Says I don't have enough space

I want to download Infinity blade onto my iPhone while it's 99 cents and I cleared off my phone to where it says I have 1.0 gb free in the about menu. When I go to download infinity blade from the app store it says I dont have enough space. Infinity blade is only about 530 mb. Help please

You'll have to have up to 3x of the size of the app you want to copy during the sync process.
See if you can make some more space, for example by deleting some music or videos, you can add them back after you have installed the big app.

    Hey sameyrs2,
Thanks for the question. Based on what you stated, it seems like you are getting a message when trying to backup to iCloud. I would recommend that you read these articles, they may be helpful in troubleshooting your issue.

  • Trying to download the new Black Ops app and when downloading it says I don't have enough storage space. I made sure I had 1.31 GB of space(like it requires)but it still says I don't have enough space. I even tried to delete more 2.5 GB (I have iPhone 4S)

I was trying to download the new Black Ops (Strike Team) app and when I try to download it, it says I don't have enough storage space. I made sure I had 1.31 GB of space (like it requires) but it still says I don't have enough space. I even tried to delete more 2.5 GB (I have the iPhone 4S) and the app specifically says that is is compatable with iPhone 4S. I even tried rebooting the phone a couple times before downloading, but it still says the same thing.

The app you are trying to download my be a zipped file and more space than 1.3GB.  go to settings/general/usage and delete what you no longer want to make more space

  • ITunes update wiped out my music and apps.  When I got everything back, now it won't sync.  It says I don't have enough space on iPod.  I have more than enough.

I Updated itunes and it wiped out all of my music and apps.  I had over 4500 songs and had to reload.  Some from backup, some from cd's.  Now when I try to sync my IPods and IPad, it says I don't have enough space to sync.  I know I do because I have less now than when I would sync before all of the nice update.

Depending on how you recovered the library iTunes may see the restored files as "new" content and not match them properly with what is already on the device. See Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash for the way I would normally approach the issue. You may need to manually backup and then restore the device in order to fix things.

  • CS4 Installer says I don't have enough space on the drive

Whenever I try to install my CS4 Web Premium, it says I don't have enough space on the drive even though I clearly do. The way I run my partition is I have a dedicated windows drive which is C:\ then I have an E:\ drive that is where all the space is that holds all of my programs and music. I know its complicated but I do it so both Windows and Linux can access my music and videos. Anyway, when I start up the installer it obviously jumps right to the C:\ drive which is almost full. I then switch it to the E:\ drive which has 11GBs free, It says the installation size is 8.8GBs but says I don't have enough space until i take it down to around 800MBs. Please help.
    -Phillip

Steve, that is not the problem, as my post at http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.59b6ef07/10 clearly explains. The installer is broken. And Phillip is experiencing the exact same problem I do. In my case, even with 5.5GB free space on the C: drive the installer will not allow me to install the Master Collection on another drive.

And maybe you don't talk to too many people but I've been on many forums on different websites where people have had similar problems and a lot of people in the store were having battery problems where they were draining too fast. What I learned is that all the people who did not download the updates are good. There phone is working the same. The people who have, they're having battery problems
I have downloaded every update and my battery life is better than any previous iPhone I have ever owned. I see posts from hundreds of people every day, and this is not a commonly reported problem. While there are a few random reports of battery problems, it is no more than I have seen for any other model or any other version of iOS in almost 8 years. Usually problems of rapid battery drain can be traced to bad apps (FaceBook is the worst offender) or corrupt data being synced from iCloud or other sources (gmail, Windows Live, Yahoo, etc).
The simple test is to restore the phone as New. Do not create any email accounts. Do not install any apps. Do not enable FaceTime or iMessage. Do not enable Twitter or any other social networking app. Use it for a day and check the battery usage. You will find that it is working well.
And also see this: http://www.overthought.org/blog/2014/the-ultimate-guide-to-solving-ios-battery-d rain. It is the best treatise I have seen on the subject of battery usage.

