Saving Picture Images

Is it possible to save an picture image once surfing a page in Safari?? How can you save a pic to the photo album??

So here's my understanding: If a friend emails me a photo & I open the email on my iPhone there is absolutely NO WAY of saving that picture directly to my iPhone? I would have to go thru the trouble of re-opening the email on my desktop Mac, save the emailed pic to iPhoto, & then sync it to my iPhone?
This can't be right. I'm not doubting previous comments in this thread but someone somewhere has to have a work-around for this. If not, that's just plain ludicrous.

Can somebody help me?  I'm fairly green to the whole computer & smartphone world...  Let me apologize beforehand.
I'm looking for some assistance saving pictures sent to me as a text message to my centro album.  I do not have email access on my phone so I'm looking for a way to hot sync them to my PC as I'm able to do with the pictures I take myself.
Thanks in advance for ANY help.

I have verizon but i was having the same problem but i just kept messing around. to save picture txt on a palm centro into the palm album, you click on the image icon that appears next to the txt, and then you press the button that is next to the alt key. and that will give you a list of things to do, including save picture and you can select which album you want to save it to

  • Print Screen in landscape mode flips it in saved pictures

1.) Hold your iPad in landscape mode
2.) Do a print screen by holding the "sleep" and "home" buttons ( the only two buttons on the iPad, same as iPhone)
3.) Go to "Saved Pictures" in the Photo App
It's reversed!!!!! Or is this only me?

I use Rotate Mojo to handle orientation. It is an iPhone app, but works just fine, with no impact on image quality.
As far as the mirror image issue goes, that is not something that is happening on my iPad. I just double checked both orientations.

  • An error occurred saving the images to the chosen file location

I am trying to save the scans from my HP Officejet 6500.  I receive the following error message:
An error occurred saving the images to the chosen file location.
    I have Win 7.
I can scan and save if I choose to use the picture option but I can't use the feeder with the picture option.  It is only good if I have 1 page.

I received this exact same message:
an error occurred saving the images to the chosen file location.
    8,[(8,106,0)]
I have not had the time to verify this, but I suspect the security settings on any other location you specify are not the same as those of the default.  i.e. C:\Users\%Username%\Documents\My Scans
When I used the default location and base name the software provided, it worked.
My guess is Microsoft and/or HP may have changed the security permissions for something in the path folders and the Scanning Software is therefore not permitted to write into the location you entered.

  • Saving an image with altered metadata corrupts it

When I apply a set of metadata by Nikon NX2 and then save the image on iPhoto, then it becomes impossible to open it again: the error I receive is the following (in Italian):
Impossibile caricare il file: Macintosh        HD/Utenti/fbartolom/Immagini/iPhoto        Library/Masters/2010/03/20/20100320-121339/DSC_6029_5.NEF        Formato colore non valido. Il formato del file non è supportato.
Please not that if I just save the image on the disk the problem does not surface, neither if later I import it to iPhoto and open it again.
So there must be a glitch in the direct saving from NX2 to iPhoto. Has anyone some cue on what is the problem and how to solve it? Of course saving each image and importing them again should be a little of an overkill.

Yes, I am using it since I bough it nearly 3 years ago without any problem. Frankly I am non sure I understood what you said: so I explain what I do and what iPhoto and NX2 do:
    1) I click modify on a NEF image in iPhoto 11.
1') iPhoto duplicated the photo and launches NX2 on this duplicated photo.
2a) I edit the picture and Save the image.
2a') iPhoto 11 correctly opens this latter image - I will have to manually delete the original photo.
2b) I enter the metadata in the image on NX2 and SAVE.
2b') iPhoto reports an error when I try to re-open the saved NEF file.

  • Saving multiple images while in bridge after editing in CR

I have a question involving saving multiple images while in Bridge after they were edited in camera raw PS CS4.  I usually view my images in Bridge and select the ones I want to edit in camera raw.  I then open the images in camera raw and make the edits which I want to the first image of the group.  I then click on the select all button on the top left corner.  I then click on the sychronize button and choose the edits from CR which I want to carry through the whole group of images.  I then click on the save images button on the bottom left of the CR page.  This now brings me back to bridge where I'm looking at the images in their edited version.
This is where the question begins.  At this point, I thought the edited made in CR were saved to the images folder located on my computer.  But up to this point when Ive gone back to the image folder and looked at the images they were still in their original unedited state although the edited versions showed up in Bridge.
At the point, where I am looking at the edited photos in bridge, do I have to go through another step to save the edited images in Bridge so they will transfer over to the image folder where the images are stored in my computer?

