Sb not displaying waveforms when dynamic linked to PR...

I posted this in Soundbooth, but it seems appropriate here as well. Hopefully there's an easy answer:
I have the following programs open - Premiere Pro CS4, Adobe Bridge CS4 & Soundbooth CS4.
I create a new multitrack file in Sb. Click File\Adobe Dynamic Link\Import Premiere Pro Sequence and select the Project and Sequence. Click OK and the Video Track appears with the project name & (reference). There are thumbnails of the video images from the Pr timeline and a wide green band but no audio waveforms. No other audio tracks contain anything at all.
The video track will play with audio and the meters indicate stereo audio but there is no audio visible anywhere.
Workspace is "Edit Audio to Video," and Properties show the proper sample rate. All sample rates are the same throughout the timeline.
One anomaly is that the Properties "Last Modified" entry is wrong as it shows today's date but about 4 hours later than the actual system clock.
I guess I was under the impression that this workflow would enable me to open my 9 tracks of audio to do sweetening in Sb and that that work would be reflected in my timeline in Pr through the Dynamic Linking.
How is this supposed to work? The documentation is less than useful in both Sb & Pr. There are implications, but no real information on what's what.
Anyone doing this, and, if so, how???

I'm really confused with the whole multitrack thing in Soundbooth. Seems all it is good for is combining multiple files that you can change over again. I don't see how this is useful at all when editing with an NLE. Once the tracks are in there they are stuck and can't be movied if you tweak any tracks.
Like you I don't understand the point of the new soundbooth multitrack file at all. Seems like they stuck it in so that there would be a new feature for CS4.
If you could open an OMF exported by premiere and work like that dynamic linked that would be great. Maybe someone can suprise us with an actual real world use.
Since the update I use Audition anyway. Awesome music app.

Dynamic Link is a marketing Pipe Dream, not a Pipeline!!

What does this message mean on my PC " the procedure entry point sqlite3_wal_checkpoint could not be located in dynamic link library SQlite3.dll.

With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the SQLite3.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Reboot and see if all is well
In case that your OS is Windows 7 (64 bit)

2. Copy file "SQLite3.dll"

Firefox page images do not display only text and links

New desktop (not this one) with windows 8.1 Pro, Firefox 29, Norton Internet security. When I go to many of the Firefox pages images do not display, only text and links. This is true for the "get add-ons" page. I can search for add-ons, but when I try to install one, the installation fails. Is there a security setting in windows or NIS that is blocking Firefox images and installations? The Firefox installation went smoothly without error. Other sites do not have this problem.

Wow! I never would have thought of that! My time settings were incorrect when I set up the PC, and I thought I set them. I did have the day, date, and time set correctly. But I did not have AM/PM set right. So, I was off by 12 hours. I corrected it and, voila, all works well.
I'm so happy now, because I can now get all the security extensions I've grown to love:
- NoScript
- Ghostery
- Better Privacy
- Adblock Plus

Maximum bit depth-maximum render quality when dynamic linking

A bit confused by the use of Maximum bit depth and Maximum render quality as used both in Sequence Settings and also as options when rendering in AME.
1 Do you need to explicitly enable these switches in the sequence for best quality or, do you simply need to switch them on in AME when you render in Media Encoder?
2 When dynamic linking to After Effects, when should you use an 8 bit vs 16 or 32 bit working space, and, how does this bit depth interact with the maximum bit depth, maximum render quality in PPro?

I understand your confusion. I'm like that most of the time I'm working. *chuckle* The two settings you mentioned are two completely different parameters affecting (or is it effecting) your video. You do not need to enable them within the sequence itself unless you want to preview video on you program monitor at the highest quality. I personally don't recommend it, as it's a tremendous resource hog, (the program even warns you when you try to click them) and unessecary for improving final output. Again, do not enable these options in your sequence settings if you are only wanting a high quality export. Doing so will greatly reduce your editing performance unless you have a high-end system. ...and even then I don't think its worth it unless you're editing on a huge screen with a Director who wants to see everything at a maximum quality during the edit process.
Keeping it simple...
Resizing your final output video? Use Maximum bit depth.
Starting or working with high bitdepth sources? Use Max Bit Depth.
When/where do I enable these? In the AME only. ^_^
Why?:
Enabling the Max bit and Max render only needs to be done when you are exporting. They both serve different functions.
Max Render aids in the scaling/conversion process only. My understanding is that you never need to enable the Max Render Quality (MRQ) unless you are exporting in a format/pixel ratio different from your original video. For example, when rendering a 1080p timeline out to a 480p file format, you'll want to use MRQ to ensure the best scaling with the least amount of artifacts and aliasing. If you're exporting at the same size you're working with, DON'T enable MRQ. It will just cost you time and CPU. Its only function is to do a high quality resizing of your work.
Maximum bit depth increases the color depth that your video is working with and rendering to. If you're working with video that has low color depth, then I don't believe it will matter. However, if you're working with 32 bit color on your timeline in PPro and/or After Effects, using lots of graphics, high contrast values, or color gradients, you may want to enable this option. It ultimately depends on the color depth of your source material.
The same applies to After Effects.
Create something in AE like a nice color gradient. Now switch the same project between 8,16,32 bit depth, and you will see a noticable difference in how the bit depth effects your colors and the smoothness of the gradient.
Bit depth effects how different plugins/effects change your overall image. Higher depth means more colors to work with (and incidentally, more cpu you need)
Just remember that "DEPTH" determines how many colors you can "fill your bucket with" and "QUALITY" is just that, the quality of your "resize".

