SBO 2005 SP1

I have SBO 2005 A on my computer. I have just downloaded SBO 2005 SP1. What are the differences between SBO 2005 and SBO 2005 SP1?

Well... there are many things... Here are the most important.
Client
- Better permormance
- Better support of stock below zero
- Better help docs
- New document transfer system (Copy from/Copy To)
- New standard Reports
- New Backorder system
- Greatly improved Pick And Pack system
- Year to date features
- Zero total invoices
- MS SQL Server 2005 Support
- Admin History
SDK
- FormDataEvent
- FormInfo Object
- New DI-objects
- Current Period property
- Delete Lines in documents
There sould be no reason not to use the SP01 version... (For some older systems upgrading can be tricky)

  • SBO 2005 SP1 screen painter

    Hey All,
    Does anyone know how I can get my hands on a copy of the SP1 screen painter that has support for datatables, choose from list etc..? I have the SBO2005 screen painter now but it doesn't have any of those features. I know SP1 is not officially released yet but I was hoping to find a copy of the new screen painter to test out over the next few months.
    Thanks

    Curtis,
    The only method to receive SP1 for 2005A is to nominate a customer that you have that would be willing to upgrade to SP1 that you have done development for.  This needs to then be approved by SAP.  There is a very limited number of these SP1 2005A releases with SAP approval.  This starts in the March 2006 timeframe although you would want to nominate a customer now.
    Otherwise 2005A SP1 is supposed to be released in Q2 barring any last minute issues.

    Hi All
    I would like some assistance with the procedure to upgrade from SBO 2005A SP1 to SBO 2007A.
    Which patch level must I use or I can just go straight to 2007A SP1 patch level 5 from SBO 2005 SP1 PL43?
    Thanks

  • SBO 2005 Patch 05 + MS SQL 2005

    The latest version of SBO (2005A patch 05) is compatible with the new Microsoft SQL server version 2005?
    Tanks
    Angelo

    No.
    On another thread, this was discussed. The version that will be compatible with SQL Server 2005 is the SBO 2005 SP1, not patch level 5, but Service Pack 1.
    And, I think this is going to be released for Ramp up in January, and expected to be released by Q2.

    Hi
    Start from 2005 SP1 PL75, there are some bahavior change for Salvage value feature.
    1.  Where are the new fields regarding salvage value?
        o  Field name:  Salvage Value %
           Location:    Depreciation Types form => General Tab
           Description: salvage value = APC * Salvage value %
        o  Field name:  Include Salvage Value in Depreciation
           Location:    Depreciation Types form => General Tab
           Description: Control whether to include Salvage Value in
    depreciation calculation. Select this checkbox to exclude Salvage value in deprecication calculation.
        o  Field name:  Salvage Value
           Location:    Fixed Asset Master Data form => General Tab
           Description: salvage value of specific asset
    2.  How to configure salvage value for an asset?
      salvage value = APC * Salvage Value Percentage of Depreciation Type
        o  Salvage value is always updated automatically according to above formula if transtions trigger the change of APC.
        o  Salvage value always takes effect for the whole fiscal year.
        o  You can also modify salvage value manually in Fixed Asset Master Data form => General Tab. Change of salvage value will trigger the recalculation of depreciation.
    3.  How to calculate planned depreciation value based on salvage value?
        o  Example I:
           APC: 10,000     Useful Life: 10 years     Salvage Value: 2,000
           Depreciation type: Straight-line depreciation
           Calclation Method: Acquisition Value / Total Useful Life
           Include Salvage Value in Depreciation: Not checked
           Yearly Depreciation Amount =
           (APC - Salvage Value) / Useful Life = (10000 - 2000) / 10 = 800
        o  Example II:
           APC: 10,000     Useful Life: 10 years     Salvage Value: 2,000
           Depreciation type: Straight-line depreciation
           Calclation Method: Acquisition Value / Total Useful Life
           Include Salvage Value in Depreciation: Checked
           Yearly Depreciation Amount = APC / Useful Life
           = 10000 / 10 = 1000
    4.  Relevant rules with regard to salvage value:
        a) All depreciation areas of an asset use the same salvage value.
        b) Salvage Value field in Fixed Asset Master Data form => General Tab is editable if and only if Salvage Value Percentage of depreciation type of main depreciation area is not zero.
        c) In Depreciation Types form => General Tab, the setting of
           Depreciation Value Limit only takes effect when the Salvage Value % is zero.
        d) When you import a fixed asset master data, salvage value is retrieved automatically according to the depreciation type from the main depreciation area. Make sure that salvage value is not greater than NBV, otherwise an error message will come up in log file.
    5.  Depreciation Value Limit Vs. Salvage Value:
        a) Both are the amount at which the asset depreciation stops.
        b) Depreciation Value Limit only takes effect when Salvage Value % is zero.
        c) Depreciation Value Limit is not considered in planned       depreciation calclulation.
        d) Salvage value is considered in planned depreciation calclulation if Include Salvage Value in Depreciation of depreciation type is not checked.

