SB Tactic 3D Sigma sound buzzing

Hello,
i've just bought the Sigma headset, installed everything perfectly, no issues at all. But then, when i speak in skype for example, or when i play a movie, or youtube clip, and there is speaking involved, i hear this buzzing that goes along with the speach. I tried listening to music but i couldnt really get if it was still there. I tried alot of things, and cant really type them all, so i would be really grateful if someone can assist me on this one. Thank you for your time.

Im using it with the adaptor. I tried removing it, and going straight audio plugs, and it seemed like the problem disappeared. The USB adaptor has a sound card integrated in it right ? Is it possible that the problem comes from audio cards interferring ?

  • Tactic 3D Sigma - No audio from right side using USB?

Just got my new Creative Sound Blaster Tactic 3D Sigma (phew, that's a mouthful) headset in the mail today. When I connect it to my laptop using the USB adapter, there is no audio from the right side, only the left. When I connect using analog, though, the headset works fine.
I'm on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, and I have the latest Creative software and headset drivers installed.

Hmmm... sounds like something is wrong with the USB adapter. Did you purchase the headset direct through Creative Online Store or from your local electronics store? If you bought the headset from your local electronics store, please get in touch with them right away, these stores usually have a 30 day exchange policy.

  • Tactic 3D Sigma bass not normally

´Sow I got the Tactic 3D Sigma and yah it soundt (nearly) perfect and it fits my head really nice.. But But But The bass is sow flat it beats allthe "air" out from the sound and from a cool 50mm neodymium magnet driver unit it cannot be how it´s supose to be really?
Any other gamer headset I have tried even cheap ones got better bass..
I have tryed all the settings.
I have tried it with the THX TruStudio Pro Dual Mode USB Adapter and with a normal sound card and it´s still a flat bass.
Is there perhaps a cushion over the bass and can I remove it? Or perhaps a software fix I can try? btw. I got all the new fremware and driver.
All my friends say the same about the bass sow it's not only me who are creasy
Hope you can help or just give me a answer.

  • Macbook Pro Hard disk Makes an annoying sound (buzz) while working but functions properly.

I've got this Macbook Pro 13 inch 2.4 Intel core i5 processor. After about a year the hard disk without any reason started to make an annoying sound (buzzing) while working that sometimes quiets down but when I move the laptop it starts all over again !! Also when I put it down on a side like on my bed while I'm lying on the bed it makes the same sound !! Like when I move the laptop I can hear the buzzing sound changing !! The hard disk functions pretty well though!! What's the problem? I tried Verifying and Reparing the Disk as my father suggested and that helped a bit but after like 10 minutes it's starts again. Any ideas? Have you guys ever seen such a thing before? What should I do?

I have the same issue you're having.
When it first happened (soon after I bought my late 2013 15" MBP), eventually my motherboard and Retina display crashed and needed to be replaced. Now after a couple of months being repaired, I started getting the same clicking sounds opening web browsers or apps, etc. I'm worried its the same thing with the motherboard and or retina display starting to fail again.
Im going to have it checked out however like you said, It's hard to replicate on the spot.
Please LMK if you have any updates on the cause and I'll do the same.
    Thanks!

  • Sound Buzz when transferring file from Trash to desktop

I get the occasional Sound Buzz when transferring file from Trash to desktop
Its a Short "grounding" buzz similar to slowly plugging an electric guitar when the amp is on, but its loud !
I am just using the internal sound,

Brett - thanks for that input, but as stated in my original post this happens whether I do the copy within Finder, or from inside Bridge.
Your note did inspire me to try one thing though: I UN-checked my Bridge preference to export caches to folders when possible, then I went to the folder I was trying to move (on the NAS) and did Tools > Cache > Purge Cache. I found that if the folder contained only files and no other folders, then I could move the folder to my desktop. However, if the folder in question had nested folders, then I still run into the same conflict.
Question: since this conflict does not happen when moving a folder from one computer to another computer (but only from the NAS to a computer), I'm not sure how your logic holds when you say "Bridge is trying to cache the files you are moving and creates a ".BridgeCacheT" file before the remote version is copied"
To answer your other question, we use AFP or at least is says "afp://server.local" when we connect. My apologies for not being an expert on this. The icon of the NAS on the desktop looks like the icons for the other computers.
Thanks, I'm still trying to solve this. It's really become a major problem for us as we now have to drag files individually (rather than by folder) when we want to do something with them. -- Jim

  • Soundblaster tactic 3d sigma

    Hi,
just bought this 2 days back, was wondering if it's common to hear some "zzz" (Static) sound ?
    Anyone having the same issue?
    regards
    Zaapiez

I bought this headset yday. and changed it today because i thought the USB thingy was defect.
i have the same problem. when i use the THX USB adapter im getting this buzzing sound that occurs after playing a sound, and playing music for the most of it. it works great in World of Warcraft but not when i want to watch a video/stream or listen to music.
Ive tried to not use the USB adapter but then i get static noise in my mic, so now i use the mic slot in the USB adapter and the standard jack port for the headset sound itself, but when i do this i cant listen to anything that the sigma control panel has to offer and its pretty frustrating.
    regards oDi
Edit: just tested on my MAC aswell, same problem.. and as i stated i just recently swapped out the headset into a new pair because i thought it was a defect part when this occured.

