Saving form with content (end user)

I have created a form using AdobeLiveCycle Designer.
Everything seams to work when I tested it... However, When I send it for someone to fill out, she wanted to save a copy for her records with the data included. I was able to do a simple "save as" to achieve this. but she was not and received a message, stating "Data typed into this form will not be saved. Acrobat reader can only save a blank version of the form." then goes on to say "please print you completed form if you would like a copy for you records" "print form" button appears.
My question: Is there a way to format or save out the form so that someone with only reader can save a completed version of the form. How do I do this?

The form has to have special Extended Reader Rights enabled. There are many posts and pinned FAQs about this.

When I try to see my ESS content with an end user, it is giving me the following error:

Part of the stack trace also says,
Caused by: com.sapportals.portal.pcd.gl.PermissionControlException: Access denied (Object(s): portal_content/com.sap.pct/srvconfig/com.sap.pct.erp.srvconfig.ess.employee_self_service/com.sap.pct.erp.srvconfig.skills/com.sap.pct.erp.srvconfig.fpmapplications/com.sap.pct.erp.srvconfig.skillsapplication)
It is coming for all the applications in ESS.
I think it is a permission issue, so i gave the end user permission to the user in the PCD as well in the directory where all my ess contents have been kept.But still it doesn't work.
And only when I assign the end user with Admin right, it works which should not be the case.
Kindly suggest a possible solution for this.Your efforts will be appreciated.

Fields in fillable form truncated by end-user

My fillable .pdf is working fine here in our office. But, when I send it to an outside end-user, some of the fields are being truncated. One of the fields is a phone number field, that I have set-up with the 'phone number' format. It is not defaulting and auto-fitting by the end user. Another field is a simple 4 character limited field, with auto font fit (I hope I am using correct terminology here). With the end-user, they are inputting the info, but the font is staying large and not fitting in the field. The end-user is using Acrobat X, the same as I am.
Any clues?

Okay, George... Looks like your original thought about it being a Mac was correct. :-) Although, the end-user was not using the Mac... the person from our office that *sent* it to the end-use was using the Mac. Thus, it somehow 'corrupted' (not sure that is the correct verbiage) the file. So, when I sent the file to the end-user through my PC, it worked just fine... or so it seems. I have received back forms from two of my 'test' end-users and they say it works great! :-)

XML form SPS13 error saving form with user field

Hello gurus!
After upgrading to SPS13 all XML Forms with imput field type 'user' produce error when saving data: incorrect user id. But I select user id from user list! ID can't be incorrect.

I am using EP 60 SPS13 Patch 3, have you installed this patch ?
You have to create a sibling node, for instance "usuario", don't forget to define it as user (data detail).
Then you add a browse object in your form, and change action property as user.
Then you establish a relation between usuario and your browse object.

Saving forms with interactive fields.

I am using Adobe Reader XI. I am filling out a form with interactive fields and the purple bar at the top which states "data typed into this form can be saved". However, when I save the form and then reopen it, the form is blank. Is there anything I can do to save the completed form?

Worked for me (Yahoooo! Have been asking for this for over a decade)
Opened .pdf with form field in reader X1
Type in a few numbers into form field
Did a save as, save was greyed out.
Closed file, reopened in reader X1
Closed file, reopened in Acrobat Pro X, flashed without form field or purple bar, then 3 seconds later falshed again and purple bar and form contents appeared, seems to have to think about whether to show or not

Uccx integrate with cm end user

when i integrate the uccx server with cm first time,at the end of the step,uccx will import the end user in cm to add the uccx administrator.cm use ladp sync,it can import the user,but i forget the admin user is not in the ldap server,it is in the cm,so i disable the ldap at once,then i try to import the cm loacl user again,but it can not find any of the user in cm.how can i deal with this issue?

Creating custom form with content type list - Shaepoint 2013 list

Hi All,
I have a list with a content type. So basically i have the default content type and another custom one.
I would like to customize the forms and taught of using sharepoint designer.
Is this a good approach or is it better using infopath.
When i try using infopath i don't know how i can using content type to create forms.
I basically have 2 forms based on the content types how can i separate this when using custom forms and what would be the best practice?

According to your description, you want to create a form for each content type in a custom list with multiple content types. Is it right?
If we use Infopath to customize forms for a list with multiple content types, it only customizes the default content type, the forms for other content types don't have changes.
For your requirement, I suggest you use SharePoint Designer to create forms for content types.

   request component need to be initialized before using it. Include these lines before ur code.

Is it possible to send the contents of a form to a user specified e-mail address (that is different each time) and include the attachments that were uploaded using the File Upload button?

