Saving Ultrabeat Presets

Hello all, I've been working in Ultrabeat, making a custom kit using sounds from various presets. Problem is that I saved the new preset, but it reverts to the original preset, before I made the changes. Is saving presets something of Logic Pro? I know you can't edit the banks of the EXS24 in Express. Is this also true for Ultrabeat?

Ten, how did you customize the kit? I have looked in the manual etc and cannot find any place where it explains how to do that.
Any help would be huge man. I use it as my drummer and the set kits (downtempo etc) just dont have all the parts I want (different cymbals, cowbell etc)
Thanks

  • Saved user presets in "drummer"

    Hi
a few but not all saved "user presets "have disappeared in the "drummer" folders
    anyone else experienced this??
    thanks

Ans 1 - The User Presets folder is shared across all versions of Lightroom, so there's normally no reason why you would need to do anything after an upgrade.
Ans 2 - Yes, moving from one OS to another means you have a few hurdles to jump. Install Lr3 on your Mac then copy the Catalog and Previews across to the Mac. When you launch Lr3 on the Mac it will create an new default Template/Preset folder named "Lightroom" at /Users/yourname/Library/Application Support/Adobe/ Next, copy the entire Lightroom Template/Preset folder from the PC to the Mac, thus replacing the original. Relaunch Lr3 and the old presets should now be accessible.

  • Import Saved Document Presets from older PS to PS CC 2014

Is there a way to import saved document presets from older versions of Photoshop into Photoshop CC 2014? I have a fair amount of document presets I use almost daily and it'd be a pain to have to enter all of them again to save them.

If you create an action set with just the one action and save the set upload the uploade it to the web and post a link to the .atn file we can download the action and test that on our machines.  You will get feedback from both Mac and PC users. It sound odd that it would work once then fail the second  time. Was Photoshop CC 2014 up before you used bridge menu tools>photoshop>batch the first time or was Photoshop started because you used tools>photoshop>batch.  If is was not up did you try closing PS down before the second batch?

  • Error loading/saving PDF presets

    Error loading/saving pdf presets
I am using CS4 and Windows 7. I have a .joboptions file I want to load in InDesign, but when I try, I get the error message: Cannot create the file. The folder may be write protected.
I am a local administrator on the computer.
I have tried manually copying the .joboptions file into the folder C:\Users\<my profile>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe PDF\Settings, but it doesn’t show up in the list of available presets.
I used the same version of InDesign with Windows XP and was able to load and save presets this way just fine.

Thank for the tip. But unfortunately it is only a partial solution.
When I 'run as administrator' in Windows 7 I have no problems, that is a bit of a solution, but for me it is a mere workaround.
I want to find out how I can load and save PDF export settings without running as Adminstrator, since we have 7 people using the presets and they don't want to run InDesign everytime as an Administrator.
I have all the rights (local admin) to all folders, therefore I was hoping somebody already fixed this in his/her system...
Hope Adobe comes up with some sort of solution for this apperently Windows 7 problem.

  • Saving Effects Presets and the new Mask feature-are masks supposed to be saved?

I'm finding that if I put a new mask on a clip (say a mosaic) and then adjust the mask so it's over someones face, then save a custom preset so I can call up the effect faster when I need it again (ideally just moving the position of the mosaic and perhaps adjusting it's size), the mask IS NOT saved in the preset.  I'm referring to highlighing the MOSASIC filter, then right-clicking SAVE PRESET, giving it a name and having it show up in the EFFECTS panel "Preset" bin.
Is the mask you create in a filter SUPPOSED to be saved as part of that preset you're saving as mine are not.  It does save the MOSAIC filter and any adjustments I've made to the horizontal and vertical blocks, but not the mask itself.  That seems like an oversight.  I find this interesting because if I've COPY  the clip that paste it's attributes to another clip, in that case it DOES take the MASK with it and I can manipualte, but not when saving as a PRESET.
I'm trying to determine if I'm having a problem or if saving the mask you create in the mosaic (or any filter) is supposed to save with a preset or not?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

i have the same issue. i applied a mask to the color corrector (3 way) and when i saved the preset the mask did not save. anyone else? help on this?

  • Apparent Bug in Saving ACR Presets

I was experimenting with some Camera Raw presets for a new camera and discovered that when I saved a preset for the Detail panel, some of the values were omitted.  Specifically, the preset did not save the values for Luminous Detail, Luminous Contrast, and Color Detail from the Noise Reduction section of the Detail Panel.  Shown below is a preset I saved with dummy values to illustrate this problem.  You can see that the three values I mentioned above are missing from the preset.  Would someone please try this on their computer to see if this is indeed a bug or if I have something else going on?
I’m using Camera Raw 6.3 on a 64-bit Windows 7 computer.  Photoshop version is 12.0.3x64, and Bridge is version 4.0.4.2.  If this is an actual bug, maybe someone who has ACR 6.4RC could check to see if it’s still a problem in this newer version.

I got a lot more - including I think the ones you're saying you're missing - when I tried it with 6.3, as shown below.
Did you check all the boxes in the dialog asking you what you wanted to save?

  • Saving Custom Preset "Administrator Error"

    Hello Everyone.
I am trying to save a Custom Preset. I have created a new folder Inside Preset Folder for my custom presets. Also, I have selected the Effect and I click on Create a new Animation Preset. I get this Error message:
You do not have a Permission to save in this folder, contact the Administrator to obtain permission.
    I have Window 8.1
    Thanks.

