Saving photos as a jpeg

When I open Lightroom to develop and then send to CS3 to fine tune, I can not save the photo anywhere as a jpeg. So once I am finished and want a jpeg version, how can I get it to save that way? Thanks.
(Note: Starting from RAW images)

Uh huh...should be in the FAQ...
You exported into Photoshop as a 16 bit/channel file-which can not be saved as a jpg...either change your Lightroom prefs to send Photoshop 8 bit file or mode change in Photoshop to get to 8 bit and then save as jpg...

What color profiles is the scan? It must be RGB (sRGB is recommended) for iPhoto

IPod Touch 2.0 bug saving photos from e-mails

Hi all
Has anyone else had problems saving photo attachments in e-mails on the Touch with 2.0 software. I received an e-mail with 5 jpeg photo attachments. Opened them up to view them, decided to save them.
When I selected "Save 5 images" the Touch appeared to freeze for a bit (though it may have been converting the jpegs to thumbnail format I guess?) and then when I went to Photo to look at them, the app wouldn't open. It started, displayed a blank Event list and then bombed out back to the help screen...
Rebooting the Touch and saving them individually allowed me to save 4 of the 5 - but oddly the 5th image, although not in the event and viewable IS the image used to tag the event.
Quite odd.
Has anyone else been able to save photos reliably from e-mails into their photo library on their Touch 2.0?

I had this multiple times. Two times I was able to fix this in "just" remove MobileMe and the Exchange account. But this time the problem continues to exist. I've worked around this in using IMAP for E-Mail and Exchange for Contacts/Appointments. However since we're using PostPath instead of "real" Exchange contacts won't sync anyway.
Since I don't want to restore my whole iPod once a day I will stay with the IMAP workaround and hope that this will be fixed in 2.0.1

Photos captured by the iPhone are saved in jpeg format. A screen capture is saved in png format.
There is no setting to change either one to be captured/saved in a different format.

I can't find my saved photos?

I just bought Photoshop CS5 this weekend, so I'm brand new to everything. I had edited a photo of my sister last night and went to save it by "save as" and I had made a seperate folder in my "pictures" library. Today I went to pull up the photo to show my sister, but the whole folder wasn't even there. So I went in and re-edited the picture and saved it, recreating the folder and paying closer attention to what the picture was saved as (at the time I first saved it I hadn't realized that it was saved as a .PSD so this time I made sure that I saved it as a .JPEG). Still the folder itself isn't showing up. How can fix it/what am I doing wrong?

Hmm, I am wondering if the new folder was linked to the library. that would explain why you can see the folder in photoshop and not from explorer.
Try this (assuming your on windows 7) Click on the windows start button (where your programs are listed) At the bottom of that menu is a search box.
Type in the following:
*.psd
or
*.jpg
This will bring up a list of all the psd or jpg files on your drive. You can then double click on the file to open the image in HP's image viewer.
Also if you right click on the file, you will find (open) on the menu minus the parentheses clicking on open will allow you to choose from various programs like photoshop, HP image viewer, windows fax and image viewer, internet explorer and so on.
Generally on a windows system, most if not all pictures are stored in the pictures folder. Though they can be stored anywhere and linked to the library.
Also take a look at the trash can and see if there is trash in it. Any files that are deleted to to the trash can where you have the chance to restore the files if you made a mistake.

Saving photos in iPhoto app directly

I have macbook pro 15", early 2011, 10.8.4 mountain lion OSx, and my image viewer/ editor is iphoto 11, however iphoto is for normal beginner users (like me) and even the photo editing for adding filters/ cropping/ adjusting, nothing professional. but such work done in photoshop elements 11 and others.
so I download it (PSE 11) and connect it as the editor with iphoto 11, but I faced problem while saving the photos back and I searched the net and saw video tutorial, and unfortunately so far nothing to save edited photos directly as JPEG to iphoto from PSE11.. I tried to contact customer suppory by email or chat but unfortunately was unable to do that, and it was suggested that I post such question in the forum hoping one expert to answer.
kindly if there is and solution please do show me, and/or send me link or email address to contact adobe people as this is big issue from my prospective.

thank you for the reply, I did what you suggest but when I hit save, and return to iphoto, there wont be any modified photo in the same folder there, only the original one.
except for No 2 suggestion, I was doing that already but its annoying. for instance Im student in molecular biology and we use images for gel electrophoresis, we need to edit them before puplishing,, in iphoto before using any external editor, I used to make correction (exposure/ croping/ filter etc in iphoto directly to the image) and it will be saved as it is. but with PSE11 this is pain, you have to do adjustment and save it on desktop, then in iphoto you have to import the image from desktop, I hope you get me now

Saving photos from PSE6 into Aperture

After editing a Photo in PSE 6 and saving it into Aperture, the photo is always saved as a TIFF image, regardless of whether I mark it to be saved as a TIFF, JPEG or PSD. Is this how PSE is supposed to work? Are there ways to save it from PSE6 in other formats into Aperture? If not, how can I then convert it into a JPEG image once it is in Aperture?