  • Tactic 3d sigma left speaker just stopped working within a 24 hour period

so as title says yesterday morning i woke up and the left speaker was a little dodgy it was turning on and off anf you had tap the left speaker cup to get it to start putting out sound and make sure you didnt lay back in chair or anything to disturb it then this morning its completely dead nothing will get sound.
this is the second of this type of headset in the last 4 months and the first one died from same problem after no more than 3 months and this ones been less than 2 months till pretty much useless any ideas might help even if its just saying worst luck in defecti've product ever
edit just checked bank statements i've have this new headset since june 28 so in two and a half weeks the left speaker stopped
edited once more i checked further back the first headset laster from may 27 to just before june 28 i've never had aproblem with creative products before but i dont think ill be buying another one of these models they apperently defecti've in some way

Hello..if it's any consolation which i'm sure it's not...My earcup was faulty out of the box..i.e turned round and round.
If you check the G35 and platro¤¤ 777 you will find similar QA problems.
Don't know if the problem are related to different batches but it seems that there is a lot to be desired in some companies manufacture and QA departments.
Just hope these companies realise what damage is being done to thier reputation and maybe remember the old saying
"if it cheap (presumably manufacturing costs) then there is something fishy about it." ( assuming they're getting third-party companies to manufacture a lot of these)
this is 00 % pure conjecture on my part and the percentages of faults may be very small in real terms compared to the number of units sold?
But if users are to be believed and such stories similar to -,these are 2 or (8) months old and I picked them up today and the left earcup fell off...don't fill one with confidence. From what I can gather most internet shops/manufacturers have been ok at replacing headsets..it's just the inconvience of having to send them in(may or may not be reimbursed for shipping costs) and be without a headset for a while especillay when they are DOA..GREAT BOUGHT NEW PRODUCT ..DOA BUT as a customer I have to wait two weeks to get a replacement....NOT GOOD BUSINESS
in my case the company I bought them from (SIGMA's) did have a replacement in stock though they stated that they had some on order but didn't have a confirmed deli'very date from creative...so i got my money back but missed an offer on another headset . Now I don't have any headset :-(
The long and short of it seems that QA seems to be a problem at the moment in MY view...you might buy from another manufacturer and get a faulty headset?
I am thinking of just getting some Audio (music) phones and maybe a soundcard..
Best of luck getting an exchanged working pair or your money back.

  • Macbook pro retina sound buzzing

Just bought a brand new MacBook Pro Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013 yesterday. I absolutely love it, but I have a small problem. On certain itunes movies, I have noticed, when the sound is high, that it will creat a very annoying buzzing sound. Is it a problem with the mac or the movie? I don't no. If there are any solutions to this problem, I would be very grateful to here them!

I have a simular problem. It happens all the time with headphones in or if I play sound through the speakers, in fact it happens once the sound is up more than half way even if nothing is playing.

  • Tactic 3d Sigma static..

When the speakers in my slightly-over-a-year-old ABS FX-7 headset mysteriously blew, and realizing they don't sell them anymore, I started searching for a new 'virtual surround' headset. I spent about 2 days researching and reading reviews and ended up going with the Creative Tactic3d Sigma from Amazon. I got it today, and after installing the drivers, I am noticing that there is some clear static/white noise or rattle going on for softer, quieter sounds. It's also audible while people are talking and can still be heard once they stop talking, it just slowly fades. I can't really notice it when listening to music but for anything else it is very noticeable. It gets inreasingly worse as anything in the THX menu gets turned up. It really messes up the sound clarity and is definitely not something I would expect from a $75 headset. My ABS set sounded amazing and was just as good if not better than this Creative set, and it was only $30. I've already contacted Creative about the issue to see if there's something wrong with the headset, and want to know if any of you have experienced similar issue. I have already tried using it in a different USB port and on a different computer and it's all the same. On Win 7 64 and 32 bit OS's.
On a side note, the sounds that the headset produces seem to cancel themselves out, I know it's just two speakers, but when playing rock music, with the bass turned up, the bass drums create a kind of 'muting' sound for everything else as if the speakers aren't able to play all of the sounds at once, and the bass also doesn't seem all that crisp. Feels pretty muddy compared to my old unit and doesn't exactly have a 'hit' to it like I'm used to, anyone else have that issue? I have noticed a few similar things happening in Bad Company 2, where for instance, the beeping noise of the comm station bomb would skip because of the sounds occuring.
Kinda bummmed. If it turns out this is just how they are I will probably end up returning them to Amazon and going with a different unit.

