Saving Playlists to flash memory----HOW??
I bought a 1G flash memory stick so I could put Audiobooks I've already read on it to get them off of my hard drive. I haven't been able to figure out how to do it. I've gone into Windows Explorer into my Program Files then iTunes, but can't seem to get to the library much less a playlist.
If anyone has a clue how to do this, please help me out!
Cheers,
Susie
Well saving the playlist will only save the list, not the actual files on the PC.
What you need to do is rightclick the song or book in iTUnes and hit "SHow Song File". THis will open Windows Explorer to the exact location of the file. Here you can rightclick the file and hit move, then open the flash and rightclick and hit paste.
Now in iTunes it will show a ! mark because the file is now gone, just rightclick it in iTUnes and hit "Clear" to remove it from iTUnes

How can I use my Zen Xtra like a flash memory
Hello, I want to know how can I use my MP3 player like a flash memory.
I have one and if I conect it with other computers I can't transfer documents and with a flash memory I conect it in all the computers with Windows XP and all of they detect the flash memory and they can transfer documents.
With my Zen Xtra I connect it and the computer detects it but I can't transfer anything because the computer doesn't have the software.
My question is.. Do I have to install the software in all the computers that I use ? or there are other forms to conects PC and MP3 Player? ( I want to transfer documents like text, image, etc)But some MP3 players do that, why this one can't be connected with all the computers ?

How do I make my TV recognize and play video files from USB flash memory?
Flash is on FAT32.
I have tried to play avi, mp4 and mkv files but nothing happens. It looks like flash is empty.
Could you please help me solve this problem.
Thanks!bzunic, have you updated the firmware for your model?.
With my own set, (32RL900A), the instruction manual said that certain buttons on the remote control were "unused", however, after the first firmware update, the previously "unused" buttons were used, (In our case, Time Shift, Record, and so on).
The reason I talk about this is, these features became available after a firmware upgrade, and were not mentioned in the user manual, in our case, and a later download of the instruction manual for our model actually gave the instructions for the use of these features, which were shown as "not available", in the original instruction manual supplied with the TV, but became available after the firmware upgrade.
Let us know how it all works out ............

Is it possible to upgrade my macbook air 13" from 1.86 GHz 128 gb flash and 2GB memory to the 2.13 GHz 256 and 4GB memory, how much would it cost?
About the only thing that "might" be able to do is upgrade the SSD. OWC sells SSD upgrades for that unit. You would have to contact Apple though to verify that no warranty issues would apply when making the upgrade.

Solved!
Go to Solution.Hello!
There are three types of potential memory on a BB: 1) Application Memory, 2) Device Memory, and 3) Media/SD Card Memory
Application Memory -- This is the most crucial; it is the protected (not user accessible), dedicated, and fixed (in size) space that is available as the destination for the installation of applications (plus some application storage, overhead and such). You cannot touch AppMemory. You cannot improve the maximum AppMemory that your BB has. It is what it is. Applications can only install here...there is no option.
Device Memory -- This is space on your BB that you can touch to store files, pictures, media, etc. Typically, it is not terribly large, but it is available to you.
SD/Media Card Memory -- This is what it says...your SD card, for you to store files, media, pictures, etc. It can be as large as your BB OS can support...see this KB:
http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB05461
On some devices/OS levels, you can only see "File Free" (Options > Status), which I think is equivalent to AppMemory. On other devices, you can see all three memory usage levels (Options > Memory). Here are some guidelines to use:
http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15345
http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB14320
http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB14213
Lastly, it is always important to properly close applications when you are done with them. Using the Back or the Red key will not do this -- those leave it to the app to decide what to do...and some will leave themselves resident in memory, consuming resources on your BB, slowing the overall performance. Rather, to close an app, press and select "Close" or "Exit"...that will force the application to be closed, freeing up for your new use the resources it was consuming. Some apps will always remain running (typically -- BBMessenger, Browser, Homescreen, Phone, and Messages)...but, you should still close them properly - especially the Browser...if it is left on an active web page, it will not only consume extra resources but battery power as well.
Further, anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure. Some have taken to doing this on a regular basis as a preventive measure...some as frequently as once per day. Others have obtained the QuickPull app to automate a simulated Batt-Pull.
Best!
Good luck!

How increase flash memory for cisco routers in GNS3?
I have GNS3 simulator and I am trying to increase the flash memory. I've changed the memory in the GNS3 -> R1 -> Configure -> Memories and disks -> PCMCIA disk slot to 124 MiB.
I created a new topology and set the memory. Still it shows the same 8MiB (default).
How to fix it?
RajaHello!!
Can you use routers like 3725 and try to increase the memory in node configuration.
You can change the size of PCMCIA Disk0.
This kind of routers works for me.

