Saving a score part

somebody can help me with the following problem?: after saving a score part and closing and reopening it, everything get mixed up (though nothing is lost) and I will have to reorganize everything again. Luckily I always make a pdf but still it is a hazzle.

mate you probably need to make sure you are using instrument sets for each part. also that you are opening to the correct instrumnet set.
- use KC for create instrument set from selection to create an instrument set for just that part.
- set the size of it in the instrumnet set editor.
- do your layouting.
- layouting gets saved to the instrument set.
- make sure you open to the instrument set and not just "ALL INST"
bear in mind that printer resloution is much higher than screen resolution so while your markings might look a bit all of the place on screen, you can check where they really are by zooming in to quite high zoom levels. chances are they will be in the correct place. also, you should do fine layouting at those high zoom levels for the same reason. it might look right on screen at a low level but that doesn't mean to say that it will really be there.

hey all...newbie question...i unfortunately do not have a printer on the mac yet and need to get some sheet music to some musicians...as well i dont have internet yet either...can i save on a jumpdrive and print from a pc? what are my options? i just need to get the sheet music (score) screen printed...on the same note, how do save just the score screen on a jumpdrive?

about the email. Since you dont have an internet
connection, I am not sure how that would work.
Though if there is enough room on the jump
drive, which there should be, after you "print"
it to PDF (after selecting print there a dialog
where you can choose a pdf. Then just save to
somewhere logical.) The jump drive will act like
any other mac disc.Just plug it into a port and it
will show up on the desktop. Then just drag the
PDF file onto it and go. Hope this helps.

Saving notes or parts of emails / IM conversations

Hi.... I used to be able to make notes to myself or save relevant parts of emails or IM conversations to a file and now I can't do it anymore or find the previous saved items ? I think it used to be an icon within the media or applications tab but it it not longer there....help ??! x

Saving High Scores

Hi,
I have a written a small game as a Java applet. I would like to add the ability to store high scores in a database on my webserver. I was thinking of calling some PHP script which I have written which would handle the server side task of adding the score to the database. But I'm having difficulty calling the script and passing some basic parameters such as username, score from the applet. Can anyone please point me in the right direction. Some code examples would be great.

</applet>You can pass data like that, which you can easly set up with your database. That's how I manage saved games and scores on my games. If you pass "-1" for the username if the person hasn't signed in, you can use this code:

I can no longer download and save files. They are now saved with a ".part" suffix that I can not use or open. What happened, I used to do this all the time?

Downloads seem to be happening normally at first but the file shows up with a file extension of ".part" that I can not use or open. If I refresh the folder where it was downloaded to, it disappears as though it wasn't there at all.
I used to do this and it just yesterday started to give me problems. It doesn't seem to matter what file type I do this with as PDF, MP3 and EXE files have all shown this problem.

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.<br />
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

History is saving in restore part want this to be deleted

I have noticed that when I look into the history there is nothing there which is great but i have come across in the library a star and i discovered that since july it has restored all my history i do not want this and would like this to be deleted and click a option where this doesnt happen in the furture. please help me

You can check for problems with the <b>places.sqlite</b> database file in the Firefox profile folder that stores bookmarks and history.

Saved PDFs losing parts of image - HELP!

Over the past few months this has happened several times but never before that in the all the years I've been working in Illustrator. I will be working on something with multiple parts (for instance at work - a tent template with a logo and information to be printed on it.) I export it as a PDF and for some reason one of the logos or part of the information disappears. It's outlined and as far as I can tell the same as the parts that don't disappear. I have asked around and no one knows what the problem is. Please help!

Check for hidden elements ( command -Y ) and your "Attributes" dialog. Any transparency or raster effects involved? Cinfirm your raster res equals your intended output ( unlikely this has anything to do with the errors, but you might find something in discovery ). Not all PDF versions support transparency or layers, may be something to look into. Also, try to remember what changed when the PDF Export started to fail.

Emailing and saving a certain part of numbers

Im using numbers for a scheduling program ,I create a week at a time I save all of my schedule to i cloud .
My problem is that when i create the next week I can't seem to save just that week to email out to my employees .
can someone explain how I can do this I believe my weeks are tables,and i need to save just one table??

Yes, in Numbers you can have several tables on a sheet.
Click anywhere in a table to make it active. Then click on the top left to select the whole table.
In Numbers '09:
In Numbers 3:
Then Menu > Edit > Copy
Open a new document.
Delete any default tables.
Paste.
Save.
Email that document.

Saving high scores in LMS

Hi,
I'm using Captivate 7 on Desire 2 Learn (D2L). I would like to have students be able to take a quiz in Captivate multiple times and have the D2L maintain the highest of the attempts. Is this possible and, if so, is it a Captivate or a D2L setting? Any suggestions appriciated.

When you deploy on a LMS this is typically a functionality of that LMS. However not all LMS's, even though SCORM-compliant have the same bunch of features. So you'll have to check out with your LMS-gurus.

How to add Score and Timer in Adobe flash

Hi guys I am making a android game. I am new in actionscript programming and i can't find to get this right.

It should have coins for adding the score and a countdown timer for it's gaming time.
When the countdown timer goes to zero. The game stops then the stage will remove the game scene then a new layer will pop up with the total score in it.

There are many ways to do countdown timer. Here are two examples to countdown from 60 seconds to zero. Theoretically they should work the same, but practically not always. Since heavy processing can slow down frame rate and hence method #2 will not be accurate. Really depends on your need.
#1, using Timer class

As for your score part. It really depends on what exactly you're looking for. There are a lot of ways to do it, and for each way to do it there are even more methods to implement it. Maybe you can try to describe in more details of what you have in mind, so people can help you easier. Don't worry if one method doesn't work for you, since there are so many ways to do things in Flash with AS3. Good luck

Ascii characters in each indexed part of data. How can i fix it?

I am saving data in parts (indexed), and forming a unique array. But each indexed part that goes to file has some strange characters. I think it may be some extra information (dimension, precision, etc..). The problem is that i cant find a way out to save my data correctly. I attached a reduced example of my program and you just have to play and look the file to see these characters. Other thing is, when one part (indexed)of array is bigger then another, the small one is fulfill with zeros. Why? Thank you.

Apparently, you don't want to write an array of strings, but a single string. Simply build the string up as e.g. in the attached figure instead of indexing into an array. (I am not sure if you want the "end of line" between elements).

How can I choose the saving area ?

I have this code for saving the image, but the problem is that is saving the right part and I want him to save the left part.
