Saving files on Adobe Organizer 10

I keep placing pictures in an album and modifying them.  I can view them as a slide show with the changes I've made.  I don't know how to save the album.  When I get out of Organizer and get back in, the album is empty.  Additionally, if I make changes to one album it affects pictures stored in another album.  If anyone can steer me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it!

Nothing fancy like svn. And we don't use Numbers or Pages, so although I don't have any examples of it happening, that doesn't mean it couldn't. I know those folders must have something to do with iWork's own versioning which is a feature that came out after OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard Server. People are used to opening and working off the server (rather than copying a file to the desktop, working on it and putting it back).

  • Looking for saved files in Adobe

Please help me to open Adobe on a specific directory on my computer when looking for saved files?

Actually, it's not written into the GUI for the app. That's just where Windows looks (to oversimplify a lot) if you don't tell it where to look. It's intended to be the default for all apps.

  • How can I edit a saved file in adobe reader?

I just want to delete a sentence and replace it with a new one.... Should I just start over in word? This is so confusing and frustrating!

you can use file/import but that would be a mistake.
you should "load" your swf, not import it.
if you want to load it and need help, are you using as2 or as3?

Adobe is a company, not a program... what program are you using, and what kind of file did you delete?
If Windows, have you checked your desktop recycle bin?

  • Deleting files in Adobe Reader 9

I'm a court reporting student and I need to send in my steno notes for homework assignments. My transcription program came with a "pdf995" printer driver that allows me to save my steno notes in .pdf format. From my transcription program, I got to print setup, select pdf995 printer, then go to print, select steno and Adobe Reader opens the document for me.
The problem I'm having is that I get a running document of ALL my work, for example, say pages 1-51, and my new assigment is only 14 pages long, I end up getting all the pages, 1-51.  I am never able to get a fresh new document with the 14 pages that I need and  I am unable to delete any of the previous steno notes or text from previous assignments.  So what I then have to do is, highlight only the pages (3-15) of steno that I wish to save and then copy/paste them into a word document for homework submission.
This is really time consuming, and just adds to my already time-demanding work of high-speed dictation practice.
Does anyone have a clue how to delete previously saved files in Adobe Reader 9?  If so, I'd be forever grateful.
If what I've said is a bit unclear, let me know and perhaps I can explain it better in a regular e-mail, with attachments.
    Thanks in advance.

    Dear Michael.
Thank you for your reply.  However, after much trial and error, I did find a way to delete the files needed in order to have a new page show up.
Sorry it took me so long to respond with a Thank You; you were not forgotten.
    Happy New Year to you!
    Big Hugs.

  • Problems opening files with adobe reader 11

I have just downloaded Adobe Reader 11 and now cannot open pdf files online (the computer freezes and I have to shut down explorer) or saved files either (adobe reader opens for about 5 seconds, then just shuts down).  I am operating on windows 7 and have all the current updates from windows.  Can anybody help please?

Can you open Adobe Reader by itself?  If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].
Another thing to try: use Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader
then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement.

  • Problems saving a file in Adobe Reader 11 after highlighting

    Hi,
Has anyone come across a problem where Adobe Reader 11 seems to have problems in saving certain files after highlighting some text?
One of our processes involves checking information and to do this we open up a saved PDF file in Adobe Reader 11 and highlight the relevant text to confirm the amounts have been checked, and then save the file.
This is all done in Adobe Reader - not the full version and not using any external helpers etc, and running under Windows 8 64 bit.
However one of our users is having problems with certain PDF files where, when she goes to save the file after highlighting, it comes up with an error saying that it can't save to this filename and requests that a new filename is entered. If we then save to a new file, and then save as to the original file it works.
So basically this user is having to save the PDF file twice after highlighting - which is annoying.
The strange thing is it appears to only be happening with PDFs created from certain applications on our system (payroll software and BACS processing software) whilst other PDFs work fine. Another user, also using Adobe Reader 11 and also using Windows 8 64 Bit, can open up the problem files, highlight text and save the changes without any problem at all, so it doesn't appear to be the files themselves.
I've tried uninstalling and re-installing Adobe Reader without any success.
    Can anyone suggest anything?
    Thanks

I'm getting something similar, but the message I get is "...pdf already exists. Do you want to replace it?"  I click 'Yes' and the document is replaced under its original file name.  This is using Reader 11.0.10.
Sorry - I should have been clearer.
She gets exactly that question, but when she clicks yes, then she gets 'The document could not be saved. Cannot save to this filename. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder.' At this point the name of the document as shown at the top of the screen has changed to a ???????.tmp filename.
Trying to save this document over the top of the original now works.
It looks like something is locking the original file and only releasing it after the attempted save, which then allows the original to be saved over.
    Also using 11.0.10

