Saving Keynotes not working.

I am getting an error message when I try to duplicate a file. "Unsaved Keynote Document.key" couldn't be moved because you don't have permission to access "Autosave information."
To view or change permissions, select the item in the Finder and choose File>Get Info.
I tried to do that, but the permissions look fine. They indicate I can read and write. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I found the fix, after finding your question. I had the same problem in all iWork apps.
There is more than one "Autosave Information" file on my system it turns out. I used spotlight and found one, that I had full permissions for so I was where you are. The one Spotlight found was at:
/Users/my user name/Library/Containers/com.apple.Preview/Data/Library
There's a higher level one that controls the required permissions. Here's how I found it:
Select Finder, with that active hold down the option key and select "Go" in the menu bar. Select "Library".
There I found an "Autosave Information" folder with a red minus sign badge indicating I did not have permissions for it. I secondary clicked it, selected "Get Info" and corrected the permissions.
It worked. Finally fixed a months long irksome issue.
Now that file shows in my spotlight search too. It is hidden to Spotlight if you lack permission for it.

Really appreciate your help with this. I am a bit of a novice here.. but.. After some more searching on this issue I notice your comments (cut/pasted below) with respect to this router and bridging mode. You mentioned that I should update my firmware on this router and that this would (if I am interpreting your reply correctly) facilitate my LAN to LAN connection and of course using this router simply as an access point and more to the point - having the use of the guest network. Microphone sound recording,saving,playing flv file is saved but not working

          While recording the flv is saved inside applications/stream/samples/audio.flv. But it is not working properly.

Try changing the fileName:String to a simpler string name like "myAudio"....then try playing it.....if it works doing that....then the issue is with you converting that date variable to a string.......and if thats the problem try converting the value with   .toString() seperately and adding

Saved Search Not working in WEB UI

When I am creating a saved search for opportunity and run it. The results are activities, not opportunity. But it is perfectly working for other saved search (like accounts, etc). Please help me in finding the reason behind this.

Thank you for the reply. There was misunderstanding in understanding the actual issue.
User faces the issue as follows:
"When they try to save a search for visit report, and run it later, they get the action items, not the visit report".
Please note visit report is kind of Activity. Also we havnt implement any badi for saved search. Even I doubt whether this is a standard functionality for activity/visit report, when saved search runs to display the action items.
Please help me on this.

Bug Report: "View PDF After Saving" Does Not Work When Saving as Photoshop PDF

The saved PDF file is not opening in Acrobat after saving a file as a Photoshop PDF. I noticed it happening a few times in earlier beta testing, but today it happened again.
I have Adobe Acrobat Pro 10.1.2 installed on MacPro with Lion OS 10.7.3. Photoshop public beta m415. System info can be provided if needed.
The file I was trying to save was about 8 MB. Once it failed to open after save, I tried varied PDF settings and save locations. Also tried several different files. All were saved properly as PDF files, but would not continue to open in Acrobat as previous versions have done. The files open properly when you click on the file names in saved location.

I'm happy I could help and feel a bit proud to have found a real bug. The simplest work around is just clicking on the file list once it's done...that's certainly not a problem.

Hyperlink to slides within Keynote not working on iPad!

I have created a KeyNote presentation, and work on it between my MacBook and my iPad (via iCloud). However, I cannot use hyperlinks to slides within the same presentation! They show as being linked when I go into the settings, and I have deleted and recreated them (on my iPad), using the hyperlink feature, and it just does not "take." I am able to hyperlink to web pages, oddly, but not slides within its own presentation. Help!

The link above takes you to the correct page. However I found you have to go to "presentation tools" not "advanced" under "tools". I was able to add a link to a specific slide (the link was there on my mac, but not on the iPad). It worked as it is supposed to. I also tested a link I had for a website and that link worked right away.

When i go to Business Role Mkt Manager or Mkt Pro and search Oppt and save them go back to the home screen and try to click on the search that i saved it does not do anything and this is specific only to Oppt and Quotation.All the other transactions are fine.Kindly advice.If there is a config for this or if this is standard SAP Functionality.

This would occur due to missing customizing in transaction CRMC_UI_NBLINKS.
Here select the corresponding navigation bar profile and observe the entries after choosing - Define Generic OP Mapping. Check the entries for action search, execute and compare with the other profiles which you mentioned are working. Maintaining the same should rectify the issue.

