SB Live 24 bit 7.1 Driv

Hi i was just wondering why there is no EAX 4 driver or patch for the SBli've 24 bit , EAX is supposedly made for the 24 bit line of cards but your patchs have only been released for the audigy, i have an EAX card and i would like to experience the latest EAX features in games, why would only make EAX patchs for your audigy line of cards i hate when companies start abandoning driver support for older cards, i mean how hard could it be to make EAX 4 drivers for the SBli've 24 bit, you already have them for the audigy and its 24 bit as well, i just hope you guys release a patch for it, i hate owning hardware and not getting to experience all its features.

i was just wondering if they are going to patch the sbli've 24 bits to use eax 4, i just bought it to use with my surround sound speakers and i'd really like to find out if they are going to bother making updates for it, or if they are just going to abandon this card, i'm sick of buying slightly older hardware because i can't new stuff and then getting shafted in the driver and firmware departments, i mean why bother making a sbli've 24 bit, its he only li've thats 24 bit and because its got the li've name attacjed to it its gonna get left behind, you guys shoulda just waited and made it an audigy, so now its like here buy this li've card thats sorta an audigy but not quite and get no support. I just got the colin mcrae 2005 dvd and i started it up and saw eax4 and was thinking cool some better sounds for this card i bought new last week only to find that theres no support for it. Geez Nvidia releases a new driver every few days it seems and it works with everyone of their cards, it might not benefit the older cards much but every so often they add something r fix something that benefits all their cards. I don't mean to rag on the Mods here its not their fault it seems creative is too cheap to put enough money into their support department, the mods are even understaffed.Message Edited by fishboy on 2-2-2004 02:34 AM

  • Instant Client on 64-bit Windows 7: Driver does not appear in System DSN

    Instant Client on 64-bit Windows 7: Driver does not appear in System DSN tab when creating a new Data source.
    What I did so far:
    I downloaded the basic and odbc zips for Window 64-bit.
    Unzipped the basic zip.
    Unzipped the odbc zip to the same directory.
    Added the dir path to the System Environment Variable called Path.
    Double-clicked on the odbc_install.exe to run it from Windows Explorer.
    Then I tried to add the driver to create a new data source but it does not appear in the list of drivers.
    From a cmd window, I navigated to the instant client directory and tried to run odbc_install again.
    I got the message: Oracle ODBC Driver with same name already exists.
    What am I missing?

    hello, I did it like that you say,but the result also is "oracle odbc driver with same name already exists". I don't kown what can I do it ,Thank you!

  • Windows 8: Bit Locker encrypted drive "Access Denied" external drive

    I rebuilt my computer and installed win 8.1 pro.  Now my external drive comes up as an empty drive with "Access denied".  Here is the kicker: I had turned off bitlocker on the external drive long ago as it interfered with automated backups.
    Running the commands suggested here:
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/738c1760-c96d-430f-9ae6-1f28f5c60998/windows-8-bit-locker-encrypted-drive-not-found-or-access-denied?forum=w8itprosecurity it shows the bitlocker but as unlocked.  Drive still shows empty.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Markus

    Ahh, turns out to be permission issue not bitlocker (or maybe bitlocker caused it to lose permissions, don't know).
    Opened MyPc, right click on drive ->properties->security->advanced and selected apply to all.

    Develop a Windows Kernel Mode Driver (“Device Driver”);
    Make it to comply with VISA in order to utilize “osiBus Generic IO Interface” and MH DDK.

  • How to copy recorded live stream to new drive

    I was wondering if anyone out there knows how to copy a recorded live stream to a new drive on the server?  I can copy the file within the virtual app directory but not to another drive.
    The only solution i found was to edit the application.xml:
    <StreamManager>
            <StorageDir>e:\Sync\</StorageDir>
        </StreamManager>
    But unfortunately i need to rename the file once its recorded, and i'm having a hard time accessing that drive/directory where the file is located.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    thanks

