SBBOD Question (yep, another one)

Hi Community!
I know there are thousand of topics about this issue (which makes me think WHY Apple haven't have fixed it YET!!!!! STEVEEE!!! I trusted on you!!! =( ) out there, but I have tried ALL the things suggested in EVERY single forum, web, etc. and I'm still having this issue. The only thing that helped me with this issue was deleting the finder preferences. That worked really well! However and somehow, deleting the finder preferences is not working properly nowadays (¿?). It doesn't turn the finder to its default! I have created another Administrator Account and all works smoothly there, even deleting the finder preferences works as expected. I also copied those preferences from that new Administrator account, to a pen-drive, then I copied to my actual Administrator Account and even that way doesn't reset the finder preferences! Something is going really bad here...
So, I thought a couple of solutions, which I would like to do:
1) Passing all my personal preferences to a new Administrator Account (is this possible? How?).
2) Re-Installing the OS (Is my stuff going to be deleted!? How not to lose data?).
3) Formatting (Oh no!).
However, I would like to hear some replies about WHY I cannot reset the Finder Preferences the way is used to do and how to do it
Of course, It's quite annoying having the SBBOD almost every time but more shameful when showing to my photography students how fast is Mac until the **** SBBOD takes place!!! And I have to say that I have sold many Macs to my students

Why don't you visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on resolving issues with the SBBOD.
This problem is not an Apple problem. It's a problem with your installation, and it can be fixed. Perhaps some maintenance will help:

For disk repairs use Disk Utility. For situations DU cannot handle the best third-party utilities are: Disk Warrior; DW only fixes problems with the disk directory, but most disk problems are caused by directory corruption; Disk Warrior 4.x is now Intel Mac compatible. TechTool Pro provides additional repair options including file repair and recovery, system diagnostics, and disk defragmentation. TechTool Pro 4.5.1 or higher are Intel Mac compatible; Drive Genius is similar to TechTool Pro in terms of the various repair services provided. Versions 1.5.1 or later are Intel Mac compatible.
OS X performs certain maintenance functions that are scheduled to occur on a daily, weekly, or monthly period. The maintenance scripts run in the early AM only if the computer is turned on 24/7 (no sleep.) If this isn't the case, then an excellent solution is to download and install a shareware utility such as Macaroni, JAW PseudoAnacron, or Anacron that will automate the maintenance activity regardless of whether the computer is turned off or asleep. Dependence upon third-party utilities to run the periodic maintenance scripts had been significantly reduced in Tiger and Leopard. These utilities have limited or no functionality with Snow Leopard and should not be installed.
OS X automatically defrags files less than 20 MBs in size, so unless you have a disk full of very large files there's little need for defragmenting the hard drive. As for virus protection there are few if any such animals affecting OS X. You can protect the computer easily using the freeware Open Source virus protection software ClamXAV. Personally I would avoid most commercial anti-virus software because of their potential for causing problems.
I would also recommend downloading the shareware utility TinkerTool System that you can use for periodic maintenance such as removing old logfiles and archives, clearing caches, etc. Other utilities are also available such as Onyx, Leopard Cache Cleaner, CockTail, and Xupport, for example.
For emergency repairs install the freeware utility Applejack. If you cannot start up in OS X, you may be able to start in single-user mode from which you can run Applejack to do a whole set of repair and maintenance routines from the commandline. Note that AppleJack 1.5 is required for Leopard. AppleJack 1.6 is compatible with Snow Leopard.
When you install any new system software or updates be sure to repair the hard drive and permissions beforehand. I also recommend booting into safe mode before doing system software updates.
Get an external Firewire drive at least equal in size to the internal hard drive and make (and maintain) a bootable clone/backup. You can make a bootable clone using the Restore option of Disk Utility. You can also make and maintain clones with good backup software. My personal recommendations are (order is not significant):

