SB Arena resets to 100%

Hey all,
I'm thinking that my headset's volume control has gone bad as it never used to do this. Everything seems fine until I pick up the headset. Then the volume goes to 100% but what's more is that it acts like I'm holding down the volume up. If I move the slider down it goes right back up before my eyes. If I try to mute it, it immediately un mutes and it affects other apps like I found that I couldn't close one a window or my IM all of a sudden wouldn't send when I hit enter twice. Weird right?
So I go to the volume control and try to press volume down. Nothing. However, when I hit them both at the same time? Voila all is fixed...as long as I'm holding both like that.
I'd already gone through updating drivers and so I'm left with this. If the volume up is getting stuck it would explain the behavior I'm seeing. This only occurs when the headset is plugged in btw and only affects the headset volume not the speaker volume.
I looked for a way to just disable the volume control but couldn't find any. I'm going to try bringing it to another computer and see if it's doing it there as well. But has anyone had this problem before? Perhaps I have the wrong idea on what's happening? It only started doing this recently too.
They're not that old but I moved and I may have throw the box away. Been looking for it but I don't see it.
I'm running Windows 7 64-bit if that helps.

Hi,
As per my research there is no any way to set the volume to specific percent. By design whenever Administrator\User will logoff and log back in it will reset to Full volume (100%). There is one similar thread as of your case, please have a look at it over
here.
Hope it helps!
Thanks.

  • Employee Percentage getting reset to 100

    Hi,
I am supporting work schedule change form from technical side. When user changes the schedule to anything other than 80 or 100, for eg. 75, then eventhough program passes 75 to backend it is reset to 100.
Any thought why this must be happening? Where can I check for any configuration (I am a developer so do not know much about config.)
    Thanks in advance.
    Jitendra

    Hi,
There was an issue in the Form. Form was developed to change the percentage but did not include Hours in the calculation. I defined an additional field "hours' in form scenario and did populate that field in enhancement badi and it started working.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Volume too loud. Mixer always resets to 100%.

    Using:
    Windows 7 64bit.
    Firefox 19.0.2
    Flash Version 11,6,602,180
My volume in flash defaults to almost horrifying levels. In the mixer I tone it down but every time I close firefox it resets itself back to 100%. When I go into flash settings there does not appear to be a volume slider anywhere. The only thing I can see is a mic slider.
The easy answer would be to turn my system volume down but for my computers multiple uses it is impossible to find a "happy medium". Each of my programs has seperate settings except for Adobe Flash Player which I cannot seem to find or get to work in the mixer. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Bump, still not fixed.

  • New magic mouse and new rechargeable batteries aren't at %100....

Hi, my new rechargeable batteries and charger aren't showing that my batteries are anywhere near %100 powered. I've let the batteries charge overnight and when replacing them in both the mouse and the keyboard they've shown at max 75% battery level. What's up with that?
Also, this is the battery kit from Apple.

that's completly normal because rechargables don't work the same way as batteries do. 75% is a good value in my experience.
besides that, you might also notice that the % jump around a little and that the last 20% or so drain very fast

  • AI (cs3) Placed link resized - how to reset to 100%

    Hi there.
I have a problem with linked files size, which can be solved by deleting and then linking again the same file back. But, doing this in document with 20 links....
Ok, lets describe the issue: I am making a paper sack (bag) label containing many linked elements (due to requirements to perform an single change "at source" for all labels). It seems like several of linked files have been resized (I don't recall doing any scaling myself) down to, say, 98,56% - I can see this by double click on the link in "links" panel. This small change makes all the difference when exporting label to b/w bitmap, but that is a different story.
Now, a have tried all the options in "links" panel and on right-click contents menu on the linked document, but there is no place to rescale the object back to 100%. I can reset the bounding box, change the "placement options", but info still shows the same %. I can manually drag the corner of the bounding box until I guess the size but that is no good and slow. Or try to guess the scale, say 102% to this 98,56% but that is bad also.
    Am I missing something here?
Is there a way to perform this quickly?

I have managed to do it if anyone else get the same problem -
Link phone to iTunes. Hold power button for 3 seconds, home and power for 10 seconds, release power but hold the home button a few more seconds - that puts the phone into recovery mode. Restore from iTunes :-)
    Phew!!!
Good luck to anyone else trying it.

