SB Live! 5.1 Drivers Prob

I have a SB Li've! 5. serial number SB000, and I built this computer myself, (e.g. installed the card myself). My OS is Windows XP Pro SP2. I downloaded the Installation CD for Li've! Value/Player, Li've! 5. and Audigy series (Windows XP and older OS) ISO as the CD that came with the card is likely outdated and it doesn't have Windows XP drivers on it. So I installed the drivers but I continually get a "new hardware found" message when I start windows and it tries to install a "Multimedia Audio Controller". Browse as I may through the driver CD, the drivers for this device cannot be found and it ends up getting installed in the question mark category, (i.e. doesn't work). I think this device might be the SB6 emulation device, which I need to install to play my DOS games, and is currently not listed in the device manager. There is "Legacy Audio Drivers" in there but I don't think that's the SB6 emulation.
I can't use the phone support, and when I e-mailed customer support a while ago their response was really of no use. So can anyone here help me out? :robotsad:

I found a fix that worked for me and I hope it works for anyone else experiencing the same issue. I had to Manually delete the UpperFilters and LowerFilters registry values.
To Manually delete the UpperFilters and LowerFilters registry values, follow these steps:
1. Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
START > RUN > (Type) REGEDIT (and hit ENTER)
2. Locate the UpperFilters and LowerFilters value under the following key in the registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{6BDDFC6-80F-D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F}
3. On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click OK.
NEXT: I went to my Device Manager in Windows XP > IMAGING DEVICES > CREATIVE WEBCAM LIVE! ULTRA then right mouseclicked and chose DISABLE. I Then Right mouse clicked again and chose ENABLE. Then Wallah! My webcam led cam on and the darn thing started working again.
HOW I DISCOVERED WHAT TO DOI came across a link to a similar problem regarding a CD-Rom Driver install issue returning Error Code 9. This was the same error code that I recieved when trying to re-install my webcam drivers. So I poked around the registry near a similar path (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contr ol\Class\) as mentioned in the article found at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/34060/EN-US/ until I ran across an entry that said Imaging Devices in it.

Z77 Mpower Live Update wrong drivers

In Live update appears a list with some wrong drivers when I scan, wrong version of Control center, and things like Super RAID.
Winki is no where to be found, not in the web page, not in live update, where is winki?
Plase fix this.

SoundBlaster Live 5.1 Driver prob

I have a Creative SB 5..Until I reinstall Windows XP, it was working well.But after XP reinstallation it is not working now. I am installing its driver by its original CD.it seems to be installed but when i open device manageri see that Creative Emu0K Audio Device is not installed.this time i tried to install from here i mean from the device manager window.it seems it is copying drivers ,but after some seconds?it is giving a message as ,?the installation is not succesful,some files may be missing....etc etc..i dont understand why.and so in the control panel there is no sound devices seen. what must i do?

Have you tried a cleansweep? (You might also want to try removing the card after uninstalling and booting without it before reinstalling.)

Avi plays in Windows Live Movie Maker but probs in Quicktime and Premiere Pro

I'm completely new to Premiere Pro and am trying to edit a recording of a webinar for work. I have it in both .avi and .wmv formats but can't import either into Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 or CS5.5. They both play in Windows Media Centre, Windows Live Movie Maker and Windows Media Player, but the audio is corrupted and no images appear when I play in Quicktime with the avi and when I try to play the wmv in Quicktime it says the file is not in a format that Quicktime understands. When I try to import either into Premiere Pro I get the error message "Unsupport format or Damaged File". I've used Gspot to determine that the codecs I need are installed and am at a loss in terms of what to do next. I've spent literally hours on this and would dearly love some help. Live 24bit External Power Prob

I have this connected to my laptop but I repeatedly unplugged and plugged it in because I travel with my laptop. It worked fine for about 3 months and now when I plug it in, it wont power on. Audigy MP3+ Drivers Prob

I have an Audigy MP3+ and I have a new computer. I connect my Audigy Card in this new computer but I have problems with Drivers.
First, I installed the Drivers from the Original CD that came with the card.
But in the installation I got an error several times. Something like the drivers or software are out of date.
Then I visited the Creative site for download a recent drivers. The autoupdate told me that download there drivers: Audigy Series Driver v02.09.006
I did and when I tried to install them appears this error:

You need to install all software from Creative CD, bundled w/ your card.

Webcam Live! Pro Drivers for Windows 7

According to the Creative Tech Support site, this model camera status is "End of Service", however can anybody indicate which other drivers might be used to resurrect their use on Win 7.
It seems odd that these otherwise effective units should be either constrained to XP or else 'junked' when upgrading to Win 7. I have tried several likely candidates but no joy to date.
Any advice appreciated.

I did some searching around in regards to the driver problem you are experiencing. I found a past discussion about installing Windows 7 on the Yoga 2. Apparently the missing driver is indeed for the screen rotation sensor, but unfortunately no one was able to find the needed driver for Windows 7. Live drive ir drivers

first off, this site takes forever to load...secondly, where do i find drivers for this?! i have the original installation cd, but it is for win98. i have winxp. i need the drivers, and other stuff like audiohq. when i go to the driver support page, all i get is "upgrade drivers", where i must have the orignal installed. i need standalone drivers and the supporting programs for xp!!!! >:| >:|

You need the Li'veDrvUniPack for Windows XP. Go to the download page and in the search section type in Li'veDrvUni and it will take you directly to it. I would suggest installing from the CD first and when Windows warns you that it was not for XP continue. Run the install and then reboot. Once it reboots run the Li'veDrvUniPack. This will replace the drivers and applications for the Li've! You may also want to download the updates to Playcenter and Creative Recorder.
The Li'veDrvUniPack is a stand alone update, but in order to have all the programs from the original install you need to use the CD.

