Saves save, but don't

So - hammering away at videos for a car review. I have all the assets neatly put in bins and had to export lots of templates from Final Cut 7 via XML and some of them came out fine, but a few needed tons of work. After that tons of work, I thought I was in the clear. As I dropped video in the time line, I lined up all the video and everything was looking great. Every time I went to edit one of the templates, it would open a sequence and I assume they are dynamically linked since each time I change that template/sequence, it changes the graphics in the timeline which is fine. I noticed that after updating some of the text in the templates, my ability to playback the video became slower and slower, then not at all. I save often, both manually and autosave which is set to every 10 minutes. I edited two (out of three videos), each neatly in there own sequence and once premiere stopped running, I had to force quit. When it came back, no videos in the timeline, just the graphic sequences and none of them were even left the way I had edited them…thus mild panic set in. I had about 17 auto saves and I checked each one and only one had my edited video in it and that was not even all that recent. So, I moved on and just worked on one video. I made a change to one of the templates and again, Premiere froze, but this time I saved in 3 different locations before this crash….NONE of the saves have the video, only a set of sequences that have the graphic templates. I am at my wits end, this is just crazy...any insight? [email protected]

Thanks. I messed up with my husbands iphone because I was told the wrong thing. Now everytime I sync his phone it makes it look just like the other phone I had. Do you know how I can fix taht for his phone? Any settings I can turn off that will prevent all of my apps/contacts, etc from auto populating his phone?

I know this is in trouble shooting but don't understand how to reset in fire fox 4, can't save tabs for next session?

OK and when I run desktop manager then what do I do? There are no instructions after this setup with my mobile carrier, they just leave me hanging. Also, is my phone going to be wiped or will it just update the OS? I don't want to lose all my settings that took me hours to setup on this thing and have to redo everything all over again. Backup? I don't understand how to do that either (again all of this is new to me). I don't have a second phone where I can call T-Mobile on the phone and have them walk me through it, I only have my cell that's it. They refuse to give me instructions unless I'm on another phone when I call them, why they won't let me write them down is beyond me...these carriers are getting mighty picky these days on customer service/technical support.

Background:
I am using Mountain Lion and Mail App and running out of space on my small primary SSD drive (where I keep OS, apps, key user preferences/data and mail for speed). The mail data is the big variable (many GBs) and I want to "archive"/move some of the old mail to my 2nd drive inside the Mac. But I still want it searchable inside spotlight and preferably even inside Mail too. And I'd like to be able to still drag and drop old mails into this archive folder.
What I've tried that seems to work:

1. Move the archive folder/mailbox to the 2nd drive/partition/folder (don't delete anything inside Mail App)
2. Create a symbolic link from its new location to the original/old location
This seems to work, it looks as "normal" and as if nothing happened inside Mail App but the folder now resides elsewhere and seems searchable etc. But I'm not sure that once caches refresh or over time with updates etc if stuff will break horribly or corrupt.

I'm having a similar but slightly different problem. My company just migrated to Gmail, and it's saving mail drafts every 30 seconds into my Trash folder.
I unchecked the "Show in IMAP" preference in the Gmail settings, but my Drafts folder completely disappeared. I went back and checked it and the folder reappeared (with my drafts still in there).
I like the idea if starting an email on my laptop and having the option of finishing it on my iPhone or iPad, so only saving Drafts locally would not be ideal.

Can't Save or use Done in ACR4 - PC

I have just edited twenty odd images which were opened in ACR4 via Bridge.
I choose Select All and then, whether I choose Save Images or Done, the entire bar at the end of the screen containing those icons (Save, Open Images etc..) and the editing controls all 'grey out' and won't complete the command. i.e. On Save, the dialog window doesn't open and on Done, the images don't close and return me to Bridge.
If I click anywhere in the Camera Raw window, the menu bar at the end of the screen returns to normal (i.e. not greyed out), but the problem remains. Even if I only select one image to Save/Done, I can't do anything with it.
This happened last night too and I had to use Ctrl/Alt/Delete in the end to get out of it.
I have been editing without a hitch for the last three hours though and this has just happened again.
Each time I have had 25 plus images opened in ACR.
Any ideas?

Choosing Ctrl/S (instead of Save) brings up the Save dialog window and I can save the images. So, why can't I click on the Save button to do the same thing? Thanks.

The Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts dialog is there (CC 2014)
I can suggest you reboot your Mac and see if that helps.
If not, try a Preferences Reset.
Hold down cmd-opt-shift and start Photoshop. When you see "Delete Photoshop Settings file", release the keys, click Yes, and let Photoshop finish loading.
Hopefully that fixes it.

I'll guess that you've used a page layout document & pasting created a text box. You can add more pages & create linked text boxes, but I think you'd be better of using a word processing document. In word processing documents there is a basic text layer & additional pages will be created as needed to fit the text. Take a look at the toolbar of your document. If it says "sections" for the +page icon it's a word processing document, if it says "pages" it's a page layout document.

In Preview I rotate an image and save it, but when not when uploaded?

What's the screwey deal with Preview?
I open the image, rotate it, save it...but when I upload it to the internet, it remains in its original position.
Whats going on there?

I can confirm this, but don't know why.
Jpeg's rotated with Preview don't display rotated when displayed in web browsers.
Jpeg's rotated with Preview do display up rotated when displayed with GraphicConverter
Jpeg's rotated with Graphic Converter show up rotated when displayed in web browsers.
For the short, quick fix, I'd suggest trying Graphic Converter... It usuall comes as part of the software package on your Mac.
Someone from the graphics world will be able to provide a better answer as to why, but I have no idea.

I want to save usernames but NOT passwords

I want to save usernames but NOT passwords (I am not comfortabel saving passwords onto my computer - defeats the object of having them in the first place!) but I would like to save time by having my usernames saved, so that when I start typing my username a drop down box appears with all the recent ones used so I can then click on mine. I had this in my windows XP and all other microsoft computers... just switched to Apple and a little frustrated!.
Can anyone help? All the help sites I have found so far just tell me to save the username AND the password....

What you ask is not possible. Provided you don't let anyone else use the computer while it's logged in to your account, and you have a reasonably strong login password, and you always lock the screen or log out when away from the machine, it's safe to store web passwords. They're encrypted with your login password.

Sounds like a permissions problem ie read only.
If running repair permissions from your DiskUtility.app does not sort it,

If you still have an issue you may have to see about using the iTunes version (application) included with Snow Leopard 10.6 from the installer or an another one if available online, and see if that will install.
Sometimes you may have uninstall the bits left in your system by the earlier (or later) iTunes installers; as they all leave a trace and these can stop a different version of iTunes from being installed.

Firefox will only remember a password if you click the Remember button on the sliding bar at the top that opens when Firefox detects a password.<br />
If you mean a check box on a web page to remember you then such a choice is stored in a cookie on your computer.

If the old ID is yours, and if it is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.
