Says I'm connected, but can't open a browser- PLEASE HELP!
I set up my Airport Express successfully, I thought, because when I open Internet Connect, it says I'm connected to the internet. But then when I try to open a web browser- Safari or Explorer- the pages don't load. And also, My AirPort never gives me a solid green. It flashes green once as soon as I plug it in, then stays yellow for a while, then flashes yellow (although maybe it's amber- I can't really tell. But I do know that it's not green, or solid, no matter how long I leave it on.) I don't understand what's going on and I'm so frustrated... I know it's probably very basic, but can anyone help me out with this?

Look at the IP address in your Network preference pane under AirPort and TCP/IP. Does the IP address start with 169?

I downloaded the camera raw 8.7 update, but can't open app. Please help!
I've tried this on two different Mac computers. I recently bought the Nikon d750, and am unable to open any raw files with Lightroom 4 or Photoshop CS6. The 8.7 DNG converter available to download through abode is not working. I am going through all of the steps to install, but then nothing. Can't open or find it anywhere. Can someone please help. I am on a deadline!
As mentioned it was not in the applications folder. HOWEVER, I did a broach search on "dng" and found the "Adobe DNG Converter.app"!!! I don't know where it was hiding but moved it my desktop. I was able to convert a folder full of NEFs and import to lightroom. Now everrything is looking pretty good for me hopefully my last couple of posts will help lolapea1:
Recap 1) be sure to load the DNG converter in addition to the camera raw converter
2) Search all folders for Adobe DNG Converter.app and move to where you can find (ie. desktop) -

Upgrading from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion
You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99.
If you sign into the App Store and try to purchase Mountain Lion but the App Store says your computer is not compatible then you may still be able to upgrade to Lion per the following information.
Upgrading to Mountain Lion
To upgrade to Mountain Lion you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase and download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.

After installing icloud, I can't open Photoshop CS, please help. I am an artist and need photoshop to work.
Did you upgrade to Lion just before setting up iCloud? that's more likely to be the issue. PhotoShop CS2 is a PPC program and won't run on Lion - on Snow Leopard it requires Rosetta to emulate PPC, and this is not included in Lion. CS3 and lateer apparently work though with issues.
Click on the program's icon in the Finder and hit command-i. Near the top of the pane it will say 'Kind': if it says 'PowerPC' then this is the problem. It will not run on Lion and there is no workaround. You will need to revert to Snow Leopard (you could install this on an external disk and start up from that). -

It says it is connected on the tabs to the left on blackberry link home page but then to the right it says it is connecting to the device and cannot do it. Please can someone help me!

Connected but can't open webpages
My iPod 4G 8gb is connected to the internet as it says it is connected and shows full bars at the top of the screen but when I click into Safari, it says "Cannot Open Page" and below it says "Safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the internet". I have a strong connection with full bars and the internet on the computer is working fine (which is connected to the wireless router) and so is the internet on the laptop (which is getting a wireless signal from the router). The iPod is new, I only bought it yesterday. *Please help.* Thanks.
I am having the same problem and I have looked at everything. My wifi is using a separate access point, not my router as it is a wired only router. My access point is connected to my router via ethernet.
1. Router: Router is brand new and firmware is up to date. Note: this problem was occurring with an older router as well.
2. Access Point: I have full bars. Windows PC and Blackberry have no problem browsing. I know it's not a signal problem because when I renew lease, I am able to get an IP address and browse successfully.
3. Ipod Touch: I think I have tried almost every setting suing wpa, wpa2, mac filtering, no mac filtering etc.
I'm really at a loss as to why my browsing is so inconsistent. I have had the same problem using an airport express as my AP and I have the same issue using my Trendnet.
On my Ipod Touch, I can be browsing fine, then poof, nothing. If I go into my wireless settings, I have full bars and I have a 192 address, not a 169. As soon as I turn wireless off and back on or click Renew Lease, it works.
So, what gives? I should mention I had some of the same problems on my powerbook and iMac as well. Especially on resuming from sleep. I love my Apple gear but it's really been frustrating with wifi and if I didn't have Ethernet throughout my house, I would be in trouble.

Have got my new ipod touch for xmas and have connected it to my wireless router (the little wifi icon is showing as "on" on the screen) but when i try to connect to safari it says can not find server. I see that lots of people have had this problem but none of the answers I have seen so far work for me.
So, when I click on to the blue triangle next to wifi do I need to go to DHCP, BootIP or Static? There automatically appears an IP address and subnet Mask under DHCP but these are not the same as my pc. Which do I use?

I have an IP address for the wifi but it is not the same one that comes up automatically on the ipod DHCP setting, the one on the ipod is 169.254.1.12, it has a subnet mask setting of 255.255.0.0 and that is all´. My router begins with 192. Can you advise with this? Thanks

Home hub connected but can't open web pages

Having a problem accessing any web pages. Has been like this for last 3 days. All the lights on the BT Home Hub are on and according to the task bar on my laptop it is connected and signal etc is all fine. When you open browser it tries to connect but never loads a page and eventually times out. Have phoned BT broadband help and they say there is nothing wrong with the line. Pretty certain it's not my laptop as my wife's has exactly the same problem and she uses a different browser and has different anti-virus software.
Any suggestions?

I've had the BT Broadband option 1 for at least 3 years now and not had any major problems (lucky me). I decided to go for the new package (TV, Broadband (option 2), & calls package £18 per month - currently on offer) as I wanted to get Sky Sports through BTVision. I'm not allowed Sky or cable TV where I live. The activation date for Broadband option 2 was Monday 7th March and Monday 14th for BTVision. This also included a new router i.e. HomeHub3.
On Sunday the 6th March my internet connection was fine i.e. could open web pages, get email etc (using a BT Voyager Router). On Monday 7th I went on line and was unable to open web pages. I thought it might be a minor problem i.e. back up in an hour.
On Tuesday the 8th March I still had the same problem (Voyger Router) but had also received my new router (BT Home Hub 3). I decided to install the new hub thinking that would resolve the problem but it did not. I then tried a wirless & cable (2 different cables) connection to my PC & XBox and still could get online even though I was "Connected". I phoned the broadband help desk and was on the phone for at least an hour with no success. The help desk agent said it could be a problem with my account and said he would ring me back on Wed at 8pm........guess what? No phone call. I then phoned up again (10pm) & went through all the usual tests.......again! It still didn't work and I was told that it was probably a problem with my PC and they put me through to another department that should be able to help. I was then asked what the problem was (no communication between department then!) I had to go through the whole thing again and was then told that I would have to pay £10 a month (for at least 3 months) for them to do further checks.
Wednesday & Thursday evening I phoned the Broadband help line (same tests again - no notes on my previous calls!) and still no success. I didn't pay for the £10 month service (BT Home help) out of principle and do not know what to do next. -
