  • Script to determine if an image has a photoshop work path or saved path

    Hi all
Has anybody written a script or can point me in the direction of a script that will look at an image, and either tag/highlight or move that image if it has a Photoshop path (a work or saved path) and on multiple image types (.eps, .jpg)
I'm sure this topic has been discussed, as I have seen a few posts, but I can't find a resolute answer. I have seen & tried to run a few scripts with little success (one was through Bridge)
For us non-scripters out there, If I copy lines of code from this forum-I'm not even sure how to correctly save it.
thanks in advance for any help.

There is a script on ps-scripts.com that should get you work paths

    David,
Have you put in a support ticket for this? I recommend doing so since its occurring in your production environment. You should also attach your log files as well.

  • Is there a substitute tool path for "Image Adjustments Variations-" in Photoshop CS6 Standard Addition?

Is there a substitute tool path for "Image>Adjustments>Variations…" in Photoshop CS6 Standard Addition that brings similar results?  I was used to using Image>Adjustments>Variations… in Photoshop CS4 Standard Standard Addition quite often. I upgraded to Photoshop CS6 Standard Addition to get the 64bit memory architecture compatibility on my Macbook Pro, booted in Mountain Lion.  I see now that Photoshop CS6 Standard Addition has the "Image>Adjustments>Variations…" tool path removed.
I don't have Photoshop CS6 Extended, which has the all new Image>Adjustments>Variations… tool path.  I only have Photoshop CS6 Standard Addition so, if anyone can share with me a substitute tool set that can give me similar results to using the old "Image>Adjustments>Variations…,"  I would appreciate it.

    Thanks, R_Kelly.
You helped me to start exploring other tools in the Image>Adjustments Menu.  "Image>Adjustments>Color Balance…" seemed to help me get the results that "Image>Adjustments>Variations…" used to deliver.  "Image>Adjustments>Photo Filter>Warming Filter (85)" also got me to where I wanted to be in desired adjustments.  I used to get the results I wanted in brightness, contrast, mid-tone adjustment, and color balance buy using just Curves, Variations, and Hue/Saturation.  Now I'll use "Color Balance…" and "Photo Filter>Warming Filter (85)" along with Curves, and Hue/Saturation.  I also have learned to use "Levels" some more to get the same effect as Adjustments>Variations…"  I always thought there were more technically precise adjustment tools to get the same effect as "Image>Adjustments>Variations…"  Adobe dropping Variations in Photoshop CS6 Mac version forced me to learn better image adjustment approaches for pre press color correction and image warming.  I feel confident now to make Photoshop CS6 my prime-time work tool and move the Photoshop CS4 launch icon off of my Mac OS app Dock.  Thanks again, R_Kelly.

  • Producing a line graph of int values and saving as an image

    Hi,
I wonder if anyone could help me with this. I have 2 arrays of integer values that I would like to plot as a line graph (e.g. X[ ] and Y [ ]) and then have this line graph saved as an image (the format isn't too important but PNG would be preferred).
Could somone point me in the right direction of an easy way to do this?
    Thanks,
    Pete

Have a look at the following classes :
    java.awt.Graphics (drawLine method)
    java.awt.Image
    java.awt.BufferedImage
    javax.imageio.ImageIO (jdk 1.4+)

  • Saving as Disc Image hangs/freezes and must force quit to exit

    Hi,
I've always been able to Save as Disc Image in order to make multiple copies. Now, it runs fine all the way until it gets to "Burn - Current Operation: Writing" where it freezes indefinitely. The beachball turns so I eventually have to force-quit.
I have tried going to the .plist file as suggested in this forum, restarting my computer, but it doesn't work. The film is 25 minutes long, so I've also tried both Best Quality and Best Performance, with encoding checked and without encoding checked.
I have also completely re-created the project from scratch after removing the .plist file, but it still hangs each time after "Processing Movies" is finished and right when "Burn" begins.
This does not happen when I burn the iDVD project directly to an inserted disc. Only when saving as disc image.
This never happened before... any suggestions out there?
    Thank you,
    Lisette

FYI, After you asked me how much free space my hard drive had, I freed up some space and had about 38 gb left and tried to burn disc as image again. This time it worked!
So I think you were on to something there, and that must have been the problem - not enough space on my hard drive.
    Thank you!!

