Saving picture on safari right to iPhone

is there anyway to save pictures from safari to your iPhone?

There are no options to save files to the iPhone directly from Safari.

I'm new to Mac. How do you save a picture from a webpage so that it will be a jpg file? I know you right click on the mouse if it were a PC, but how do you do it on a Mac? I haven't had a chance to get a mouse for my MacBook Pro, but I don't think that it should matter because there's no right click on Mac. I'd really appreciate it if someone can help me. Thanks!

    Hi
Welcome to Apple Discussions and Mac Computing
There are a few ways to save pictures from the web. The easiest is simply to click on the picture and drag it to the desktop. From there, you can move the file to any other location via the Finder.
Right click on a MacBook - the unique trackpad of the notebook makes this rather easy. Go to System Preferences>Keyboard & Mouse>Trackpad to enable the "tap trackpad using two fingers for secondary click".
Right click brings up a contextual menu. One command is to save image. Pressing the option key changes this to "save image as". You can rename the image, plus navigate to a specific location for saving it.
Good way to familiarize yourself with OS X is to pick up a copy of Scott Kelby's book OS X Tiger: Killer Tips.

  • How to stop iPhoto launch when saving pictures in Safari?

How do I stop iPhoto from automatically launching or coming to the front of the screen every time I want to save a picture I find using Safari?  It's incredibly annoying that each time I click to save one, iPhoto just jumps right into my face.
    Thanks!

    Hi Neil -
Thanks for getting back so quickly.  Unfortunately this didn't do the trick.
Perhaps I should have been more specific: I'm "adding the photos" to my library.  Each time I do this iPhoto launches.
    Thanks!

  • Why can't I update my saved passwords in Safari on my iPhone?

My phone is running iOS 8.1.3. I need to update some of my Autofill saved passwords but it never prompts me to "update" when I delete the old password and enter a new one. I've tried turning on and off iCloud Keychain, deleting all the saved passwords, etc.

Can you see the iPhoto Library from any other app, like Safari?  File ➙ Open File menu option:

  • My Iphone 4s automatically synced when I started ITunes. When it did this it saved all of my pictures on my computer to my phone. How do I reverse this and take the pictures back off of my iPhone?

My Iphone 4s automatically synced when I started ITunes. When it did this it saved all of my pictures on my computer to my phone. How do I reverse this and take the pictures back off of my iPhone?

Yeah, my iPhone 4S sometimes manages to connect to wifi for about 10 minutes now. I think there is a problem related with the antenna because when the phone heats up, the WIFI stops working. I had a similar experience with my older iPhone 4S which I bought from the U.S.A. (unlocked version) but after a couple of days, WIFI icon grayed out and I wasn't able to switch it on and off. Now the phone I'm using was bought in Turkey from a local carrier, (it's not locked I suppose) I'm planning on upgrading to an iPhone 6 and I will try to get my 4S repaired. I hope it is something related with software rather than hardware. Because a friend of mine sent his phone to the local Apple store to be fixed, they sent the phone back claiming that they had repaired it. But in about 2 days, the phone shut itself down and never turned off back again lol. I don't want to experience the same thing. But anyway, thanks for your answer. At least now I know that I'm not the only one that has this problem .

  • Why can't I sign into any website using Safari on my iPhone?

No matter the website, it will not recognize my password into the site. I don't understand. I can't sign into my school site, check my bank account, sign into paypal. Why won't it let me? I've double, triple, quadruple checked my passwords and they're all correct because I sign on my Macbook with them, but why can't I sign in on my phone? I even downloaded Chrome and they alll worked on Chrome on my phone. But I don't want to use Chrome Help me please?

I already looked at that discussion but cookies are enabled, and I never use private browsing. When I try to sign in it says that the login failed. It doesn't matter what website I'm on (except apple for some reason I can sign in on apple.com) it doesn't recognize my password. I've typed in everything correctly a dozen times. But Safari had saved my passwords before this started happening so the reason I know the passwords are correct is because I saved them on safari and would just go to the website sign in and my password was saved so id log in and it would work. But now it doesn't. And I don't know why. It works on my computer so I know the passwords are right. But why can't the websites on safari on my iphone recognize my passwords?