How to fix file when it says, "Cannot open file " ". Adobe Indesign does not support the file format, a plug-in that supports the file may be missing, or file may be open in another application." It worked one second, I saved and closed the file, then tried to reopen and now it won't work. I am using Adobe InDesign CS5. It is the only version on my comp. I have tried opening on another comp & copying the file – same error comes up. PLEASE HELP

First check the version of the document with Jongware's script "Identify.jsx" (ExtendScript/JavaScript).
    You can find it here:
    [Ann] Identify Your InDesign File
If it is CS 5.5 or above, you need someone to open it in the version the script says and export an IDML representation from that. Another way would be to install a 30days version of CS6 or above (CC) and do it yourself.
In regards of the script showing a result for InDesign files higher than CS6:
    CS7 = CC v9
    CS8 = CC v10 = CC-2014 or CC2014.1

  • I'm having trouble saving my file in adobe acrobat pro 9

I'm having trouble saving my file in adobe acrobat pro 9.  When I attempt to save I get message saying,"Bad File Handle".  There are several pictures on this file I'm trying to save...dont know if that has anything to do with the problem, just thought it would be helpful information.  Would really appreciate any insight anyone has to offer.
    Thanks in advance

I am having a similar problem with a simple pdf form.  I have made several changes to the pdf and when I go to save, I get the message that I can't save the file due to a "bad file handle."  I have opened, altered, saved, and closed the form several times before, just not now.  No one else was working on the form.  The file format is still a pdf and nothing has changed.

  • Opening files automatically in VBA and saving to PDF, Adobe Acrobat XI Pro

    Hello,
I have Adobe Acrobat XI Pro and I want to ask if there is any possibility to open automatically files in Adobe by VBA (Word files, Excel, etc.) and save them to PDF?  Or maybe it is a possibility to print them with Adobe PDF Printer?  If there is something like that can you give me a sample of code?
    Thank for your help.
    Best regards,
    Robert

    Thank you for your advices.
I already download Acrobat SDK before, but it's really complicated for someone who know only VBA at intermediate level.
I really plan to learn javascripts and COM in future, but I was thinking that if I ask you for I guess easy think (opening files and saving them to pdf) you will help by giving similar code or some clues.
Anyway I found  this two methods in documentation: PDDoc.Save and PDDoc.Open and I believe that a combination of them can finally help me. Do you know how I can connect them to one part?

What is your operating system?  Reader version?
Saved from where?  What is the file size of the saved document?

  • Can you still access Adobe PDF SAVED FILES WHEN YOU GET A NEW COMPUTER

Can you still access Adobe PDF SAVED FILES WHEN YOU GET A NEW COMPUTER ? Do you loose the files you have saved on you old computer when you get another computer?

I may not be clear on what you are asking here but I'll try an answer anyway since that's the type of guy I am.
If you have PDF files on your old computer, you will need to transfer them to your new computer. You can use a flash drive or CD if needed.
But again, I think I'm not getting what you are really wanting to know. If I'm not, can you give us some more details?

  • Can I change the location of adobe organizer file folders in Elements 11 from my c to d drive ?

Can I change the location of adobe organizer file folders in Elements 11 from my c to d drive ?
My laptop, which uses Windows 7, came with the hard drive divided between a C and D drive.  the C drive, where all the programs load, is nearly full, and I would like all the photos and videos that adobe elements organizer finds and that I download into load on my nearly empmty and spacious D drive.
In other programs I can change this is file prefernces, but I cant find that feature in elements.
Is it possible? and how can I do it?

SG will probably have more to say about his reply, but in the meanwhile you might want to check out Premiere Elements 11/Elements Organizer 11/File Menu/Catalog Manager... and the Custom Location option. I suspect that is what both of you have in mind?
When Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 11 are installed on the same computer, they share a common Elements Organizer (catalog) although they can be purchased as standalone products each with its own Elements Organizer (catalog).

  • Saving PDF files as Post Script files using Adobe Professional

I have a 2 Page  PDf document that mainly has Text on each page. Both the Pages have a 2D Data Matrix Barcode also.
I opened the PDF file in Adobe Professional and saved the file as Post Script file.
Post Script file gets saved successfully. When I open the Post script file - It has almost 40,000 line for a 2 page post scipt file.
It has lot of Hex data that looks so huge in the file. ( I thought only Images get converted to Hex format).
Is there a setting or something I am missing that I have this huge Post script file for a 2 page text file PDF

Your barcode may be a high resolution graphic. A lot of junk (hex) is what you would see in such a case with PS. How it looks to you may depend on what application you are using to view the PS file. If you open it in a code or text editor you might get a better idea of what is there. I don't look at PS files much and agree with graffiti's question of why do you want to?