Satellite P30: Power Saving does not work properly

I have a Toshiba Satellite P30 (with Windows XP) and I'm having problems with my Power Saving mode. When I use it for games and other high power applications it gets really hot on the edge of the moitor and shuts down.
It is been doing this for the last month or so. Before that there was absolutelly no problem. I've checked the TPSTrace file and got this error message:
A Fatal error has occurred. This program will be terminated. code: 0x0 Location:MainFrm.cpp(1317)
I don not know what to do with it and how to solve the problem. Any ideas?

It is not easy to give you any precise diagnostic but in my opinion your notebook is not hot because of power saver. Satellite P30 is pretty old notebook and maybe you should clean up your notebook.
Have you done this before?
This error seems to be serious and what you can do is to remove preinstalled power saver and after restart try to install it again.
Just for info: power saver tool is very useful but definitely not so important and your system can work well without it. Because of that I presume hot notebook is because of dust inside. With more CPU and graphic card activity hardware will be hot and it must be cooled properly. If the cooling grill is not clean this can not happen. at the beginning notebook will be hot but one day it will probably switch off without any warning.
At first step try to clean your notebook and remove all dust under cooling grill.

SAFARI 6 WEBSITE SAVED PASSWORD NOT WORKING

after upgrading to Safari 6 a saved bookmarked website user name and password no longer works.
seems to be just for that site. went to preferences>passwords selected site but it won't 'remove'.
tried deleting and re-establishing the bookmarked site but no drop down to remember the user name and pw
appears. i see that others are having this problem. again, it seems that most of the sites are
acting as they did before the upgrade. i am using the last version of Lion before Mountain Lion
(which i can't install on my computer).

Background saving does not work in background when it is part of an action

I LOVE the new background saving function. I do agree with a nother post that it would be nice to have some kind of progress bar when in full screen mode though.
The other thing I noticed is that if you make an action that has a "Save" command in it, it will NOT do that in the background but rather in the way of previous versions, with the progress bar window pop-up.

Bex Saved views not working after changes in query

Hi Experts,
we have an issue in saved views(Bex reports.
Users execute the Bex reports and do drill downs according to their requirement and save it in their local machine.Whenever they want to do reporting they just open the saved report and do refresh which fetch the latest data from the backed system.
But as a developer we do the changes in queries(like adding extra rows or any other changes in queries without changing the row and column structure) and transport to production..
When user opens the old saved and do refresh(this will connect to SAP), it doesn't show the latest changes(extra row added in the query)
So user complains every time they have to open a fresh report and do drill downs according to the requirement.
We informed that its unavoidable, But Any idea to avoid this issue? please suggest?

Its not possible user has to execute the report freshly and have to save the views.
But there is an option if you save views in server i.e. what ever required formats that to be saved in the server whenever new changes comes then as a developer you just open that view and refresh and save it again.

Saved password not working with www

i saved password for example.com
when i open www.example.com firefox doesn't fill password.
Is there any way to work saved passwords with and without www for all domains?
i don't want to save every password two times (separately for www and without www)

Numbers, Pages & Keynote not working on iPad

After the recent update for all iWork apps none of them load now on my iPad 4. They all just show an empty screen in the theme of the app (see pic attached)
all iWork apps are working fine on my iPhone 6, just not on iPad. Anyone else with this problem? I have tried exiting , restarting, restarting iPad and deleting/reinstalling the apps all with no result.
also everything is updated.

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.

Update for keynote not working

I had the older version of this and did the update and it hasn't updated it and i don't know wat to do. And when i go onto icloud when i try to download a file off there it says i need the new version but i dont habve any downloads to do on the app store

I think I may have solved my own problem here. The music file was corrupt, I think, because when I eliminated it and/or added the music via a hidden iMovie file, the builds worked fine and the music continued to play from slide to slide.
Something must have happened during the iOS update yesterday.
Still have to test this on my Mac and then in iBooks Author so stay tuned - if it interests you. :).

Hyperlinks not working in PDf created from Keynote '08

When I produce a pdf from File > Print in Keynote '08, the hyperlinks do not work in the pdf. I have tried all the various pdf settings (even the ones that export hyperlinks) and no luck, the links are not working in the pdf. If I invoke the File > Export > PDf command in Keynote, the hyperlinks do work, but Export does not provide as much flexibility in PDF creation that File > Print does, thus my need to go to File > Print.
Any suggestion?

Are you sure that you really entered a link when you created an Hyperlink?
The described one is the one which is used by default by every iWork's components.
We must enter the true one by ourselves.
