SB Audigy Audio Softwa

I have a gateway computer, but I don't have any software.
Like I don't have any programs to change my sound settings.
Where do I get the software?
I wanna use my headphones, but I have no options anywhere to choose to use a headphone setting.
Please help!
Thank you.

If the card came with the computer, have you tried asking Gateway for the software? If you added the card, the software should have come with it. If you bought a retail boxed version, you go to Creative to get the missing software. If you bought an "oem" version (a so-called "grey market" card), it should have come with a software CD but that is the responsibility of the seller, so if it's missing you should ask the seller why you didn't get one.

  • Problems with audigy 4 softw

    hi ^^
i have a problem with the software of my audigy 4 pro
the programs don?t start because of a strange error:
"Das von dieser Anwendung unterst?tzte Audioger?t wurde nicht gefunden."
    in english:
"The audio device supported by this application was not found."
    what causes this problem?
    what can i do?

An installation error causes this problem which in the first instance is addressed by ensuring that you have disabled the onboard audio. If this does not work in the second instance you will need to uninstall the card as follows:
/ Uninstall software and drivers either, through control panel or the installation CD
2/ Move the card to PCI slot 3 (if not already there)
3/ Manually remove registry entries as follows:
. Delete the files from "\Creative".
    2. Delete the following registry node from the registry
    (a) HKLM\Software\Creative Tech\Software Installed
    (b) HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uni nstall\5CDDF96A- BC34-4D72-9ABA-EFFF0C39977
4/ Reinstal the software and drivers.
In the third instance we wait to see first.

I cannot find drivers for my SB sound card, i've tryed every driver on the download page and they all say 'Setup could not detect any sound blaster audio card on your system, please ensure you SB hardware is properly installed'

Try going to the Audigy control panel and make sure the effects settings are turned off as well as the advanced controls for the Windows volume control. If that doesn't fix it then you may need a new sound board.

  • Audigy Audio Extention Connec

    Hi, its me again!:smileytongue:
In Audigy 2 card, you know that Audio Extension connector?
Anyone knows which pin(s) are for headphones?
reason: i had on board sound and the pc case has "font pannel earphone jacks-which i connected to motherboard".
But now with Audigy2, my earphones would not reach all the way to the back of the pc.
ALthough I mostly use my 5. speakers, sometimes i wanna use earphones...but .trouble unplugging and plugging everytime i want to do this....2.earphone too short for this...
So, if anyone knew which pins were for earphone I could hook up the pc case connector there....no? yes?
    Lauren,
thank you in advance for your help!

  • Audigy audio card with

Hi,For a project we have a requirement to check presence of audio and validate with appropriate reference provided. Is audigy 2 or audigy 4 provides any sdk to satisfy these needs ?. Please let me know about this.

I doubt there are a spesific SDK for Audigy or any other model available. There is a program called CTHelper.exe installed/running, which purpose is to aid 3rd party developers create plugins/software for the card but, can you find a SDK for it ....
You should contact Creative directly on this matter of yours.
kX Project drivers do have a SDK for their SB drivers.

  • SB Audigy Audio B

hi,?I've bought my computer a few years ago from someone and there was a sound cart with it. A week ago I bought a Zalman ZM-RS6F+M headset. http://www.zalman.co.kr/eng/product/...dx=34&code=023. It's a headset with 5. sound. I plugged my headset in the . I can hear left and right, but I'm not sure if I hear front and rear. I don't know where I have to plug in. The?inputs on my card?have a different color then the ones of my Zalman headset. The inputs of the sound card are left, right etc. But the plug-ins of my headset are front, rear and center. And there is another thing i don't know. I don't know if I should change the speaker settings in my audio console. I changed them in windows, but do i have to change that in de audio console too? Should?I click on Synchronize with Microsoft Windows Control Panel? If someone can?help me with my settings and stuff so I can listen 5. sound with my headset, please.

According to what I see here.
    http://www.zalman.co.kr/product/audio/theatre6_0.html
The audio cable from your headset is as follow:
    Front->Light Gray color
    Rear->Dark Gray color
    Center->Black color
Assuming you're using the old Audigy soundcard, so the front audio cable from the headset should go to Line_Out(LIN_OUT) from the soundcard, rear to Line_Out2(LIN_OUT2) and Center to Digital Out jack. If you're unsure of the jack description on the soundcard, you can download the manual guide from the link below.

