Saving a song including all sample files used in project

I wnat to take my Logic project over to a friend's studio. He has Logic but may not have all the samples that I am using in my project. Is there a way to same a project in a "self contained" form, that included allt he sounds that I used? I still want to maintain the midi tracks, instead of converting them to audio tracks. Is this possible?
Thanks

  • Include all JS files in the Descriptor?

    Hi there,
I am new to AIR & I am looking to port a large WebApp built in Html/Css/JS/Jquery, which has over 20 JS files, to a AIR desktop App.
Is there a way to include all JS files in the Descriptor file instead of naming each of them in the ADT command?
    Thanks

No. The files to include in the package aren't named in the descriptor. You can use just a folder name on the command line to include everything in that folder. You can also use the "." character to include everything in the "current" directory.

  • When backing up photo is it necessary to include all edited files or is th original dng sufficient?

when backing up photo is it necessary to include all edited files or is th original dng sufficient?

I don't keep a lot of edited copies of images. They aren't really necessary. I keep my master images (all raw files) and use them for browsing in Lightroom and for printing. Sometimes there are TIF files when I have gone to Photoshop to make further corrections. But other than that, I don't keep copies. I make copies for e-mail or to send to a lab, etc., but once they've been used I delete them. So backing up the master files and the catalog is really the most critical, in my opinion.

  • How to reformat all JSFF files in a project

I am working with a huge project, with multiple jsff files. All these JSFF files are formatted using JDeveloper default Reformat function. At the moment, I have created an external Java Application to read and modify all JSFF files under this project. My Java Application parses the source jsff files to corresponding DOM object and overwrite the original source file. However, when I write it back, the format is not JDeveloper default format anymore. It is standard XML format, not jsff format.
I use the following code to write the DOM to file:
         Transformer transformer = factory.newTransformer();
    transformer.transform(new DOMSource(element), new StreamResult(out));
What can I do to reformat the jsff files back to Jdevloper default reformat template, since this project has so many jsff files? I have tried to use Reformat the whole project, but it only reformat java files, not JSFF files. The only way to reformat a jsff file I know is open it in a windows, then go to Source --> Reformat.
    Thanks so much.
    Harry

    Hi Vinod,
Reformat from Application level can only reformat .java files, not .jsff file. And open Project Overview --> Web Pages --> reformat file by file is also an option, but it still requires quite a lot of manual work, since I cannot reformat multiple files at the same time. Is there anything else that I can do?

  • VerboseToZip failed, and does not include all required file.

    Hi,
I've been trying to use verboseToZip to produce smaller weblogic.jar file. This is because the application is going to be distributable via JWS.
I followed the step as provided in weblogic webpage. But I got some error message.
    1. "Unable to find class file named 'com.sun.corba.se.impl.orbutil.GetPropertyAction'."
I then found out that this class is located in
    C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_06\lib\rt.jar
So I included this JAR file in my classpath, and run verboseToZip again. Seems passing that error message now, but I got another one:
    2. "Unable to find class file named 'sun.reflect.GeneratedSerializationConstructorAccessor25'."
    This occurs with every "sun.reflect.GeneratedSerializationConstructorAccessorXX"
So I edited the classList file, and remove all occurence of "GeneratedSerializationConstructorAccessor"
By the way, the line in the classList file is:
    [Loaded sun.reflect.GeneratedSerializationConstructorAccessor25 from __JVM_DefineClass__]
I then ran verboseToZip again, and got another error:
    3. "Unable to find class file named 'sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor9'."
Same as before, I removed all occurrence of that line.
    [Loaded sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor9 from __JVM_DefineClass__]
Ran verboseToZip again.. yet another error
    4. "Unable to find class file named 'java.awt.$Proxy0'."
Did the same thing, ran verboseToZip again...and another error!!!! (this is an awful process for just producing the slim down version of weblogic.jar)
    5. "Unable to find class file named 'sun.reflect.GeneratedConstructorAccessor4'."
Again, same thing.. removed it, and run verboseToZip again. Finally... it ran without error. BUT.....
the generated file does not contain all the class I need..
for example, it does not have "weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory". Hence, all of this awful process is really a waste.
Has anyone ever experienced this before? I mean, it should be a straightforward process without the need to remove all those lines, right?
Thanks a lot for the helps!

  • How should we be going about creating and saving and/ or exporting our ODC files using Excel 2013 for use in Project Server 2013 Online?

