Saving without undo levels?

I think I'm finding that the levels of undo stacking up in some of my GB projects is taking up way more space, with way more levels of undo, than I need it to. Often I reach a point in a project where I decide it's "good enough" to let sit for a while, and if I get around to getting back to it, I certainly don't need piles of old, abortive guitar passes
Saving as archive tends to make things bigger because it saves the loops, while saving as AAC isn't very attractive. Is there a way to save stuff so that it just saves the current displayed loops and audio and stuff without any hidden levels of undo?

Huh, well, I guess then I must be wrong about why some of my projects have gotten (apparently) enormously huge compared to others. I hadn't thought I'd recorded vastly different amounts in different ones ... I'll have to try to check it out.

PSE9 - How to undo Effect without undoing other actions

I've been wondering this for a while, but keep forgetting to post - Sometimes when creating a project, I'll add an "effect," such as a drop shadow, to a layer, but later decide to change it.
How do I undo that effect without undoing all the other actions that i have applied between when I initially applied the drop shadow, and when I decide to change it?
Is there a way to choose "no effect" in the Effects? If not, it would be helpful to have that option in this case.

Well, a layer style is not an effect. If you really mean layer styles (like the drop shadow you mentioned), just go to Layer>Layer Style>Clear Layer Style. That works any time, even after you've saved and closed the file.
Actual effects are actions, and you can only back out of those with the undo commands/undo history. Once you pass the number of history states you're saving, or once you close the image, that's it. No going back.

Production order should not be saved without entering Batch in it

In my PP scenario Batch mangement is active for finish material I want to make Batch entry mandetory for Production order Order should not saved without Batch in it
With the help of ABAP I have made Batch field Mandetory but still order is saving as this batch field is coming in third tab page
is there any configuration in batch management (i have checked in order type ) to make batch entry mandetory

Your post is very strange to me. Is it possible to confirm a production order with a batch-managed (header) material w/o entering a batch number? It would wonder in standard SAP...
Have you activated batch management for your material? And at which level (plant, material, client)?
Or are you speaking about entering a batch no. for your FG in the PrdOrd itself (in CO01 when you create) - it would be a total different issue...

Lightroom 3 Undo Levels and Undo "Locality"

How many "undo" levels are tracked in a Lightroom 3 session?
I know that all edits can be "undone" in the develop module using the history. But when I hit "Ctrl-z" a bunch of times, it does undo a bunch of actions, but it does seem to stop before undoing all actions from that session (as long as there were a bunch of changes done in that session).
Also, the undo funciton follows the sequence of actions of the current session. Is there any way to quickly undo (step-by-step) the sequence of changes to one picture? For example, if I had a session in the past when I did several develop actions to an image, and have a current session where I did more develop actions, how can I sequentially undo all the changes to that image without clicking on each item in the history list? Make sense? I'd like to click on an edited picture, and "Ctrl-z" through the actions done to that picture, regardless of how long ago those actions happened.
It seems a bit weird to me that "undo" will hop around the images and modules in the sequence that you executed those things, as opposed to being able to undo all the actions on a particular image.

Undo will undo the history of gestures in the application. It is arguable whether this is the desired behaviour or not, as I can see arguments for both ways.
Everything related to what you do to an image is in the develop module, in the history panel on the left. The history and snapshot functionality is actually some of the most powerful tools in the Lightroom environment.

Maybe the document is corrupted. Can you open other Pages documents? Preview may open it. Right click (or control click) on the document in Finder and Open With > Preview.
If that works, Edit > Select All, Edit > Copy. Then paste into a blank Pages document. Formatting may be messed up, but you will have editable text. Then Save (with a different name), close and see if you can open the new document.

Can't seem to crop and then save the crop -and- Undo levels

Hi there. I've used Corel Photo-Paint for many years, but now jumping to PSCC. It's much better in many ways, but I'm still trying to find my way around it. One simple thing that I can't seem to figure out is how to crop an image and keep it cropped. What I mean is, I have an open image, then with the Crop tool I crop it to a smaller size. But then when I try to select the (smaller) image to drag onto another open image, it selects the whole original image. I have the box for "delete cropped pixels" checked. The same thing happens if I save the cropped image and then open it again... the full original size of the image is still there, though it only shows the cropped section. What do I need to do differently? It would seem to me that what I'm getting is the effect if I unchecked "delete cropped pixels," but I definitely have that checked.
Also, is there a way to increase the number of Undo levels? I'm only getting one.

