Says I've already downloaded but... no.

I'm 10.6 Snow Leopard. Tried downloading Mountain Lion, got taken through some billing info update prompts (I moved and forgot to update the billing info). Try downloading again, wait a bit, start clicking around looking for the progress meter on this 4GB download and... the store's decided I've already downloaded it. I have two pending charges for $19.99 on my credit card, so it knows I've bought it. Actually, now it's decided it's already *installed*, which it most certainly is not. I'm at a loss for how to convince the app store that, no, I haven't downloaded or installed sweet anything. Any ideas before I head into the abyss of official Apple "support"?

Since this has to do with your billing stuff, your best bet is Apple Care which will direct you to the app store hotline.
There, they will be able to assist you. I've found that you won't always get a positive rep, but 90% of the time, I would say, my expereince with apple over the phone was very pleasent and I left very satisfied with the outcome.

You don't say which operating system you have installed?
Assuming it's Windows, right click a blank part of the Windows Taskbar and go to Task Manager. Then click the ''Processes ''tab, find '''firefox.exe''' and then right click it and choose '''End Process'''.

I had the same issue with my apple tv 3rd generation. I rented Sinister and selected the "rent and watch now" option. Half way through the movie I accidentally pressed the menu button. When I looked for the rented movie on my apple tv I could not find it. Not even above the movie pannel where "purchased" and "top movies" comes up on the main menu. the apple tv suggests to go to settings>downloads but I don't have that option. I did go to settings> itunes store> check rentals but that didnt work either. It took too long to even check. Thank you because this SOLUTION worked great.
SOLUTION: How to reset apple tv 3 3rd generation to view rented movies:on the apple tv remote: press and hold "menu" to go to the main menu. Select SETTINGS> GENERAL >RESET >RESET ALL SETTINGS. After the apple tv resets, input all your information again and your rented movies should be visible when you cruise above the "movies" section. THANK YOU!!
Apple needs to solve this issue because honestly it took me 3 hours and a half to watch a movie that only lasted 2 BECAUSE I wast trying to solve the issue, reseting and all. blahh.

There is no common thread for the origin of the songs--many were ripped from CD's, others purchased in the iTunes store. Before I started using iCloud, all music in my iTunes library was on my iPod without any issues.

- Are you saying that they are not listed in your Purchased section?
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
- Are they listed in your Puchases history when you log into your account on your computer?
- Are they still available now for purchase? If not then you are out of luck

How do I download something when it says I've already downloaded it?

I play Mobsters on MySpace, and they recently have implemented a way to buy Favor Points on iTunes. Once the Favor Points are used up, I tried to buy another pack, and it says I've already downloaded it, and would I like to download it again...but doesn't let me buy it. So, when I re-download it, it and run it, it tells me the pack has already been used.
I had deleted it from my iPhone, and from iTunes, thnking that would fix my problem. How can I tell the iTunes Store that I want to buy it again?

My old computer crashed and I had to wipe the hard drive clean. When doing this in the past, I usually just downloaded Itunes and was able to download all of my purchases. However, my songs are in the library, but when I click to play them, a message that reads "Unable to find file, click here to relink." Well, they aren't on my drive and when I go to 'Purchased' or to check for available downloads, it says I have already downloaded them. Has anyone else had this problem?

Use the form on this page to request a free redownload. If it doesn't work, you will need to purchase the songs and other content again to get them back; Apple needs to pay the copyright holders for each download from the iTunes Store other than podcasts and album artwork.

You are on Windows 2000, you do not have a "Firefox" button, and should consider yourself to be fortunate in that you still have menus and don't have to do anything to get the menus back instead of the "Firefox" button. (The same applies to Windows XP users).
Use the "File" menu to get to Import. You are not on Windows 7 or Vista, and don't have to put up with the nonsense added for Aero.
If you want the "Firefox" button you can get it with View -> toolbars -> (uncheck) Menu Bar. The menu bar and the "Firefox" button were supposed to be mutually exclusive (which is impossible in some cases without being incompatible).
Once you are using the "Firefox" button ...
Use the "Alt" key to view the menu bar (temporarily) containing File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, and Help. On Windows 7 and Vista, the menu bar was hidden by default in Firefox 4 and above. These menu items are more or less available under the "Firefox" button which has the most used of the built-in Firefox menu items available in a different format.
To get back to having menus again. "Firefox" button -> Options (second column) -> (check) Menu Bar

If you're not sure where some of the content you see in iTunes is stored, iTunes will also show you what it knows about your media in the Get Info window.
Select an item in iTunes and choose File > Get Info.
You can right-click on the 'Where' to get the option to Show in Finder (Mac OS X) or Show in Windows Explorer (Windows).
