  • How to create an identical local copy of a mail without attachments?

    Hi,
    I would like to save a copy of an IMAP-Message to my db without the attachments.
    As I cannot modify the original message, I tried to create a new MimeMessage with the constructor MimeMessage(MimeMessage source) and then remove the attachments - this works fine so far, but using this constructor only the body seems to get copied without subject, recipients or from-address.
    Can anybody give me a hint how to create an identical local copy of a Message-Object? I would rather like to do this without installing any local third party providers.
    Regards
    Karsten

    Sorry, found the problem - I did some things with the InputStream before I should not have - now the message gets saved without attachments and can be reopened.

  • Make local copy for any submit form data provided prior to send/submit

    Dear Sir/Madam,
    I am trying to achieve a behaviour of firefox 22 under Ubuntu 13.04 Linux that has to do with forms/submit.
    The result I want to achieve is to have a copy filed for each registration form, personal information provided like job application forms done on websites with multi step submit/apply button at the end.
    The copy "bill" I am after would simply be adding on a scroll the screenshot for the webpage(including scrolling areas) to a localcopy.
    The idea is to look for words like "register", "Address" "Job", "Application" on the page where a form/submit has been detected and simply compound save all displayed steps with data inserted by me.
    For me a lot of this makes sense since prior to for example sending mails or letters by post I file a local copy for my reference ect. This would be an electronic equivelent of it.Saving tremendous energy and time compared to manually saving each step and then looking for a way to name/organise and "collage" all the bits into one receit/bill/scroll.
    How can I modify or achieve this behaviour on Firefox 22 under Ubuntu?
    I have installed addons like InFormEnter, SessionManager iMacros Lastpass...
    an arrow/menu started similar to InFormEnter near a submit button as a method to confirm a loacl copy prior to sending would be ideal.

  • Is there a format for at PDF form that can be filled out, saved locally and edited continually afterwards?

    hello
    on the html-based form http://www.samtaleterapi.com/oversigter/psykoterapi.html there isnt the functionality i want
    it can only be filled out and printed
    what i want is a form that can be filled out, saved locally on people's own computers, and  and that the local copy can be edited and saved anew continually
    can PDF do this?
    can the end users edit and save the form with no other program than adobe reader?
    if so, is this a specific format of PDF?
    and if so, how do i create it?
    thanks
    rasmus

    You can indeed create a PDF form that can be opened, filled out and saved by users of Adobe Reader. It simply requires one of the later versions of Adobe Acrobat. It has a function to enable this ability in PDF's.
    The one down side is that there are usage limits (how many times form data can be collected) that you would want to familiarize yourself with in advance to be sure you don't violate the EULA. Exactly how thos limitations work are up to interpretation...

  • How do I prevent Acrobat from changing paths to linked files when a PDF is saved locally?

    Hi,
    I'm creating a PDF for internal company use. Each page will include a button to view a video; the videos themselves will be hosted on an internal network drive.
    When I create the button in InDesign, I create an Open File action, browse to the video I want to link to, and it creates (what appears to be) an absolute path to the file. When I export to PDF, the path still appears to be absolute in the button properties, and if I open the PDF directly from its network location, the video button opens the video and works properly.
    If the PDF is sent as an attachment or downloaded from the network and saved locally, however, the video links no longer work. The filepath in the button properties still appears to be absolute, but now points to a local folder ("C:\Users\...")
    I need users to be able to download and save the PDF locally, but I don't want to embed a dozen videos, for obvious reasons. How can I ensure, then, that the filepaths to the videos are truly absolute and will consistently point to the network location no matter where/how the PDF is saved?

    It is relative, but I don't want it to be. The problem is that I don't see any way in either Acrobat or InDesign to specify that it must be absolute.
    It sounds like if I were to keep my working file on a local drive and export from there, it would automatically create an absolute link to the network path, but another designer is also working on the project and needs to be able to access the file. I could also copy the entire working folder to a local drive before exporting each time, or manually update the links in Acrobat from a local copy of the PDF after each export... but these both seem like ridiculous extra steps that shouldn't be necessary.
    Is it really possible that neither program allows the user to control whether a link is relative or absolute? Should I post this in the InDesign forums, though the issue seems to be in Acrobat?

  • Does iCloud Save a Local Copy?

    Say I'm doing a keynote on my iMac and have it saved on iCloud. Will there be a local copy on my iMac too? (that will back up into TimeMachine for example)

    Yes.  You'll find the local copy of your Keynote documents by opening Finder, pressing Shift+Command+G, pasting ~/Library/Mobile Documents/com~apple~Keynote/Documents into the box and clicking Go.  If you ever need to restore them from Time Machine, navigate to this folder and go back in time until you see your missing documents.