MSI K7N2 - Yep another one...lol

First off i would like to say that this is a very very informative helpful place. I've spent many many hours in a row so far here before i decided to post, as my problem remains unsolved.
I just purchased all this hardware (u see in my sig pc specs) for my son for xmas. I have been having trouble with it since. The computer just refuses to boot up anything. No beeps nothing..... just a black monitor that's sleeping. Now, before you ask, yes the monitor is hooked up :p
I got it to boot up once to bios but it said i had 700mhz on the black screen before you hit delete to enter bios. Now, a friend said go in and change FSB to 200mhz. I did this....rebooted and then NOTHING. black screen. Jumpers were set to J10 1-2 and J11 on short. So, then i set jumpers to J10 1-2 and J11 open...still nothing. changed jumpers around to every pattern u can think of...each time clearing cmos first using J1 pin 2-3 then put back to 1-2. still nothing. i have swapped cpu's ... with an amd 2200+ and get the same results. as soon as i try to set the FSB speed, the pc just freaks out and won't do anything. I have also swapped my ATI gfx with an NVIDIA and another ATI 9700 128mb. Same thing. I have swapped RAM...one was a 256mb DDR PC2700 stick and also tried a brand new 512MB DDR PC2700 stick. i don't have anything higher than that nor lower. I have even tried another PSU...lol Took all jumpers out of J10 and J11 and still nothing happens. Again, before i do anything or swap hardware, i reset cmos. I have done everything i can think of now except flash bios. I don't even know how to do that. I don't even think the pc will boot to floppy first to be honest. Even when i swapped cpu's with the 2200+, it did same thing, soon as i changed FSB in bios, it freaked out and does nothing. Now i can't get it to do anything. Anyone have any other ideas i can try? oh, i also tried the little "insert" trick on the keyboard...nothing. I am seriously about to sell it in pieces on ebay. Is it possible it's doing this cause i don't have PC3200 ram? I have also taken the motherboard out of the case and tried to boot it up that way, to rule out anything touching it (screw etc)
One more thing, i laid the case down and turned it on and got 4 fast beeps. Swapped the ram cause that's what the beeps are and also can mean bad timer. Booted up again and no beeps but still black screen. I don't know what else to do. I've spent a fortune so far buying new hardware to try and get it working...before this i had a chaintech, but my son knocked a hard drive in it and fried the board, so then i purchased this MSI board. I had to buy a new hard drive too. All hardware in this pc works in another pc, so i know nothing is bad. I just can't get that stupid BIOS to come up...lol
Oh also, i don't have one of those D brackets. This board didn't come with one.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

yes it's connected. i can connect it that way (so the cpu gets power) or my case comes with a connector just for the cpu. it detects temp and if the fan is running. if the fan doesn't run, then the digital display shows a non spinning fan and an alarm will sound so i know the fan on the heatsink isn't spinning. I tried both ways, thinking maybe the mob doesn't like my heatsink fan hooked up to my case that way. so, yes the 4 pin was connected.

no, some was left when i cleaned it off the cpu from swapping them. i did not use very much compound at all. i used a t-shirt to clean it as it's non lint, doing so, a bit of the t-shirt touched the cpu while i was cleaning it...where it had some compound on it (t-shirt). it's not alot...lol but i know how hardware is funky at times, i thought well gee tried everything else maybe that's it...one little spec on the cpu stopping it from booting. however, i cleaned it so that there was no sign of any compound. still doesn't work. nothing happens.

Seems that you have move and change every Mobo part without knowing, only to see if PC started. Hope you haven't killed all of them. Would you mind to take all parts appart and start again in order ? (Better out of case ) and please tell us what Power source are you using and how much ampères it gives to 3.3v. 5v. and 12v. rails. (It is printed on PSU side)
what for? cause nothing else worked. what do u expect me to do when default settings don't work and nothing i read online in tech support works either? shall i just give up? think not i think you assume that i just started changing all jumpers off the bat...no thats not what i did. i did this when there was nothing else to try. i don't know the exact order on how i set them all up, i'm just saying i tried all ways of setting the jumpers and nothing so far has worked. i know where default settings are, yes i've put everything back, cleared cmos, took out the battery, and started from scratch. i still get the same results.

Frank gave you the exact answer to your question.
However, I would like to ask if you are indeed asking the right question. Do you really want different libraries? The implications are that you have to "switch" libraries to see what's in the others, and so that your searches don't work across all of your pictures? If so, then you asked the right question. If not, you may be more interested in relocating your masters to multiple hard drives so your library gets smaller, instead of breaking up the library.

Transfer money from one account to another one

Hi all
I am using EBS 11i, and i have the following modules: General Ledger, Account Payables and Cash Management.
I have different bank accounts in the system and now we want to transfer money from one bank account to another one.
How should i do this in the system. What type of document should i register to reflect this transfer. I know that it can be done by registering a journal with a clearing account and then reconcile this journal to the cash management module.
My question is: Is possible to register in the payables module this kind of transactions. Can i solve this by registering payments in this module. On payment the supplier is mandatory, but i do not have any supplier in this case. I have a payment from a specific bank account and then a refund to the other bank account but not involving any specific supplier.
Please advice if you have any suggestions.