  • JPG images smaller after saving out of Safari

Maybe I am missing some totally basic knowledge about how Mac OS X handles images or Safari on Mac OS X is very different in this regard as compared to other browsers/systems:
I open a picture in Safari and it says in the title that this image has a size of 1271x1526 pixels. Now I want to save that picture by right-clicking into it and then left-clicking on the option "save image to desktop". That it does, all is well so far, but when I later open that image with preview it's much smaller than it was before. So I used a third-party image browser (CocoViewX) and there I get the full details, the image in the jpg file now has a size of only 153x184 pixels.
If, instead, I click copy in the context menu in Safari and then paste in CocoViewX and export from there in the same format (jpg), the image is full-size, 1271x1526 pixels, again.
What is this? Am I doing something wrong? Is there some setting I have to change so I can save the picture in full size right out of Safari without having to copy and paste via another program?
Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance.
MacMini and also a PC and an iBook   Mac OS X (10.4.5)

    Dear scapesuiter,
thank you for your input, I wish it were that simple, but this problem occurs after I click the thumbnail and have the complete image in a new browser window. I see the whole image (even have to scroll because it's bigger than my screen) and right in that large image I right-click ...
It almost seems as if Mac OS X (or Safari) is automatically reducing the image size whilst saving it. But in Mac OS X this also doesn't seem to be a kind of thumbnail or so, I double-click the image in the Finder and then I see it in preview and when I click "original size" it's much smaller than my screen as opposed to before saving it from Safari (see above).
Again, thanks anyway, can you think of another reason why "it" might do this?

  • Disable Saved Searches in Safari?

    Hi
After the 4.2.1 update I have not been able to disable saved searches in safari.
I use Google and every time I hit the search bar on the upper right corner in Safari, I get a list of past searches..I cannot remember how to turn it off.
I tried the "do not save searches" in the google preferences/settings to no avail.
    Any info would be great.
    Thanks!

    Thanks!
That clears the history but it seems though after I do another search the search term stays in a new list for next time. I remember there was a way that Safari would not save your searches..I tried the Google preferences section but it's not sticking...I'm "saving" the changes also and restarting the iPhone but no luck. Thoughts?
    Thanks again!

  • Why are all pictures I take on my iPhone 4s upside down when received in an email?

Always the pictures download upside down whenever it's emailed. In my camera roll they are straight or right side up and also it's right side up in another iOS device but when I download it from my pc it's always sideways or upside down.

It's always right side up if the picture is in a text message or opened in an email in an  iOS device. However in my case like using a laptop to open some mail the pictures I've taken from my iPhone is always upside down or sideways. If I then try to rotate it, for some pictures my computer will give an error message that the picture can't be saved with the changes because of something about the file properties.  It is possible that it's my computer but if you have a pc and an iPhone try it.
Also if I edit the pictures in iPhoto using my iPhone the pictures opened in my pc is always right side up with no problems.  Or if I import the pictures using the windows photo application most of the time the pictures will import correctly but like in my case a few nights ago some pictures were upside down and sideways and could not be saved after rotating it.

  • Why firefox has slow response when i 'm saving pictures to hard disk?

I have windows 7 64 bit and Mozila firefox ver. 17.0.1. I have the following problem. When i try to save a picture from a site (right mouse click and save as) to the hard disk of my pc, the response of firefox is slow. It takes about 6 to 10 seconds. I thought it was a matter of file size but it proved that it was irrelevant, because it was happening to pictures from 10kb to 500kb. I did the following:
    - clear history
    - clear cache from firefox and the folder ''cache'' in my profile
    - delete the files downloads.sqlite and localstore.rdf
    - i changed the ''browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone'' and ''services.sync.prefs.sync.browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone'' to false
    - clear the downloads window
    - disable all add-ons
After all these, the problem still remained
Then i started firefox in safe mode (help --> Restart with Add-ons Disabled...). The problem still remained.
Then i disabled Microsoft security essentials (real time protection) and windows firewall. I do not have any other anti-virus or firewall on my pc. Nothing happened.
Then i created a new profile (reset firefox). Nothing happened. So, one last attempt was left to do. Reboot with safe mode. So i followed the following steps.
i ran msconfig and disabled ''Microsoft Security Client'' from start up tab and ''Microsoft Antimalware Service'' from services tab. So i did a safe mode boot with network support and windows firewall, disabled. Guess what. Nothing happened.
I noticed that when i was trying to save pictures, during the process, there was a significant hard disk activity (the led indicator of hard disk activity was lighting constantly) and firefox on the left upper corner, shown the message ''not responding'' for about 6 to 10 seconds. You understand that saving a picture of 19kb in 10 seconds is not normal.
Is this problem has to do with the cache? The hard disk is an SSD (solid state drive). Do you think it would be better to redirect cache to memory? (i have 6GB total RAM). This problem was also happening to previous versions of firefox, but i think that with this version, the problem is more frequent. It is not happening with every picture, but it happens with more than 65% of the pictures.
It also happens when loading a web page, but it might be a matter of a heavy web page that uses many resources of my system, during loading. The problem is the same. Constant hard disk activity and it takes time to load the web page. The problem with web page loading, is not as frequent as with saving pictures.
I think it is a matter of cache management. What is your opinion?
    Thank you.