SB Live 5.1 Installation Prob

I have a SB Li've 5. card. I purchased it less than a year ago. I purchased a new computer last week and wanted to put the card into the new computer. I can't find the disk that came with the card. I downloaded the driver and tried to install it, and I was told that "Setup could not decect any Sound Blaster Audio card on your system". I tried to run the auto update from this site, and it found my SB Li've 5. card and said that it was fully updated. I tried to search the previous posts but never found an answer. I'm running Windows XP, and I have an eMachine with an AMD processor. Am I having issues due to the AMD processor? Can someone help? I'd use my onboard audio, but I have a Creative 5. speaker system... I need sound!

Ditto. I see no thread. When I searched for this topic, I found posts of this problem, but never any answers. Please come up with an answer. I sent a request to customer service, and if I get an answer from them before an answer here I'll be sure to post it. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help. My games are no fun without surround sound.

I have lost my soundblaster CD. So I downloaded SBL5_W9xME.exe(9.0MB) from the creative labs website. It extracts many files and creates the Sbl5.exe(it's a installation wizard, 4.88MB). Starting the wizard the following error message appears :
Setup was unable to detect a SB Li've! 5. card on your system. This software package is meant for SB Li've! 5. audio cards only. Setup will now exit.
But I do have a SB Li've! 5. card! The diagnostic tool
C:\Programs\Creative\Diagnostics\CTCplFW.exe
says that a creative SB card is present on the computer. The Control panel device list says, that a "Creative EMU0K Audio Processor (WDM)" is present in the system.
I tried four different PCI slots, and the same error message appears.
The description on the europe.creative.com site says that the SBL5_W9xME.exe(9.0MB) file is for SB0060.
Now i am not sure if i can use this driver for my SB000 sound card, too.

Problem :
My Center Channel Port from the Woofer doesn't work while playing songs or watching movies even though in the Creative Play Center.
But, it works while during the Creative Diagnostic Test - a voice such as "Center" alone gets heard

Soundblaster Live 24bit analog mic prob

Hi all,
Just picked up an analog mic ,plugged it in to the correct port, last one on the right and no sound. Tested the mic on my laptop and it worked fine. Am I missing something here. Should be simple. Not a new install on the Soundblaster Li've 24bit , everything is working fine. Thanks Steve

Before that. Are other sounds being output correctly example playing back MP3 etc... Also check your Control Panel - Sound & Audio device. Ensure that the playback and voice are having the corrected sound card selected.

LO 26315 - ODBC Drivers issue while generating LO Document

Hello folks,
LO 26315 - We got this error code while we were trying to generate a live office document on Universe ( Built on SQL Server with ODBC Connectivity) The complete error message was " Failed to get the document information (LO 26315) Database error: [Microsoft] [ODBC Driver manager] data source name not found and no default driver specified. (IES10901) (LO 26315)".
We assume this was due to the ODBC Drivers (Prob. caused due to the creation of ODBC drivers on client machine to establish connection while creating universe on the SQL Server) and how to specify Default ODBC Driver or how to create/configure these drivers to the BO Server ? Kindly help us, your inputs are highly appreciated.

NX73000GS-TD256E - Drivers for Windows XP

I had buy a NX73000GS-TD256E since two days.
I tray to install this with the drivers on CD installation,
- the MSI drivers web site (94.24),
- the NVIDIA drivers web site (8212),
- the Live Update 3 drivers,
- the non officiel drivers (160.02 - Team 7Z),
And the card doesn't work. (I'm connected on VGA Port Card and then I make installation of drivers the Computer restart just before the Welcome Screen of Windows XP.
Please help me to found the good drivers !
I don't think the card is brake because I have an image.
How I can verify the health card ?
Is there a problem of compatibility with the mainboard ?

have you installed mainboard chipset drivers 1st? --> Yes, last version
have you tried latest VGA drivers from Nvidia? --> Yes, Of course
can you list PSU details too?(can be found over PSU sticker) --> I'm not sure to understand, 230 Volts (5A), +3,3 (12A), +5 (20A), -5V (0,3A), +12V (9A), -12V (0.5A), +5VSB (2A), (french system).
test VGA in another machine as well --> I will try to do this tomorrow.

Alright, here's the lowdown on x64 drivers for integrated SB Live! 24-bit sound cards (ala the one in the MSI NEO4 Plat SLI).
Creative has a beta x64 driver program. You can find it here http://preview.creativelabs.com however, if you read the release notes these drivers EXCLUDE 24bit versions of SB Live!. From reading the preview site, it seems that it's not that the 24-bit drivers have not been written yet. It is that they will NEVER be written, AFAIK they are currently not under development (so bitching about it on the preview site wont help).
This leads me to creative main forums, where I find this lovely post. Apparently it is Creative's position that the motherboard manufacturer is responsible for providing the drivers to the integrated sb live card.
Hurrah for screw ups. MSI, it looks like Creative is screwing you on this one, please don't integrate anymore of their sound cards. Realtek has official x64 drivers on thier site already.
Does anyone know if MSI is planning to release sb live 24-bit drivers? Cause it looks like Creative sure as hell isn't.
BTW, There are x64 drivers for every other component on the MSI NEO4 Plat SLI except for the SB Live! 24-bit.