Why exchange rate is not displayed correctly when I create the PO in SRM?

Hi Gurus,
Yesterday I insert a new row at OB08 tx. at backend system (R/3) for exchange rate of May 17,2010, the value was 10.00. Then I run the BBP_GET_EXRATE program to replicate the info to SRM.
But when I created a purchase order (PO) the value was 12.24 for exchange rate (this value 12.24 is the value for the previous day May 16, 2010).
Today morning (May 18, 2010), I inserted another row at R/3 and replicated to SRM, the new value for May 18 was 11. I create another PO and the value was 10 for exchange rate (the value for yesterday).
But when the PO is transmitted to R/3, the exchange rate is the correct.
My question is: Why exchange rate is not displayed correctly when I create the PO in SRM? Exists an aspect of memory in SRM that it has to be refreshed? Why SRM is getting the exchange rate for yesterday? Is an issue for time zone?

I'm in Extended classic.
I already discovered what is happening. At the time of being creating the purchase order (PO), it takes the exchange rate of the delivery date of the shopping cart (SC). But when the order is authorized and tries to transmit it to R/3, it takes the exchange rate of the date of creation of the PO.
Two checks of budget exist:
1.- When creating PO (exchange rate date of delivery date of the SC's item)
2.- When authorized and tries to transmit it to R/3 (exchange rate date of creation date of the PO)
If exchange rate of delivery date of the SC is lower than exchange rate date of creation of the PO, there are cases in which it is marking budget error.
Now my question is: It is a standard behavior? (to take different exchange rate)

Entry point errors can usually be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of from the programs and features control panel. Unfortunately you neglected to include the detail of which dll is mentioned.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for installation or performance issues, or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

PDFs not displaying images when opened in Google Chrome.

My PDFs are not displaying images when opened in Chrome. They do display in other browsers and when saved to the desktop. I have tested on multiple machines. "... a known Chrome issue." The resolution lies with Google for this - nothing you can do (other than disable the "in house" browser add-on and enable Adobe's (if you have Reader or Acrobat installed)).
A similar issue exists with other, contemporary, browser releases.
The "fix" is these software houses to deploy PDF viewer browser add-ons that actually comply with ISO 32000.
Perhaps their lazy approach reflects the attitude of "Hey, Adobe will get the hit not us."
Provide your users a feed-back mechanism; you'd be able to respond with the suggestion that they ping on the appropriate software houses to provide adequate software.

I downloaded Firefox 4 yesterday. I used it and had no problems. I started my computer today and clicked the Firefox icon and got the message "The procedure entry point NS_Set DLL Directory could not be located in dynamic link library Xul.dll" .I tried to shutdown and restart and got the same message.I use Norton Security. Could it not recognize Firefox 4 and done this?

Can you describe what happens in these different scenarios:
(1) Start Firefox with its own program icon. Error dialog, but Firefox runs normally after you dismiss it? Or no error? Or Firefox won't start?
(2) Firefox not running, double-click shortcut to web site on desktop. Error dialog but Firefox loads the page after you dismiss it? Or Firefox doesn't load the page? Or Firefox never loads??

(4) Double-click unrelated desktop shortcut. Does this give an error as well?
If you've noticed effects with links in documents or emails outside of Firefox, that could be a clue as well.

Data selected is not displaying but when refresh the browser it displays

The system brings back a record after the record is selected from the database. The data is in memory but is not display. When the browser is refreshed, the data displays.

Sorry but this is an internal system. The problem is baffling because there seems to be no consistency in its patterns. Sometimes when we pull up an account, it would show the info. Other times the same information does not come up. We thought it could be missing records, i.e. orphaned rows, but this isn't the case. It is quite odd and especially hard to bug because we can't consistently replicate it.

In cs6, my preview files are not saving on my Dynamic Link AE comps when i reopen the project

This has been going on for a long time for me, dont know if anybody else has this problem, but for me, when i render out the whole entire sequence, everthing has the green bar, i save, i quit and reopen, the red bar appears and i have to re render all the Dynamic link comps again! its really annoying, i feel like its just collecting more space every time i do this
Any fix for this, and here are my specs

Memory 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