If you look at the email line of script, you will see that I am adding the CC variable at the END of the cURL string.

vCC is put at the end of the mailto string because it starts with an "&cc=", which is missing from my script above. (in my defense I was scripting on the side of the road, from memory )

Form display / format - end User

Over the past 7-10 days I have experienced problems with the display of completed forms in both Test mode and from URL. The form does not diisplay with the same format that is in the design view and consequently won't complete correctly.
This only happens within our business network and appears to be okay when accessed outside of the network. However, from an ongoing support and testing requirement, I need to be able to complete this from within our network. I have spoken to our IT support team and they have come back with the following options which I'm hoping you'll be able to provide assistance with
This is the finding about adobeformscentral.com run through our network.
I turn on web tracking and to see where the web traffic goes when ran adobeforms.
It appears that Adobefromscentral.com is hosted by 2-3 servers, to get to the form, it sometimes goes through 3-4 website before get to the form. In our work environment, when web traffic exceeds a certain number of hops, it can timeout and just display the page without the page is properly compiled.
These are the options that you have:
* Contact Adobe to find out the best practice to setup the form, so that it does not go through too many hops.
* Contact Adobe to find out the best practice to setup the proxy server

I've had the following feedback(in blue) from our IT department that may be of interest. I'm still unclear why the problem started happening, but it hasn't been occurring in the past 24 hours, but will continue to monitor.
Basically, when a user trying to reach a website, eg. Adobeformscentral.com, a domain name lookup is sent to local DNS server. If the website is an external website, in this case, local DNS server will then send the ip address of the roothints server to the user. Roothints servers are servers that resolve domain names in the root level. For example .com, .net, .au, etc.
I noticed that the list of roothints servers on our DNS servers were out of date, so I got a list of latest roothints servers from internet and updated them on our DNS servers. Since then, it resolved adobeformscentral.com and also dropbox.com.

List custom form with content type drop list

We're building retention polices for our documents we have 18 document type each has different retention period , when user enter document information we need to choose a document content type from dropdown list instead of choosing it from New Item
in ribbon menu, then complete other form fields and save, also ability to change the content type for document item, what is the best practice to complete this task.

When saving form with 'Save As', losing radio button value

I recently upgraded from Acrobat Pro 8.2 to Acrobat Pro 10. Now experiencing the following issue:
I have a PDF form, that is filled by an application. With Acrobat Pro 10, if I open the completed form, and then use 'File' > 'Save As' > 'PDF', then the radio button fields lose their value. Other fields retain their value, only the radio button fields become blank. If I use the 'Save' option, then the radio buttons do not lose their value.
Any help is appreciated!

Can you check on your page to see if you have "reset page" process - if so, you could probably remove it. Also check on your page branches so see if you are clearing the cache for the page. If your page item is not related to a table field, you can also change the "Source Used" setting for it to "Only when current value in session state is null".
When you submit a page, all page items should be stored in the session and would be available the next time the page is reloaded UNLESS you clear the cache for the page or the Source settings instruct Apex to retrieve the value from elsewhere - the above are the most likely causes, so check them first

New Forms with Content Types copies all form fields.

I'm using the "NEW" button to create a form based on a Content Type. I know how this worked in the past and I can attach to the right content type and everything.
My problem is that the form generated is wrong. It doesn't take the Content Type selected into account. Instead it just displays everything in the form.
Anyone else have this issue?

Acrobat Forms for iPad end user

I am creating a multipage selection document for a client. My client would like the form to work with Acrobat Reader on the iPad. I have several features that work on my computer but not on the iPad. I have a few buttons set up to perform actions that don't function.
1. The submit button doesn't appear at the top of the form (neither does the highlight fields button). I placed a secondary Submit Form button. The function of this is to submit completed form back to my client.
2. How do I make the text flelds show up once typed in? Right now, you can type in them but once you are finished, the text field seems empty when you click off of it?
Anyone have any ideas on fixing these issues?

The Adobe product is Mobile Reader and the Adobe product and all PDF reading processing apps are dependent upon the capabilities of the mobile device. Since the Apple mobile devices and the android mobile devices have limitations as to main and secondary storage space support applications like JavaScript and Flex/Flash might not or as is the fact is not available. Not only is the UI different but also the support for many interactive features are no longer available and developers need to test forms on each platform and app to see what works and does not work. Did I mention that not all apps provide JavaScript emulation? Well there are apps for which form calculations do not work or only partially work. So again you need to test.

I created several forms using Adobe FormsCentral for an event. Someone else is taking over that event this year. Is there a way that I can share/give the forms over to them to their Adobe account so they can edit the forms for this year so they will not have to start over from the beginning?
