My PC using Intel D95GAV M/B, 3.2GHz with XpSP2. On-board sound ok. Recently installed SB Audigy Value card. It is working perfectly. But with that card I can't use any modem function, any time if I dial or connecting to Internet or Outlook my PC gets re-boots. I already disabled on-board audio. different PCI slot tried. Then I replaced the Audigy card. Replaced the Modem. Audigy Value card tried with another 3 PCs. all are facing the same problem.
Please Help me!

Unfortunately if you read the release notes for the Vista compatible driver it tells you not to use it on your particular sound card ;(?http://us.creative.com/support/downl...rtype=&x=2&y=7?Notes:

  • New Audigy Value card completely nonfunctional in windows server 2

    Hi all,
I just bought a new Creative Audigy Value card for use in a windows server 2008 system that will control the electronic school bells system in the academy I work at. It's desperately important that we get a sound working on this server so that the bells can ring again.
Anyway, so here's the problem - the sound card, once installed, says that it is installed properly (i've used x64 vista drivers .0077 and .0065A from creative's website, installed and reinstalled several times) but in the vista system tray, it just shows the speaker with the X on it. When you click "go to mixer" it says "there are no audio devices installed."
In the audio properties, you can see the icon for the "sound blaster audigy", but although you can SEE the buttons for "configure" and "test" - clicking on them yields nothing at all.
I'm really at my wit's end here. The school needs its bell system, which this server plays through it's sound card. What can i do to get this sound card working like it's supposed to be? any ideas?

Yes, well, the box in the store had a sticker on it that said it was compatible with Windows Vista 64bit and 32bit, so I assumed that a 64bit server would be fine for it, but perhaps my assumption was incorrect.
At least if you tell me, that you're 00% sure that this card is not compatible with Server 2008, I will be able to move on and look for something else and use this card for a workstation instead.
As for the first commenter - thanks, but yeah I had already made sure that both the audio service and audio endpoint driver were automatically starting up with the server, so that's not the issue.
So, Mr/Ms Creative Moderator - I checked the page and it does not specifically mention Server 2008, just Vista. Can you let me know for sure that this card is not compatible? If you can tell me no, at least I can write it off as a stupid mistake. If you tell me that it should work though, I feel like I will have to keep trying to force this one to work.
    Thanks!

  • Audigy value Card: Getting it to work prope

I recently purchased a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Value (24-bit) card and am trying to install it on my system. The card does get installed but the sound comes in only one speaker, the other one remains as dead as a wooden log. I checked the speakers on my laptop and they work just fine.
Currently I have a two-speaker set so is that an issue?
I've tried installing the driver from the CD that came with the device and also using Windows Update, the result is the same, sound comes only from one speaker.
Is the installation so complex for everyone or is it just me?

I think you're best choice is to work within your school's
administration to resolve 'why' it's blocked. That's the right
    thing.

  • SB Audigy 2 ZS Conflict with Unreal Tournamen

Hi there, I've been able to determine that my SB Audigy 2 ZS card is creating some sort of conflict with Unreal Tournament 3.When I disable the soundcard in the device manager, the game will load. Otherwise, the game will not load. I've downloaded the latest drivers for the sound card and video card, and have tried reinstalling UT3. I suppose, your sound card is sharing an IRQ with your USB controller.
Try moving your mouse into another USB port(s). If this don't help, you can re-install your sound card into another PCI slot (see on your motherboard manual how IRQ's are assigned for PCI slots). PCI slot 3 or 4 (count from AGP) are normally less shared.
You can check your IRQ sharing situation from device manager - device manager -> View:resources by type -> interrupt requests (IRQ)).
You can also disable controllers/devices on device manager (right_mouse_click the item you want to disable(/enable) and select disable(/enable). Do this only if selected controller/device is not needed and it is sharing an IRQ with controller/device you need.
    this so far...

  • PCI USB2 Controller card conflicts with network card

I've installed a PCI USB2 controller card since my motherboard (IWill K266-R) only has support for USB1. However, the card seems to conflict with one of my network cards, because traffic on the internet-connected NIC is very slow, and often drops completely. Traffic to and from the other (local) NIC seems to work fine, though.
I have tried moving around all three cards in different PCI slots, I think I've tested almost every possible combination by now. I've also tried disabling as much as possible in BIOS, such as onboard sound, serial and parallel ports etc. I've tried lowering the FSB.
For now, I've removed the controller card, and is using the USB1 ports on the motherboard instead. This is very frustrating, though.
Does anyone have any suggestion on what I can try next? I've browsed forums, both this and others, but I haven't found any more hints on what to try. Could there be some setting in Arch that could affect these sorts of things?