How to update the Windows on my bootcamp made flash memory?
Hi,
Previously Bootcamp helped me to make a flash memory that was an automatic Windows installer along with bootcamp drivers, it went well with installation and I was halppy. Until I noticed strange crashes at Windows and as I trust Apple, I thought it was a crappy Windows image.
So I recently purchased a newer Windows 7 image and want to try it out and I have two questions:
1- To prevent downloading 1+ Gb of bootcamp windows driver downloads, how can I make another bootcmap-made Windows installer flash memory with my newer Windows image BUT copy Bootcamp drivers from previous one?
2- How I should install the new Windows over previous one without corrupting Mac partition and other stuff like MBR?
Thanks.Post here:

Is there any tool to check the usage of internal flash of ipad in detail ?Hi,
Is there any tool to check the usage of internal flash of ipad in detail ?
Not memory, but storage space.
Connect your iPad to your computer. Launch iTunes. Select the Summary tab. Storage space available at the bottom of the iTunes page.
iOS devices do not support Flash.

Dears at Mac Support,
I am a Visual Artist, and I use my MacBook Pro for live Visual/Video Mixing and effects. Since I moved to this new club, i need to run all my Videos on HD 1080p Format. I already had the Latest MacBook Pro (2.3GHz i7, 8GB RAM) with the Stock HDD (5,700 RPM), and it performs beautifully, The only issue was Running more than 1 HD 1080p Videos, where you can feel the slowing down of the Videos. The Solution is moving to SSD Drive where I can run 2 or more HD 1080p Videos Simultaneously (Over Layered).
Instead of investing in an SSD, i preferred buying the new MacBook Pro Retina Display (2.6GHz i7,8GB Ram, 512GB Flash memory). Everything about the new MacBook Pro should support my work and give me a better Performance. Unfortunately, I am not able to run ONLY 2 HD 1080 Videos to gather! The result is being Breakdance style video, like it's cutting and continuing the videos. Compared to my Old MacBook Pro (2.3GHz i7, 8GB RAM), on the old one the Video slows Down but does not Leg or Cut
Is there a Solution for this issue? Or i simply did the Most useless investment of my life?
PS: Both Running on OSX 10.7.4, and both are running on the Video Codecs and Visual Performance Software (Modul8 2.6.4)
More Details: Video format is .MOV (Photo JPEG)
If there is any more details you would need, please do let me know.

VJ Mosig

A faster hard drive connection is available through your Thunderbolt port. See what you can connect via Sonnet's adapter:
http://www.sonnettech.com/product/echoexpresscard34thunderbolt.html
An eSATA or Thunderbolt hard drive would probably be at least faster than the internal drive, and an external SSD may be cheaper than an internal for your notebook, and even faster. -
My mac is slow, the movies run slowly, the kernel_task consumes 463,3 MB of memory, how can I fix this?
The problem started a few weeks ago with a small decrease in speed, and the videos now crash while the sound remains normal. When I open the Finder or any file it seems that I'm opening the windows with the hourglass spinning. I've already cleaned temporary, removed everything that was saved on the table, I made up for the mountain lion. I have a Mac 27-inch, 3.06 GHz processor Intel Core 2 Duo, Memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, ATI Radeon HD 4670 256 MB, Software OS X 10.8. With space on the HD.

Depends on how much free space.
Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon on your Desktop.
Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available.
Make sure there's a minimum of 15% free disk space. -
hello, i am trying to download the new ios 8 but my usage says i am using 3.1 gb in messages but i do not have any imessages saved?? anybody know how to fix this.
Given that you are very low in memory on your iPhone, it would be much easier to connect your phone to your computer and download iOS 8.1 via iTunes. Memory won't be an issue this way.

Macbook Pro SATA drive vs Macbook Pro Retina with flash memory?
How fast does the macbook pro with Retina Display and Flash memory work than the macbook pro with SATA hard drive with same configuration?
kent.229,
given those uses — PowerPoint, Word, Safari, photo storage — you could probably keep your existing MacBook Pro, replace its internal disk with a SSD, and purchase an external drive to store your photos, at a fraction of the price of a replacement MacBook Pro. (You should also purchase an additional external drive for use as a Time Machine backup destination, if you’re not already doing so — you wouldn’t want to lose 10,000 photos due to a filesystem glitch.)