  • Do I need to keep a local copy?

    All of my music is on a single external drive.
    Once itunes match upoads/match all of my music, do I need to keep the external drive connected to one of my computer?
    Can I store the external drive in my safe or even trow it out and keep everything on the cloud without any local storage?
    Thank You

    Thank you for your response. However I am still puzzled about having to keep a local copy. To be safe, this mean that I also have to keep a backup of my local copy as well.
    If you care about your data, yes you should. Redundant backup plans are what keeps data safe.

    ITune Match has a copy my entire song collection as both links to my songs known to the Apple Store and cloud copies of my songs it could not match. So effectively iTunes Match has my entire 10,000 song collection but I am still forced to keep a backup of my song collection in a safe or on another cloud service like Dropbox or I risk loosing it all when my local drive eventually fails!
    It's not a true copy. Think if it as a mirror. For example I purchased the recently remastered early Rush albums on CD. There was one album in each box in 24-bit, 96 kHz which I have ripped and then converted to AAC @ 256 Kbps for the highest quality AAC track I can get. Now, most of these tracks were matched to tracks in the iTunes Store (which is fine since I'm going to be listening to them on my iPhone), but they are not the same tracks that are in my iTunes library. If I had a disaster I would not be able to restore the tracks I spent to much time on, I'd have to settle for the tracks I can get from the iTunes Store. For me this is not an optimal solution, which is why I keep local backups.
    If none of this is important to you, or if your other personal data is not important to you, then by all means don't backup. The choice is yours. But if you do not backup you will eventually lose data.

  • How to backup/restore files stored in the local copy of my iDisk using time

    I have a MobileMe account and thus I am using the iDisk. I configured it to have a local copy. Thus I imagine that Time Machine is making an hourly backup of it.
    However, when I enter Time Machine to restore a file, I cannot open my iDisk (it goes to the current version, not the historical ones).
    This is particularly worrying for me, as all my important files (except images, movies and music)are stored on my iDisk such that I can access them from my multiple computers.

    From this PCWorld article:
    [Back up IDisk With Time Machine|http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/190738/backup_idisk_with_timemachine.html]
    This local copy is stored as a sparse image bundle, which you can find on your Snow Leopard Mac by moving to your user folder and then following this path: Library/FileSync/incomprehensibly-named-folder where incomprehensibly-named-folder bears a name made up of letters and numbers. Inside this folder is the file you're after--yourmobilemename_iDisk.sparsebundle.
    Unless you've configured Time Machine to exclude your user folder and its contents, this is where you'll point Time Machine to look for a backup. Note that when you travel back in time and restore this file, you'll be warned that there already exists a file with that name and offered a choice to keep the original, keep both, or replace the original. I'd suggest keeping both. Here's why.
    I'm going to assume that people would want access to their old iDisk because they've lost something from it between then and now. If you keep the original, you can't get to your old stuff. If you replace the current sparse image bundle with the old one, your iDisk and Mac are now out of sync and you won't have the files you added since the restore point until they're synced again. If you keep both, you have everything you need.
    Move the restored file to your Desktop, double-click it to mount it, and grab the content you want. Leave the original where it was, remove the (original) that now appears in its name, and your Mac and iDisk can go back to syncing where they last left off.

  • Accessing a form created in FormsCentral that is saved locally

    Accessing a form created in FormsCentral that is saved locally - how do I do this if the form was not created on this computer?

    I am assuming you are saying you used the FormsCentral Desktop application included with Adobe Acrobat Professional XI and created a "Local" form.  You will need to be able to ccess that computer to retrieve that form, when you are on the original PC you created the form on you can either move the form online when signed in so it is available anywhere, or you can export the Design File (FCDT, FormsCentral Design Template) which can then be imported into FormsCentral on any other computer, or can be converted to a PDF in Acrobat XI.  To export the design file open the form and from the Design tab click "File" - "Export Design File..."

  • Problems to avoiding local copy in the user's machine

    Hi All,
    I implemented the BadI DOCUMENT_FILES01~AFTER_START_APPL according to the wiki http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/PLM/Avoidinglocalcopyoforiginal for avoid local copy of original in the user's machine.
    This implementation only works for originals open through the ECL Viewer or MS Office Integration, avoiding local copy of originals in this cases.
    But the problem is that PDF files still being copy to temporary folder in the user's machine when I use ECL Viewer 6.0 with patch 5 implemented according to SAP note 1380587.
    If I implement the patch 5 for ECL Viewer 6.0 without the manually customizing in "Enviroment Variables" indicating in the solution section of the SAP note, then the PDF files are not copy to temporary folder in the user's machine.
    In test with ECL Viewer 5.1.2 and 5.1.3, this problem with PDF Files doesn't happen too.
    My system and customizing information:
    SAP GUI 710 PATCH 18
    ECL 6.0 with all patches installed 1 to 7 according to the SAP notes

