enter a password on each boot.

  • I missed the "save password?" prompt the first time I logged in to a site. How do I get it to ask again, or to save the password for that site now??

    The first time I logged in to a site which has now become a frequently used one, I skipped past the prompt where it asks if you want it to save the password so as not to have to type it in each time. I would like to use that option but don't know how to get it to prompt me again so that I can answer "yes" this time.

    Are you still using the original Firefox 3.6 version (Help > About) ?<br />
    If you do then you should update to the latest Firefox 3.6.17 version via Help > Check for Updates.

  • How do I save the password for a site for which I have chosen the "never remember password for this site" option?

    The first time you enter a password for a site a box pops up under the address bar that has a picture of a key and then the question: "Remember this password?". In the drop box, I chose the option "Never Remember Password for This Site". I can't figure out how to change it so that the password IS remembered.

    It sounds like the printer is still trying to retain the old network information.
    Try a Hard Reset:
    * Unplug printer while unit is turned on
    * Unplug other end of power cord from the direct wall outlet
    * Wait 30 seconds
    * Plug unit back up for power
    Reset Network information to Default:
    * Press the Wrench/Setup menu button in the top right of the touch display of the printer
    * Select the Wireless menu option
    * Scroll down to Restore Network Defaults
    After restoring the defaults, then try running the Wireless Setup Wizard. Let me know if the unit still does not retain the information.

  • How do I turn-off that annoying drop-down box with the gold key that asks me if I want Firefox to save the password?

    You know what drop-down box I'm talking about. When I sign-in to an existing account, that box drops down, covering links I want to click on, asking me AGAIN if I want to save the password for 'this' [whatever site I'm on] site. NO, I DON'T! If I wanted to save the darn password, I would have clicked 'yes' about 1,000 sign-ins ago! Stop already with the asking me.! This 'gold key' feature just doesn't get it. It is a huge nusiance. Why isn't there a box to click that says "DON'T ASK ME AGAIN"?

    Do not use Clear Recent History to clear the "Site Preferences".

  • Save the password but disable the auto fill

    Hi All,
    I have a typical requirement in ff 3.5.15, where i want to save the password for any login. but i do not want to use the auto fill for filling the password automatically.
    In short , i want to use the password save option but disable autofill . Is it posible.
    Thanks in advance

    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Password_only_filled_after_entering_user_name
    Set the pref signon.autofillForms to false on the about:config page.
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/signon.autofillForms
    To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
    If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />

  • I have stored the password for a site I use often, but Firefox does not remember. Have to type in each time.

    User name and password are stored correctly in preferences, but the fields remain blank whenever I try to login to a site I use often. No prompt "Do you want firefox to remember..." Do get a popup "do you want to update password?" but it makes no difference whether I check yes or not.
    No such problem with several other sites whose passwords are stored.

    You must have the "Remember passwords" feature enabled for the browser to remember them. In Firefox 2.0 and above, make sure Tools -> Options -> Security / Passwords -> "Remember passwords for sites" is checked.
    Additionally, you may have once told the browser to never save the passwords for the site. In Firefox 2.0 and above, check the list under Tools -> Options -> Security / Passwords -> Exceptions. Also make sure you are not private browsing while saving password.
    Cheers

  • I can't get my password manager working. It remembers passwords for websites but when I enter in a new password (because this had to be changed) or when I have a new username + PW that I wish to save, the password manager does not appear.

    If you updated your existing account then try logging out of it on the iPhone by tapping on the id in Settings > iTunes & App Stores and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPad.
    If you created a new account then you can log out of the old account and in with the new one as above, but any content that you purchased/downloaded via the old account will remain tied to that old account, and only that old account can re-download its content and download updates to its apps.

    No. It's a safety feature. Select the appropriate response and the next time you visit, you won't be prompted.

    Question...
    I want Firefox to ask me if I want to save this password for login purposes. It did that with the first 3 sites i went to... but now it stopped asking!
    I've gone to several DIFFERENT websites that require a login and in ALL instances since the first 3 it saved... I don't get the popup window asking if I want to save the password.
    How do I get that feature back????
    Thanks...

    Hi seraphim99,
    You will get that [http://dmcritchie.mvps.org/icons/fx4_quittabs.png Quit Firefox message] "Do you want to save your tabs for the next time it starts?" [Save and Quit] [Quit] [Cancel] if you follow what is currently step 31 in the link I had provided [http://dmcritchie.mvps.org/firefox/firefox-problems.htm#tabslost Restoring tabs from a lost session] (#tabslost)
    Which indicates as follows: (boldface is user set)
    * <b>browser.showQuitWarning user set boolean true</b>
    * browser.tabs.warnOnClose default boolean true
    * browser.warnOnQuit default boolean true
    * <b>browser.warnOnRestart user set boolean true</b>
    Links were included there for assistance with '''about:config''' for those that don't know how to change configuration variables, along with additional reference for that and so that other similar questions of making Firefox 4 look/act like Firefox 3.6.17 would also be answered particularly the items in the first 10 steps in the same area. Which was addressed by the following part of my original reply
    You can make Firefox 4.0.1 look like Firefox 3.6.17, see numbered items 1-10 in the following topic ["http://dmcritchie.mvps.org/firefox/firefox-problems.htm#fx4interface Fix Firefox 4.0 toolbar user interface, problems (Make Firefox 4.0 look like 3.6)].
    I don't know if you looked at the web page or not, but I've highlighted some additional words there to try to make the webpage more clear to others in the future.
    Hope that Helps

  • On V4.0, I am unable to get Firefox to save my passwords for critical websites I use frequently. I have followed the recommended procedures to insure that I am asking Firefox to remember passwords.

    I have gone to tools, options, security and have made sure that remember passwords is checked, but I never get the request to save the passwords when accessing websites requiring username and password. I am using Windows 7 Operating System.

    I spent hours trying to remedy this yesterday but eventually discovered that if you click twice (not a double-click) in the slot, Firefox shows your name and password. So many things not functioning and/or unexplained in Firefox 4.

  • Password for a Document folder

    I have not needed a pasword in the past and I remember years ago in was not possible for a P/W for a document folder.
    Has there been any changes that now allow for passwords for a document ?
    If not, any free apps out there for it ?
    thanks,
    Greg

    Yes, you can create an encrypted folder and save files into it. Only someone with the password will be able to open the folder or its contents.

  • My correct password for Mobile Me is rejecting. Can't get my mail.

    A couple days ago when I went to open up my mac email, it kept asking for me to sign in, but then it rejected the password.  The message I got was "The iCloud IMAP server “p07-imap.mail.me.com” rejected the password for user (my user name)". My correct password for Mobile Me is rejecting. How do I correct. Please note - this is on my laptop going through airport. My main desktop computer is receiving mac mail fine, but when I try to open my mac mail through the web, I can't sign on through the web. I get the rejection message.