I was looking for the metdata in another window.  Ok . I found it and HQ thumbs was checked already.  I can see the edits from CR in the Bridge window.
After I check save image in CR, does the edited info get saved only to Bridge or should that be saved all the way to my image folder?
The problem is that when I exist Bridge and look in the image folder the changes I made in CR are not there.  How do I get those changes from CR saved to my computer (my pictures)?

  • I am having problems saving certain images

I am having problems saving certain images. For example, on Ebay while viewing an auction item, when you click on the image to view the larger picture it opens in a new window. With Internet Explorer, you can "right-click" and "save picture as". With Firefox 3.6.9 the "save picture as" option is not availabale. Other options such as save "save page as" are available, but not "save as," or "save picture as." Any ideas? Thanks

I have found a solution to the problem. Apparently there is an addon to fix this. Had no idea a specific google search for "trouble saving images on ebay" would turn up anything.

  • Access saved pictures without CameraRoll on iOS / Android

    Hi there,
Does anyone can confirm that because of sandboxing restrictions, there is no way (eg File class) to access saved pictures folder (aka DCIM...) without using CameraRoll class and thus native UI on iOS and Android devices?
The reason I want to do this is that I need to create an image browser with different picture size that the tiny one provided by native CameraRoll UI, like in Instagram app on iOS does.
    Maybe an ANE ?
    Thanks for your advices.

    Govinda,
Will it hit a beta version of the SDK so we can test and provide feedback?  I do appreciate the response given how old this is but I have a ton of poor comments and one of my apps has been severely down ranked in Google Play as a result which is translating to lost revenue.  Any info you can provide on this is appreciated like which version / build number, which bugs are resolved and general availability would be nice (1 week, 1 month?).  The AIR release notes leave much to be desired.  Is the below fixed?  It shows open and unverified currently...

On boot, Pictures shows no albums. Scanning device. Minutes elapse then all albums show. Open camera, take pictures, images do not show as saved. Reboot device and they appear. Repeat process gives same result. Something is amiss. Latest sw.

If the photos were on the device before the update, in order to be able to view them full screen, you will have to go into the contact and edit the picture. Just select the contact, select Edit, then edit the photo by tapping on it and select Done. This should modify the size.

If you saved the image in a format that is set to open in PSE, it will open PSE when you open it. Try right clicking the closed image and choosing open with... and navigating to another program if you don't want to use PSE.

  • Camera not saving pictures

A few weeks ago my Z10 stopped saving pictures in the camera album. All the old pix are still there, but if I take a new picture it vanishes in about 5 sec. I have plenty of room on both my device and SD memory.
Is there any sort of maximum image limit in an album?

The limit is the size of your memory, if you have a sd card, in camera settings enable 'Save on Media Card'.

  • Help! Saving an image to stream and recreating it on client over network

    Hi,
I have an application that uses JDK 1.1.8. I am trying to capture the UI screens of this application over network to a client (another Java app running on a PC). The client uses JDK 1.3.0. As AWT image is not serializable, I got code that converts UI screens to int[] and persist to client socket as objectoutputstream.writeObject and read the data on client side using ObjectInputStream.readObject() api. Then I am converting the int[] to an Image. Then saving the image as JPEG file using JPEG encoder codec of JDK 1.3.0.
I found the image in black and white even though the UI screens are in color. I have the code below. I am sure JPEG encoder part is not doing that. I am missing something when recreating an image. Could be colormodel or the way I create an image on the client side. I am testing this code on a Win XP box with both server and client running on the same machine. In real scenario, the UI runs on an embedded system with pSOS with pretty limited flash space. I am giving below my code.
I appreciate any help or pointers.
    Thanks

While testing more, I found that the client side is generating color UI screens if I use JDK 1.3 JVM for running the server (i.e the side that generates the img) without changing single line of code. But if I use JDK 1.1.8 JVM for the server, the client side is generating black and white versions (aka gray toned) of UI screens. So I added code to save int array that I got from PixelGrabber to a text file with 8 ints for each line in hex format. Generated these files on server side with JVM 1.1.8 and JVM 1.3. What I found is that the 1.1.8 pixel grabber is setting R,G,B components to same value where as 1.3 version is setting them to different values thus resulting in colored UI screens. I don't know why.

