As a matter of fact, since many features of SAP B1 has not changed, just as you asserted, I took cognizance of new enhancements to the solution over the various releases, especially as it relates to the functionalities. By extension however, most questions for prior releases applies to the successor release.
Furthermore, there was a mix-up in the download. Ideally, you should have three sections in the book. Section I (release 2004, by extension - 2005 and 2007 releases); Section II (release 2005, by extension - 2007 release) and Section III (release 2007). The document has been reviewed. Hence, everyone that bought the book before 29th of April 2008 should visit my [blog|http://blogs.ittoolbox.com/sap/kehinde/archives/sap-business-one-solution-consultant-ebook-review-notice-24053] on how to get a copy of the revised version within 24 hours at no extra cost. Create UDF for table not in the List of tables

Hi all,
I know that my question maybe easy or been asked before, but I couldn't find the answer.
To create a UDF in SAP B1 version 9.0 you should go Tools -> Customization Tools -> User-Defined Fields - Management...
which is ok and working perfect. but my question is:
If I want to create UDF for a table not in the list of tables there what should I do? I need to create 2 UDFs for table OMRC [Manufacturers], and can't find it in master data tables.
anyone had this issue before?
EDIT : Is it good to add the field by using sql server? I know it's possible, but will it be visible in SAP

Hi Samira,
There is noit a simple link for this, I advise you to study the documentation for TB1300 SBO Development Certification.
Ypu should also have knowledge of .net, and C# or VB, because you have to make a small program/addon to add the fields

a) The exam duration of 3 hours is for total 80 questions. Is there any time limit for each question.
b) can i navigate back to the previously answered questions.
c) is there any negative marks for the wrong answers.
d) what is the qualifying percentage for the exam.
e) when will the results be declared.

no time limit for any question...you just need to complete all within 3 hours. you should have enough time to complete them all...time should not be an issue.

i think its around 70 or 80%....sorry i dont remember exactly..
e) when will the results be declared.
once you step out of the hall...you should get your results.

SAP Business One Certification Updates

The SAP Business One release 2007* certifications will expire in the partner program at the end of 2011 when the 2007 release goes out of mainstream maintenance.
Additionally, prices for certifications taken at Pearson Vue centers will increase on August 15.
Therefore, it may be to your advantage to consider taking an 8.8 certification exam in the near future.
Currently, the passing scores for the 8.8 exams are as follows:
C_TB1200_88: 64%
C_TB1300_88: 57%

Hi,
When one has had an unsuccessful first attempt with the TB1300, there are 2 attempts to resit the exam.
Certificates are for specific Business One versions and they expire when that version is taken off the mainstream support i.e TB1300 Certificate for SBO 2007 is invalid in 2012. Would it be possible for one to wait till the next release of Business One is out to sit the TB1300? (Version 9 of Business One).
Will one be eligible or is it a must to be successful on the 8.8 version first?
How long does it take between the time SAP releases a new version i.e Version 9 to when the certification exams are ready to be taken for the newly released version?
Do the exam pass marks change with new Business One releases i.e do they go higher or lower than the current pass marks?

The correct cert mat is help file. Then the ppt file and others are how to file. Help file is available in SAP B1 (press F1), ppt file can't be given to end user but available to partner. how to files are available in documentation resource center (https://websmp108.sap-ag.de/smb/sbo/documentation)

This is the wrong forum, there's a SDK forum for this kind of question.
But you can take a look at the SDK help and the samples (downloads/forum: B1DE) These are simple samples which you leading the way...
For certification contact your SAP contactperson when there are courses availible. Look for TB1300.

Trapping SBO Mailer Event

Any idea how i could trap SBO Mailer Event or trigger my own code when SBO Mailer starts it's "Send"???

Yep. When a message it is sent an object of kind oMessages is created and
added in the B1 DB. That means that you can intercept this creation with all
the DB notification mechanisms B1 SDK is providing you.
The first is to natively use the SBO_SP_TransactionNotification stored procedure
and attach there your own logic.
The second and easier one is to use B1 DI Event Service, that provides you a
.NET listener-based interface to attach any .NET logic to the B1 DB events. You
can download this service here on SDN, under Business One SDK Tools.
Note that you are not allowed to add triggers in the B1 DB. This is esplicitily
forbidden by the solution certification guidelines and by support too.

Error while running a stored procedure in SBO

FIXED ASSET : Import old asset in SBO ?

Hi,
I'm trying to import old asset in SBO which have been totally amortized for end 1998, and it seems impossible to do it.These assets are used and net to be in the Assets Book with one resdual value equal to 1.
Is there any limits for importing old assets ?

I did really appreciate the To Certify or Not to Certify topic is it quite good.
Especially that Note to Hiring Managers: Just as candidate should not stake their careers solely on certification, you should not hire someone just because they are certified. Certification is an important factor and should play a role in your hiring process, but you should also base your hiring decisions on experience, education/training and communication skills (among other things). Most importantly you should follow up carefully with the candidate’s references. By looking at the whole package and verifying the details with multiple references you will improve your chances of hiring the right candidate.
And we have now also a dedicated magazine or new letter on the oracle certification

My understand is Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Professional (OCP) certification is already available via 1z0-050 to those with 10g OCP; to be technically correct IMHO this would make it a new path to the certification rather than a new certification ;-)
