Save this vi with labview 8.0 help

Hi all,
There is a tradeoff when asking VBAI to use a custom VI. VBAI only accepts VIs made under LabVIEW 8.0. We have developped a VI under LabVIEW 8.5, and saved it for previous version for LabVIEW 8.0. But VBAI does not accept this VI.
So I am looking for someone, who has LabVIEW 8.0 installed and Vision installed who could be kind enough to open my VI under labview 8.0 and just save it without any modification., and send it back to me.
Thxs for your help !

  • TF207012:You cannot save this query with this name because another query that uses this name is already open.

    Hi,
I am developing a custom control in TFS2012 using c#. The custom control is a button, when I click it in UI, the current work item will be saved in the next state.
But if I new a workitem using the button and save it using "save work item" button after changing something, I always get an error called TF207012. After I close the error message, the workitem has been saved.
How can I removed this error message?
    Any help will be apperciated.Thanks.

    Hi Aodixius,
For this issue, you might check whether you have defect in your custom control. Generelly, you may also need to custom a web control for team web access after customizing for Visual Studio. About custom control for TFS work item, check the links below for
more information and make sure your custom control works.

  • Since installing Firefox 4 I can't open my emails (Talk Talk). THey tell me it's an issue with Firefox 4. I've not had this problem with earlier versions. Help!

When I log in to my email account, I get the message "You have undefined emails " and I can't login to my inbox. This didn't happen until I installed Firefox 4.

I have the same problem as luiszamarreno. I tried using the following to update:
sudo apt-get --purge remove adobe-flashplugin flashplugin-nonfree; sudo apt-get --purge autoremove; sudo apt-get clean; sudo apt-get upgrade; sudo apt-get --purge autoremove; sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree
Now I have the "flashplugin-nonfree" v. 10.01.218+really9.0.283.0ubuntu1 and it still doesn't work for the Facebook plugin. I get the notice it has crashed and needs to be updated. I also get a notice to update on the plugins page under tools --> addons. When I try that, it goes to the Adobe Web site, which I have seen on Ubuntu support sites that I do not want to upgrade from there.
Does anybody have an answer to this?

  • Controlling Hamamatsu Camera with LabVIEW

I am using a Hamamatsu 1394 ORCA-ERA Camera in order to save microscope images on a PC. Im my lab, we are attempting to automate the process of saving an image from this microscope, and coordinate the time of the image capture with a function performed with LabVIEW.
As the 1394 name implies, this camera is connected to our PC using a firewire port. Is it possible to control the function of this camera with LabVIEW through a firewire port? What additional LabVIEW libraries would I need in order to perform this task, if any? Finally, is it possible to use LabVIEW to control a program called micro-manager that we currently use to save images? I know the Hamamatsu API supports both programs, but I am not sure if cross-communication between them is supported.
Thank you for reading, any response is greatly appreciated.

You say the API supports LabVIEW.  Does it have any example code for you to start with?  Typically driver sets include examples to make it easier to work with their API.
If it works with that API, I'd see if you can get that to work with taking the images without using the second program.  You can typically use something like system exec on a Windows machine to run programs.  I'm not sure of anything that works similarly for a Mac.  Does micro-manager have an API you can use to make calls to it?

  • Record audio with labview and audio dataplugin

The thing I would like to do, is write waveforms to WAV/wma/mp3 files.
The way to do this, is probably with the help of the audio data plugin.
However, it is far from clear how to configure and use this plugin with LabView. There is documentation available for DIAdem, but what good is that to me, as a simple LabView user?
There is also an example for reading dataPlugin data with LabView, but this example is:
    A) not working, e.g. it cannot open a simple WAV file, when using "uspAudio" as DataPlugin Name
    B) not documented
    C) not handeling errors
    D) only reading, not writing, which is slightly more complicated.
So, tips for writing waveform to audio files and/or
tips for working with dataPlugins in LabView would be welcome...

Ok, so, now I can read a WAV/WMA/mp3 file, see attached VI
There's still one problem: writing data to a WAV/WMA/mp3 file. In my "DataPlugin Write Audio File.vi" I try to read from / listen to a microphone connected to a AD card. On the Waveform graph, I see my signal correctly, but in the WAV file, there is only a flat line (zero's).
Perhaps it is needed to add properties to the group, but I don't know which properties to add...
    All advice is appreciated...