    Hey hins,
Since it sounds like you're encountering that alert even after clearing an appropriate amount of space, I'd follow the steps in this article and that should resolve the issue:

  • I have a 13 gig game and i have 16 gig and it says i don't have enough space

i have a 13 gig game and i have 16 gig and it says i don't have enough space

The process needs more than the 3 GB that you have to accomplish the installation. So if you want it to happen, you need to make more space.

  • Says I don't have enough space to install 10.6.7, but I think I do.

I have a 2008 MacBook. I just installed SnowLeopard (10.6.3) in order to use FaceTime. But I have to update to 10.6.7 to use FaceTime. So I installed 10.6.6 so that I could upgrade to 10.6.7. I have 47.84 GB of space on my Mac, but 10.6.7 won't let me install because I don't have enough space for the 1.06 GB it requires. Any thoughts on what to do?

Get Disk Inventory X to see what is hogging up space and consider delelting some stuff.

  • Photos app on mac says I don't have enough space???

I have my old iPhoto library that was migrated to the new Photos app. I tried to turn on "iCloud photo sharing" and it says I don't have enough room on my machine  to store all the pictures... Um, the pictures are already all on my laptop. I'm not going to let iCloud download "optimized" versions of my photos to my own computer and then pray that Apple won't lose my pics on their servers. I'm trying to get them to simply upload to iCloud. Does it actually work by uploading them all iCloud, deleting them from my machine, and then re-downloading them to my machine? Even if it did, which would be silly, I'm already holding the original hi-res version of all of the pics on my computer so if they fit now why wouldn't they later?

Do you have photos in iCloud Photo Library from other devices?   I received the same message, but since I had lots of photos already in iCloud from my iPad and MacBook Air I felt that the problem was having room to download those photos from iCloud to my iMac.  So I did tell it to download the "optimized" versions.  I am not expecting it to change the photos already in my library.

  • Can't download iOS 5 to my old iPhone 4 - I get an error message saying I don't have enough space on my computer, but I know that I do.  How can upload successfully?  Or can I hook up an external hard drive to ENSURE I have enough space? If so, how?

I just tried to download the new iOS 5 software during my sync with iTunes on my computer to my iPhone 4, however, I got an error message saying that I did not have enough space on my computer to continue (even though I am pretty sure I do).  It offered me the choice of deleting much of the media on my iPhone in order to continue, which of course I declined.
How can I ensure that I have enough space on my computer to download the new iOS 5 software?  I don't want to delete anything on my computer and I have already defragged.  Can I just hook up an external hard drive which I am certain has enough space?  If so, how can I ensure that iTunes recognizes the external hard drive as the drive that it should be downloading the software to?
    Thanks

Why, if it told you you have insufficient space on your computer, would it suggest making more space available on your phone?
At a guess, you have insufficient space on your phone. Installing software will typically require more space than the final size of the software, perhaps even twice or three times as much, for the installation process. You can easily dump some videos or music temporarily, and then synch them back in afterwards.

  • Can't update my new mac it says I don't have enough space

I have a vlient with a year old mountain lion all in one desktop mac. Never was able to load the first update because the error that comes back is not enough hard disk space

The tool that works its magic in the space between Physical drives and Logical Volumes is Disk Utility.
Open Disk Utility, select the drive by Hardware-name, and look at its partitions.
Should there be enough space, or did you grab a big chunk of it for something else, like a Windows partition?

  • Bootcamp says I don't have enough space on my startup disc

I was trying to use Bootcamp and in the first step it wants me to install some Windows thing, and when I try and install it, Bootcamp says that I need 10GB of free space on my startup disc.  When I look I have well over 20GB of space.  I am confused on why this problem is happeneing.  Does any know what I can do.

Alternately you could buy a larger external drive and clone your present drive to it. Then you can discard infrequently used apps and files from your original drive to free up space. The cloned external would also serve as an additional start up drive should you ever need one.
Yes but .... put the larger drive (the new external) in your Mac after it's cloned (test the clone first), and use the (previously) internal as external storage. Space on the internal is more important than space on the external.