This is what you can do.
1) Whenever there are bank transfers, there is Cash-In in one account and Cash-Out from another account.
2) When you enter the bank statements for these bank accounts, associate the transaction type codes of Misc Receipt and Misc Payment to these statements. Setup the bank transaction codes so that when you perform AutoReconciliation, the system creates Misc Receipts in AR for these statement lines. (You associate a Receivables activity with the transaction code).
3) When you will run AutoRec, the Misc Receipt is created for the Bank account where funds are received and the Misc Receipt (with negative amount) which is equivalent to a Misc Payment is created for the Bank Account from where funds are transferred. The offset to the bank account is the clearing account in both entries which becomes zero at the end.
4) With this workaround, there is no need to setup Dummy Supplier or run any payment process in AP.

OK, so I have now found that this is apparently normal for iTunes, to only accept mpeg 4 movie files, all the searching I did before I must have worded it wrong because I couldn't find anything about this, incredibly. Had been looking for why iTunes won't take all the files it previously did, like if it had been changed, and it hasn't, it's allegedly always taken only mpeg 4 files. Also I had been searching for why iTunes crashes every time I try and add/import anything but mpeg 4 files, and even sometimes with mpeg 4 files. That isn't normal, it's supposed to just do nothing apparently as I've just found out. So for these reasons I didn't find the answer despite my searching all over the web.
So I guess that answers my own question now, but I'm still perplexed as to why I absolutely, definitely, without any doubt, had several hundred movies of a few different video file types loaded, accessible and playable in my iTunes library that everything here claims iTunes never accepted. It apparently shouldn't have been possible for me to have done this, but for probably 10 years it's been this way.
Perhaps since I don't remember adding these files to iTunes anymore recently than maybe 6 or 7 years ago, the iTunes back then did accept all kinds of file types? Or could I have somehow had some video codecs or software that expanded the capability of my movie players like Quicktime Player that unwittingly also allowed iTunes to take those files as well? All I know is somehow it worked! So now my question is how did I have it working before, so that maybe I can make it work again.

CCMS configuration question - more than one sapccmsr agent on one server

this might be a newbie question, please excuse:
We have several SAP systems installed on AIX in several LPARs. SAP aplication server and SAP database is always located in different LPARs, but one LPAR can share application server of several SAP systems or databases of several SAP systems.
So I want to configure SAPOSCOL and CCMS-Agents (sapccmsr) on our databse LPARS. SAPOSCOL is running - no problem so far. Due to the circumstance that we have DBs for SAP systems with kernel 4.6d, 6.40 (nw2004), 7.00 (nw2004s) I want to use two different CCMS-Agents (Version 6.40 non-unicode to connect to SAP 4.6d and 6.40 + Version 7.00 unicode to connect to SAP 7.00).
AFAIK only one of these can use shared memory segment #99 (default) - the other one has to be configured to use another one (e.g. #98) but I don't know how (could'nt find any hints on OSS + Online Help + CCMs-Agent manual).
Any help would be appreciated

has really no one ever had this kind of problem? Do you all use either one (e.g. windows) server for one application (e.g. SAP application or database) or the same server for application and database? Or don't you use virtual hostnames (aliases) for your servers, so that in all mentioned cases one CCMS-Agent on one server would fit your requirements? I could hardly believe that!

This is the equivalent in Apache POI which may or may not help. I've never used CSVWriter.

HSSFSheet sheet2 = workbook.createSheet("sheet2Name");Then you can use either sheet object to write your contents. Look at the documentation for CSVWriter that pertains to sheets as it should tell you how.

No. If you made your backup to iCloud, iTunes will not restore from an iCloud backup. See:

To reiterate Larry's question are you trying to copy
your iPhoto Library package in it's entirety to the flash drive
or
just the photos that are in the library?
Each requires a different process.
If it't the former reformat the flash drive to OS X Extended (journaled) and drag the iPhoto Library package from your Pictures folder to the flash drive.
If it's the latter export them to a folder on the Desktop first viaFile ➙ Export ➙ File Export and Kind = Original and drag the folder onto the flash drive.

I am well aware that my question will sound really funny to all the experienced users, but... So when I (try to ) use Pencil and Brush tools, (cross-hatching), some lines get erased/replaced by the lines drawn close to them. It must have something to do with the preferences, but I am not sure what to change/adjust.

double click on the tool to bring up the preferences dialog, pretty much if a path is selected and you try to draw another one very close to it, then it will edit the selected one instead of drawing a new one...this (and more) can be changed in the preferences