  • Sb Audigy Audio [B800] problem

I have bought an Inspire GD580 5. with an external Dolby Digital/DTS decoder box for my computer (and my playstation 2). When I plugged it to my computer I noticed that the only sound that was coming out was from the left and the right speaker and nothing else. I have read the online manual which states that I have to enable the AC3 encoder box located in the Surround Mixer under the speaker settings in order for the card to let the signal pass through the card in order to allow my external Decoder box to decode the signal. But when I followed what it said I found the AC3 encoder box knoware to be found! PLease help me.

    Eddy,
Which drivers are you running on the system now? It may be that the location has moved if you are using newer drivers. If you are running the new EAX 4.0 drivers, you can change the decoder setting from a program call CTpanel.exe. It is usually found in this location (with the newest drivers installed): c:\program files\creative\sb audigy\program\wdm\common and the file in there (I also added it to my desktop later as I love this config program). There should be a decoder tab that will allow you to disable the onboard decoder for SPDIF bypass. If you don't have this I would suggest installing the updated drivers (first the Audigy Web Drivers and then the EAX 4.0 update).

  • Win XP finds no audio device after installing Audigy 2

After installing Audigy 2 ZS, my Windows XP could no longer identify an audio device. Under Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices, clicking on the Audio tab, there is no Default Device for playback or whatsoever.
However, under the Hardware tab, Audigy 2 ZS is visible and seems to work fine. The only suspicious part I caught is that when I check for Properties of Audigy 2 ZS and go down to check Properties of Creative Audigy Audio Processor (WDM), the status shows "The di'ver is enabled but has not been started." I have no idea how this can be fixed.
The integrated sound card is turned off in the BIOS.
I've tried all possible ways to install, uninstall, install..., but just couldn't get XP to work properly. Any other possible solutions out there?
    Many thanks!

Solved after reinstalling Win XP. Wasted too much time on trying other possible solutions.
Hope other people may learn something out of it.

  • Midi/audio sync prob after sblive to audigy 2zs upgrade

Have posted the following earlier today in Soundblaster forum - then thought it may be better off here.....
Hi all - have just had to quickly buy new soundcard as main line-out on sblive gave up the ghost, after years of no probs. Bought Audigy 2zs, as thought this would not be too much of a shock for ageing AMDk6 450mhz running Win98se. (Am waiting for new pc music system.) Installed Audigy, using 1xm1n's excellent set-up guide, and thought everything was ok. However, when running sequencer, the midi tracks are fine, while the audio slowly goes out of sync. Can anybody explain what's happening? Would not normally panic, and wait for new pc, but have a deadline to finish project for the Barmy Army !!
Seriously thinking of reinstalling sblive, and using the rear line-outs to monitor on - but line-in & mic will then not work. Also was hoping the Audigy ASIO drivers would let me do the final mix in Cubase.
Did I mention the odd crackle & pop....? .....Aaaaaaargh!!
    Regards.

    Jason,
Yes I tried pulling card. What has happened.
. Card was "re-found" by windows for no reason which started the problems.
    2. I deleted driver in control panel, shutdown and pulled card, rebooted again with no card.
    3. Put the card back and rebooted again and at that point it showed as Audigy ZS, although it did not look like all functionality was there as before.
    4. So I installed the new January 06 drivers. Seemed to go okay.
    5. Upon reboot, came up as Creative Audigy Audio Processor" again. However things "worked" for a while. The mixer came up, etc.
    6. Seemed to be working, then stopped working (no sound)....and upon a reboot, was re-found again and was using old generic drivers from 2003. And was no longer called a ZS.
    7. EDIT: Important, in the "sound and audio" devices in control panel, it is listed as an EMU0k (or some such designation) which I understand may mean the card has gone bad.
    8. The network fiber connection also periodically came up as yellow exclamation mark or working based on what was going on above.
It appears that these problems may be symptoms the card is going bad based on some other posts I found? Something about a scrambled EPROM? I do have a new unused Audigy ZS card I can try.
What is the best approach to put in another ZS. Delete the driver, shutdown, pull the card and put the new one in? And of course plug in the breakout box to it. Will it "find" the new January 06 drivers upon install or will I have to re-install those again on this new card. I know it is the same card but I assume the ID will be different.
If I need to re-install the drivers, do I just re-run the install or do I need to run CTZAP etc. first? I already have all the applications loaded off the original CD and would prefer not to have to do all that again...
    Thanks again,
    BJB