  • My system sound volume resets to 100%  at shut down.  Why? And how can I fix it? Tried PRAM

Just in the past few days my iMac has decided it needs to reset its system sound volume to 100#% every time I shut it down, so it can blast me off my chair when I start it up next.  No amount of adjusting the volume, from system prefs or menu bar will keep it where I want it.  Tried resetting PRAM and system manager.  Nothing.  It just will not hold the volume setting.
Has anyone got any ideas for fixing this?
I'm using Lion - it isn't on the choice list of OSs.

Well gee thanks Baltwo, but I don't need instruction in the use of drop-down menus.  Had my OS been listed when i hit the drop-down, I'd surely have hit on my OS had it been there.
But it wasn't, you see..  Why? I don't know.  Perhaps the display problem I've benn having with my iMac since last August.  The display problem that the geniuses at my local Apple store can't fix because they can't decide if my machine needs a new  Vcard or not.  But they can sure keep my computer for a week playing with it and charging me for  it.
Sorry, but I'm tired of zero help from Apple with issues and irrelevant rsponses to my requests for help.

  • Scale won't reset to 100 percent in print window

How do I get the scale to change and remain at the selected setting in the print window?
On one of our User accounts it is stuck at 300%.
I can change it for one printing but when the print window is opened again the scale reverts to 300%.
On all other User accounts it is at 100%.
    Thanks, Danty

I discovered how to solve the problem.
There is a reset option for the printing system in Systems Preferences.
I followed the steps and after re-choosing the printer I wanted as the default the scale reverted to 100%.
And -- I was able to restrict the reset to just the one User Account that was having trouble with scale.
All the other User Accounts remained unaffected with all the printing preferences and settings unchanged.

  • My sweet stable Imac7,1 + new Macbook Air Beachballs, needs SMC Resets, Browser 100 CPU...ideas?

    Hi Everyone,
Imac7,1 10.5 patched fully (OS / Security / Java /Flash ) has been working like a system should for the past few years. No reboots needed. Always on. I basically use it to watch video, play audio, nothing CPU intensive. I was Internet Connection Sharing to one netbook, but as of last week added a new Macbook Air OS X 10.7.
If not that night after buying the Air, or the day after... The Imac beachballs permanently if I'm playing video files or using the internet, and the only way to get it back is an SMC reset. Anything other than an SMC reset just gets me to the prelogin wheel spin.
I've turned off Internet Connection Sharing, switched users, ran Disk Repair (only permissions on some java folders needed fixing), tried Safe Mode, looked in the logs for obvious things, but no luck yet.
Finally got around to watching the Activity Monitor when Firefox was playing back some Flash video and I actually saw the CPU above 100. Killing the process saved me from doing another reset
Any ideas what I should try? OS upgrade? Flash downgrade?
Is there anyway to prevent applications from using that much CPU and automatically shutting it down when it does?
Also curious if verbose logins, without the SMC reset, would give me any information...
    Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks Appleworld.

    Hello,
See if the Disk is issuing any S.M.A.R.T errors in Disk Utility...
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=DiskUtility/10.5/en/duh1896.html
Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities, select All Processes & sort on CPU%, any indications there?
How much RAM & free space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
In the Memory tab, are there a lot of Pageouts?

  • IOS crash, screen distortion after impact, reset then 100% working?

Hey guys, something really odd happened today. I dropped my iPhone 4S running 6.1.2, and it hit the ground from about 1.5 meters high. At first I was just thankful none of the glass broke, but when I looked at the screen it had this orange haze to it, it was pixelated like an overcompressed JPG and it had all these white black and grey vertical lines running through it. I was certain the display had kicked the bucket, but then it faded to black, and reboot to the Apple logo. After a few minutes it started up again, and everything was 100% normal. No issues with the display, no weird idiosyncrasies with the software. I'm completely at a loss for what could have possibly happened. Anyone have any ideas?

hey...was trying to be a gentleman and let a lady through the door while holding the phone in the same hand I was holding the phone in...the 4S decided it can fly and *BAM* splat on the floor.judging by the sound I thought "dang, there goes the screen", but the screen didn't crack so though "phew-happy days" and went ahead and pressed the button and well.... distorted colours of all kind of lines, unreadable, but still was able to answer a call. Unlucky, this has not restored to it's original state by itself and the fact I got the phone second hand from my mate there is no warranty so let this be a lesson to all you guys out there- manners don't pay lol...

  • E71 self reset - firmware 100.07.76

Hi all, my e71 resets itself from time to time during use either as USB modem or with Nokia Maps. Any one has experienced this? Cheers, YJH

    Howdy,
I would recommend making a backup of your data and then try formatting the phone using *#7370# to see if that would help the software from rebooting.

