Thank You !

HI aevbelgium,
I didn't see it on the support page either. What you may have to do is go to your start menu and then to printers and devices. Click on add a printer then add a local printer. Then you may be able to click on the existing port and see if your print drivers come up on that screen to install.
Let us know if you are able to find it there.
If I helped you at all it would be great if you clicked the blue kudos star!
If I solved your post please mark it as solved to help others.
I'm a printer tech with HP.

  • Driver Vista for zen mi

Excused I I am one of that he has installed and bought Seen Windows in order to improve my PC, but unfortunately instead improving are found again to me with my Micro unusable Zen that is x do not succeed to find i driver to make to work it. I would appreciate to more soon being able to use it with I affixed to it driver Seen to you. You contact to me if fairies the driver.

Shoot. That's bad. So there is really no way of recording music to it. I've heard that IPod's got a new supporter, that enabels voice recording and has 2 jacks in it, for the headphone and the other for mic-in, which probably can also be used as a Line-In.
The reason I am so interested in Line-In is that I have a MD player which can record music from any device, but the problem with it is that since it is not the Net MD version so there is really no way of transmitting audio files from the MD to PC.
Plus I still can not trust in Zen-Micro's built in Mic quality. No matter how high they rate it, the built in mic can never do better than external mic's that can be connected to the recorder separately.

  • Can I just plug in my PC formatted Hard Drives (Vista) to my new MacBook Pro?

I am a new Macbook Pro owner.  Have existing PC (Vista OS) workstation and Macbook Pro with Mountain Lion OS.  All my photos are on PC formatted external hard drives.  I have Adobe Lightroom loaded on both PC and MAC and would like to access the PC formatted external hard drive from either PC or MAC.
Do I need to download any special application to allow my MacbookPro to connect, read, and write to these drives?  (I haven't tried to plug them in yet - afraid to damage them)
Do I need to reformat my external drives to a Mac format to make them run better?
thanks in advance for the help.
    Jon

What's done is done and your probably full(ish) drives in NTFS format will remain as they are. When you add a new one to the collection, might want to investigate formatting it in ExFAT format instead. OS X will happily write on it as will Windoze. And you have the advantage over the ancient Fat32 format that you can create and store files over 4GB in size safely and without data corruption.

  • Mac Pro with Apple Raid Card - 1 drive OSX (JBOD) + 1 drive Vista?

Can anyone walk me through what I'd need to do to set up an early 2008 model Mac Pro with the Apple Raid Card pre-installed and 2 500 gig drives, so that I can have OSX on the first drive and Vista on the second?
I know it defeats the purpose of the raid card, but...
What I've done so far is:
    1. Removed drive #2
    2. Install and using Raid Utility, add the first drive as a JBOD set/volume
    3. After install, shut down the machine
    4. Re-add drive #2
    5. Restart
    6. Use disk utility to add drive #2
I tried to use bootcamp, but it only wants to put windows on the first drive - which won't work because it is RAID.

Run Vista off an ATA interface in the 2nd optical drive. There is an SATA 2 ATA adapter.
I think you can boot Vista off some RAID controllers, check out Highpoint RocketRAIDs. Should be able to configure the RR.
Boot Vista off USB is a stretch.

  • No sound on s3644uk desktop after loading sp2 and latest nvidea 9300ge driver vista 64bit

    Hi,
On start up screen went to large font and there was no sound.Went to device manager to find error code 43(windows has stopped this device working).System restore would not work.I then restored to factory condition.Problem still exists.
Tried installing nvidea ge9300 driven from hp for my pc and also via the pc.Problem still exists. This then became a intermittant problem.Worked sometimes  on start up(both sound asnd graphics).Latest fix was downloading latest driver from nvidea website and running microsoft updates .Now up to date with sp2.Graphics seem ok now but there is still no sound.I have run the hp diagnostic tool for video card which shows passed. But then shows code uc316-25w.I have also run a realtek ac97 update through microsoft updates.Run realtec audio test through hp diagnostics which failed code sc316-20w.Can anyone help please

    Hello Peter
The video card in your computer is not integrated into the motherboard; instead it takes up a PCI Express x16 1.0 slot. You may want to try a new power supply first as this could be related to the power supply no longer supplying ample power to the video card for it to work at its full capacity, but also keep the following things in mind when looking for a new video card:
    1. Make sure the card is a low profile card and that it has a low profile bracket. This makes sure the card will have clearance in the slimline case.
    2. Make sure the card is compatible. What you will want to see is that the card is meant for a PCI E x16 slot. The card can be PCI 1.0 through 3.0 compatible and should still run in the PCI E x16 1.0 slot. (Note: PCI E x1, x4, and x8 card can fit and run in the x16 so this opens up more possibles, however, there are quite a few low profile x16 cards out and those tend to be better. PCI SIG that creates the PCI E specifications purposely makes PCI E slots compatible with software and mechanical interfaces.) Source: PCI SIG
    3. Make sure you have a strong enough power supply. Your computer has a 160Watt power supply. Also some video cards require additional power connected from newer power supplies. Some of my suggests below suggest having a minimum 300-400 Watt power supply. If you need to upgrade your power supply make sure it has a 24 pin or 20+4 pin motherboard power connector, Sata power, and molex power connectors. Lastly keep in mind the physical size of the power supply it looks like your power supply is a Mini ITX form factor. Also if you live outside the US make sure that there is a switch on the power supply to change voltage.
    Some possible suggestions:
nVidia: GeForce GT 610, GeForce GT 520, or GeForce 8400 GS shouldn't require a new power supply (probably the most similar to your current card).
ATI/AMD: Radeon HD 6450, Radeon HD 6570, or Radeon HD 6670.
Don't forgot to say thanks by giving "Kudos" to those that help solve your problems.