"I guess the ATA100 card will work fine correct?"
If you mean large drive support, it may provide that or may require a firmware update to do so. You should check the manufacturer's web site for specifics. All ATA-133 cards do provide 48-bit LBA for large drive support. I'd return the Ultra ATA-66 card to the eBay seller, although many refuse to pay for return shipping, even when the mistake is their own, either through ignorance or deliberate misrepresentation. In cases such as this, it's sometimes more cost-effective to swallow the loss and keep the incorrect part.
"Will adding a jumper apply for a ATA100 card as well? I'll need a blue and gray ribbon correct?"
If you use an 80-conductor ribbon cable with color-keyed connectors, set the drive configuration jumper to CS and connect the drives to the cable as you wish (in terms of physical placement in the computer). If the ribbon cable doesn't have color-keyed connectors, set the jumper for the device connected to the end connector as Master and the drive (if any) connected to the middle connector as Slave.

  • Usb portable sound card conflict with a game called rise of lege

can anyone help me with a conflict issue i have with my usb sound card and the game of rise of legends

    Great Question!
To know the answer to this question you usually have to be knowledgeable with multiple series of ATI, Intel, AMD & NVIDIA graphics cards & CPUs but I have a couple ideas for you to save time.
The first is to visit PassMark Software, there they have almost all desktop/notebook graphics cards & CPUs benchmarked in an easy to read graph with higher meaning better. When you have the chart up just do a find on the page and put in 4800+ for the CPU or X1800 for the graphics card depending on which chart you have up. That will you your line on minimum specs you will take on a machine. I think you will be happy with the results! =)
Second, if you already have the machine in front of you go to the Game-O-Meter website and run its diagnostic, after it has given you a baseline just pick one of the hundreds of games available in their list to see if yours is qualified or not. Not only will this give you your answer for Singularity but any others you might have been wondering about.
    Hope this helps!

  • Help needed with Audigy Value! Please he

I just bought the sound blaster audigy value sound card so after disabling the onboard sound, i installed the card and the softwares and drivers. What happened was that the speakers were only making sounds from the woofer and the front center speaker, the other 4 speakers were transmitting no noise at all. I checked the device manager to see if the audigy value card was to be shown as working properly, and it was.
In a state of I-should-find-something-on-the-net-to-help-me state, I downloaded the new official drivers from this creative website, opened it but a message appeared that "it has not detected any audigy hardware". (there's sound but only from the woofer and the center speaker).
I have a creative 5. inspire 5200 series. Do you guys think there's a problem with my sound card, my speakers or the configurations of the cables or some driver thing.
Any help will be appreciated and thanked.

    Have you
    - connected cables properly?
    - set speakers to 5. (on speaker settings panel)?
    - disabled/enabled CMSS
    ---- (see http://forums.creative.com/creativelabs/board/message?board.id=soundblaster&message.id=2563)
    - set audio HW acceleration (Windows Audio settings)?
    - tried to install drivers by these instructions?

  • SB Audigy OEM and Vista with SP

I've just purchased the Audigy OEM with the external SPDIF connection. I have plugged this in to my amp (Marantz 9200) and can get sound using Vista Media Centre and DTS or Dolby sound ok. I'm unable to play any music however via the SPDIF connector. Does anybody know a fix for this? Will music play via media player via optical/coax, or do you have to connect the single pin to stereo output? Thanks in advance.

  • SB Audigy Value Windows XP applications All functions includin What U Hear working Proper

I have SB Audigy Value Card (SE/LS/ Li've 24 bit)Windows Vista 32 bit SP Classic Windows XP applications, Creative EAX SettingsCreative Graphic EqualizerCreative Speaker SettingsDevice Control And XP Drivers 5.2..54 Driver Date: 3.06.2007 Digitally Signed All the settings including "What u Hear" function work flawlessly under 4. system. (I didn't try 5./7. but I think it should work) I just mixed the applications from old and new driver packages and tricked the set-up program to install the XP drivers instead. I'm not a sound expert but I'm much more satisfied with tihs driver especially while listenig to music. I didn't try it with any games so I don't know. Download Link:http://rapidshare.com/files/9395098/...e0077.exe.html All the files included in this package are Creative's property.

I've spent ages searching the forums and can find other people who have experienced the problem but have yet found a fix. They've also explained the problem better so I'll try and make this a little clearer also.
When using Ventrillo first people can hear me fine in Ventrillo but an awful sound (described as the sound of 000 demons) in Counter Strike.<
When using CS first people can hear me fine in Counter Strike but the screeching sound is heard in Ventrillo.<

I have disabled onboard sound, tried a few different pci slots, used the latest creative drivers, updated chipset drivers...everything!!!! Device manager is showing the card and everything seems ok ie. drivers are installed, no exclamation marks, etc?Can someone pleeeeease offer some more advice on what I can try

I just tried this card on my other pc and it seems to work fine. But I need it in my other pc. Can anyone suggest what to try now??

  • Audigy Value and Digital Out probl

    I read the faq.
I have the Audigy Value card with the digital I/O mini-jack. I tried using a standard optical cable with an adapter mini-jack "cap" to pop on one end to plug into the sound card, and the other end into my digital in on my stereo. I still can't get any sound, is there some setting I am missing.
I pop in my Hercules sound card that has a normal type optical out and everything works fine without me messing with it, so I know it isn't the stereo input.