Hi I need your guidance on how I should go about setting up my Excel 2013 reports so that others in our Project Online 2013 environment can access and updates these reports of mine.
    My questions are as follows:
I presume I need to create and save my ODC files in a PWA > Data Connections folder.  I have English and French users in our environment.  Do I need save them twice?  Once in the French and again in the English Data Connections folder?
     Likewise for the Excel file?
How should I go about creating my ODC files within Excel?  By default, the ODC files are being created on my PC's > My Documents > My Data Sources folder.  I presume I need to get them saved or exported to the PWA > Data Connections
folder. So, How should I be going about creating and saving and/ or exporting the ODC files???
FYI...My oData Feeds that I wish to use and join in this particular Excel file are as follows:

Thank you Guilaume.  May I ask you to help clarify a bit more for me?  If I have to do it for both languages (the reports and ODC files), do I simply copy the same ODC files from e.g., the English to French folder in PWA (Odc files)?  Or does
that defeat the purpose?  Or, do I need to create a new set of oData Feed Connection files with a French version of Excel 2013 and save them to the French Data Connections folder in PWA?  Do I need to have a French version of Excel 2013 to create
French ODC files and ultimately French based reports and/ or vice versa?
I did notice that the following oData metadata command from within a browser produces different results (ie., English versus French metadata returned) depending on who runs it (i.e., French or English user, etc).  As you can see I am a bit confused.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

  • Smart folder doesn't include all the files it should

I'm trying to set up a smart folder to show all .graffle (OmniGraffle) documents on my Mac modified within the last 7 days, but no matter what I do, there are many that don't show up.
Even if I just set up a simple query to show all .graffle files, it only shows me a few. There are whole directories it seems to overlook, but these directories aren't special in any way that I can think of. They just exist alongside the directories that ARE being indexed.
If I move the files into the other directory, they show up.
    Any ideas?

The simple query I'm working with is just to search "This Mac" for the string "graffle" appearing in the File Name
It just seems to be certain OmniGraffle files that don't show up, Lots of older graffle files do show up; these are all in a particular directory. The ones that I've attached to email messages show up (as being in my "mail" directory). It's just the ones I've created in the last 6 months or so - all for one particular project and located in the same directory - that don't show up.
Just now I did a test where I created 2 new files and saved them to different places. One in the problem directory and one in a different directory, and I couldn't duplicate the issue. I made a new smart folder, and both files showed up. This leads me to believe it's an issue with specific files, not a directory.
So I did a test where I opened one of the problem docs. I made one minor edit and closed the doc. Then I made a new smart folder, and it showed up.
Finally, I did a test where I opened up one of the problem docs and immediately closed it. Then I made a new smart folder, and it still did not show up.
Next, I'm going to compare the properties (get info) of a problem doc with one that shows up in the query.

  • Saving a sequence and all associated files or travel

I'm working on a project that has 60 separate sequences and would like to save just one of the sequences with all associated files and assets to an external pocket drive. My hope is to be able to leave the main media drive at my workplace (which contains all the project files and content-irreplaceable) and bring home one sequence at a time for evening work. Is there an easy way to do this through media manager???

You can use Media Manager to do this and only keep the files specific to that sequence but the drawback is you won't have the rest of the footage from your project should you need it.
What I normally do in this case is take everything.
Copy all the relevant Capture scratch folders as well as other project related elements (music, titles, graphics etc) to the "home drive" (good to have a backup of that "irreplaceable stuff anyway)
Open the project in question and save it as is, using a different name, to the "home drive", then, if you like, delete all the sequences you don't want and save again.
Take the new project home and when you open it the first time from the new drive, you will likely be asked to reconnect the media. Tell it to look for the footage on the new drive and when it locates it, select Connect all files in relative path, then reconnect.
Again, if you really only want clips specific to one sequence, look to Media Manager. I rarely use it so can't offer advise on how to do so.

  • LabWindows/CVI 2013 SP2 stops working when I try to open a file using the project file menu.

I have windows 7 on my system and sometime late last year I starrted getting a Windows dialog telling me that LabWindows/CVI has stopped working when I try to open a file from the project file menu.  I also get an error when I run a project debug mode and use a selectFilePopup in the code.  The error says, "The program has suspended execution at address 0x75D5025E.  No source line information is available."  I've tried removing and reinstalling CVI to no avail.  Any suggestions?

    Constantin,
Thank you for your response.  I've attached screnshots showing the version details for kernal32.dll and ntdll.dll.  I also looked at the updates to see which might have been installed when the problem started.  Unfortunately there are 15-20 updates every month.  I didn't take note of when the error started to occur.  At first it only affected my ability to open files from within the project (i.e. file->open->Source, etc).  Then I went back to modify a project that had a SelectFilePopup and found that that wouldn't work either.

  • Is there a way to find out ALL the files an FCP project uses?