    Hi,
    What I understood from your query I am providing you a solution:
    1. You can use the below to copy recorded live stream to new drive/directory in Application.xml
    <StreamManager>
            <StorageDir>e:\Sync\</StorageDir>
    </StreamManager>
    2. By default, a script can access files and directories only within the application directory of the hosting application. A server administrator can grant access to additional directories by specifying virtual directory mappings for File object paths. This is done in the FileObject tag in the Application.xml file, as shown in the following example:
    <FileObject>
          <VirtualDirectory>/_definst_;e:\Sync\_definst_\</VirtualDirectory>
    </FileObject>
    3. Create one application folder suppose test and then create main.asc file inside that which will have the below code
    application.onConnect = function(client) {
    application.acceptConnection(client);
    var fileObj = new File("_definst_");
    var fl = new Array();
    trace("File name : " + fileObj.toString());
    if (fileObj != null)
      if (fileObj.isDirectory)
       fl = fileObj.list();
       for (i in fl)
        trace("Directory : " + fl[i].name);
        if (fl[i].isFile)
         trace("File : " + fl[i].name);
         trace(fl[i].renameTo("dvrstream"+i));
        }//if closes
       }// for closes
      }//if closes
    }//if closes
    }// application closes
    This server side application rename files but since the folder which we had to access was outside application directory of the hosting application we had to map it using step 2.
    If this solution does not answer your query please be more ellaborative on what exactly are you trying to achieve. That will help me to answer your query correctly.

    Amit

  • Bit locker Mutliple Drives Mutliple OS's

    I have a laptop with two hard drive in it.  The primary has Windows 7 Enterprise and is a member of the corporate domain.  The secondary has Server 2008 R2 and is a member of the lab domain.  There is no trust or association between domain.
    The laptop does the Windows multi-boot off the primary drive.  I want to enable bit locker to secure the drives.
    If the two windows environments were exclusively separate, setting up bit locker on each drive independently would be pretty straight forward, but when I'm in one OS, I will frequently need to get files and data from the other drive (and no, making each
    drive big enough to hold all it's own data is not an option, plus the synchronization headache).  Both drives will need to be bit locked to their respective OS, but the other drive will need to be accessible.
    And not to make things too easy, the secondary drive, which i put in an optical drive bay carrier, routinely gets pulled (not while the system is running, of course) out and popped into a USB case to be used as a library transfer drive.
    So....
    the Windows 7 drive needs to be natively bit locked.  and be accessible when running Windows 2008 from the second drive.
    the Windows 2008 R2 drive needs to be natively bit locked, and be accessible when running Windows 7 from the first drive, and be accessible when run as a stand-alone USB drive on another system.
    I would appreciate any wisdom you can share to make this all work.  And please presume that i know next to nothing about installing and running bit locker, because that's pretty much true.
    Let me know if you need more information about my configuration.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    "and be accessible when run as a stand-alone USB drive on another system."
    Firstly, if you enable bitlocker for one drive, it will be encrypted always until you decrypt it. Thus after you insert it to any system, it need to enter the credential to access it.
    And then, if you want to access one drive in another computer, you need to get the shared permission. After you' re granted the sufficient permission, you could access it no matter if it's encrypted. Of course, another computer must be started.

  • Data Recovery from Partitioned and formatted Bit Locker Encrypted Drive

    Recently because of some issues in windows 7 installation from windows 8 installed OS. it was giving as the disc is dynamic windows can not be installed on it. so at last after struggling hard no other solution i partitioned and formatted my whole
    drive so all data gone included the drive which was encrypted by bit lockers.
    For recovery i used many software such as ontrack easy recover, get data back, recovery my files professional edition but still i couldnt able to recover my data from that drive. then i found some suggestion Using CMD to decrypt my data first
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee523219(WS.10).aspx
    where it shows it successfully decrypt my data at that moment my drives were in RAW format excluding on which windows is installed and then in CMD i check Chdsk which also shows no problem found. but now problem is still i coudnt able to recover
    my data then i format the drive D and again tried to recover data using above software after decryption still no result.
    Now i need assistance how i can recover my encrypted drive as it was partitioned and also formatted but decrypted also as i have its recovery key too. thanks

    Hi ,
    I am afraid that we cannot get the data back if the drive has been formatted even if use the
    BitLocker Repair Tool.
    You’d better contact your local data recovery center to try to get data back.