I found another thread where someone asked the same question and was answered that if any of the objects in the crop were "smart objects," then the Crop would not work destructively. But in my image, best I can tell, the two layers are NOT smart objects (right-clicking on them gives me the option to make them smart objects). So apparently that is not the answer in this case. Anybody know what's going on? It's probably something simple, but I just can't seem to figure it out.

I have a process chain.A error appears in the log:

Version 'A' of chain R3_SD_ABC01 was saved without checking
The Chain Was Removed From Scheduling
I check the process chain in the RSPC, and the result is : Chain Is OK.
I activate it.
I save it, and an adversitment appears:
Version 'M' of chain R3_SD_ABC01 was saved without checking
Is there some one who know it?

Actually that process chain has been removed from the scheduled.
Goto Change mode.
1. Check (Check View) the process chain once.
2. Save and Activate the Process Chain.
3. Then Schedule (Activate and Schedule) the Process Chain (based on your requirement).

I'm working in illustrator CS6 and I am trying to save my file as PDF. However I can't seem to do it.
I save the file as an ai. file and click the "Create PDF Compatible File" option. Then when I click >save as >and opt for the PDF version and click save the PDF file comes up with no images and just the .....

This is seriously weird: even if you have Create PDF Compatible File unticked you should be able to Save As PDF.
There may be something corrupt, so the list may be worth trying:
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file, and when it is not caused by issues with opening a file from external media, see below. You may have tried/done some of them already; 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save current artwork first, of course.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to at least 5 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible), for CS3 - CC you may find the folder here:

5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);

6) Uninstall (ticking the box to delete the preferences), run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

Did you check whether process chain has moved to quality?
If yes then activate the process chain in quality using 'RSPC_CHAIN_ACTIVATE_REMOTE' function module.
If not then goto RSPC,
-Check the process chain "Check View"
- Save and activate the process chain
Then re-transport.

Undo Levels

Is there a way to change the Undo levels in Pages 09. I searched but could not find a way to change settings.

It seems that we don't understand the question the same way.
My guess is that the OP want to be able to define the level to which he will return when he apply undo.
At this time it's the last action which is undone. I know that some users wish to be able to undo the action which is 4th one (the action before the three last ones).

Sales order is getting saved without entering the material. How to make material entry mandatory in sales order.. so that if i try to save the sales order without entering the material the system should create an error.
Please give a clue, if there is any way other than incompletion log.

Imp.: Create Z-Incompletion Procedure and make necessary changes, instead of changing a Standard one.

Add-ons are optional. I find some of them incredibly useful, but you probably will end up with different ones that suit your needs or interests.
If the add-ons are installed from the Mozilla Add-ons site, then they are checked for updates on a regular basis.
Some add-ons will have bugs or cause conflicts with other add-ons or web sites. You can see the evidence of that on this forum, especially after major upgrades... All that flexibility makes Firefox harder to support, but everyone wants choice. :-)
I should add that much of the web does not work correctly with the Adobe Flash plugin, so maybe that one isn't so optional.

Activity Report download is saved without extension and unreadable

Hello,
The Portal Activity Report iView has a button which enables the user to download the report to his PC.
The problem is that when the user clicks on that button and saves the file it is being saved by this default name: com.sap.portal.activityreport.frontend.DownloadableActivityReport
The main problem is that it is being saved by default without any extension and after saving the user needs to manually add the .xls suffix.
Another problem is that once I open the report with Excel The Object Name column is unreadable.
Is there any way to resolve these issues?

The feature in general of course was supported, but what I cannot say is if it was a known issue that it didn't work correctly. As I dont't use the ActivityReport, I also have no experience if it didn't work at some time and maybe now is working.
The wrong filename I don't expect to be corrected in the meanwhile, as said, that's a problem in some places. So at least for this you could open an OSS message. And maybe combine this with the problematic column issue.
But if upgrading to SP18 would be an option for you, maybe you could first test that.