  • N6030A Connection with LabView

    Hi,
I am working with N6030A connected to Laptop through MXI Express.
    I read http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=270&message.id=3106&requireLogin=False
and it doesn't solve my problem, everything in IVI-drivers section on Measurement and Automatic Explorer seems to be alright
I have a code in mathlab, which can strangely communicate with the N6030A. Moreover, the N6030A Control Utility can detect the N6030A address.
However, I cannot even connect to this device with LabView.
When I use a AGN6030A driver (AGN6030A Initialize with Option) on Labview and connect it with an IVI resource name, there is only "ASRL3::INST" address available, which I don't really know what kind of device it is. Anyway, the connection using this resource name doesn't work either.
I have also tried to copy the resource name that is showed on my N6030 Control Utility, and it doesn't work.
    Can you guys help me.
    Thank you

    Hi,
Which instrument driver did you download? Which hardware bus are you using (GPIB, PXI, ethernet, etc)? I assume your instrument is PXI based; is this correct?
The resource name "ASRL3::INSTR" corresponds to your serial port in your computer. If you are connecting to your N6030A using this serial port, ASRL3::INSTR is the correct resource to choose.
From searching the instrument driver network, it looks like this is the only instrument driver available. It does not look like it is an IVI driver, but instead a software utility that you can use to communicate with the instrument. How do you access this instrument through Matlab? Through a DLL? Through VISA?

  • B&R Powerlink Ethernet module support with LabVIEW

    Hello Guys,
I wanted to use the B&R Powerlink Ethernet module for one of my industrial applications where in I am planning to use cRIO system for the control but my drives ACOPOS 1022 servo Drive requires this module B&R Powerlink Ethernet module. The link is
    http://www.br-automation.com/cps/rde/xchg/br-productcatalogue/hs.xsl/cookies_allowed.htm?caller=prod...
So i wanted to check the compatibility of LabVIEW with this particular module and if there is any option for me to program or atleast communicate with this module directly via LabVIEW? This will help me finalize my system and go ahead and start building.
Looking forward for some responses from everyone who has worked with similar setup.
Thank you so much in advance.
    Regards,
    Priyank Desai.

    Hi,
unfortunatelly servodrives from B&R have no open programming interface, so you can not programm them from LabView. For operating B&R servodrive, B&R CPU is a must. This is because operating system of servodrive and all necessary parameters are stored at B&R CPU to guarantee trouble free run always. B&R serfvodrive ACOPOS is not for "component business".
You can listen and command them, when there is a B&R master CPU and servodrive is configured for that.
Following B&R product are Powerling standalone with no need for CPU:
    ACOPOSinverter P74/P84
    X20 IO system
    X67 IO system
B&R CPU is required for ACOPOSmicro, ACOPOS, ACOPOSmulti ACOPOSm65 servodrive systems.
I suggest to contact local supoort of B&R at your country and they will help you how to connect this drive with LabView.

    Solved!

    Hi Jam.Hall
I am somewhat hesitant to say you will be able to use this camera with LabVIEW.  It all depends on what functionality you are wanting to utilise on the camera, and how much video you want to analyze.
     - If you want to use the wireless functionality, I am concered that the on board web server will compress and embed the video stream.  I do not beleive this is something we can access in LabVIEW.
     - If you wish to use the ethernet connection, if it is Gigabit Ethernet, then you should be able to use our IMAQ for GigE driver to bring in the feed, but looking at the specs for the camera, I'm not sure that this is an option.
     - My other suggestion might be to utilise the record video stream function that the camera has.  Depending on the format of the video file, you may be able to read in the recorded file and analyse it in LabVIEW.
If you could explain the purpose of your application, and what you would like to achieve with the system, there may be more suitable products that you can use.
    Kind regards,

  • File drag and drop with Labview 7 and Mac OS X Tiger?

    Hi folks,
I've lost the ability to drag and drop files into front panel file path
controls, since I upgraded to a new OS X version. Specifically:
    What used to work:
        - Labview 7.0
        - Mac OS X 10.3.x
        - drag file icon from desktop and drop onto file path control (file path control shows path to dropped file)
    New action taken:
        - lost old Mac (Titanium) with OS X 10.3.x
        - bought new Mac (Aluminum) with OS X 10.4
        - installed OS X 10.4 "over" 10.3 disk (did not build from scratch)
What happens now (three days after birth of new system):
        - all my past Labview apps still seem to run
        - but, if I drag a file from the desktop and drop it onto the file path control I see:
              - file path control
"outlines" indicating that it understands the intended drag and drop
    action
              - when the file is dropped the file path control does not report the new value
              - And the file path control still has it's old value
Anyone else seeing this? Am I missing something obvious (Labview or OS X preferences)?
    Thanks in advance,
    RMP

    Hello,
I don't know how seriously Apple sees the problem, but it doesn't seem plausible that they would rev the OS on account of just this problem with LabVIEW, particularly since we worked around it for the latest version of LabVIEW.  I understand you are working with another engineer at NI via direct email regarding this issue, and that is going to be a better forum for discussing the possibility of obtaining the Apple bug report number.  In the event R&D is willing to reveal it, I presume they will be more comfortable doing so on a case by case basis, as opposed to posting it on the external discussion forum.
Thank you, and sorry for the inconvenience you have encountered due to this issue.
