Saving PDF files after opening in Firefox from the web?

When I open a PDF file from my credit union it displays as an HTML document. When I try and save it, it also is an HTML without an option to save it as PDF. IE works fine in this situation. I have selected to open the PDF file in a separate Adobe X window but does not do so.

@masood131 - A few questions:
Are the pdf files without a thumbnail password protected? (Probably not but just checking since we will not be able to provide a preview for such a file).
If you click on the blank thumbnail to view the individual file page do you see a larger preview image, or is that blank too?
If you refresh the browser page does the thumbnail image show?
If you upload the file a second time do you see a thumbnail image?

Actually I am using Windows 8 (Not 8.1) and Adobe Reader Version XI (11.0.06)
Now, the exact problem I am facing is that there are certain types of pdf files I am being sent which are Password pritected (it may not be a necessary condition, i don;t know) and after I have keyed-in the correct password, it flashes the message- "Double-click here to open your file". Now while using the earlier versions of Adobe (or maybe Windows) I used to see a peculiar Pin-shaped object on the screen, double-clicking which used to open the file. That object is somehow missing this time, so I have no place to double-click. Therefore I am not able to open the file.I may add that I have recently moved to Windows 8 from XP, so my knowledge of Windows 8 is not up to mark. Can you please help?

When a pdf file is opened in a tab, the automatic scroll function from the pad does not work in the other tabs, but only for the particular PDF tab.

Have you checked to see if your PDF add-on is up to date? You should take a look at the [[Opening PDF files within Firefox]] Knowledge Base article. There is a lot of good information in there. You should try both of the suggested PDF add-ons to see if that fixes the issue.

I have a JSP (created with Java Studio Creator) which displays a table with links to different files. Some links open PDF-documents, other for instance DOC-files (msword). I download the file as follows:

All pdf-links are working fine and the correct document is displayed in a new browser window. but if I open a WORD-document and after that I click on another link to a pdf-file, the WORD-file is loaded again in the new window. Only if I close the window which contains the WORD-document, I can download the correct pdf after that.
Is something wrong with the response header (I tried "attachment" instead of "inline" too but without effect)?
Can anybody help?

I get error message when I try to open PDF's that I have downloaded from the web- document cannot be opened it is either not a supported file type or the file has been damaged. Need help

I do not know ow to access the PDF viewer of Safari, and BTW the problem may lie in the fact that i have not upgraded from 10.8.5.
And I do not know where the "open with" box might be or if it is a global or app-attached box.

Scrowing with touchpad not working when pdf file is opened in one of the the browsers tabs

When I save a Word document as a PDF file and open it, some of the boxes around the text don't show

I currently have Abobe Reader X (10.1.2) on Windows 7 and I need to save a Word document currently in A3 as a PDF file to print in A4. For some documents I have no problem printing and all of the text, images, boxes, lines etc. all show up no problem, except for 2 documents where there is a problem. The document fits onto the screen perfectly.

Reader is unable to create PDF files. You must be using some other product, and therefore should post your question in that product's forums.

Some but not all saved pdf files will open in Mac Maverick.

The Adobe Reader toolbar appear if you hover the mouse in a PDF being viewed in Safari.
The link you need to right click on is NOT in the PDF itself. It is on the page BEFORE, the one where you click to view the PDF. Does not always work.

Open a powerpoint from the web?

As a college student, my professors often post powerpoint presentations on blackboard.com. I would really like to be able to open and save these presentations on an ipad to view during class instead of wasting paper and time printing them (They're betwen 20-50 pages each as 6 slide handouts). I don't currently own an ipad as this is my main concern. If I can't do this than I would be deterred to a windows tablet such as the hp slate 500. I would rather the ipad but if it won't let me do what I need it to do it won't work. I'm constantly working with microsoft office and need to be able to work with this on my tablet.

Hi! I can't open youtube, IMDB or dailymoyion in my MacBook Air, all of a sudden. I am using MAC OSX v. 10.6.8. Can anyone help me? I tried every answer available on the internet...

I wonder if the image is being embedded somehow and there is not enough scratch disk space to render the file. Just a hunch. Check your hardrive to see how much free space is available. Also, check your RAM and see if you can upgrade ( install more, install much more ) to max out as much RAM as possible. At a minimum, check for fragmentation and do a "Correct Permissions" via Apple's Disk Utility.
But, weird things start happening when a font becomes corrupt. Not that one is, but it may be in your best interest to acquire a font management utility like Font Agent PRO ( if you don't have one already ). A good font management program can detect and disable corrupt fonts.
CS1 and OSX10.4 should be fairly compatable with the 7500, but you may have gone as far as you can go. Think about upgrading to a G4 or a G5. I believe the 7500 was pre G3 ( which I think is the minimum requirements for CS1 ).