    Hi Daniel,
    regarding the display or handling of PDF files I have to say that here the local copy is required by the Adobe Reader and therefore the system has to made a local copy to display the PDF files correctly. This happens also if you display PDF files with the ECL Viewer because also the viewer requires an instance of the Adobe Reader which again needs a local copy. So for displaying PDF files a local copy is mandatory.
    Best regards,

    In Illustrator, I have a saved artwork, then I'm saving a copy as PDF, as usual.
    After I keep the AI file open, making some modifications which I don't want to save, so I close the file and click "Don't Save".
    Even though I clicked that, the file's modification time is changing.
    (The modifications I made are not there, so it's not really saving but why the date is changing then?)
    Please find the cause of it! Thank you!

    All I can suggest is that you open that file on the MBA and save it as a new file, then see if you can open the new one on the iMac.

  • Cloudfront signed url works with "setup page", but not local copy

    I generated a signed url so I could do rtmp streaming through cloudfront from a S3 bucket.
    When I put this url as the "src" of the player found here: http://osmf.org/dev/2.0gm/setup.html, I can see my video, however, it doesn't work on my local copy of Strobe Media Player.
    I went and grabbed the latest available versions from source forge (2.0 of OSMF and 1.6 of SMP), compiled them, and tried to play the file, but it wouldn't work on my compiled copy.
    My player works fine with normal videos, only when using signed urls from cloudfromt do I get ths error
    It uses a signed url like this:
    rtmp://s161ki0ys7euuz.cloudfront.net/cfx/st/vid_cdntest001?Signature=RSS0PV4RCq6lsF7gKE202 sHJw0lxCE9zwJbISVuovaBnARQFCVZ2e6SSejHXN4uIT5uotDBT8iYZVvfUC3rq0A571CWVETsnlJ4jhEir1JE5w-p jC-cx~CjxkcVQSj8EC07zozoNCypiBggLy0w2Id8TUxTuX9KrIDlN~BImwBjN1cnuZMpms9dpfuw-MLFefHtTDwfZZ Yh00LSUAEqA0BwqhA6NECHbrkaXQjUM7r5TRSP3ZH5uFIWhUWLMH3WWYLyz5bQab3FQxZhI4BhdFPJm6Z0m6HVVnuz eMqibMWDGybtoepjkTUYJqeTaYQUpIHrp1-0-dDVhhCx7BxCOlA__&Key-Pair-Id=APKAJSRQXYNPUENHF6HQ&Exp ires=1387398525
    And it requires a flashvar "urlIncludesFMSApplicationInstance" to be set to true. The flashvar is set in my local copy of the player.
    I set "verbose" to true, and I get "Playback failed. Failed to play(stream ID: 1)"
    The AWS people were able to play the file on their debug player, so it isn't a problem with the video. It's just something about my copy of the player or the environment I'm on.

    I'm initlaizing the player using swfObject like this:
    $(document).ready(function(){

        function callPlayer(x){
        $("#PlayerHolder").html("<span id='PlayerDiv'></span>");
            var flashvars = {};
            flashvars.verbose=true;
            flashvars.src=x;
            var parameters = {};
            parameters.urlIncludesFMSApplicationInstance=true;
            var attributes = {};
            attributes.name="player";
            attributes.id="player";
            swfobject.embedSWF("StrobeMediaPlayback.swf?ID="+Math.random()*100,"PlayerDiv","470","320","11.2","scripts/expressInstall.swf", flashvars, parameters, attributes);

  • How do I update a licensed local copy of Lightroom 5.7?

    I shoot with a Leica, and Leica owners receive licensed local copies of Lightroom with the purchase of our camera bodies (lucky us? I'm sure the price is built in!)
    I gave the Photography Creative Cloud a try, but I don't have use for Photoshop and the CC version of Lightroom caused frustrating conflicts with the existing licensed copy on my Macbook Pro.
    When I attempt to update my local copy of Lightroom 5.7, I go to "Help" > "Check for updates..."
    A window appears titled "Lightroom Update Available" and it lists the new software's features. HDR Merge in particular looks like something I might like to try.
    When I click the "Download..." button, no download starts. Something really funny happens.
    My internet browser opens and navigates to the product sales page for Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC.
    How can I download the update to a local licensed copy without a subscription to the Creative Cloud?

    OK, wasn't entirely clear.  Adobe also posts updates on these pages:
    Adobe - Lightroom : For Macintosh
    Adobe - Lightroom : For Windows