  • RMBP, Windows 7 64 bit, thunderbolt external drive

    I finally figured out how to install and run Win 7 off of my thunderbolt drive (seagate).
    the rMBP requires a FAT partition to be created on the interal SSD.  If you use bootcamp utility it creates a huge 20GB partition.  I was able to create a small FAT partition on the internal SSD and then proceed to install and run win 7 off of the external thunderbolt drive.
    PROCEDURE:
    1.  run diskutil command:
    Code:
    diskutil list
    you will need to know if your internal SSD is disk0 or disk1 (in this guide it was disk0
    2.  Create the small partition:
    ***my ssd is a 512 GB drive, you can break down the partition here ***
    Code:
    diskutil resizevolume /dev/disk0s2 494G MS-DOS FAT 5G
    3.  Within Mac, create a single msdos partition on the external thunderbolt drive.  (GUID or MBR)
    4.  for the rMBP, use the Bootcamp assistant utility to create your USB windows 7 installer from an iso and also with the bootcamp drivers.
    5.  Reboot and press the option key at the chime.
    6.  Choose the windows installer
    7.  at the drive screen of the installer you will see your 2 drives. drive0 maybe the external.  Format the external drive ntfs and then install to the drive.
    8.  On reboot and eventually install bootcamp drivers.
    Trial and error:
    I tried install without internal partition and received 0x8030024 error which in some of apple forums can be overcome by removing the main drive.  I did this but installer would freeze.
    Good luck.  If you need any help let me know.

    http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1414769

    I have a related question. I have a 2012 top-of-the-line iMac with Thunderbolt, and I already have the internal SSD partitioned into both Mac and Bootcamp running Windows 7 64 bit. The internal hard drive is also partitioned into both mac and PC hard drives  I just added a 4 TB external Thunderbolt drive (Seagate Backup Plus using the external Seagate Thunderbolt adapter/dock), and I do NOT want to install Windows bootcamp on the external drive - I just want to partition it so that the Mac has access to 2 TB and Bootcamp has access to the other 2 TB. Using Mac Disk Utility, I can easily partition it, although I can't format the PC side into NTSF. However, when I startup using Windows, it doesn't seem to recognize either of the external hard drive partitions that the Mac side already recognizes. The Mac side even assigned little icons (automatically) to both partitions showing the Seagate harddrive docked in its little Thunderbolt adapter/dock. The PC side didn't assign icons, and didn't recognize either partition UNTIL I WENT INTO PC DISK MANAGEMENT AND FORMATTED THE PC PARTITION AGAIN, as NTSB.  Now the PC side recognizes the Windows Partitions, but still doesn't recognize the Mac partition - it says that partition hasn't been formatted yet. Oddly, the Mac side still recognizes both partitions even after I changed the PC version. So what's going on here? Does Windows require some sort of Thunderbolt driver in order to correctly recognize an external hard drive that Mac Disk Utility has formatted? I didn't have this problem on the internal hard drive that come in my iMac - it's recognized easily by both PC and Mac.
    I am using only the Windows NTSF partition on the external hard drive at the moment. I transferred all my Steam games to it as an experiment (about 350 GB). The games are running just fine, but it seems that the frame rates and speeds are slower than they were on the original internal hard drive. I bought the external Thunderbolt drive because it was supposed to be faster.
    Anyone have any suggestions?
    Any help on this matter would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • LR 2.6 Windows 7 64 bit - not all drives listed in browse

    I am using Lightroom 2.6 on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, and I have found an annoying issue -
    the browse for files or folders dialog that comes up when I need to choose location for my raw files imported as .dng does not list all hard drives of my computer - it only lists contents of my user folder in drive C:/ - thus making it impossible for me to choose any other location than those within my user folder.
    I attach two screenshots - 1/ Normal browse for folders dialog as it appears from within Windows explorer.
    2/ Same dialog as invoked by Lightroom - with all drives missing.
    Is that a bug or am I missing something?

  • Windows 8: Bit Locker encrypted drive "Not Found" or "Access Denied"

    I just upgraded my Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows 8 Pro. C drive is not Bit locker protected, but D drive is. When I go to Computer and double click on D drive, it tells me one of two errors: 1) Application Not Found (more common), or 2) Access is Denied
    (less common).
    I thought maybe Bit locker wasn't working, but I plugged in my USB stick that is encrypted and had no issues; it asked for the password and opened the folder.
    One thing I did earlier was to setup a new local account, give it administrator password, then delete the other account that I had originally used in Win7 (and in installing Win8). Maybe this caused some sort of security problem.
    Please help.
    Thanks.

    I have been using Bitlocker since it was available with Vista Ultimate.   I have had the same password to unlock my drive for 5 years. I NEVER keep my recovery key this drive. but just last month i copied all my data to another drive formatted
    it to freshen it up and copied it back over. For some reason i kept the recovery key TXT file....  when i tried your method here due to the same exact problem listed the command prompt would not allow me to enter a password in CMD or powershell. Since
    i had the recovery key .. THANK GOODNESS it unlocked perfectly and i was able to retrieve my 6 years of Data.  So yes, this works and works well.  thank You!