  • Move Samples without loosing saving path?

i want to move ore rename Samples ore whole samplelibrarys. But i don't know how to do this without get a mess with all the logic projekts and exs24 sampler. So i guess the other projekts that are using this renamed ore moved samples, are not going to find them.
In Logic 7 there was the Projekt-Manager for cases like this, but now in logic8 i have no idea how to manage this.
So does anybody know how to move/rename files without going to loose all the saving-path informations?

    Hi mr.,
I don't know why how and what you want to move and/or rename, but in the case of moving you can always place an alias of the moved Library in its' original folder. Another way to be sure is to include/copy all assets to your project folders, see p. 149 of the LP8 User Manual.
In the case of renaming you could again use aliases with the original name.
But if you could be more detailed on what you want to move and rename, I can be more specific and maybe give you a step-by-step.
    regards, Erik.

  • Relative path to Images ?

I recently migrated from Win XP to a new PC Win 8. Moved all the files & D.W. related apps... all went relatively seamless. But I noticed the Relative path to any Image that created in Photoshop still has the old path
    i.e.
    Original (old) file:///C|/Documents and Settings/My Documents/PMF Web Design stuff/Menu_Button_Home_2013.psd
    New file:///C|/Documents/PMF Web Design stuff/Menu_Button_Home_2013.psd
Is there a file in my D.W. site that has these paths ???If so I could do a global update ...  I have dozens of these type entries... would hate to do all 1 by one.
    THANKS in advance

Guess I did Not explain my dilemma correctly.  My site worked fine after I migrated to the new PC... all the SOURCE Images were in my root folder... What I could not find (up until now) was where the ORIGINAL .PSD files were referenced. D.W. keep sync information with Photoshop, if/when the Original gets updated... D.W. notifys you. Please see scrnshot GREEN arrow below.
After several hours of P.D. I figured it out for future reference.... the ORIGINAL file is referenced in a sub-folder of your Image Folder... called _NOTES each & every image has an associated .JPG.MNO file.
Simple example Home_Button.JPG resides in Image folder... Home_Button.JPG.MNO resides in _notes.
Down near the bottom of Home_Button.JPG.MNO is a record that points to the ORIGINAL Parent file.
    Looks something like:    <infoitem key="FilePathSrc" value="file:///C|/Users/Documents/PMF_Design_PSD/Home_Button.psd" />
I had hundreds of these that need updating... I used the D.W. Find & Replace feature... took a few tries to get all the options set correctly. But it saved me several hours.
Hope this helps someone in the future migrate to/from PC's,

  • At open, illustrator puts clipping path on images and slices it up HELP!

I am still using CS2, but this same problem has happened when I open a legacy (older version) file in CS4.....   When I open a file, it all of a sudden has a clipping path around the image.  Also, it is slicing up some images randomly.  It is very strang and I can't explain it.  I just saved and closed the file yesterday and today I go to open it on the same computer and all the photos have these clipping masks around them and some are sliced into multiple pieces.  Can anyone help with this???

It's easily explained: It is opening the data as if it were an EPS or PDF, so the fault is probably with the options you chose when you saved the files in
CS2. Check them. also of course keep in mind that some specific features have notably changed, so it may do thius simply to retain appearance, which you can influence by setting teh respective prefs....

