Saving a distributed form from FormsCentral - cannot edit after saving

I created a form in FormsCentral and distributed it as a submitable pdf. I then opened it in Adobe Reader to test what end users would see, made some changes and went to File --> Save and then closed the pdf. When I reopened it I got the following error window and was no longer able to fill out the form. Am I doing something wrong?

I think I figured out the error window. I have a drop down selection that includes an "Other" option, when the drop down field is completed it removes the text box that is on the PDF for the "Other" option causing the document to be changed. I redistributed the form without "other" being included as an option on the drop down and it now saves perfectly fine. Any idea if "other" should work or is this one of the features that does not translate over (I did not see it listed).

Adobe Interactive Form PDF doubles in size after saving

Hi all,
We have a interactive form, and after generation it's about 925 kB (when saving).
Now, when you change a single field (add some input or something), and then saving, the file size almost doubles to 1778 kB.
Ofcourse, we would rather have a smaller PDF size.
Does anybody else have this problem and/or knows what causes this ?
I think it's a general problem, but still would be nice if I could explain what is causing it...

Here's one way I could think of doing it. Not sure if it's the most efficient. There may be some function modules out there....
You write a small program to print an Adobe form from the RFC.
Before you call Job open (CALL FUNCTION 'FP_JOB_OPEN'
), set the following parameters of
sfpoutputparams.
Set the outputparamaters to suppress the dialog
utputparams-nodialog = 'X'.
Set to print to a dummy printer
outputparams-dest = 'LP01'.
Set a spool request
outputparams-REQNEW = 'X'.
Then you can call a program like rstxpdft4 to download the PDF file.

Online Form Issue. Cannot edit the 'From' email.

Hello,
I use Business Catalyst CMS for my website and I have a Contact Us form on there.
The form send two notifications once submitted. First one is sent to the person who filled the form and the other one is sent to an employee within the company.
The problem I am having is that I am not able to edit the 'From' email address of the email which the employee receives.

How to download forms from FormsCentral

I cannot download, save to my hardrive, print, or distribute files via my email client forms created using FormsCentral (only option offered when "Create Form" selected from my desktop Acrobat XI Pro). Suggestions?

Thanks for the reply. I realize now that the forms I created were created locally (though I cannot find them on my computer or on the servers, only through the FormsCentral app). I understand that I should be able to go to File>Save as PDF and a dialog box should appear allowing me to (re)name and place a pdf. For some reason when I ry this, no dialog box appears. When I click Save as PDF, the dropdown File menu simply disappears. Bug in my program?

Preview deletes info when saving a pdf form from the IRS

This is driving me CRAZY. I have been working on my tax forms which have all been saved from the internet as a pdf through preview. When I go into the file to update numbers and try to save the file with the updated information, it won't let me. It will only let me do a "save as". If I do a "save as" and name the file the same as before (replaces original) or if I rename it, the pdf will save, but any data that I did not type in in the most recent session is deleted. So, when I open up my taxes and change a few numbers, the new numbers are saved, but all the rest of my data from before is deleted. It is making me want to scream. It does this repeatedly to different forms saved from the IRS' website and my local state's revenue website and on different days and with a shutdown in between. It isn't the websites, it is preview!
Oh, and just for info, sometimes preview will let me save the data I have updated and I don't lose anything, but then I can make a couple of more changes, go to save and the ability to "update" my current file with "save" isn't highlighted, only the "save as".
This is a brand new macbook pro, only a couple of months old. It has Preview version 5.0.3. I have done all updates that the computer has downloaded.
Any ideas anyone?

Saving Offline PDF form from Web-Dynpro with Dynamic File Name

We have a offline PDF form.... When we save the form, a default file name appears. We need to change this default name to some value that is already available in the form fields.
I have gone through some posts in the forum. However not able to figure out the solution.
Following are the details:

I am running Firefox 3.6.13 on MacOS X 10.6.6 and cannot edit bookmarks saved under folders on the bookmarks toolbar, by right clicking on them.

This problem concerns the bookmarks I have saved under folders that are visible in the Bookmarks Toolbar just under the URL window on Firefox. On my firefox browser in Windows XP I can expand one of these folders, right click on a bookmark underneath and I get the properties option which allows me to modify the Name or Location of the Bookmark. Unfortunately I cannot do the same on Firefox running on my Macbook Pro.

If it doesn't work with the Bookmarks toolbar then you can try to do it in the Library (Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks).

