Says installer update is needed
I have the new leopard operating system on my MacBook Pro. I just purchased an older Apple Airport system. When I put the installer CD into my computer it says cannot install on this machine - installer update is needed. Does this mean the airport CD I have is outdated for my operating system? How can I fix this? Thanks

On your Mac, you will find an "Airport Utility" already installed in the Applications -> Utilities folder. The Airport Utility will configure all versions of the Airport Extreme Base Station as well as the Airport Express.
If you have an old Snow or Graphite Base Station, you need to use the Airport Admin Utility v4.2. Installing it on your Mac is a bit of a chore - see this recent discussion for instructions:

A 1G iPod Touch cannot be upgraded past iOS 3.1.3. So if an app you have downloaded in iTunes requires a later version of iOS than 3.1.3, I'm afraid you won't be able to sync or use that app on your device unless you upgrade to a newer device that supports a later version of iOS.

Actually, you cannot download Snow Leopard. You downloaded a Snow Leopard updater. -
My iPad says I don't need an update when I do.What's up?
My iPad is crashing constantly. It says I don't need an update even though it is older - 5.1.1. I can't find a way to upload a newer version to see if that's the issue. Diagnostics at crash is telling me it's low on memory. Any suggestions as to the issue? The fix?
If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 6.1.3. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.

You cannot. Copy everything you want form the old computer to the new one, then sync it.
it basically says you have to erase your iphone to sync to a new itunes!
Correct Iphone will sync, or manually manage, with one and only one computer/library at a time. Syncing, or manually managing, to another will indeed erase the current content. -
After the update to Android 5.0.1 on my Galaxy Note 4, my Galaxy Gear S will not install apps, I get an error message that says "Installation Failed. Try Later. (WO:WO:-1002). I am glad it was a free app I was trying to install (I tried a couple of different ones to see if it was just a bad app and they all failed on the install. The Note 4 and the Gear S seem to be communicating okay via bluetooth (health stuff syncs, Gear S controls the music player on the note 4 Etc. )
Everything that I had installed previously on the gear S still works.
Everthing while in the gear manager seems to be working okay also. I can make changes in the Gear manager on the note 4 and they show up on the gear S. I have an app called watch styler , it let me create a new watch on the Note 4 and that showed up on the Gear S.
The only thing that seems to be not working is installing new apps.
When trying to get a new app it looks like it is working as normal , the dowload shows it is working but it errors out when it goes to install it.

i just upgraded my iphone 3gs to ios 6 not sure if it updated but now when i turn on my phone it says automatically that i need to connect it to itunes using the USB port but when i connect it it comes up as new hardware and cannot find a program/software for my device even though i have the latest itunes on my computer. i have tried reinstalling itunes but it still cannot find my phone and now i cannot use my phone as it is stuck on the sync to itunes screen

Trying to update my software (iPhone and iPad) it says my iTunes software needs to be updated, but it is already is. I try this over and over again. I've already reinstalled iTunes and have shut down and restarted my Mac several times. How can I fix this?

i have a new imac with imovie 11 however my everio hd camcorder will only work with imovie 8 or 9. i tried to download imovie 9 but my mac says i don't need the update. How can i download imovie 8 or 9 complete not the update?
I really appreciate all your help. Today I spent some time on the problem. First I purchased any video converter from the ap store and then I connected the camera to the mac with the original usb cable that came with the camera. I turned on the camera and selected backup on pc and the logo came up on my home page. I opened it and after several attempts i found the 3 video files that were on the camera. I then converted them from a tod file to mp4 and then transfered them to imovie. Now I have to figure out how to send the video to youtube or move it to an external hard drive which I have not been able to do. So far I am not too fond of imovie 11. If you could send me the download for imovie 6 I then could try that route. When talking to apple support yesterday about the problem they suggested to get Final Cut Express. I am trying to update my billing detail on my IPAD2. However it keep on saying that the country need at least 3 characters long. But the country field is a dropdown list with Malaysia's states all with 2 characters long only! I can't make any purchase now because I can't verify the billing detail because it just doesn't work! I tried to open my iphoto last night on my iMAC and it somehow updated on it's own and now has a message saying "The photo library needs to be upgraded to work with this version of iPhoto. Your photo library will not be readable by previous versions of iPhoto after the upgrade.The upgrade process for very large libraries may take an hour or more to complete." I only have the option to quit or upgrade. What does this mean? Have i lost my pictures? i don't properly have my back up hard drive set up so all my pictures aren't backed up.

After your iPhoto application got updated to a new version, iPhoto will convert the iPhoto library to a new format, that is used by the new version. The warning tells you, that after this upgrade older iPhoto versions will no longer be able to read the iPhoto library. If you have a second Mac with older software that might be important. Make a backup to be on the safe side and let iPhoto upgrade the library.
