Saving pics from an email

Is there a way to save the pictures sent to me in an email from the email directly to the phone without having to synch with the computer? If not, can I add photos from my computer at work by synching with it and not lose the photos that are already on the phone? Thanks for any help!

No, not possible. You have to access the email on the computer and save the photos then sync them to the iPhone

If you are syncing photos from a second computer you will loose the photos you already have on the phone unless you transfer those photos from your home computer to the work computer and sync them again. So you have to have all the photos you want on the phone on the same computer

How to save a pic from an email

I love my droid x but I can't find an answer on how to save a pic from an email. Does anyone know how to do this or what app will help me ?

Im sorry, I left out a step, after you download file, then hold on file on list (Do not Open) and then select save from the menu.
Ok let try this again
1. Open Email
2. At top there should be the number and the words "View Attachments" - Click on View Attachments
3. Now you should have a list of attachments with a arrow next to it if not downloaded.
4. Click file you want to download and you should get a animation where the arrow was that is indicating its being downloaded.
5. Once the animation stops this means file has been downloaded to a temp file to be viewed.
6. Now Press and Hold on file text and a window should open with three options - VIEW - SAVE- and SHARE
7. Select Save from list
8. Once complete it will have a little message at bottom of page that says "File was downloaded to SD Card"
9. Now file will be saved in SD / Messages folder on SD Card.

Saving images from html email.

I can't save images from html email. I can save attachments, but how save images with in html?
I can't find it.

Does anyone know how I can save pics off the internet or from email onto my Ipod Touch? Seems like apple looked over this feature....

Touch and hold the picture, the option to save will pop up, saved images can be found in you "photos" app....

How come everytime I view a pic from an email on my iPad, there's a black square instead of the pic?

Whenever I pull up an email, instead of displaying the pic, it displays a black square. How do I fix this?

I'm sure there are plenty of people that you knew what you meant but I just wasn't familiar with the terminology. I assumed thats what you meant but I wasn't sure. After I posted my son explained it to me as well.
I don't know that much about this issue but from what I've read in the past, I assumed that it normally indicates that the photos are being sent in an unrecognizable format which would be really hard to believe if it happens with every email that you have been receiving.
Do you have load remote images turned on in settings? Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Load Remote Images>On?
Have you tried emailing a photo to yourself and see what happens? if not - try sending an email to the iPad from you computer. Have you tried tapping and holding down on the photo to bring up the save or copy option to see what happens? Maybe save one of the photos and see if it opens in the photos app?
Have you tried resetting your iPad? Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears - ignore the re slider?

Saving Pix From an Email

I got an email with some pictures i want to save but i am having some problems. I saved them to my iPhoto library but they are not there. When go to the harddrive and click on iPhoto library they are in a folder. What is the difference? I want to click on iPhoto and put the pictures in a certain album.

How did you get them into iPhoto?
Download the photos to a temporary folder on your desktop, then from iPhoto, click File -> Add to Library and browse to the desktop folder where the photos are at. Click "Import" and iPhoto will do the rest.

I am no longer able to download pics from an email attachment

I used to right click the pic and save to on my other program but it is not saving anywhere but under Firefox download and then I am unable to transfer it anywhere

Saving pics from the web into photos for Asha 302

This has been mentioned before for other phones. For the Asha302 seems not to be as straight forward as my old Nokia 310. Is there a simple way? Thanks

You can use Opera mini and save the images by pressing 1 or by long pressing center menu key on an image and saving them to any folder of your choice.
Get opera mini from store.

Can't find an excel file I saved after opening it/saving it from yahoo.email

I was sent an excel spreadsheet via my yahoo email
I opened it and then saved it, since it did not allow me to fill in the blanks until I saved it. I cannot find it anywhere, and now cannot even find my location for "Temporary" files on my laptop, either, which is where I think it may have gone.
I do not have the info anymore to fill this requested form out again. PLEASE HELP!

You should always save a file that you open via internet under a different name.<br />
Firefox usually saves such a file as read-only anyway, so you can't edit and save the file.<br />
It is not guaranteed that you files persist after closing the application that opens them via an open with dialog.<br />
So in your case you may have lost the file.<br />
You can check in Excel if there are possible temp files created to save the data while editing.

How do I import all folders and saved messages from another email address?

This sounds like you have created a POP mail account.
Pop mail accounts can only get access and download from server Inbox to Thunderbrd mail account Inbox. This is not a Thunderbird quirk; it is how all POP mail accounts work.
There is a workaround.
In Thunderbird
* Move all good emails from Inbox to other suitable folders.
* Delete any emails you do not want.
* Right click on Inbox and select : 'Compact'
Now you have an empty Inbox which will make it easier to identify emails downloaded from different folders.
* Log on to webmail account using a browser.
* Move all emails from one of your folders into Inbox.
* In Thunderbird select to 'Get Messages'
* Thunderbird will download any emails not previously downloaded to the Inbox.
* Create a suitable folder and move all those emails into it.
Repeat this action to move emails in other folders into webmail Inbox and then download them.
This will get emails from server folders into Thunderbird.
From then onwards any new mail coming into server Inbox will get downloaded to Thunderbird mail account Inbox, so this workaround would only need to be done once.

In both cases it is always advisable to periodically create a backup:

You can save it by pressing and hold the file and then tap Copy attached to SD card on the options menu. Or you can download the app called Save MMS. That lets you save pictures,videos,sounds from text messages.

Okay, this might sound really dumb, but...
You know how, on a PC, to save a picture from the internet, you would right click and and save? How do you do that on a Mac? I'd like to save a picture from a webpage and I have noo idea how...

You can click on the image and drag it to the desktop.
You can right click on the image if you have a two button mouse (or hold down the control key and click for single button mouse) and either select download to (wherever you have your Safari download location preference set), or hold down the option key and select "save image as" to move the image to a specific location.
You'll see other options too in the contextual menu.

I have scanned 140 slides on a scanjet 4890. However I cannot seem to find the place to save them on an external storage.......I have many slides to copy .....
I would like to think i have not wasted my afternoon : ) .....Please help
