SAVED PICTURES

Please help. All my saved pictures (as in pictures that have been emailed to me and I have saved from email only) are pixelated. No one at Apple seems to know why or what's causing this. If you can help, you are a God-sent to me.
I've tried deleting all, restoring to factory settings once all were deleted, you name it, I've tried it.
Thanks for any help/suggestions you provide!

  • I duplicated a picture and now iPhoto (11) is cloning that picture replacing all the other photos and only when I click directly on them I can see the real picture! How can I solve the problem without losing any saved picture? Shall I re-install? Thanx

I duplicated a picture selecting CMD and D but, suddenly, iPhoto (latest version '11) started cloning that picture and replacing all the other photos with it.
Only when I click directly on one photo I can open it and see the real picture it is.
But the preview is always the duplicated one...
I tryed to duplicate another picture just to see if it turned out ok but the only changement was the duplicated picture!
I started repeating the second duplicated one instead of the previous one but my issue remained the same.
So, how can you help me to solve this problem without losing any saved picture?
    Shall I re-install iPhoto completely?
Thank you very very much in advance!!

As Larry says, restoring the back up is the fastest and best solution. Otherwise:
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

  • Why firefox has slow response when i 'm saving pictures to hard disk?

I have windows 7 64 bit and Mozila firefox ver. 17.0.1. I have the following problem. When i try to save a picture from a site (right mouse click and save as) to the hard disk of my pc, the response of firefox is slow. It takes about 6 to 10 seconds. I thought it was a matter of file size but it proved that it was irrelevant, because it was happening to pictures from 10kb to 500kb. I did the following:
    - clear history
    - clear cache from firefox and the folder ''cache'' in my profile
    - delete the files downloads.sqlite and localstore.rdf
    - i changed the ''browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone'' and ''services.sync.prefs.sync.browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone'' to false
    - clear the downloads window
    - disable all add-ons
After all these, the problem still remained
Then i started firefox in safe mode (help --> Restart with Add-ons Disabled...). The problem still remained.
Then i disabled Microsoft security essentials (real time protection) and windows firewall. I do not have any other anti-virus or firewall on my pc. Nothing happened.
Then i created a new profile (reset firefox). Nothing happened. So, one last attempt was left to do. Reboot with safe mode. So i followed the following steps.
i ran msconfig and disabled ''Microsoft Security Client'' from start up tab and ''Microsoft Antimalware Service'' from services tab. So i did a safe mode boot with network support and windows firewall, disabled. Guess what. Nothing happened.
I noticed that when i was trying to save pictures, during the process, there was a significant hard disk activity (the led indicator of hard disk activity was lighting constantly) and firefox on the left upper corner, shown the message ''not responding'' for about 6 to 10 seconds. You understand that saving a picture of 19kb in 10 seconds is not normal.
Is this problem has to do with the cache? The hard disk is an SSD (solid state drive). Do you think it would be better to redirect cache to memory? (i have 6GB total RAM). This problem was also happening to previous versions of firefox, but i think that with this version, the problem is more frequent. It is not happening with every picture, but it happens with more than 65% of the pictures.
It also happens when loading a web page, but it might be a matter of a heavy web page that uses many resources of my system, during loading. The problem is the same. Constant hard disk activity and it takes time to load the web page. The problem with web page loading, is not as frequent as with saving pictures.
I think it is a matter of cache management. What is your opinion?
    Thank you.

The cause to my problem was the jump lists, that Windows 7 introduced. There are two kinds of jump lists, automatic and custom. Automatic jump lists were causing the slow down of firefox through window explorer. Finally it was a problem of windows explorer and not firefox. Windows 7 introduced many new features that cause slow system performance. Anyway the solution to the problem is to follow the steps:
    1. Open mycomputer and on the address bar paste the path: %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations
    2. Press ctrl + a
    3. press shift + delete and delete everything inside the folder
I think that the respective jump list of windows explorer is the one that starts with 1b4dd67f29cb1962, in case you don't want to delete every jump list in the folder. If you use firefox, download a file and then go to the above mentioned path and view files by date. The most recent file should be the correspondent with firefox.

  • Using iPhoto 09, 8.1.2 How do I re-route saving pictures to the hard drive? Currently am saving to files on 'my' partition, and would like to change to save to a shared file so both partitions can view and access.

