Saving the search results

Question

Hi all,
I have a page with 3 drop down list boxes and a submit button, If user clicks on it then it has to fetch the results from the database and display the results. I have to store the search creteria and the search results for later use of the user. What is the best way to do this?

As soon as the user clicks on the submit button, I'd put the search criteria in a Javabean and put this Javabean in the session. The same goes for the records of the database you've found using the search criteria.
Here's some code to start a new session.
HttpSession session = _request.getSession(true);And here's some code I use to put a Javabean called film inside the session.
HttpSession sessie = _request.getSession(false);
FilmDao filmDao = new FilmDao();
Film film = new Film();
try {
      film = filmDao.zoekFilmOpNummer(filmnummer);
     } catch (Melding melding)
                sessie.setAttribute("melding", melding);
     sessie.setAttribute("film", film);