  • Audigy(1) Platinum PCI Not Detected By Installation CD In New Desk

Hello, I just updated to a new computer and pulled my Audigy Platinum SB0090 (with the front dri've panel) out of my old system and installed it in my new systemell E52 (AMD dual core)Windows XP SP23GB memory?) I disabled the onboard sound in the BIOS.2) Installed the Audigy Sound PCI card and dri've panel.3) Upon boot, Windows XP installs the Firewire and Gameport automatically. I tell it "no" when it prompts my to install audio device drivers.4) I try to install the current Audigy Platinum drivers from here, SBAX_WBUP2_LB_2_09_006, but it tells me no Audigy is detected and won't install.5)?I try to install the drivers from my original installation CD (PN: 220ML0003067) and am also?told that my?Audigy is not detected.6) The new PC has two PCI slots, 3 and 4. is PCIe6, 2 is PCIe. I've tried both PCI slots to no avail. The BIOS shows an audio device in whatever slot it is in. Partial Solution:7)? I went ahead a told Windows XP to search for drivers and it'sdid find?them on the original installation CD and installed them. I now have basic operations, but no dri've panel access. However, both installers above still cannot detect the Audigy. In Device Manager I now show:- Sound, video and game controllers-- Audio Codecs-- Creative Audigy Audio Processor (WDM)-- Creative Gameport-- Legacy Audio Drivers-- Legacy Video Capture Devices-- Media Control Devices-- Video Codecs? All of the above devices are working properly. Apparently I will not be able to easily get these installers to work. Is there a way I can manually?install the drivers neccessary to get current and full functionality of my Audigy and front dri've panel? Thanks

This would be wonderful but, the older firmware makes the USB Sound Blaster Audigy 2 NX, unresponsi've in -+ 5 minutes.
All Programs are unresponsi've after 5 minutes, if I unplug the USB Sound Blaster Audigy 2 NX my programs start to respond again. Resetting the firmware to factory default (v..05050), I get no problems, except that the USB Sound Blaster Audigy 2 NX response on a USB 2.0 port as if it'ss plug-in on a USB . Port.
I don?t have any problems with any other USB 2.0 hardware! They all work fine and I DON?T get any error telling me I would get High speed if the hardware was plug into a USB 2.0 plug. BECAUSE IT IS A USB 2.0 PORT!
The problem lies in the with in the firmware.
Would you please update the firmware.
In Creative Device Control the USB Connection Speed box.
    Your device is Connected at:
Is grey, I can't set any thing. Why not?
    Suggestion One:
    For technical Personal only!
The drivers Creative releases are based on the Extigy.
If I look at the drivers you write for the PCI range (Audigy, Audigy 2 and Audigy 4 Series) they are better.
The Sound Blaster USB Range, Especially the Audigy Range can do so much more with the right drivers.
I suggested, you create a driver for the USB Composite Device. That emulates a PCI slot. This would allow the External Sound Blaster USB range to install your new and very advance PCI drivers.
    Folder structure:
    Drivers
    -support
    ?????-amd64
    ?????-i386
    ???-wdm
    ?????-common
    ???????-amd64
    ???????-i386
    ?????????-thunk
    ?????-Lang
    ???????-amd64
    ???????-i386
    ?????-win2k_xp
    ???????-amd64
    ???????-data
    ???????-i386
    Example:
    By adding in wdma_emu.inf
    [Creative]
    ; EMU0K chip (SBLi've!, APS)
    %EMU0K.DeviceDesc%=EMU0K_Device,PCI\VEN_02&DEV_000 2&CC_04000
    ; USB range (SBLi've!, APS)
    %USB.DeviceDesc%=USB_Device,PCI\VEN_02&DEVXXXXXXXX XXXXX
Adding in the Data folder, a data file for the USB Sound Blasters Audigy 2 NX would be ctp0300w.dat this tells the drivers which kind of features the SB0300 has.
It should detect if it'ss a Creative EMU0K Audio Processor (WDM)
or Creative Audigy Audio Processor (WDM)
If this is not possible at the very most I would like the following software to work with USB Sound Blaster range.
    Audio Console
    AudioHQ
    CtPanel.exe
    EAX Editor
    Speaker Calibrator?
THX Setup Console (This is only software rendering, not limited to selected devices works fine on my Sound Blaster Li've! Value, CT4832)
CTASIO(ASIO 2.0 or .0, The Sound Blaster Audigy 2 NX Support ASIO, You just didn?t include it in the drivers)
In EAX Console under Effects tab.
    There is only a Environment
I?m sure that the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 NX can support.
    - Environment
    - Advanced EQ
    -Special FX
    -Custom
    -Studio
    -Karoake
Again you based it on the old Extigy drivers it'ss the hardware is not limited!
In Surround Sound Mixer under the Advance Button there should be a Balance/Fade window. Again there is no such window because you base it on the Extigy.
In Speakers Settings under Speaker Selection You should add the marker for Synchronize with Control Panel. (This is only a Drivers limitation)
The New PCI Drivers add branding in Microsoft Volume Control and in Sound and Audio Device Properties.
Can you add Branding for the Sound Blaster USB.
    In
    Sound and Audio Devices Properties
    Volume (Tab)
    Speaker Settings (Window)
    Speaker Volume? (Button)
If you click on the Speaker Volume? button. It should give you the option to set Channel to Channel 8, currently there are only Channel and Channel 2
    Sound and Audio Devices Properties
    Volume (Tab)
    Speaker Settings (Window)
    Advance? (Button)
    Effects (Tab)
    Effects: (Drop down)
Is Empty there is only None. Can you please all of the EAX Advanced HD Effects
To conclude would you please improve the Sound Blaster USB Driver! Or just create a new range driver for the Sound Blaster USB!
    Yours truly,
    Horst Johan Kaiser

