Saving MMS in the phone memory

Hi,
I have created an MMS through my J2ME application. Now instead of sending that MMS to someone, I want to save it in the Messages folder of the phone memory.
Any guesses, on how I can acheive this goal.
Any help is appreciated.
Regards,
Ashish

That option is offered for Nokia phones with internal mass storage, like the latest Symbian phones. It does not work with Nokia Series 40, only microSD allowed as storage.

In general, that is just online.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Navigate to Settings > General > Software Update and install any updates available.
Navigate to Settings > General > Reset > Erase all contents and settings on the device you want to restore.
When this completes and the Set-Up Assistant starts, choose "Restore from iCloud Backup" and enter your iCloud account and password. You will see the three most recent backups for each of the devices on which you enabled Backup. Choose which backup to restore from.

    Hello,
I too am a Nokia Lumia 720 user. I went to the 'Storage Check' section, and checked the breakup of the memory usage, which showed 808MB temp files stored. I clicked on 'Clear' and now it shows 727MB of temp files stored. I tried clicking on the clear button multiple number of time, but it just doesn't clear those files. It's stuck on 727MB. Kindly help me with this predicament. Thanks a lot.
Not all the files in "Other" storage are unnecessary/unneeded/temporary files. There may be system files, mail attachments, app specific files and if the Clear button cannot clear all of them, that means they are used in some way.
"Other" files are the files which cannot be classified as Music/Video/Photo/Document, but that doesn't mean they are unused files.
If your "Other"  usage increases dramatically, especially after installing a specific app, then it's time to worry. But in normal usage conditions, 1-1.5 GB is OK for "Other" storage

Saving contacts on our SIM card is in my view is a good idea because ..Copying contact list from your device to a Sim Card is a lengthy process and SIM contacts will ONLY contain one phone number per contact entry. Our BlackBerry  Address Book will have a different arrangement with one Contact Name and several fields of information (Cell phone, Work Phone, Home Phone, email address, etc.) if you want to do it that way than you had to do one by one , so the best option will be to sync with your BB Desktop Software ,Have a look at this article reaging backup , I'm sure it will help you a lot for any future courses How To Backup Your BlackBerry

  • Defrag the phone memory (not the memory card)

    Hello guys
Is there a way to defrag the phone memory of my N73ME as I do with the memory card? Because my phone got a lot slower the last days (after formatting the memory card actually)

You cant defrag phone memory. Your phone is slow because certain applications must be running in background. Close applications you dont need.

  • N81 8gb wheres all the phone memory?

I can't update nokia maps because the phone memory has only 6mb free; i have put nothing in the phone memory, I install everything in the card memory... is the update just not possible on this phone because temporary memory limitation!!?? or is there a way to get back some of the 18mb that are in use? maybe part of these 18mb are just temp stuff from my previous software installations?
Ive looked for stuff to delete using file manager but found nothing...

OK, first thing I did was upgrade maps to 2.0 beta...
    memory is now as:
    15MB in use
    9661kB free
    411B cal
    12kB contacts
    5kB messages
    0B for everything else...
I am guessing the memory might have been bloated by nokia maps before too... either when I first tried to install maps 2.0 or when I downloaded the Brazil map pack...
This is likelly beeing used by some temp files or something... nokia should release some sort of clean up app or something...
Formated again and restored my backup... almost everything is back into its place, just had to move some items that were in folders back into folders (menu folder structure wasnt restored)...
    17MB free memory...
Well... maps 2.0 is way better than 1.0, except for 1 thing... it doesnt tell me the way to anywhere unless I have GPS enabled... I cant set a FROM point manually; so for me, since I dont yet have the GPS module, its best I keep maps 1.0 anyway =/
Thanks yet again for all your help!

  • What can I delete from the phone memory?

I have virtually nothing installed on c: (the phone) except for the nokia diagnostic thing.
But I have less then 800k free memory left.
When I didi the last system update I had 25mb free and since then I have applied a Ovi Maps, Contact and Music update all done through the phones SW update thing.
I have a couple of file explore apps installed so I can go anywhere on the phone memory and I was just wondering if there is anything I can safely delete.
I have a 5230 and I have done the usual of getting rid of the data inside the browser.

The only thing I have not done is delete some of the preinstalled apps and reinstall them using Ovi store to get them onto my memory card.
Looking at the list of apps this might get me a couple of MB back but what then?
The next SW update will just use it up again.
What I am looking for is the directory where the phone puts stuff so it can be reinstalled without downloading it again, that sort of thing, I can delete stuff and if I do need to reinstall well OK I need to redownload first but not a problem.

  • Saving video received by MMS to the phone/sky

I know there is a thread already on this matter, however it seems to be very "dead", so for what it is worth:
On my Nokia Lumia 920 Setup there is a backup selection that gives me the choice to select uploading to the SkyDrive for both pictures and videos. Now, it seems like pictures are being uploaded and also saved to the phone.
However, where are the videos? Is the uploading of videos only valid for those you make with the phone and not the ones you receive in a MMS? I am not able to save any video which I receive in a MMS on my phone, neither to the SkyDrive. Is there anyone form Nokia who can clarify this so no more time is being vasted on this matter??
If it is a Windows-problem I assume this is not the correct forum, however someone in this forum must be able to let us know so we can leave the subject behind.
I know about Whatsapp. However, there are no reason that I should have to install an app to be able to save received videos to my phone/SkyDrive (not even sure if this App would work either).
    Appreciate an answer to this.

Well, thank you for answering. It is the most common answer in this forum and I should like to know what kind of comment Nokia has to give on this matter. Other products, like Samsung Galaxy S3 can do this without any problem.
This is an OS restriction, therefore you need to point that question to Microsoft - for example HERE. It is one of the OS parameters which makes WP8 the most secure mobile OS currently available - unlike the handset in your example, which can be hacked remotely by any literate teenager.

  • How  do you get your videos on the phone memory to your computer??

I can't get my videos stored in my phone memory to my computer or sd card. I got a replacement phone, but I'm trying to get the videos off my old phone. I called tech support, but they were no help. Can anyone  help me?

You should be able to plug in the phone to your pc via a usb cord and select to use it as a disk (you select this on the phone, not the pc). You can then view the phone's directory just like an external hard drive from Windows explorer. Then find the folder in the phone's directory and copy and paste the folder or the video files in the folder to the hard drive on the pc.

  • Re setting/Formating the phone memory for nokia N9...

Can aybody please tell me how i can completely remove all the contents from my phone memory of nokia n97?
Is there any way complete hard reset of phone memory?

in order to remove the content from mass memory - e drive you will need to reformat that drive and for the rest you can use the *#7370# code and the default security is always 12345 unless you change it.

I am having similar problem. I am playing an Mp3 from my code , works on Motorola i860 emulator. But when I download the application on real phone and try to play the file it does not work.
I checked voulme of phone and everything I could think of. The application does not even freeze. It just wont play the file.
The mp3 resides in the same directory as other java files. I guess on the real phone it is not finding the file.
If you come across any solution, please post it here.
    Thanks.