  • Delete Last Row in Matrix on SBO 2005

    Hi,
    Im using SAPB1 2005 SP1 with B1DE.
    I've seen a post that indicates that the following code should delete a row from a matrix (even the last row) when using SBO 2005
    I still find that all rows except last row of matrix are removed from the database.
    <b>How do I delete the last row from the Del button event handler????</b>
    I'm using
    <i>        [B1Listener(BoEventTypes.et_CLICK, false)]
            public virtual void OnAfterClick(ItemEvent pVal)
                bool ActionSuccess = pVal.ActionSuccess;
                Form form = B1Connections.theAppl.Forms.Item(pVal.FormUID);
                Item item = form.Items.Item("del");
                Button button = ((Button)(item.Specific));
                // ADD YOUR ACTION CODE HERE ...
                int row;
                Matrix oMtx = (Matrix)form.Items.Item("mtx_0").Specific;
                DBDataSource oDBDS = (DBDataSource)form.DataSources.DBDataSources.Item("@SD_POOLCONTRCT_LINE");
                row = oMtx.GetNextSelectedRow(0, BoOrderType.ot_SelectionOrder);
                oMtx.DeleteRow(row);
                if (oMtx.RowCount == 0)
                    oDBDS.RemoveRecord(0);
                if ((form.Mode != BoFormMode.fm_ADD_MODE) | (form.Mode != BoFormMode.fm_UPDATE_MODE))
                    form.Mode = BoFormMode.fm_UPDATE_MODE;
                }</i>

    Hi Ben,
    [B1Listener(BoEventTypes.et_CLICK, false)]
    public virtual void OnAfterClick(ItemEvent pVal)
    bool ActionSuccess = pVal.ActionSuccess;
    Form form = B1Connections.theAppl.Forms.Item(pVal.FormUID);
    Item item = form.Items.Item("del");
    Button button = ((Button)(item.Specific));
    // ADD YOUR ACTION CODE HERE ...
    int row;
    Matrix oMtx = (Matrix)form.Items.Item("mtx_0").Specific;
    DBDataSource oDBDS = (DBDataSource)form.DataSources.DBDataSources.Item("@SD_POOLCONTRCT_LINE");
    Rest of your code will remain same.
    I am making the modification here. I am using the RowCount property that gives me the address of the last row of the matrix.
    <b>row = oMtx.RowCount;</b>
    Every time this will return you the last row and that row will be deleted.
    <b>row = oMtx.RowCount;</b>
    oMtx.DeleteRow(row);
    if (oMtx.RowCount == 0)
    oDBDS.RemoveRecord(0);
    if ((form.Mode != BoFormMode.fm_ADD_MODE) | (form.Mode != BoFormMode.fm_UPDATE_MODE))
    form.Mode = BoFormMode.fm_UPDATE_MODE;

  • Component replacing installing Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable

    In starting tsManager.exe if any error like "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration
    is incorrect" is faced, Solution given in ReadMe.txt file of Transformation server is to install "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)".
    Is there any other possible solution of installing only a specific component instead of installing the whole Redistributable package?

    You will need to meet the prerequisites before installation will proceed past that point. If Visual C++ is not installing, you may want to try installing it separately before installing App-V 4.6 SP2.

    hi,
    since i update SBO 2005 SP00 to Patch Level 10 i get the following error trying to add user fields in a user defined table:
    Datei nicht gefunden (ODBC -2004)
    Is this a bug of SBO2005 SP00 Patch Level 10 ?

    Hi
    Same here as posted earlier. PL10 definitively has a Problem:
    ODBC -2004  (Datei nicht gefunden)  ?????????

    I've already lost a lot of time trying to reproduce/workaround it and this doesn't make me feel better .

  • SBO 2005 SP01 - New installation package

    Hi.
    I'm testing MS SQL 2005.
    I need the complete installation package for SBO 2005 SP01. I cannot find it on the partner portal. I'm only able to find the upgrade packages PL01 an PL03.
    Anyone got the complete package ?
    Regards,
    Jostein Kastet

    Hi Jostein,
    The SBO 2005 SP01 is only an upgrade of the 2005 version.
    Please upgrade to the last 2005 patch, then upgrade to SP01 PL01 and after that apply the patch PL03.
    Hope it helps
    Trinidad.