  • Audigy Value questi

I'm thinking of purchasing an Audigy Value card, but I'm concerned about the driver support.
Are the drivers on the disk the only drivers you can use? Are there newer drivers (2005.. ) that can be used?
And does it support EAX 2.0 ?
I've reached the point where my onboard audio just isn't good enough, only the Audigy Value and SB! Li've 24-bit are in my price range, what should I be looking for?
As I am in Australia I cannot use such sites as NewEgg and my selection is limited.

Unfortunately I'm talking about the '...Sound Blaster Audigy Value .. 7.' not the Audigy2 Value
Link to the creative page :http://asia.creative.com/products/pr...duct=489&nav=0There's no useful information and it's pretty much blank. The specifications page tells me nothing. The 2005 beta drivers don't say it supports the 'Audigy Value' card.

  • No sound with Flash 11.3 - Sound card conflict?

After updating to Flash 11.3 (11.3.300.257) on a Dell desktop on April 10 there was no sound in Firefox, Chrome or Safari.  There was sound in Internet Explorer (IE9).  I think I have determined that the source of my sound problems was some kind of conflict between Flash 11.3, my sound card and the three browsers above. My sound card is a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE.
If audio was output through the Dell's built-in sound there was sound with Flash 11.3.  If audio was output through the sound card there was no sound with Flash 11.3.
I also have an HP notebook computer (no sound card; HP says current notebooks use built-in sound) running Windows 7 (64). I downloaded Flash 11.3 from: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ on April 16 and have sound on Firefox, IE9, Chrome and Safari.
There have, however, been two crashes reported on Firefox.
On two computers my experience has been that if audio is being output through the computer's built-in sound that sound works all right in Flash 11.3 .
If you are having problems with sound in Flash 11.3 please describe the problems, system information and details about any sound card you are using.
Maybe the good people at Adobe will provide some guidance about what information they would like to see here.

Here are more details in case these might help users or the Adobe team.
Prior to updating to Flash 11.3 I had 11.2 on Windows Vista (32) on a Dell E510 desktop with external speakers connected to the sound card.  There were never any problems with sound with Flash 11.2 or previous versions.  Drivers on the sound card are up to date.
I filed a bug report about the sound issues on April 11, number 3210981.
Also, there are 15 crash reports on my Firefox browser from April 10 to 14 (accessed by typing "about:crashes" in the address bar) .
I reverted to Flash 10.3 on April 14 and there was sound in IE, Firefox and Safari.  There was no sound in Chrome which had automatically updated to Flash 11.3
On April 17 I did an experiment.
When external speakers were connected to the Sound Blaster Audigy sound card (and the sound control panel was set to "Speakers SB Audigy") there was no sound in Chrome (Flash 11.3).
When the speakers were connected to the computer's built-in sound output (and the sound control panel was set to the computer's built-in audio, "Speakers SigmaTel...") there was sound in Chrome (Flash 11.3).  Note: restart may be required for changes in the sound control panel to take effect.
There was sound in Firefox with Flash 10.3 with either configuration.
Finally, I physically removed the sound card and connected the speakers to the computer's built-in output.  (I probably didn't need to physically remove the sound card but I wanted to anyway.)  I updated to Flash 11.3 and now I have sound in Firefox, IE9, Chrome and Safari.
It remains to be seen if there will still be crashes on Firefox.

  • Audigy 2 card with Audigy 2 ZS drivers and Live Driv

I recently bought a Li've!Dri'veII bay for my system. To use this I plugged it into my Audigy 2 Value card which I have had for about 2 years. The bay came bundled with a SoundBlaster Li've! Platinum.
I tried to install my drivers, but as a Platinum, but the Bay still did not respond, didnt send anything out or receive a signal in. There is definitely power because when I plug in the headphones you can hear some white noise, but thats it.
I searched round for a solution and one was to install the Audigy 2 ZS drivers. I did this by following the following instructions:
    http://driverheaven.net/showthread.php?s&threadid=45004
This allowed me to also enable lots of extras such as the THX console and other stuff previously unused as my Audigy 2 drivers didnt have them.
    Now I have 2 problems:
    ) my Li've!Dri'veII Bay isn't working and
    2) In games I get sound glitches such as random noises that shouldnt be there, Missing noises such as gunshots are not heard or parts of the noise are missing.
So what do I need to do to sort this out, because I do wish to be able to use my system to its full potential.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

    David,
If you go into the surround mixer or Windows mixer do you see a listing for the front panel inputs (line in2/mic in2, Aux 2, etc)? If so, are any of them muted? If you go to start/programs/Creative/SB Audigy/Audio HQ/Device Settings, do you show a headphone tab? If so what options are enabled in there?
Double check your ribbon cable connection and maybe even swap sides of the cable.
