Saved passwords in Firefox

A recent upgrade of firefox caused all the saved password to disappear. . Is any one has similar issue?

firefox, I meant the default Gran Paradiso. (sorry not to mention that). The current one is 3.0.11. As I have the previous .mozilla backup I could get the passwords back. I could not figure out why all saved passwords got lost.

firefox saved an old password for logging into my ebay account and i want to make it remember a new one so that every time I login to ebay I don't have to erase the one it keeps remembering and put in the new one. • How to delete saved password from Firefox mobile

I saved an incorrect email address

Hello,
Firefox for Android doesn't have the option to edit saved passwords individually. You may try this addon that should do the job.

Hope that helps.

• HOW DO I MANUALLY ENTER 'USER I.D.' AND 'PASSWORD' INTO "SAVED PASSWORDS" WHEN FIREFOX CANNOT 'SAVE' THEM? THANK YOU!

(EXCUSE MY ALL CAPS - VISION PROBLEM)
PASSWORD CAPTURE IS A GREAT FEATURE! BUT - ON SOME FEW SITES, FIREFOX CANNOT CAPTURE USER I.D. AND PASSWORD - SO - HOW CAN I MANUALLY ENTER THIS INFO INTO 'SAVED PASSWORD' UNDER TOOLS/OPTIONS?
THANK YOU: JNR

Be aware that if Firefox doesn't offer to store a password then Firefox probably won't fill the password as well if you visit that website and sign on.
In that case you can try to type the first letter of the name and/or double click the name field or press the cursor Down arrow.

The website may be using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving the name and password.
If that is the case then you can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save the name and password.

• How do I use "saved passwords" to access a site?

I have a list of saved passwords in firefox. So what steps do I use to access the site. If I click on the saved password entry nothing happens? I want to use firefox saved passwords software. I used to use Roboform where I had a list of logins and just clicked on the entry and the username/password was entered automatically. Can firefox do this, too? If so tell me how to do it? Where's the list of logins in firefox that I can click on and have the username & password filled in from the saved list? My windows XP/pro died so I had to transfer data to Win7. Some of my Roboform data was lost so I am starting over and want to use Firefox software for username/password to access sites similar to the way Roboform works? Tell me how?

• Where can I get the main password for Firefox? I can not reach in my internet bank because i don't know this password?

Hi,
i have a problem. I'm reaching my internet bank via Firefox. But suddenly it is asking me to type a main password. This is not a password for internet bank account but it supposed to be a password for Mozilla. I don't remember setting this password and now I'm not able to log in in my bank. Where can i get this password asap?
Thank you very much for your help,
Janza

Is this the Master Password for the Firefox Password Manager?
The Current Firefox release allows to save a name and password from sites that have a log in form with autocomplete="off".
If you want to disable this new feature then you can toggle the signon.storeWhenAutocompleteOff pref to false on the about:config page with a double-click.
You can open the about:config page via the location bar and you can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
Can you access the saved passwords?

• How can I check and see my saved password

I want to check my saved passwords on firefox mobile and modify them.

hello abounaya, there is no built-in way to do that yet. you'd have to use an addon like https://addons.mozilla.org/android/addon/mobile-password-manager.

• I go to tools then options when I try to open saved passwords it brings up a red circle with a line through it and wont open

I go to tools and the options and I can't open any of the tabs at the top Eg I go to exceptions and I get a red circle with a line through it.This is the same for all of the options that have exceptions and saved passwords.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
* https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
* Use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

• I use master password & if I change passwords on a site, it doesn't ask to "change" Also doesn't ask to "remember" with new usernames/passwords. Does anyone know how to fix this or add usernames & passwords to saved password page on Firefox.

Firefox (I think version 5, maybe 4) does not ask to "remember" passwords anymore nor does it ask to "change" a password when I've done that. It didn't ask when I changed my Facebook password & I have to log in each time so I removed my username & password for FB on Firefox's "saved password" page. When I've don't that before, it asks to "remember" but doesn't anymore. I use a master password.

• After updating to Firefox 3.6.13 saved passwords no longer work

Prior to updating to 3.6.13 saved usernames and passwords worked as they should (those fields were automatically filled in). Now after installing 2.6.13 most saved login info will not fill in upon entering the web site. I can go to tools, options, security, saved passwords and all are still listed, yet do not work. I have deleted a couple thinking Firefox would then ask to save login data for that same site, but it doesn't. I tried reverting back to my previous version of 3.5.16 bur saved passwords will no longer work there either.
It seems as if Firefox doesn't see the saved info.

How do I transfer all my Firefox saved passwords to my new hard drive and operating system? Going from xp to windows 7. I have the old hard drive hooked up as drive f. Can I copy and paste from old drive directory to new drive directory?

You need to copy 2 files, key3.db and signons.sqlite, from the old profile folder to the profile folder on the new computer.