I have Vista Home Premium 64 bit installed with no issues. When I hit the turbo button it doesn't freeze. Turbo button lights up & I assume
it's working but I never really run anything in turbo mode.

  • Vista SP1 and the Sigma Tel driver issue

I've done a fair bit of reading about why Vista SP1 does not show up for some people in Windows Update and for me its almost certainly down to the Sigma Tel audio drivers on my MacBook Pro (Feb 2006).
N.B. I have installed the latest BootCamp 2.1 32bit update and this did not change anything. Also I should mention this is a clean Vista install and I have not used a pre release version of SP1 either.
Apparently Sigma Tel sold off their audio division and is therefore no longer updating the software drivers. Microsoft have said they plan to address this driver incompatibility with their own update at some point. This was the response another user received from MS tech support:
"Kindly wait for further updates from microsoft which addresses the sigma audio driver compatibilty issues with service pack1."
OK, so they understand and are looking into it, but it also seems like it would be down to the new SigmaTel owners to solve - IDT posted this statement, which suggest they think there is no need to update their drivers:
    http://www.idt.com/?app=knowledgebase&contentID=4836&parentID=4836&parentPath=12 10-3638-3639-4836
I have tried 'Resolution B' from that link, but after removing the Sigma Tel audio driver, Vista SP1 still did not show up in Windows Update and I don't want to force install (via the download link) if Vista is not happy with my setup.
Does anyone have the definitive answer to this situation? It looks like I just need to wait a little longer, but I just wanted to check I've not missed something important.
    Thanks

    Hi Mark
Firstly, at the risk of being patronising, use winclone to image your BC partition. It works brilliantly.
Secondly, I have a late 2006 MBP (2.33GHz) with Vista on BC and running Fusion. MS Update did not offer the SP1 upgrade so I used the standalone installer. The sound works perfectly but I have found that there is a nasty bug in the video driver (X1600), which causes an immediate reboot if you try to adjust the screen brightness. It works fine so long as you don't touch the F1 and F2 keys. I used the BC systray app to asign the F keys to MS software rather than Mac hardware to avoid inadvertently tripping this fault.
If you don't mind this nasty little funny lurking on your system then SP1 is worth installing. For example Safari on Vista opens much quicker than on OS X 10.5.2
Vista SP1 works perfectly in Fusion.

    Hi
I think youve got an Intel Lan card and this Vista Lan driver could be installed automatically using the Vista update function.
So it maybe you could establish the internet connection using the WLan and then you could run the Vista updates.
    Good luck buddy

  • AUDIODG.EXE hogging 80-100% of CPU and sound not working in Vista . . .

I posted this on a Microsoft Answers Forum but none of the techs or people reading have been able to help so far.  I'm dying to get to the bottom of this:
    Here is my computer:
    MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum
    AMD Athlon 64 3000+
    2GB RAM
    XFX GEFORCE 6600 GT 128MB DDR3 DUAL DVI & TV OUT (PCI-E)
    200GB WD SATA HDD
500GB WD HDD in external enclosure via USB2
NEC ND-3520A 16X DVD±RW Dual Layer DVD Burner
    LG CD Burner
I've been using Vista Home Premium successfully for some time.  Recently, not too long after I did a clean wipe of my OS, my audio would stop working.  The way it would happen is that everything would work fine until I started iTunes or another audio application and when I would hit play, things would lock up.
Upon inspection of my system resources, I'm noticing that the audio platform for Vista, via the audiodg.exe, is using close to 100% of my CPU resources, even when the computer is making no sound at all.
I've had a Sound Blaster Live! card in my computer for some time but I was not using it; I use the Realtek AC'97 audio drivers that are on my motherboard instead.  I thought that the conflict may be the computer wanting to recognize my Sound Blaster, so I took it out of my computer but the problem seems to be worse.
Are there any BIOS setting that need to be adjusted for my sound to start working again?
I'm very reliant on the audio processing power of my computer (I'm in the radio industry, part-time) and this is a huge drag on my productivity.
Any tips would be much appreciated.
    REPLY #1:
Thank you for using Microsoft Answers forum.  I suggest going to the manufacture of your sound card and download the latest drivers and install them.
    MY RESPONSE:
Good suggestion.  The problem is this:
I am running on-board audio.  I have an MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum motherboard which runs "Realtek ALC Series AC97 Audio Driver" and there is no version for Vista. They have a version for Windows 2K/XP and one for Windows XP 64bit.
Should I use on of those and if not, then what?
    UPDATE (from me):
I took a chance and found a Realtek AC'97 driver for Vista.
    http://drivers.softpedia.com/progDownload/Realtek-AC-97-Audio-Codec-Driver-Vista-6183-Beta-Download-18114.html
I went to install it and the install hung.  So, I closed one of the install windows and then the InstallShield app continued like it was working.  So, I hit "Restart my computer".  Well, the reboot hung too.  So, I reset the PC manually.
When the computer came back up, the sound worked.  Hard to tell if this will fix it for good but it's promising.  Chaotic.  Unpredictable.  Annoying.
    REPLY #2:
Before you tried updating drivers, did you try rebooting 1st?
I'm just trying to determine if rebooting your system is what resolved the issue - thank you
    UPDATE II (from me):
My computer is behaving the same way it was before.  AUDIODG.EXE taking up 80-100% of my CPU and the sound not working.
    Any other ideas?