  • T500 Win 7 pro 64-bit drivers - hard drive device driver filename?

    Hi,
    I recently started an upgrade path with my T500.
    I purchase a new 500GB western digital drive.
    Now I need to gather all the win 7 pro 64-bit drivers for my T500.
    I started the install of win 7 pro to see how far I could get, not far ... I am stuck currently searching for the proper device drive for my mass storage (which is NOT partitioned either - ideas on how to do that or should the win install program program give an option once I have the right driver(s)?)
    Do you know what the proper T500 win 7 pro 64-bit driver is I need?  I have tried a few with no luck yet.
    Fun fun fun ...
    Thank you.
    - Spuds23

    You shouldn't need any additional drivers to do an install of Win 7 on your T500.  You might add drivers later, but the Win 7 installer should get the initial install done without adding anything.  It certainly did on my T400.
    You might try setting the BIOS AHCI setting back to SATA (or whatever the non-compatibility mode is called.)  That shouldn't be necessary either, but it's worth a shot.  For that matter, just do a reset of your BIOS and try from there.
    BTW, once you have Windows installed, also install ThinkVantage System Update and use that to pull down the drivers and apps for your machine.

  • Using PDF Printer in XP Mode within Windows 7 64-bit (need x86 driver)

    This question was asked before and there was no response. (See   http://forums.adobe.com/thread/782430 )
    I have practically the same question.
    My desktop has as Windows 7 64-bit on it, and Adobe Acrobat X installed on it  I have an application that I have to run in XP Mode.
    How can I install the print driver in both places without buying another license?  They are running on the same machine.
    I tried to connecting to the shared PDF Printer using a network printer, but Adobe Acrobat only installs the 64-bit driver, and the XP Mode needs the x86 driver installed.
    I found that I can go to the  printer properties and it has an option to add the  X86 driver but asks for the .inf file.
    I believe this version of Acrobat came as part of a bundle, but not positive. Can't find a disk anywhere and also looked for a driver on my PC. No luck.
    I know this is a fully licensed product. So anyone know where I can find the driver?
    John

    How is Acrobat 8 not fully Windows 7 compatible?  I see discussions on this Adobe Community saying how Acrobat 8 does work on Windows 7 and with 64-bit.  It appears that if Acrobat 8 is updated to the latest version, then this should fix AA8-Win7 issues.  And I am at the latest AA8 version, 8.3.1.
    And how are Acrobat 8 and Reader XI are not compatible?  I have always had Acrobat and Reader installed on the same PC, without ever having any issues.  And Adobe allows the installation of one after the other.  So apparently Adobe allows them both to exist together.  If they are incompatible, then why would Adobe allow them to exist together?
    Anyway, I did uninstall the FileOpen Plug-in and the Reader XI, then reinstalled the FileOpen Plug-in.  So now Reader is not installed and only Acrobat 8 is installed.  I then tried to load the PDF file, but I still get the Acrobat 8 error described above.

  • What is the best option for working live off external hard drive?

    I have 3 iMacs all networked together and working off 1TB of files stored on an old MacPro. I'm wondering what my best option would be for upgrading moving forward. I need more space (preferable 2TB or more) and I'd like the connection to be as fast as possible. A server seems like overkill ...
    I have an external 3TB WD Cloud backing up all of the files, but it's far too slow to work off of live as it needs to 'wake up' every time I ping it.
    Would running a 'headless' Mini directly off my router work? Or perhaps attached to one of the iMacs?
    Other options?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi there,
    Ive always followed the idea that journalling is turned off, so I would follow the advice given and turn journalling off.
    In addition I would also make that drive "private" to spotlight so it doesn't search or catalogue there.
    If its of interest, I've always formatted my drives in the following way
    make 2 partitions,
    partition 1 - make this about 10% of the drives capacity and label DO NOT USE
    partition 2 - make this the remainder of the capacity
    the reason being (So Im told by the drive gurus) is that the first sector contains the volumes boot block - this can get corrupted/damaged so having it partitioned like this means you can erase it safely whilst keeping your media.
    Ive followed this for years and it has worked on the few occasions a drive has misbehaved.
    cheers
    Andy