  • I duplicated a picture and now iPhoto (11) is cloning that picture replacing all the other photos and only when I click directly on them I can see the real picture! How can I solve the problem without losing any saved picture? Shall I re-install? Thanx

I duplicated a picture selecting CMD and D but, suddenly, iPhoto (latest version '11) started cloning that picture and replacing all the other photos with it.
Only when I click directly on one photo I can open it and see the real picture it is.
But the preview is always the duplicated one...
I tryed to duplicate another picture just to see if it turned out ok but the only changement was the duplicated picture!
I started repeating the second duplicated one instead of the previous one but my issue remained the same.
So, how can you help me to solve this problem without losing any saved picture?
    Shall I re-install iPhoto completely?
Thank you very very much in advance!!

As Larry says, restoring the back up is the fastest and best solution. Otherwise:
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

  • Use of Pictures/Images in CCM 2

    Hello,
We use CCM 2.0 (200_700 - HP 11) with SRM 5.0 (SAPKIBKT11) and we want to incorporate pictures/images in our catalogs.
I have done some reading in SDN but still Im a bit confused. Please could anyone answer my questions?
    1. If in my Vendor Catalogs does not exist the complex caracteristic "/CCM/PICTURE" with ID type data "/CCM/ATTACHMENT ", how can I create it in the vendor catalogs - as it should be incorporated as predefined characteristics as I understand it- ?
    2. Where and How should one create a MIME repository?
    3. After having created the MIME repository, how does one fill it with data of pictures.
    4. Where can one visualize what MIME types are already defined in the system? Trx. or menu path!
    5. Do I need to define a OCI field in one of the Characteristics asociated with /CCM/PICTURE for the picture to be visible in the shopping cart while accessing the Catalog? In the standard version there is no OCI field defined in neither of the characteristics  /CCM/DESCRIPTION, /CCM/URL and /CCM/MIME_TYPE.
    6. Example of a CSV 2.0 file with the characteristics /CCM/DESCRIPTION, /CCM/URL and /CCM/MIME_TYPE filled to upload.
Thanks very much for any reply.
    Aart

    Hi Aart,
Firstly - please note that like SAP mesasges it is best to only create one issue per post in order to ensure you will receive responses quicker.
    Regarding #
    1. If in my Vendor Catalogs does not exist the complex caracteristic "/CCM/PICTURE" with ID type data "/CCM/ATTACHMENT ", how can I create it in the vendor catalogs - as it should be incorporated as predefined characteristics as I understand it- ?
As this is a predefined characteristic, you do not need to create this char in the Supplier Catalog, it is sufficient to simply valuate the field in the CSV/XML import.
    2. Where and How should one create a MIME repository?
The Mime repository ideally should be a webserver within your SLD where you can store mimes for use by the catalog, any webserver which can be accessed by URL is sufficient to use. Alternatively you can use the MIME directory of the WAS 640/700 where your CCM is installed, but this is not recommended.
    3. After having created the MIME repository, how does one fill it with data of pictures.
    As it is a webserver, you simply place all the images/docs/pdf's etc you wish to use into the directory, then point to this directory in the upload using the complex characteristic /CCM/PICTURE. e.g. you house some pictures on your webserver located at http://webserver:port/MIMES/Images1.jpg {Please note, this directory can be called whatever you like ;-)}
    4. Where can one visualize what MIME types are already defined in the system? Trx. or menu path!
Not too sure exacflty what you're looking for here?!?!?
Perhaps there is some misunderstanding here - when you are shopping in SRM and access the catalog - you are displaying the data from the CSE (catalog search engine), the 'picture' is never actually sent to SRM and is displayed in the CSE directly so no mapping of any characteristic is required.
    6. Example of a CSV 2.0 file with the characteristics /CCM/DESCRIPTION, /CCM/URL and /CCM/MIME_TYPE filled to upload.
The CSV file is easily created, i.e. in the description above you have the following:
    http://webserver:port/MIMES/Images1.jpg
    So, the /CCM/DESCRIPTION = Images1, /CCM/URL = http://webserver:port/MIMES and /CCM/MIME_TYPE = JPG
    Hope this helps!

    Jason