You may want to invest a tiny bit of time reading something like this before you put a whole bunch of time into organizing things in Aperture:

Sorry for the late reply. My email firewall has become a little over zealous & sent a lot of my emails straight to my junk email folder, so I have only just now discovered your reply in my junk mail folder.
The only "don't open files exceeding xxx megabytes" instruction I can find in my Prefs, is in the Bridge Prefs for Thumbnails, & mine is set at 1000mb. The biggest files I handle are bigger than 200mb so I should be able to open a few, not just one.
However, this doesn't explain why I can open a psd format file of 180mb, close it, but then can't open a RAW format file of only 26mb immediately after.
I can open the RAW file only if I restart my computer - very annoying!
However, thanks for the advice about the video card & memory.
So, I'm still stuck as to what the issue is.

When I am saving photos from a file, I cannot get the save path to go back to the default folder I want them in. Each save has to be done by going through the path to find the folder I'm saving to.

I am saving photo files from my camera, a drop box etc. I used to be able to click "save as" and the folder I saved in before came up for saving the new image. Now, I have to start way back to the "Barb" folder - to "documents" "images, etc" back up to the folder I save these particular pictures in.
How do I get the "save" to go to the last folder I used - in this particular session?
Everytime you route me back to "educated guesses" I cannot find this particular problem

Firefox 11+ versions have support via browser.download.lastDir.savePerSite pref to disable to disable the feature to remember the download directory based upon the URL. 
The browser.download.lastDir.savePerSite pref doesn't exist by default (it is hidden). 
Create a new Boolean pref with the name browser.download.lastDir.savePerSite and set the value to false.
You may have the clear the "Site Preferences" via Clear Recent History to remove already stored data.

I have been saving photos that have been emailed to me. They show up in the camera roll and then I put them in separate albums. My camera roll when I try to open it freezes and the thumbprints are a jumbled and blurred. This is on my ipad.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).
No data will be lost.

The iphone is not a storage/backup device. The picture sycn is one way - computer to iphone. The photos are also reduced in size when synced to iphone so they are not of the original quality
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup of your computer.
Have you failed to do this?
If so, not good at all, you can e-mail the pics to yourself - keep in mind they will never be of the original quality

Trying to get Saved Photos from my iPod to my Computer

I am a Windows Vista user and i have owned an iPod Touch 2nd Gen 16 Gb for many months.
Before i have updated from 3.0 software to 3.1, i used to access the 'Saved Photos' frolder on my ipod by going to My computer and d.clicking on the ipod icon and there was the folder with the photos i have saved on my ipod, for instance photos i saved from the web browser or backgrounds i saved from some applications.
Now, there is no iPod Touch icon in My computer ever again, nither when ipod touch is connected and being synced nor when the sync is finished. Simply, i can not find a way to access the saved photos folder after the update.
Does anyone know if maybe there is some new setting in iTunes that turns on this convenient function on an iPod touch?
I know there are programs that allow you to COPY all photo content from an iPod but this is not what i am looking for.
I want to do this because I want to keep the Saved Photos on my PC so when I restore my iPod I can still have 'em put in my iPod, since I will lose them restoring it..

Nevermind I just figured it out! I had to select NO EVENTS which made that whole section clickable and I unchecked what I didn't want on my iPod!

IPhone 4s no longer saving photos after downloading iOS6

After downloading the new iOS6 to my iPhone 4s I can no longer save pictures from Facebook or the web. When I touch the photo I am given the option to save it (which I do), but then it doesn't appear in my camera roll. Only pics taken with camera are saved. Why is this happening??

There is one way of saving photos of Facebook that is to hold down the home button and the button at the top of your phone the button at top hold these two down together and it will save it for you. You might have to do it a few times but it will work because I do it this way all the time hope it works for ya.