How can u see the firmware?on this card? ?I wanna know which date my firmware has on my Elite Pro and if it is the latest one?But Creative seems not to give answers to this (read about it from another person who asked this)

  • Audigy 2 ZS Platinum won't work with Windows XP Pro 64

My system has both normal Windows XP Pro & Windows XP pro 64bit installed.
The problems is that I can't get any sound on WinXp 64. The device manager has given me a "Code 39" on the "Creative Audigy Audio Processor (WDM)" device. This hasen't happened to all the other devices attached to the card. WinXP 32 has no problems in loading the drivers or playing sounds.

  • SB Audigy 4 Driver Probl

At least, I *think* it's a driver problem. Let me start from the beginning.
Just about every other time I start up my PC, my SB Audigy 4 (Retail) runs into a problem. That is, the nice Exclamation Point shows up, and it doesn't see it as a SB Audigy 4, but rather a "Multimedia Audio Controller" (MAC for short). So I uninstall the MAC, reboot (note, at reboot, it shows it as a Creative Soundblaster Audigy Audio Processor, still with the yellow exclamation point next to it, and still with (CODE 0) attached, and install the SBAX_WEBUP_LB_2_08_0004.exe drivers. (Why, oh why does it only come in EXE format? What happened to the Good old days of .inf files?)
    Pic Follows:
    http://www.sglider.net/images/Audigy4uninstalled.JPG
I install, and everything goes well. I reboot, and my Sound drivers are there, so I can play my favorite games. But, the next time I reboot my PC, I'll have lost my Sound Drivers again --- though it doesn't happen every time, but I can't go more than 2 reboots without it happening again.
I'm really getting tired of reinstalling these drivers on every boot up. Does anyone have the skinny?
    My system details follow:
AMD Athlon XP 3000+ (333mhz Barton)
Soyo KT400 Dragon Ultra Mobo (Via chipset - Newest Hyperion Drivers installed) - Motherboard updated.
    Ati Radeon X850XT AGP
    SB Audigy 4
    2 GIG PC2700 DDR SDRAM
Microsoft Windows XP Professional w/SP2 and all updates.
Thank you for your patience, and your assistance.

Thanks for that tip, that may make it so I don't have to do stupid things to get it to see the driver.
Next step though is to find a way to keep the Driver from mysteriously uninstalling or borking itself so I don't have to keep reinstalling it. Any ideas?

The problem i am having is installing the software for the card. When ever i click on the exe all it says is no soundblaster has been found on your computer. I am a IT guy for a phone company so i am not a noob when it comes to computers. This is the first exe i have ever clicked on and got errors over and over. After reading the forums with people that have the same problem why havnt creative put the software installs on there website so we can dl them since were having issues. I have tried all the steps on the forums and creatives tech support. If you can post the software standalone along with your updates it would be much appreciated. I get sound now utilizing my z680 speakers to there full potential. If any one can help me it would be appreciated thx.