    Dear Mylenium.
I have tried saving the Preset in any folder, I still get the same Error. I created a custom folder in my presets and I got the error message, If i tried saving it outside the Presets folder After Effects gave me a Warning that
It would be better not to save outside the presets folder. I have Window 8.1.
As far as Permission, I don't know how to change the settings.
    Thanks..
    UPDATED:
I noticed The Error message telling me that Do you want to save it in the Computer/C:/Users/ Username.
and If I say yes, I can save the custom preset into my username folder which is wrong.
I did go back to After Effects, and I created a new movie clip and I Browsed to my username folder and I could attach the custom preset from the user folder into my after effects video.  But I want to be able to save my custom preset in my After Effects Preset folder not In my C:/Username/ User folder
    Thanks.

  • Is it possible to apply a saved adjustment preset to a mask

I am photographing an old photo album that has many badly faded photos. In Aperture I want to be able to apply the same adjustments to the photos on each page without changing the page that they are 'stuck' to.  I can do it with the standard presets but not my saved ones!!  Any ideas?

You could make several duplicates of the image in Aperture, then crop each of those duplicates to the individual photo you want to adjust, then apply your adjustments.
Otherwise, you'll need a program which would allow you to make detailed masks, such as Photoshop or Pixelmator. With one of those programs, you could isolate each image with a mask and individually apply adjustments/filters on each one without affecting the "border" areas.

  • Some settings not saved in Presets file

I'd like to setup my fme environment with preset Xml files
(and with some dirty scripting hacks, we make the app load them
    automatically).
Unfortunately, not all the Device settings are saved. There
is a tuner specific Settings tab whose settings are not saved. So
if I want to change the actual TV channel I have to use the GUI.
Other settings (like crossbar_input) are found in the XML file.
Is there a way to set entries that are not saved by the GUI
directly in the XML presets file and make fme use them?

What you're looking for is startup.xml, which will be in the
application data directory for the current user. On my Vista
machine, the path looks like this:
    Drive:\Users\Admin\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Flash Media
    Encoder\startup.xml
that's where all of the current UI settings are stored. So
you know, startup.xml is UTF-16 encoded and it needs to stay that
way, and (for some reason) there needs to be a blank line at the
    end of the file.
    Hope it helps

  • Photoshop 2014- saving printing presets on a Mac?

I'm running os x Mountain Lion and used to be able to save printing presets when I was printing photos via PS but lately the quality and media settings keep reverting to standard quality and plain paper.  Anybody know how I can keep the presets saved?
    Thanks.

Those print settings are up to the printer driver, not the application.

  • Saving Printing Presets

I was wondering how to save a printing preset. I have set-up the paper handeling and and all the details I would like. I then choose save as and name it.... However when returning to print another document it shows the preset name I saved but none of the items I specified were saved. It always defaults to borderless printing and super high quality. I want it to print fast draft every time.
    Any help?

About PDE, I got a simular problem.
[Printer Plugin]PDE settings can`t be changed to default in Printer Preset menu
I am developing a Mac Plugin PDE driver based on MacOSX sample PDE and I met a strange bug about printer preset.
In printer dialogue, when I swith to my PDE UI, I change some settings(such as jobtype, userid), and then save the settings as a custom preset(clicking [preset] button and select [save as a new preset] in printer dialog).
The custom preset can take affect, but when I switch preset from custom preset to default(standard), the setting in my PDE can`t return to the default state. It is still the custom setting that I just set.
#Other settings except PDE can return their settings to default when swith preset from custom preset to default(standard) setting.
Anybody know the reason? I will be appreciate.

  • Saving brush presets

Sorry if this is a pretty low-level question but… I need help with brush presets in Photoshop CC.
When I switch between brushes, the brush properties (Shape Dynamics/Transfer etc) of the currently selected brush seem to apply themselves to the next brush I select, even when it has not been saved with those presets. So for example when I am working with a custom, soft brush I created – with no 'shape dynamics' but with 'transfer' applied –  when I then switch to another saved brush which has been saved with 'shape dynamics' applied but no 'transfer' applied, it doesn't seem to change the properties. It just applies to the next brush the 'transfer' and 'no shape dynamics' presets of the previous brush. I don't think I encountered this problem when using Photoshop CS4 which I worked with previously.
I would imagine it is something simple, but can someone explain what I need to do so that when I switch between brushes they default back to the presets I applied when I saved them?
    Thanks,
    Alex

Thank you for your response, but in so far as I can see, this video doesn't solve the problem. Someone has actually asked the same question as I in the comments under the video. I tried saving a the brushes as a new preset as shown in the video but it still doesn't switch all the applied settings (shape dynamics, scattering or whatever): when you switch brushes – it seems to apply the setting globally to any brush you select. Very frustrating! Thanks though.

  • PE4 Saving My Presets effects when saving the project

I have created custom effects and saved them in 2 folders within My Presets Effects. I also exported the 2 folders in one ".prfpset" file. After I save the project and exit premiere, and reopen the project, My Presets effects are not present. I have to import the saved ".prfpset" file everytime. Is there a way to keep the My Presets effects as part of the project and/or premiere (just like the standard effects)????

    Steve,
Thanks for your reply. Unforturnately the effects are not available in My Presets folder in any project that I open or create. So I have to import the exported ".prfpset" everytime. From what you are saying, the My Presets folder automatically becomes part of Premiere (and not only a project). Looks like I have a defect in Premiere or did something to unset an option to save.

  • Web module - Upload settings not saved in preset

    Hi,
When creating a new preset in the Web module, the current upload settings are not saved. Which constantly leads to annoying mistakes when updating a site. I'm aware of bug reports that have been filed about this issue and the answer was "as designed". I tend to consider this as a bug.
Could someone explain this very strange design choice?
    Thanks.