Small update: Despite my intelligence, good looks and vast experience I use Google sometimes. To my surprise this file turns out to be a Windows one. Here is someone who is much happier, and since it is some way in my line of thinking I'll quote it, but you might take my previous advice as well:
    http://forums.techarena.in/windows-vista-performance/1012315.htm
"- Open up msconfig.exe > Manage startup programs.
    - Disable ALL Realtek entries
    - Close msconfig.exe
    - Right-click on the speaker icon > Audio devices > Speakers (properties)
    - Go to the enhancements tab
    - Check the box to disable all audio enhancements
    - Close the menu
    - Right-click on the speaker icon > Recording devices
    - Disable all your microphones (yeah..., the actual problem seems to come
    from voice inputs rendering..)
    - Close the menu
    - Restart your computer"

  • Itunes crashes on Windows Vista

Two months ago i've posted a question that could be solved by an update with the nforce/nvidea driver. But even after updating this driver vista still crashes (a blue screen with "page fault in nonpaged area 0x0000050) while syncing with my ipod video. My hp notebook tx1120us with nforce driver version 5.47a and Itunes 7.2.0.34. If someone could help me.... thanks

okay. try downloading fresh definitions and running vigorous virus and spyware scans too. (0x50s can be produced by malware.) if your security software providers offer them, try running "online" scans too. (they can sometimes pick up an infection even if the software on the PC has been compromised.)

  • Advanced Format Hard Drive not recognized by HP DV6000 Controller

    Hello,
I have an HP DV 6000 laptop (6276 I think, I'm at work can't check) that came preinstalled with a Western Digital 160gb 1.5gb/s 5400 RPM drive (Vista) that failed a couple of weeks ago.  So i bought a Western Digital 750 GB WD Black SATA III 7200 RPM 16 MB drive to replace it. I read about people having some problems with Advanced Drive Format hard drives not being recognized by their controller, but also read that depending on the controller and specific Dv6000 model laptop they had-one wouldn't run into problems.
Well sure enough, when attempting to install Windows 7 I received the error that the hard drive was not detected. After researching online I came across an article on WD's site that noted
"Our SATA II hard drives use autospeed negotiation. This enables our SATA II drives to automatically detect the motherboard data transfer rate, making it backward compatible with SATA I data transfer rates. However, some older SATA I controllers are unable to support autospeed negotiation and cannot recognize the drive. This “drive not detected” condition occurs when a chipset is incapable of correctly negotiating the data transfer speed with a SATA II hard drive."
my drive is a SATA ||| but I'm pretty sure it's the same problem.  The site goes on to say a fix would be to  "purchase and install a third party PCI or PCI-Express Second Generation Serial ATA controller card for your Serial ATA hard drive(s)."
    My question(s) are.
1)Is the problem that I am trying to install a Sata ||| hard drive on a laptop with a controller that will only recognize SATA | hard drive?
    2) Or is the problem that the hard drive is an Advanced Drive Formatted hard drive and I need to buy a hard drive with out that specification?
    3) Or Should I buy a SATA controller card as WD suggests on their website and if so will this definitely allow my laptop's controller to recognize the new hard drive and proceed with the installation?
4)Or Should I just return the hard drive and buy a SATA | non Advanced Drive Format hard drive? (question 2 basically)
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi @jasmine00
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.
I certainly understand your issue with the drive upgrade. Unfortunately it is a bit of the nature of notebooks, the sacrifice of a large amount of upgradeability, in exchange for compactness and portability. Whenever a new technology comes out, older notebooks are never really going to be easy to upgrade, it at all. Normally the unit as a whole is tested with a set list of hardware, and only those items are supported.
That being said there is this document that could be helpful with your problem.

  • External Hard Drive says its Read Only and wont allow any changes

My IQ505a has an external USB drive attached which is an Western Digital 3200JS USB External Disc Drive and for some reason I am unable to make any changes to data on the drive because the system has apparently marked the whole drive as "Read Only".
I have set my account to that of an Administrator and belong to the Administrators Group with all of the usual permissions except that I am unable to unset the Read Only marking on this drive.
I have also attempted to logon and make these changes with the Administrator Account but to no avail.
This problem is only with the External Drive and not the onboard drive.
Any help would be most appreciated ith this frustrating problem.