Drag the Library from the Pictures folder to the Users/Shared folder. I would point out that folks doing this on 10.6 and later frequently meet permissions issues. You might do better moving it to an appropriately formatted External Disk.

  • Print Screen in landscape mode flips it in saved pictures

1.) Hold your iPad in landscape mode
2.) Do a print screen by holding the "sleep" and "home" buttons ( the only two buttons on the iPad, same as iPhone)
3.) Go to "Saved Pictures" in the Photo App
It's reversed!!!!! Or is this only me?

I use Rotate Mojo to handle orientation. It is an iPhone app, but works just fine, with no impact on image quality.
As far as the mirror image issue goes, that is not something that is happening on my iPad. I just double checked both orientations.

  • Saving pictures from email.

When saving pictures to my iphone from an email the pictures show up very blurry & not as crisp & clean that they had looked in the email. Transfered pictures from my computer to my iphone look great. What is wrong with my pictures? & How can I get them to look good when I save them.
    Thanks,
    E

I'm having this same problem and it has been going on for a couple of months now. Every time I try and save a picture from an email or the internet, it shows up very blurry on my iphone. This even happens from pictures that I saved from emails awhile ago; they used to be clear and sharp, now they are very blurry.
Anyone out there have any ideas about this one??

  • Access saved pictures without CameraRoll on iOS / Android

    Hi there,
Does anyone can confirm that because of sandboxing restrictions, there is no way (eg File class) to access saved pictures folder (aka DCIM...) without using CameraRoll class and thus native UI on iOS and Android devices?
The reason I want to do this is that I need to create an image browser with different picture size that the tiny one provided by native CameraRoll UI, like in Instagram app on iOS does.
    Maybe an ANE ?
    Thanks for your advices.

    Govinda,
Will it hit a beta version of the SDK so we can test and provide feedback?  I do appreciate the response given how old this is but I have a ton of poor comments and one of my apps has been severely down ranked in Google Play as a result which is translating to lost revenue.  Any info you can provide on this is appreciated like which version / build number, which bugs are resolved and general availability would be nice (1 week, 1 month?).  The AIR release notes leave much to be desired.  Is the below fixed?  It shows open and unverified currently...

  • Camera not saving pictures

A few weeks ago my Z10 stopped saving pictures in the camera album. All the old pix are still there, but if I take a new picture it vanishes in about 5 sec. I have plenty of room on both my device and SD memory.
Is there any sort of maximum image limit in an album?
    Thanks,
    Dwells

The limit is the size of your memory, if you have a sd card, in camera settings enable 'Save on Media Card'.

  • Saving Picture Package

    Hello there,
Can someone help me with an issue in saving picture package?
I tried creating a picture package and when I  tried saving it on the adobe presets, a message appears,
    C:\program file(x86) adobe\adobe photoshopcs3\presets\layouts\2-8x10.
You don't have permission to save in this location.
    Contact administrator to obtain permission.
    I am using windows vista64.
    Thanks,
    Romeo

instead of double clicking on the Photoshop shortcut, right click it and chose "Run as administrator", you should be able to save in that location but you have to do this whenever you want to save a preset in the default location. This is Vista telling you that it doesn't like where Photoshop maintains it's layouts(it's a security risk or somesuch) for Picture Package and is also one of the reasons(not one of the big reasons but still) why they dropped this feature from CS4(though you can still get it back by installing the optional plug-ins)
The other option would be to disable UAC from Control Panel->User Accounts and select Turn User Account Control on or off

  • Photo Booth is not saving pictures in the folder

    Hey,
I am facing some issues with my Photo Booth! I am able to take pictures and they drop down to the bottom of the photo booth window, but when i check the folder in ‘'pictures'' its always empty. Before the pictures which were taken got automatically saved in the folder, now nothing happens.
I hope someone can help me out.
    Sofia

    Hello sofia62,
After reviewing your post, it sounds like you want to have the pictures taken in PhotoBooth to show up in Pictures. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.
This article says 4.x but these step still work to export in version 7.
Photo Booth 4.x: Export a Photo Booth snapshot or video clip
Click the thumbnail and choose File > Export, or Control-click the thumbnail and choose Export.Specify a filename, select a location for the file, and click Save.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Have a nice day,
    Mario
