Saved texts deleted after turning iMessage off
All my saved texts were deleted after I turned iMessage off. Anyone know why and how to get messages back without restoring?
If I try my app with the DefaultGrayPhone or QwertyDevice, it works ok, the data keeps stored after a turn the mobile off, like the DefaultColorPhone used to work.Looks like you're using WTK - right? When I had problems like you describe, I typically cleaned up appdb folder.
appdb folder is usually located in WTK installation directory. In some versions it could be placed somewhere in "user documents" directory.
Typically, I simply removed "DefaultColorPhone" subfolder of appdb. To be on a safer side, you better make a backup copy of this folder prior to its deletion.

Turn off iMessage and Facetime. Put phone on airplane mode. Turn on iMessage then facetime and retry sending. You can also try turning off your phone instead of airplane mode as well.
Make sure for imessage to work there must be data such as cellular data on or wifi. -
Data deleted after turning emulator off

I developed a MIDP app that (among other things) stores a username and password, so you don't have to type them every time. This code was working fantastic, but I think I had a problem with the emulator. Yesterday morning, the username and pass were stored in the mobile emulator (DefaultColorPhone), no matter if I turned the emulator on and off, they kept stored anyway. Yesterday afternoon, while I was storing the user name and password, the computer went off. And since that moment, the username and password are not stored any longer after I turn the mobile off. If I start and exit the app (withouth turning off the emulator), the data is stored properly, but after I turn it off, the data disapears (store.getNumRecords() returns zero). I believe something got damaged, but I don't know how to fix it. I already deleted de db and create it again, but nothing changed.

I turned my imessage off on accident and I turned it back on right away and now my messages only send as text messages
When you turned it on right away, did it complete the activation process? When you go into Settings>Messages, does it show as activated? If not, then turn it off, wait about 15 seconds and then turn it on again. It should activate right away. If not, then see this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4268

I have 2 Iphones, registered under the same AppleID. Mine, and my mom's. I recently (today) did the software udate for her phone, and ever since-she receives every message i send to my girlfriend, and every response that my girlfriend sends to me. I read up on Imessage, and checked the settings on both phones. On each phone "imessage"was turned on, so i turned Imessage off. Will this solve the problem of my mom receiving every message that i send and receive? Also, if i turn Imessage back on, on my phone-will i still have privacy to text?
Why not create a second Apple ID? Wouldn't that solve the problem much more straightforwardly?

Ipad2, I can not sign in to imessage after turning it off and doing a hard reboot. Upon entering my info it states no network connection, but I can use it o surf in Safari and iter websites. Any suggestions. Went on with Apple, they think its my network. All other wireless equipment can ign on without problems. This happened after I turned imessage off.

Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > You can be reached by iMessage at:
Select the right facing arrow in a blue circle next to the email address this girl is sending iMessage to and select Remove This Email.
If she has your cell phone number, she can switch to sending iMessage to that and there will be nothing you can do, but removing the email address will prevent you from receiving an iMessage addressed to that email address. -
Why can't I turn iMessage off on iPad 4?
I have iMessage off on iPhone 4S because so many of my friends/contacts are not on iMessage. Most because they can't have it.
Now I bought an iPad 4. When I turn off iMessage , a sign in screen covers my messages screen. And I have to sign in if I want to send any messages at all. As soon as I sign on the screen of course goes away but then it has turned iMessage back on
My son has an iPad 3. He is able to turn off iMessage and has no problem.

Thank youI am probably being dense. But iMessage is off on iPhone so nothing is selected . On iPad I have 1 email address picked which is my regular email and the @me account checked off. Then it has my phone number shaded gray which I am assuming is because the iPad is not a phone. What am I missing, any ideas? Thank so much

All my contacts use iPhones but one doesn't use iMessage because it uses data. I want to use iMessage for other contacts but i have to turn off for just one contact. Can I turn iMessage off for just one contact?
You need to delete here conversation and start another one using her phone number and not her Apple ID. You cannot delete iMessage, you can disable it. If the Apple server still sees her iPod with iMessage on and using her Apple ID, then it will continue to appear to your phone that she has iMessage. She needs to take a look at this support document about permanently disabling iMessage for her account. Can’t receive text messages on a non-Apple phone

Every time i turn iMessage off it pops up to turn it on right away. I want to be able to send messages to non iPhone phones. How do I keep that iMessage off
OK. Now I am confused. Why are you going back into Messages of you do not want to use it. You cannot Message with non iOS devices which I assume you do realize. So just don't use Messages.
If you have a texting app that you want to use, that should have no bearing at all what you do with the Messages app. Am I missing something here? It sure wouldn't be the first time for me ..... -

Can you do setup an unread mail folder that shows all unread mail regardless of what folder it really is in on the iPhone mail program somehow?

i no longer own an iphone and need to turn imessage off but i no longer have the phone at all so i cant turn it off myself
If youv'e ever called them they should have it on file. If you haven't call your carrier first and tell them that you need imessage turned off but don't have the imei number for the old iphone and ask if they still have it. Once you get it you can call apple and give them that number or have your carrier just route you straight to them.

2630 keeps discharging after turning bluetooth off
On regular use (i.e. without using bluetooth), I can use my Nokia2630 for several days without recharging. Sometimes I use a bluetooth headset connected for about an hour and then disconnect the headset and turn bluetooth off. The bluetooth indicator disappears, but the battery keeps on discharging and is empty after less than 12 hours.
If I turn bluetooth off and turn the phone off and back on again, there is no problem.
Summarized, after turning bluetooth off, the phone keeps using a lot of battery power.
Is this a techical failure, firmware issue, ...
Suggestions pleas?I think might the bluetooth manager did not shutdown properly. and so judging from that, the battery depleted very fast but the battery indicator might not detect it as quick as it should. It happens all the time. Even my phone does.