Okay. Firstly, I'm an idiot. I don't know why, but at the START of the project, I didn't think I'd end up with so many little tiny bits and pieces... so I didn't really plan the organization of this thing. (My next project will be meticulously organized, I can assure you.)
But, here I am, and here's my problem.
I've got a pretty big project I've been working on for six months that's probably taking up 250 GB of space on my computer (spread over two 350 GB hard drives). It includes 125 GB of source footage, hundreds of little Motion projects (including various "drafts" of each one), PSD images, LiveType files, an assortment of Soundtrack Pro files, AIFFs, exported clips from all the various cuts of the project, etc etc etc. Stupidly, I always saved things in different folders, using a system and thought process that "seemed like a good idea at the time".
Problem is, now that I'm (nearly) finished with the thing, I need to archive the "final cut", and all it's many source files (such as Motion projects, which may need to be edited later if this project gets sold into foreign markets, etc).
Suddenly, I realize how important Organizational Skills really are.
But is there a way (simple or not-so-simple) to find out EVERY SINGLE FILE that's referenced on a timeline? (I have lots of stuff imported into the project that I know isn't used on any timeline, but I'm afraid of moving or deleting things for fear of never finding it again.)
I'd love to get some sort of "printout" (a list or something) of every single file.
The idea is, I would then move ONLY those files to a newly-organized filing system, which could be easily archived/backed-up. It would also be great to keep the RENDER files, too, so that I won't have to re-render everything when I pull it out of cold storage.
Am I dreaming an impossible dream?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    something) of every single file.
There is, go to browser and cntrl click on any one of the columns,
and select - show/source. A new column named "source" will pop up and will show where everything "lives". Click on the header at the top and it will justify the column as well. You'll notice this won't show anything for your seq.'s. of course, but will show stills/audio/motion files...
Once you have the new column, you can drag it next to the "name" column and get a grab of it and print it if you like, or whatever.
If you want to do this for just 1 seq., then can create a new bin and double click it to open it. Cntrl-A (select all) in your main seq. and just drag all into the new bin. You will see only what's in that seq. with the "source" column right next to it.
From what I've read, you seem to get the MM thing and it's obviously what you'll need to do to archive as the guys said. But what your missing is a file path system to where everything resides.
Hope this helps and that I've read you properly,

  • How can I get a digital WDT that includes all samples, not just the one for the current time step...?

See block labeled ''digital data'' in my attachment for reference. Currently, only the digital data point for the current time step can be seen (it is deleted before the next one appears). However, I would like it display all the samples in the table like in the example found at this link under ''Digital Waveform Control'':

    Hey westerman111,
If you're looking to produce have your display include the solution information from previous solver steps, you will need to buffer the previous data. The way to implement this in a Control Design & Simulation Loop is using the Memory.vi found under Control Design & Simulation > Simulation > Utilities > Memory.vi. It will allow you to save previous information generated in the simulation environment for letter solution steps.
I've attached an example that should get you started in using the Memory.vi.
I would also make sure that what you're looking to accomplish is suitable for the Control & Simulation Loop. I know you mentioned you were new to LabVIEW so I wanted to make sure you were heading off in the right direction. Is there a particular reason why you are using the Control & Simulation Loop instead of a standard While or For Loop? The Control Design & Simulation loop is unique in that it calculates the solution of a dynamic system at a prescribed time step and ODE solver. It also provides the tools to interact with the model you are solving during execution. However, if you are simply looking to perform data acquisition and measurements (instead of dynamic model simulation) I would recommend using standard LabVIEW functions.
Here are some useful references for getting start with both LabVIEW and the Control Design and Simulation Module.

  • Iphone TouchOSC template for Logic (includes all necessary files)

    Hi Ya'll,
I had been looking for TouchOSC templates for LogicPro for a while. Since I didn't find any that were useful to me I put one together myself. Now I want to share it with anyone who needs basic track control in Logic.
The zip file contains 3 files necessary to get the template to work:
    1. OSCulator file - necessary for routing and translating messages from TouchOSC to Logic. That file needs to be opened in OSCulatior.
    2. Logic Key Commands file - needs to be imported into Logic. It contains definitions of the functions contained in the TouchOSC template.
    3. TouchOSC template file - this file is the template itself and needs to be loaded into TouchOSC on iphone (i presume this will work on ipod touch as well but don't have one so I couldn't test it).
The zip file is located at:
    http://methodsunltd.com/touchOSC/Logic-BasicTouchControl.zip
Hope this becomes useful to all who wanted to control basic and what I think most useful controls in Logic.
    Cheers,

yeah, I love touchOSC as well, especially it's streamlined aesthetic! But just like you, I wish Apple developed Logic control surface apps for iphone and ipad. The moment they do I'm getting an ipad.
