Saved and publieshed Projects are not linking to the enterprise project types

Hi
We have 15 enterprise project types, when we create a project we will select that EPT's and create projects.
After create the project -- saving and Publishing -- server settings -- change or restart work flow -- it must show the project under the EPT which we selected but the problem is that it is showing all the projects in None.
We tried to asscoiate the project to the EPT but still it is ssowing up in basic project paln which we are not using.
Can any one had faced this kind of issue please revert..

Usually it means there's a failure in the workflow. A couple things:
1) Check the ULS log.
2) Try creating the projects from a non-SysAdmin account - which typically doesn't have a user profile - which causes workflow to fail.
3) Try creating an EPT with no workflow and see if you get the same results.

I have temporarily solved the sync problem by using an older MBAir running snow leopard, I exported
both calendar and contacts and imported them in the MBA and synced normally.
Since I'm not about to send my data on the cloud, or setup a server to just sync my iphone,
I think this is a good workaround ! BTW I stopped updating my contacts and calendar on the MB, I only
update the iphone until a permanent solution is found !
And they better come up with one soon, because I'll just switch to an Android phone and Ubuntu linux for my MBP, Apple should make our lives easier, not harder !
I'm sure Samsung is having a ball ever since the sync issue was made public !
Hopefully Apple is listening and will make things right again !

Approved and published items are not shown in the catalog search

We are implementing SRM 4.0 SSP scenario .
To support shopping of EBP we are also implementing CCM 2.0 as an add on.
Please note CCM and EBP are on same client and CAT & CSE are also on the same client.
No XI is involved. The catalog scheme was uploaded as CSV 2.0. The items for the catalog was created manually in CAT.
Although the item has the status "approved" and the procurement catalog which is also the master catalog was published successfully the item is not shown after searching by CSE in EBP. Also the categories of the scheme are not shown in the catalog search.
Do i have to approve the categories too and if yes can you explain me how to do this?
I think you see that I'm a newbie at srm and ccm and this problem is probably no real problem but I have not found any similar topics in the forum. So please can you help.

Bernd: the reason I asked about views is that you don't have any error messages. This might indicate that (a) you have no items in the view, or (b) there's something wrong with view-role-user assignment.
To check for (a), please go to the published procurement catalog, and go to Views tab. Check that your View is Active. Click on your View ID link to display view details. You should see a list of characteristics assigned to your view in Assign Characteristics sub-tab (the list should not be blank!). Go to Assign Items sub-tab. Navigate in your schema to find items that are supposed to be assigned to your view. You should see "Yes" in the "Assigned" column for those products. If you don't, then you simply don't have any items in your view.
Another thing I'd like you to check: when the user calls your procurement catalog for search, do you see the name of the catalog displayed just below the drop-down "Select Categories Hierarchically"?

When a Mac is "registered" for iMessages account with an Apple ID the Serial Number of the Mac is used to create an Auth Token as it is called for the Messages app that allows that Mac to work.
I would guess a similar process of linking the Number of the iPhone to a Hardware fact about the device is also in place.
I would contact Apple Support and check with them. (you might need to speak to a Level 2 person as Level 1 people are script led and try to fit everything into Software or Hardware categories where as sorting and Apple ID (which the Number is in this case) is normally Free).

My email gets bounced into an eternal loop in the outbox and says that my iCloud and me account are not recognized by the server? I've tried setting up another account and it says that I already have them set up, and it is stil only sending 1 or 2 message

My messages get lost in an eternal loop in my out box and it says that my iCloud me accounts are not recognized by the server. I can send 1 or 2 out of 10.
We tried adding a new account and that didn't work. We then deleted the account and started again. Still didn't work. Extremely frustrated!

There also seems to be something wrong with the time!!! My posting says 5:30ish but it was 8:30ish?

Missing part list is incomplete while creating Production Order and 2 components are not shown in the list.

We are facing issue for availability check. During creation of Production order, the missing part list is not complete and it should show componenet A in the Missing part list. Below is the details:
Production Order quantity: 100 kg
Componenet A required quantity: 100 kg
MMBE Unrestricted qty: 1000 kg
MMBE Reserved Quantity: 2000 kg
So as per above figures component A should come as missing part during availability check. But it is not coming as missing part. Please check and give your inputs.

The results of availability check should NEVER be compared with MMBE. As already mentioned, transaction CO09 is more appropriate.

Why are the text and graphic elements are not showing on the iPad

I have a slideshow of pictures full bleed on my inDesign document with text and graphics on top of the pictures (not part of the slideshow).
When I preview on the iPad all I can see is the gallery of images?
Is it not possible to put text on top of a slideshow?
Here it is as it appears on InDesign...
...and here as it appears on the iPad...
Any ideas? I'm pretty new at this, but I couldnt find anything in the forums

They're called overlays for a reason. You'll need to change the text to an MSO as well.
Select it, create a new MSO, set it to play once no delay, no crossfade.
Other choice would be to put the text into each state of the MSO.

BW/BI WAD Templates are not appearing in the Enterprise Portal.

