Saving music on an ipod that previous owner dowloaded from their itunes account
I was given an Ipod Nano 2nd generation as a gift several years ago. There are 181 songs on the ipod all of which were downloaded from someone elses itunes account. I don't know itunes Id or password & I don't have an itunes accounts. How can i back up the songs & reset my ipod without losing all the songs?
Yes. See:

If photos were synced to the iPod then you need a third-party program like TouchCopy or PhoneView.

I have some music on my ipod that I want to put in iTunes so I can listen it it on my iPad. The two devices share an Apple ID and iTunes account. So I do I get the music from the ipod to the iTunes account?
This is all just a partial answer since details will depend upon how you want to do it.

Commercial software utility for transferring songs from i-device to Mac - http://www.fadingred.com/senuti/
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - just media purchased from iTunes Store
You'll need to get it all onto one iTunes collection on your Mac Pro, then sync the devices to that. iTunes only lets you transfer purchases from a device, otherwise you have to use third party software.
I guess you could also look into getting iTunes Match. -

How do i get my music off my ipod touch and on to my new itune account with out losing my music
how do i get my music off my ipod touch and on to my new itune account with out losing my music
Transfer the iTunes folder from your old computer to your new computer. It's in your My Music >> iTunes folder. You'll probably need an external hard drive to do this. Make sure you upgrade the old and the new computers to the latest iTunes before transferring your music to the new machines.

HT1420 Can I add music to my iPod that woz not bought from iTunes?
Can I add music to my iPod that woz not bought on iTunes?
Yes. Import it into the iTunes library, convert it if needed, and sync the iPod with that iTunes library.
iTunes will not import or convert protected WMA or WMV content.

I have a new mac, have downloaded my itunes on to it pluged in my devices and half the music on my Ipod has not transfered. How can i get it into my itune library ?
Plug in your device and wait for it to show up in iTunes. After it does click on it, then go to "Music." Shift+click to select the desired audio files, and manually drag them up to the "music" folder at the top left within iTunes. If that doesn't work we can try something else.

I have an ipod classic 120 gb. I had it set up so that I manually sync and manage my music. Twice I have had my ipod plugged into my mac and it had erased everything on my ipod. All the music on my itunes was still in my library, but all the other music was lost. I understand that I need to go back to the other libraries I got that music from, but how do I make sure that my ipod doesn't keep syncing and erasing itself? Also, now every five minutes a message will pop up on my itunes saying that it cannot sync because of an unknown error and then it has the number 13014. I have no idea what that is about. Does anyone else go through this? How do I fix it?
Well the iPod is supposed to be synced from YOUR iTunes music library, if you used other means to put music on there then the iPod is going to sync to only what's on your itunes music library when you connect it.
You need to put the files into itunes.
Far as your other issues, sounds like the drive is dying.

I have a lot of music on my ipod from CD's I own. I want this music on my new iphone 4s. Because music was not purchased via itunes, it will not allow me to transfer the music. Is there a way around this?
You can transfer music imported from cd's to your iphone. This has never been a restriction.
You are having a problem in your individual case.
Have you tried basics fro the manual? restart, reset, restore. -

Need help Changing the previous owners settings for the app store. I can't buy any apps. Because it asks for previous owners information.
I had this same problem, and it was erased.
For some really odd reason iPads sometimes retain the last user iTunes account on first visit to the iTunes store.
I am thinking it is actually the iTunes store recognising the iPad, and so 'helping' by showing the last log in settings.
So I would also recommend Erase All Content and Settings to start.
If that was done then what you need to do is log in, or create your own itunes account.
This is in Settings, Store.
create your own iTunes account (or log in with an old one).
Purchase something.
Then (as long as you don't have any app from the last owner on) it should never ask for the old account again. -
My father has thousands of tracks in ipod nano uploaded from his desktop computer itunes, but he wants several tracks from my macbook pro laptop itunes. Is there a way to get my tracks into his nano without deleting the thousands of tracks. It seems ridiculous to delete all the tracks just to get a few more. By the way, he does not have a desktop computer anymore, and the only way to get tracks is from my laptop. Also some of the tracks in his nano, he does not own the CDs anymore that is why he does not want to automatically delete his thousands of tracks in his nano. When he had his desktop, he had his own itunes account, and i have my own itunes tracks. We want to share music although we have our own account. Please help. Thank you Apple.
No. If you have different iPod using a different iTunes acct. you have no choice but to delete the songs and upload your. itunes won't let you transfer songs from different iTunes acct.

How can I delete previously approved devices from my itunes account?
I know that I have a number of devices connected to my iTunes account and want to know how I can delete one - I no longer want to share my account with one or 2 other devices.
The allowed devices are managed from the iTunes store Account page:

We had to swap my sons ipod touch for a new one due to it being broken. I need to know how to reload the previous purchased items back onto the new one.
ThanksThey should be on the computer. Just sync them as you did the last ipod.
If you failed to put them on the computer then redownload them using the instruction in the article your reference above. -