  • Images are always magnified and not showing at 100% zoom level

    http://s7.postimg.org/oy0gq3x8b/chrome_firefox.png
    http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
left side is Chrome rendering; right side is Firefox
Notice the 3 images, all rendered zoomed in by Firefox.
No matter what I set in Preferences, what plugin I tried, i can't reset to 100% zoom.

    Hello,
Firefox on Windows is now following display scaling options which may render text larger on high resolution displays.
You can adjust your screen resolution.
To modify it do the following:
    * Type '''about:config''' into the Firefox address bar and tap on the Enter key.
    * If the warning '''This might void your warranty''' appears, click '''I'll be careful, I promise'''.
    * Search for '''layout.css.devPixelsPerPx'''
    * Double-click on layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to modify its value. The default is -1.0 in Firefox 22 and above. Change it to '''1.0''' to make it work like in previous Firefox versions.
If necessary, further adjust the value in 0.1 or 0.05 steps. Use values between 1.0 and about 0.5 to reduce elements in size. Use values greater than 1.0 to increase size. For example, a value of 1.25 will increase font size to 125% to accommodate the default DPI setting in Windows 8. '''Double check the value that you enter.''' Setting a too small value will make everything disappear and a too large value will blow things up.
If web pages still need to be adjusted then you can look at the [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/default-fullzoom-level/ Default FullZoom Level] or [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/nosquint/ NoSquint] extension.
To adjust the font size for the user interface, you can use the [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/theme-font-size-changer/ Theme Font & Size Changer] extension.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
    Thank you.

  • Network speed 100Full resets to 100Half

Hello folks! I have a MBA manually connected to an Enterprise network at 100-full duplex. The user complained of long download/upload file transfer times to a network server. I found that the machine network settings reset to 100-half duplex. When I changed it back to Full, file transfer speed was greatly improved (worked normally).
Now the user has called and said after logging in this morning, his MBA is back to 100-half.
Two considerations: 1) he often unhooks his network cable (to attend various meetings) without logging out of his account. 2) he uses a third-party USB adapter (Belkin?) to be able to connect an external mouse and network cable to the one available USB port on the MBA.
I am recommending to him that he not use the third-party adapter - to just use the Apple-supplied USB-to-Ethernet connector, and to log out of his account before removing his network connection.
Am I on the right path here, or can you see any other potential problems/solutions?

Not exactly answering your question but it sounds like the network switch is forced to 100/full instead of auto/auto. Whenever that happens the client comes up with 100/half. Can you change the switch?

  • Programmatically reset IE zoom level

I have a web page that I display in a kiosk setting using a touch screen.  Viewers, often use the multi-touch "pinch" feature to zoom in on images, then walk away, leaving the page zoomed in.  Is there any way through css, javascript,
vbscript, etc. to make this system reset to 100% zoom level periodically or whenever the page is reloaded (I have it auto-refresh every two hours)

    Hi,
Based on your description, I would like to share the link below with you:
New Internet Explorer windows do not respect reset zoom level when using script
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2741211/en-us
Meanwhile, I would suggest you to post the same question in Microsoft MSDN IE Development Forums for further assistance as Rob mentioned.
As IE development forum focuses on questions about web development including HTML, CSS and Script for Internet Explorer, your issue can be fixed efficiently.

  • Resets for new fuser and transfer units

We have an HP laserjet 4500N on which I changed the transfer unit, the fuser and the drum. After I turned the printer back on, it showed only the drum life to have been reset to 100%, the fuser and transfer units stayed at the 54% and 35% values that were on before the change.  I tried to go to the Resets Menu to reset these two values to 100% but the only options I get are Reset Memory or Reset Factory Settings.  How can I do correct this?
    Thanks

If anyone else is having this issue I found this info on another site:

  • Revert/Reset placed document/image to original size?

In InDesign CS4 or CS5, can you revert/reset a placed document/image back to the origional size it was when it was origionaly placed?

Do you know what size it was when placed?
The only way I can find to be able to reset a frame to the size it was when it was created is to set the preference for "When Scaling:" to "Adjust Scaling Percentage" and then resetting to 100% will take you back to the correct size, but not necessarily the original position as this is just another transformation, not a reversion to anything. The BIG downside to this setting, in my opinion, is that if you scale a text frame, the listed font size won't change, nor will stroke weights be listed correctly on scaled objects, which can lead to a lot of head scratching.