Are you getting Blank Page while executing the web Template ???
Then the problem might caused by some outdated iView portal content.
Deploy Supportdesk tool as per note 937697 and see if RED signals are there, if you find any then make sure you clear those
RED signals by using remidies provided in the solution part on the same support desk tool.
Make sure the Supportdesk tool signals are GREEN.

Dates are not mapped as the Date data type in Universe created on Infoset

Hi,
When i try to create the universe on top of Infoset query, the date fields present as the variables in SAP BI Query are not mapped as date data type in Universe, instead they are considered as Characters, hence the prompts related to those variables are coming s List of values instead of Calendar in WebI.
Can any one pls help me to find the solution on how to map date variables as calendar in Webi Prompts.(For SAP BI Queries created on Infoset)

The I Query is built on Top of BW MultiProvider and the InfoObject is of Type DATS.
Actually our Modeling on the BI is as follows :
DSOs> Infoset>Multiprovider->BI query>Universe.
Since we were not able to get the prompts as Calander so We tried Debugging on different Data targets to find the root cause. Please find our observations as follows:
When I tested the same date infoobject(of Type DATS) by creating a BI Query on top of DSO, Infocube & Multiprovider ,the Prompts are working fine as a calander in WEBI Report.
But when the BI Query is built on Infoset data target, In WEBI Report I am getting list of values rather a Calender prompt .
I tested in the Universe that field is appearing as Character instead of Date.
Please guide to resolve this issue.

Mozilla crashed yesterday and now bookmarks are not showing along the left side of page as they did before. They are on the menu bar but hubby does not like this location. Anyway I can get it back to the left side of the page?

This spring we changed from IE to Mozilla after upgrading to Win 7. Everything has been fine with Firefox until yesterday when it crashed when I attempted to open an email. Since then the bookmarks (or favorites as my husband calls them) have not been in their usual place which was along the left side of the page. They are located in the Bookmarks bar at the top of the page but husband prefers the old IE way which we had until yesterday PM. Is there any way that we can get them back to the left side of the page other than going back to IE? Now that I have gotten used to Firefox I like it just fine.

Airport Extreme and Airport Express are not found on the Airport Utility. Internet still works. Huh?

I have an Airport Extreme serving as my wireless router with an external hard drive connected to it. I also have an Airport Express in another room connected to a stereo for Airplay. Neither can be found on the Airport Utility (v5.5.3), but wireless internet still works. This happens often, with both reappearing in Airport Utility for short amounts of time periodically. What's the deal? Both the Extreme and Express are less than 6 months old. It's a bit frustrating not getting tunes when you have everything set up right and not being able to use Time Machine consistently.
All recommendations appreciated.

The reason for that issue is the frequency (radio band) hopping of the station.
On your AP-Extreme
Enter the manual setup
Disable Guest Network if not desperately needed
Set a dedicated name for the 5GHz wireless (wireless -> wireless options)
Eventually change the radio mode (if no 802.11b/g systems in your home) to "only 802.11n (5GHz) - only 802.11n (2.4GHz)" by holding down the option key *alt* while clicking on the drop down.
On your Mac
Disable (switch off) wireless
Enter system configuration -> network -> wireless
Uncheck "Ask to join new networks"
Enter advanced options and check that your wireless name is in the first position of the list. If not, drag it with the mouse to the first position.
Click apply
Join your wireless again and try to connect to the 5GHz name (SSID) because the 5GHz will improve the connection speed of your Mac remarkably.
Eventually you might change the settings on the Express too.
Check the location of the AP-Extreme.
It should NOT be placed: On the floor, in a corner, behind furniture, near metal objects, life high voltage wire or cordless phone bases.
It should be placed: As high as possible (up on a shelf or ceiling mounted) with a maximum line of sight to all stations, even thru walls.
If your home situation allows that, try to use the 5GHz band only. If you own a iPhone this must use the 2.4GHz radio.

Music and Video's are not recognized on the iphone post update on 9/26

Hello everyone,
A couple days I did the iphone update that allowed me to send picture texts etc. After that, when I attempted to play music it said that there was no music content. In addition, when I tried to sync up the phone with itunes it didn't recognize it as a song/video file so I couldn't simply remove and reload (the file was recognized as "other" and took up all the size of the video's/music on the hard drive.
Anyone else have this problem? and/or know how to fix it?

I'm no Apple expert, just ran into this problem myself.
Solution:
1) Before you can transfer the purchases you need to Authorise the computer (do this from the Store menu)
2) Once the computer is authorised, then you can transfer the purchases (File->Devices->Transfer...)
User Experience comments for Apple:
3) Hiding the menu bar is plain stupid and ruins the User Experience. I've been fighting iTunes for weeks and only now have I found it. How useful. This really is not clever or smart. It's amazingly dumb. Frustratingly this is like the rubbish Microsoft is now doing with Vista/7 and moreso with Windows 8.
Repeat after me: Hiding menus does not help the user of the software.
4) The warning when you try to update is useful in that it stops you losing data but useless in that it doesn't tell you (in sensible, non-expert language) how to do this. It really should have either:
a) A help button taking you to an explanation of the problem
b) A "transfter these files for me button" that takes you through all the necessary steps, including authorising the computer if need be.
I'm gobsmacked that I'm advising Apple on User Experience issues, but there you go.
