Save time-dependent color in u3d/pdf file

Hi all,
I am wondering if there is a way in Acrobat professional extended that allows me to save time-dependent color
for a solution of FEM analysis. The color is also spatial dependent.
I know there is "3D capture tool" that can save spatial dependent color but I would like to show the solution
in an animated way.

Here's my favorite scenario:
1. User clicks button
2. Save As dialog displays
3. User chooses location
4. A set of PDF files download to that location OR a single zip file downloads
Background:
I want to ensure the user sees that files are being downloaded. I'm delivering content to users who may not be Web savvy.
Concern:
1. User has no clue how to find downloaded files or that files have even downloaded.
2. I'd like to deliver the set as zip files. Not sure if self-opening zip files still exist.
FYI:
I'm using jQuery UI buttons. Not sure if that factors into response.

Just for clarity, I'm not forcing a download. The user will click a button.

Removing color from a PDF file

I am trying to remove the colors from a PDF file.
To do this I print it to "Adobe pdf" setting the parameter in the Paper/Quality tab, Black & White.
But in the generated PDF the color is still there !

When you say you cannot print, do you see any error? Please use Print button from Reader toolbar instead of Safari > Print.
What is your Safari version? You can find it from Safari > About Safari

In Pages, go to File > Export > Word, so the document will be saved in .doc to be able to use it in Word

Very slow times on iBooks when open PDF files after upgrading IOS 5

Hi,
After I had upgraded my ipad 1 to the new iOS 5 every time that I open a PDF file inside iBooks it takes, at least, one minut. After it works fine and I don't have special problems when I'm reading but on finishing it and returning to the library it takes one other minute. It's annoying!!
Inside the library I have about 200 pdf files.
Before my upgrading all worked fine!
Anyone has any suggestions?

Usually related to file associations in Windows. Right click on the PDF and select the Open With option and select Acrobat. Be sure to check "always open with."

My issue: I want to save several pdf files (from the Adobe Reader in my browser) one at a time and each time it defaults the save as directory to the desktop and I have to go looking for the directory I last saved a pdf file in. I got lots of directories and I wish I could change the default setting for the save as directory. Just a minor thing but irritating as other programs usually will allow you to switch the default save as directory to one of your choosing.

There is not a way to set the default location from all the forums i searched in the last couple days.

Color Display for PDF Files Creative Cloud in Browser View

I have noticed that there is a great difference in color display between a PDF and .ai/eps files. When viewed in the browser there seems to be no ICC taking affect for PDF files even though options to include the profiles, etc in output were selected. This makes it hard to use as a tool when showing clients proofs via the browser as they will never see proper color. I know color will vary between monitors but the difference is huge for some colors. Like a dark almost Navy Blue appearing like a vibrant pen ink blue. On a Mac when you use the quick spacebar preview the correct color shows for all versions of file type but in the browsers it shows the color incorrectly. Have tried this so far on the Mac in in Safari, Chrome and Firefox. Even Google Drive can display all the file types correctly with correct color although the way it shows eps files is a bit off. That I don't mind as I rarely save eps files anymore.
Is there something I am missing or is this a defect in the browser display?
The other possible option would be to flip my thinking and save everything as .ai files with PDF compatibility turned on and then have to tell clients that they should be able to open that ai file in Acrobat. At the moment I save everything as PDF files with Illustrator compatibility turned on.

I've got this 4 page pdf file, and I need to save just one page from it. I know that there's the option of using the select tool and doing a copy/paste to an image file, but I'm trying to keep it as a .pdf and I can't seem to figure it out. Any help would be much appreciated.

You could try to see if the "Free PDF to Word Doc Converter version 1.1" will work for you....
I know it will not get you a single page .PDF but if the program works you could get a .Doc of which you might have the possibility to save a single page after editing it !(?)

White default background color in indesign pdf file

When I export in indesign cs6 pdf file (I made a digital flipbook and I want to upload it on my website) there is a white default color in the background. Is there a way to get rid of this white default color or make it transparent in indesign?

We had a quick discussion about your query in the office this morning.
Are you looking to do an animated flipbook which will "float" on your webpage like an animation incorporated into your website... Or you just don't want to have a white background on your pages and would like a different colour?
We couldn't think of any way to do an animation without a white background with exporting from InDesign to PDF, I just don't think InDesign is the right tool for that job. InDesign is more for print publishing or Digital Publishing, not for web animation or creating things that look animated for web. InDesign defaults to a white page for all projects, although the page colour is easy to change it can't be made transparent.
So you can place a background layer in your InDesign document that matches the background colour or pattern of your website so that when you export your flipbook it will open as a document with a background that will match your page.
Flash, or possibly Photoshop and Illustrator depending on what final product you are trying to do, might be better tools for the job that your are looking to accomplish.

How do I change the highlight color of my PDF file?

On my PDF files, I'm able to highlight text, but cannot figure out how to change the color of the highlight. I've got Adobe Reader, and also paid to upgrade - but honestly, I'm not sure which program I have. This is the most confusing application I've ever used!

Yes, you can change existing highlight color also.
For this, go to 'Comment List' on the right hand side and select any one comment.
Now, press 'cmd+A' to select all the comments in the list and then 'control click' to choose 'Properties' from the pop down.
Choose highlight color as desired from 'Highlight Properties' dialog box.
