Say an iDevice is stolen, the thief wipes and restores and sets it up as his own. will that create one serial number signed onto two apple accounts? is there a way to find that out?

as it says, unless i was some computer hacking genius.....yea right

No. The Apple registration software will not allow to different devices to be registered with same serial number.

The only way would be to restore the phone from a backup made by syncing the phone while this message was still on it.  Note: this would revert all data and settings to those in the backup, not just messages.

  • HT4759 I lost my ipad is there any way to find it out, there is  not icloud/finding track app is installed

I lost my ipad 3. How i can find there is no icloud/finding app is installed in it

    Hey there Muhammad y Khan,
It sounds like your iPad is lost but did not have Find my iPad installed on it and need to know what you can do to help try and find it. I'm sorry to hear that, its a truly frustrating situation. Take a look at the info in the following article about lost or stolen products:
What to do if your iOS device is lost or stolen
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5668
If you did not enable Find My iPhone on your missing device
If you did not enable Find My iPhone before it was lost or stolen, you can't use it to locate or protect your device, but you can still follow these steps:
Change your iCloud password to ensure that no one else can use your device to delete or make changes to your iCloud data.
Report your lost or stolen device to local law enforcement and your wireless carrier. Apple doesn't track or flag lost or stolen products, but you can use My Support Profile (supportprofile.apple.com) to find a list of serial numbers for products that you've purchased or registered with your Apple ID.
    Additional Information
Visit iforgot.apple.com/appleid if you need help remembering your Apple ID.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,
    Sterling

  • HT201263 I forgot my passcode. Is there any way to find it out?

I changed my passcode and I forgot it. Is there any way I can get it back without losing all of my stuff?

No. You have to connect the iPod to your computer and restoe via iTunes. Place the iPod in Recovery mode if necessary to allow the restore.
The screenlock passcode is a good security feature.

Just to be sure: you do mean the ancient, obsolete, well-over-a-decade-old Photoshop 6.x, correct?
If so, make sure that relic runs in a new laptop running a modern OS.

  • HT4759 if i lost my iPhone and i dont have i could account,is there any way to find its location

i lost my iphone i need to know i can find it if idont have an acount in icould

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can only locate your device when it is logged into iCloud and 'Find My Phone' is enabled, additionally the device will need to be switched on and connected to a wifi or cellular network.
Unfortunately, you cannot activate iCloud or 'Find My Phone' remotely.
If the device is wiped by you or another, you may not be able to locate the device (although some have reported they can)

  • Is there any way to find out the dependency information for column of view?

Does Oracle provide some view / table / pl/sql pkgs to find out the dependency information for column of view ?
For example, there are two table mytable1 (col1 varchar2(10), col2 date) & mytable2 (col1 varchar2(10), qty int), and there is one view myView as
    select mytable1.col1, col2, qty from mytable1 inner join mytable2 on mytable1.col1 = mytable2.col
Can I get some information such as myView.col1 is come from mytable1.col, myView.col2 is come from mytable1.col2, myView.qty is come from mytable2.qty
    ?

I can get the information about the columns list in table/view from ALL_TAB_COLUMNS table, but I wish to know the column in the view is come from which original table's column.
Is there any way to find it out from Oracle meta data / through any PL/SQL packages ?

  • HT4623 Updating iPad2 to iOS 7, all my photos in camera rolls are gone, can't locate them anywhere?! Were they just deleted, or is there a way to find them? Did not have iCloud account, so not backed-up there.

Just updated our iPad2 to iOS 7, and all my photos in camera rolls are gone, can't locate them anywhere. Were they just deleted, or is there a way to find them? Did not have iCloud account, so not backed-up there.

We're you backing up to a computer using iTunes? If so, restore the backup from there.

  • How to create a column that automatically creates a serial number?

How can I create a column that creates a serial number for each entry?

you could do something like this:
I assumed that the serial number only needs to be present if you have entered some information in the other columns of the corresponding row.
    A2=IF(COUNTA(2:2)>0, REPT("0", 6−LEN(ROW()−1))&ROW()−1, "")
this is shorthand for... select cell A2, then type (or copy and paste from here) the formula:
    =IF(COUNTA(2:2)>0, REPT("0", 6−LEN(ROW()−1))&ROW()−1, "")
    To fill down:
    select cell A2, copy
select column A by clicking the columne header (the "A" at the very top)
unselect cell A1 by holding the command key while single clicking cell A1
    paste

  • HT5787 What do I do if my iPod was stolen and I checked my support profile and when I entered the serial # I got a message saying it has been registered to another Apple ID? Is there a way to find out that Apple ID so that we can locate the iPod?

What should I do if my iPod has been stolen and when I checked my support profile and entered my serial # and I received a message that the serial # had been registered to another Apple ID account? Is there a way to find out the Apple ID that it was registered to? I have already checked find my iPod and it shows my iPod is offline. I have already filed a police report.

No, sorry, there is no way you can get that information. The police perhaps could, but it would probably require a court order and it's unlikely the police will go to those lengths unless they have reason to believe that this theft was not an isolated instance and hence worth more of their time than the single theft of an iPod.
Even if they got the ID, it may well just be yours. Apple's registration database often contains such errors; I get the same message for some of my devices when I know I registered them to my Apple ID and the devices are all still right here.
    Regards.

  • Hi, my ipad got stolen and i was wondering if there is anyway of finding out the serial number remotely from another apple device?

Hi, my ipad got stolen and i was wondering if there is anyway of finding out the serial number remotely from another apple device?

If it iwas registered to your account then you should be able to get it from your support profile : https://supportprofile.apple.com/
If not then do you have a backup of the iPad on your computer's iTunes ? If you do then in iTunes go into Edit > Preferences (iTunes > Preferences if using a Mac) and on the Devices tab on that hover your mouse pointer over the iPad's backup : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4061

  • Is there a way to find out all the apps that I've deleted on my iPhone? If so how?

Is there a way to find out all the apps that I have deleted on my iPhone ? If so how?
And all so if I have cleared my history on safari but not in the settings is there a way to retrieve the last sites visited? If so how?
    Thanks.

    What is iOS 5 ?
    http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1521
And does my iPhone 4 as that?
    Settings>>General>>About>>Version
    (Used my iTouch as example)
And if it deos how can I see the apps that I've deleted ?
    App Store>>Updates>>Purchased
Scroll through the list of apps that your purchased, and if you remember the apps that you delete, the search will be a lot easier.
If you don't have iOS 5, you can update your iPhone and since you have an iPhone 4, you can only go up to iOS 6.1.3
iOS: How to update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    Hope all this helps.