The cause to my problem was the jump lists, that Windows 7 introduced. There are two kinds of jump lists, automatic and custom. Automatic jump lists were causing the slow down of firefox through window explorer. Finally it was a problem of windows explorer and not firefox. Windows 7 introduced many new features that cause slow system performance. Anyway the solution to the problem is to follow the steps:
    1. Open mycomputer and on the address bar paste the path: %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations
    2. Press ctrl + a
    3. press shift + delete and delete everything inside the folder
I think that the respective jump list of windows explorer is the one that starts with 1b4dd67f29cb1962, in case you don't want to delete every jump list in the folder. If you use firefox, download a file and then go to the above mentioned path and view files by date. The most recent file should be the correspondent with firefox.

  • Rescued pictures were downloaded to my iPhone; Can't delete from folders

We rescued 368 pictures from an Android phone that was damaged and downloaded to my iPhone and stored in folders...Photo Library, Saved pictures and DCIM.... Finally, I had tech rep at store copy them to a zip drive and I stored safely to my computer.  But cannot delete the downloaded photoes from iPhone; cannot delete the surplus folders (are they surplus?).  Any ideas?  Needless to say, they are taking up room somewhere in my iPhone... I really need to reverse the process of the original download and get them removed.
    Please help.
    Thanks

If the photos are in your Photo Library, they had to use iTunes to transfer the photos to your iPhone. Photos transferred from a computer to the iPhone are stored in the Photo Library.
If these photos were not transferred from your computer, all you need to do is select Sync Photos under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes on your computer to transfer select photos from your computer to your iPhone. A warning message will be provided indicating this will erase all existing photos on your iPhone that were transferred from another computer.
If your iPhone is recognized by iTunes on your computer, it will be available under Devices in the iTunes source list. Select it under Devices to make the various tabs for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes available in the main iTunes window. If you have ever owned an iPod, the process is identcal.
If not available under Devices in the iTunes source list when connected to your computer, check this link.

  • How to determine the source to where my saved photo (not taken by my iPhone camera) on whether what application or website did i got that photo? need to go to the source again, please help

how to determine the source to where my saved photo (not taken by my iPhone camera) on whether what application or website did i got that photo? need to go to the source again, please help

There is no way to trace the source of a saved photo.
You might have some luck if you search through the Safari web site history available via the Bookmark icon.

  • Print Screen in landscape mode flips it in saved pictures

1.) Hold your iPad in landscape mode
2.) Do a print screen by holding the "sleep" and "home" buttons ( the only two buttons on the iPad, same as iPhone)
3.) Go to "Saved Pictures" in the Photo App
It's reversed!!!!! Or is this only me?

I use Rotate Mojo to handle orientation. It is an iPhone app, but works just fine, with no impact on image quality.
As far as the mirror image issue goes, that is not something that is happening on my iPad. I just double checked both orientations.

  • Images saved from Mobile Safari are significantly degraded

When I tried to use an image saved from Mobile Safari as my wallpaper I noticed that it looked horrible. It was blurry and more importantly the dynamic range of the image had been compressed, blowing out all the detail in the bright areas of the image and making it contrastier. This is especially bad on the type of photo I was trying to use, a high-key image, where most of the detail is in the light tones. Much of the image was simply displayed as blank white.
As a test I tried emailing the image I had saved into Photos to myself and compared it to the original I had saved from the web. Sure enough, the image was blurrier and had less dynamic range so it's not just an iPhone display issue. Also, the image was only 27% smaller in file size and the pixel dimensions were actually slightly increased. A quick re-save in Photoshop with JPEG quality set to low (4) reduced the file size by 53% while still not affecting the image anything like what the iPhone did. So it doesn't make sense that the poor quality is only due to resizing for faster transmission.
Can anyone else confirm this or replicate the issue? I've verified this with a 1st gen and 3G iPhone side by side, both running OS 2.1.

    No, it's not only you.
I noticed it too. As a matter of fact, I just posted a really long post in a thread about iPhone/iPod Touch's photo quality.

When saving pictures to my iphone from an email the pictures show up very blurry & not as crisp & clean that they had looked in the email. Transfered pictures from my computer to my iphone look great. What is wrong with my pictures? & How can I get them to look good when I save them.
    Thanks,
    E

I'm having this same problem and it has been going on for a couple of months now. Every time I try and save a picture from an email or the internet, it shows up very blurry on my iphone. This even happens from pictures that I saved from emails awhile ago; they used to be clear and sharp, now they are very blurry.
Anyone out there have any ideas about this one??