OBIEE direct DB request query sql statement cannot be edited after saved

I have created direct DB request with long complex query, validated sql and Results appears ok. After I save this request and go back to edit the SQL statement, the original statement is only partially visible. Basically I can not do edit.
Is there any Query related buffer or other configuration parms I have to set up?

I'm not sure what the deal is between Flex/AIR and Visusal Studios, but i descided to publish my webservices and point the wsdl there instead of using the visual studio generated one.

I't worked and worked much much faster than i was anticipating.
So i'll just chalk it up to poor communication between FLEX and VS. But if anybody knows a more complete answer I would still love to hear it.

Integrated into WD application means -> Interactive form generated in SFP transaction is used in abap webdynpro application.
Offline scenarion -> Since it is an interactive form, user will fill the form offline and submit it by email.From the webdyn pro appliaction user will download the form to the local desktop.Fills it offline and submits the form.
Now the interactive form generated directly from sfp tcode is working fine.I can fill the form,Sign it, save it and submit the form.
But the form downloaded from the WD application cannot be saved and is not allowing to dogitally sogn the form.
Its giving error The document could not be saved. there was a problem reading the document(26).

AirOS (from Ubiquiti) cannot open after entering password with firefox.

Firefox cannot enter the webbased application (AirOS) from ubiquiti networks. This application is used for controlling (control panel) the devices.
In the previous version of Firefox (4.x and below) it can open normally. But in version 5.0 and above it is only open the Login screen. Then after user enter the "User Name" and "Password" the application stack and cannot open the control panel.
I hope it can be fix ASAP. Thank you

PO item text does not display in form at first. Only after saving PO

We're facing a peculiar situation. We print line item texts of a PO in the smartform. However what we noticed was that as soon as the PO is created and we choose to print the po, the item texts do not appear. When we checked in tables STXH and STXL theese texts were not even registered in the tables. All this time the PO is saved.
Then we went back into the PO in ME22n, made a slight change somewhere and saved the PO. Now these texts appear in the tables STXH/STXL and also in the print out. What could the reason be?

You should check your PO customizing, probably the text is set to be loaded in modification only

You have some garbage in one of your entries in your lookup table or formula or something. I have seen this type of error when special characters such as & is being used. It's because it's a special character that browser look for.
Especially when somebody fat fingers && or ##.
I would query the tables and look hard for special characters..

PDF Forms + Illustrator CS4 (losing form functionality after saving in Illustrator CS4)

I have a form set up that I use to keep information about various projects. The form was created in Illustrator CS3 and Acrobat Pro 8. Previously, data could be entered on the form by another Acrobat user, then opened in Illustrator CS3 by the artist to add artwork to the document. While open in Illustrator, none of the information entered on the form would be visible (the form would appear blank), but after saving the document and opening it in again in Acrobat Pro, both the artwork from Illustrator would appear and the information in the form fields would still be present as well as editable.
Now I take the same form, I can fill out the data fields in Acrobat Pro 9, save, then add artwork in Illustrator CS4 and save it, all form data is lost and I'm not able to add anything to it in Acrobat Pro 9. (Illustrator seems to be breaking the form and wiping out any info that was previously entered onto the form).
Any ideas on how to get around this? I tried taking the original document and running it through the forms wizard to sort of re-make the form in Acrobat 9, but I still lose form functionality and information once I save it in Illustrator CS4.

Actually found a SOLUTION!
I guess in Adobe infinite wisdom and my lack of formal training in adobe acrobat
i was unaware of the TouchUp Object Tool (Tools>Advanced Editing>TouchUp Object Tool) it allows you to delete images and Place new images (although doesn't allow placement of .ai or .eps, just compressed images)
Can also nudge and remove other objects.

Disable "Distribute Form"

Relative newbie here, I have developed an interactive pdf form using LiveCycle Designer.
When the form is opened in Acrobat, there is a purple bar at the top that says:
"Please fill out the following form. If you are a form author, choose Distribute Form in the Forms menu to send it to your recipients"
This is a form which, when filled out, will have very confidential information in it and we would rather not have our inventors use this feature.
1. Is there a way to completely disable Distribute Form from the menu?
2. Alternatively, can I at least remove/hide this bar that directs them to go to the Forms/Distribute Form menu item?
3. Would also like to disable the "Clear Form" menu item.
4. On an unrelated note, when I use the app.menuExecItem("Save As");
is there a way to include a default file name for the Save As?

Sorry that this is late Brian.
But I may have found a way to do it.
In your orignal form, go to File, then Properties.
Once there, select the Inital View Tab. After that in the UserInterface Options section click "Hide window controls"
This will disable the "purple bar" completely. You will then need to re-save and re-open the file and voila.