  • Disappointed with Tactic 3D Sigma

I've been a HS-000 (fatalty) headset owner for a couple of years now. I've always been very happy with it.
I saw the 3D Sigma on sale, read some reviews, and thought it might be a nice upgrade.
What a disappointment. The sound is less clear and impressi've in every department (bass/mids/highs) than my original HS-000. The THX Trustudio 3D effect is barely usable in comparison to the old CMSS-3D on my HS-000, where I could hear directional sounds (playing Bad Company 2) perfectly.
I spent an hour playing with the settings on the Sigma, and trying out the various "gamer" presets. I couldn't get the 3D positional audio to work convincingly, and I couldn't fix the artificial, processed sound coming from these cans (I see others on this board have described them as like being inside a tin can).
I'm not spending another minute on these ... back to the HS-000. And will think carefully before buying another "upgrade" from Creative ...

If it doesn't have X-Fi technologies like you say, going back to the Fatalty headset would make sense. Keep in mind that the USB device is optional, so you can use the Sigma as a regular headset, either with an even better Sound Blaster, or other devices with an audio output.

  • MSI FROZR III Black screen sound buzzing

    HI all,
Tonight whilst I was playing Red faction Armageddon the screen went black and the sound was buzzing the only way that I could do anything was to reboot my computer by pressing the reset button. Any ideas what could cause this?
The card is only 4 days old?

    System specs are as follows;
    I7 2600k at stock
    MSI frozr III Stock
    Cosair vengeance 1866 DDR 3
    Asus maximus iv extreme z
    1x cosair ssd
    Coolermaster GX 750 power supply
    I don't know what I'm looking for with regard to the power supply but I have the manufacturers page here with the model;
    http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php?product_id=6643
On windows before this happened when I opened chrome there was some red graphical glitches on the window, it was not flashing just not displaying properly but only on the chrome window so I rebooted and then switched on red faction and the after about 15 minutes had the black screen and buzzing sound and windows event viewer said it was a kernel power error.

  • Removing sound buzz FCE

I videotaped a presentation - the speaker was using PP projector close to him (close to his lapel mike) - sound volume on my camera was quite low. Now I have buzz from the projector equally loud to his voice. Is there away I can remove the projector buzz?

You probably should post that question in the Final Cut Express HD forum.

  • Z77A-GD65 Sound buzzing.

    Hello,
I've bought Z77A-GD65 mobo some days ago.
After installing it in my case with a Intel i5 2500 cpu, XFX HD6870 Dual fan gpu and 8gb of kingston ram (1333MHz)
I installed a new version of windows 7, installed the newest bios version, chipset driver ect.
After all that I enabled OC genie, and played some bf3.
I noticed that I hear a little buzz (Idk how to call it exactly) when I'm playing.. and not only with bf3, it's mostly when I'm playing heavy games and my PC is under some stress.
Without playing anything, and just browsing the internet the buzz is gone.
It's not only my headphones, when I'm playing heavy games my microphone also has a buzz.
I really don't know how to fix it.. I tried re-installing the newest audio driver, flashed mobo with the newest bios but nothing seem to work.
Hope some of you can help me figure it out.
    EDIT:
I tried running Prime95 to stress my CPU and see if it would give a buzz sound, but it didn't.
So it seems I only have the buzz when I'm playing games like BF3, GTA IV ect.
    Thanks in advance,
    Pepie.

Are you talking about a buzzing or hissing coming from inside the computer case, or from your speakers? If from inside the case, it could be the voltage regulators on your video card making the noise. Some cards do it worse than others, even brand new. It could also be your power supply.
If it's coming out of your speakers, then it's probably a grounding issue, like there is a solder joint touching the metal case. Not all cases play nice with all motherboards--I had one Antec case where I had to place a small strip of electrical tape at the backplane in order to prevent solder joints from touching parts of the case, and this happened to be the solder joints for the onboard sound which was creating a real nasty whine.

  • Pavilion g7 sound buzzes (skips) randomly with internal or external speakers.

I have replaced the driver with no change. The buzz happens with CD's, music files on the hard drive and streaming music.