  • Saving and referencing images

Okay, I can get the charting component to set a directory where it will place the image.
    1) What path should I tell it to write the image to?
    2) How do I reference that image with a URL?
I hope that makes it easier for y'all to understand and, hopefully, answer. Thanks! --Shibli

    Hi Shibli,
    I think you misunderstood.
You should read the <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/dotnet/pdk%20for%20.net/developer's%20Guide%20PDK%202.0%20for%20.NET/How%20to/ThirdPartyChartControl.htm">how-to</a> more carefully.
The how-to relies on the fact that a server can return to a client not just html, but also stream files. In order to do that, it changes the mime type and sends the file as a stream.
So what we do is write a portal component that is called actually TWICE. once for the html, and once AGAIN for the image!
first we set the source of an image control to itself (plus a query param).
    like this:
    Image1.Source = this.iViewPath + "?Chart=Pie";
This will eventually render like this: <IMG SRC="sameiView?Chart=Pie">
when the browser will receive this, it will call the same component AGAIN, only this time in the page load we will intercept the query and not render the regular html but return the actual image as a stream! (see how-to for the code)
Now you still have the question of how to write this code that will stream the image to the client. This is done by either "saving" the bitmap from the chart control directly to the output stream (like in the how-to), or if the chart control can't provide a real bitmap, and can only save a image somewhere (which is very strange by the way), then we will ask the chart to save the image somewhere first and then we will read it from there again to a bitmap, and then "save" it again, this time to the output stream. In both cases we need to change the mime type to "image" (as in the how-to).
Hope that clears up the confusion,
    Ofer

  • Relative path for images in RTF templates

    Hi everybody!
    When I insert an image in a RTF template, I put its path into the web dialog, in order to see correctly the picture when I open the report from the xmlp server, in this way: url:{"http://servername/analytics/res/Images/image.bmp"}
How can I make this path relative, in order to see the images even if the server name changes?
    Thanks so!
    Francesco

    Hi Tim,
I am using BIP 10.1.3.3.2. I am able to access system variable CURRENT_SERVER URL.
    Steps:
    <?param@begin:CURRENT_SERVER_URL?>
    <xsl:value-of select="$ CURRENT_SERVER_URL"/>
CURRENT_SERVER_URL is getting printed in BI Publisher. Value displayed is http://xx4697.xxx.co.in:9704/xmlpserver.
Now we are importing xsl into RTF template. File aaa.xsl is stored at [BIP_Installation_Directory\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\default-web-app]
We have hardcoded the path for XSL in RTF. The path is <?import: http://xx4697.xxx.co.in:9704/aaa.xsl?>
As we want to set dynamic path we changed hardcoded xsl path to <?import: {$CURRENT_SERVER_URL}/../aaa.xsl?> but it is not working. Sometimes BIP is taking local path of MyDocuments folder and sometimes Desktop path. If I put that XSL file in MyDocuments folder or Desktop, it is working fine. But ideally it should refer [BIP_Installation_Directory\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\default-web-app] path...
    Thanks,
    Amit D

  • Defining virtual path for images to be visible without specifiying path(AS)

    Hi,
I am running a report (Version 10g) which have an image (Read from file = yes) item with source "Function column" that returns an image name. Ex. "11.gif"
I am recieving an error that the applications server cannot find the image "11.gif"
Image 11.gif is stored in a directory on the Applications server "D:\photos".
Where should I add the directory path "D:\photos" so that the reports will view the image?
    Thanks

No need to define a virtual path similar to what's done in forms 10g. An entry in the registry key 'REPORTS_PATH' is enough!

  • Full path for images automatically?

    Hi -
We do HTML for emails (i.e. - viewed in an inbox NOT a
browser, per se) so every document I create needs to have the full
    URL path. i.e. -
    http://www.servername.com/images/picture.gif
The Site Definition (Advanced Tab) allows me to make my
images relative to the site root. But since my customers are
opening my HTML docs in their inboxes, that doesn't work.
I thought there was a way to make the entire URL appear in
the code for all images. Right now I do a Find/Replace at the end
of my process, but I would prefer it to be automated.
I hope this makes sense, and I hope someone has an answer for
    me.
    Jon

Unfortunately, no. I have informed the higher authorities,
    though....
