SBO Release 2007 Intrastat - Artikeldaten
Hallo,

SBO B1 2007 and Crystal Report AddOn
Hi,
My client is using SAP 2007 SP00 PL49, SAP Crystal Report Add on is 2.0.0.7 and they have Beas 6.70.07
They have encountered problem "The request cannot be submitted for background processing". Yes, I am aware there could be any problem related to that.
What I notice is, on the workstation with SAP Business One client running, whenever user print a report named "Work Order", in the temp folder it creates one .rpt and 26 tmp files (Note that I have made up the number)
Work Order {C0ECP901-C6F6.......}.rpt
~cpe{51DD9109........}.tmp
~cpe{71DD9109........}.tmp
~cpe{52DD9109........}.tmp
~cpe{53DD9109........}.tmp
~cpe{54DD9109........}.tmp
Is it normal? Does anyone know what are these .tmp files? In case anyone is interested.
I managed to drill down and get around with the following solutions. Still in progress of monitoring, but seems to solve part of the problem.
1. Open up the JPEG in Accessories--> Paint and notice that the JPEG is too big and cannot be seen without adjustting the scrolling bar. Reduce the image size seems to work.
2. The report is using dynamic graphic and reading JPEG path from a UDT with column 'type' and 'path'. Subreport is used with record selection Type='Precheck'. When there was no Precheck type JPEG, it seems to crash. We have asked client to add in type='precheck' and hyphen in path when it is not applicable. In that sense, it will return something to the report.
3. We also have subreport that read material issues. when there was no material issue in the subreport, it crash. So, we do the following:
- section express - tick suppress blank section
- right click subreport, tick suppress blank subreport.
- in Subreport, at report option, we select suppress printing when no records.
Note that workaround in point 3 does not seem to work for pictures. So, it might be worth suppressing with formulas. -
Error in PrintReportGroup (SBO 2007)
While I was at sales order screen
I have received the below error
Error in PrintReportGroup
The Server threw an exception
Any idea what could cause this error
Sincerely yours
Riade AslehThe Error The "Server threw an exception" is quite common in this first PL's of a new SBO release. It is a general error that is thrown by SAP/SDK if it can't give a more specific error... You should report this error to SAP by creating a message.

Standard Report layouts in Crystal 2008 for SBO 2007A
It has been 2 years since SBO adopted Crystal Reports to become part of the standard product, I refer back to the initial links which promised links to Standard Reports, however 2 years later these links appear to be exactly the same, no updates.
http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/webcontent/uuid/807d22cb-cb1d-2b10-8794-fb76d7feca88#section12 [original link is broken]
For SBO 8.8 there appears to be a pack of Reports available for Sales Orders, Purchase Orders etc
I would like to know if there a pack of standard Crystal reports for SBO 2007A and if so where would we be able to find them?
Many thanks

It can be downloaded at http://www.ebookmall.com/ebook/277772-ebook.htm.Hi Dan,
Thanks for your observation, comment and review.
1. As a matter of fact, since many features of SAP B1 has not changed, just as you asserted, I took cognizance of new enhancements to the solution over the various releases, especially as it relates to the functionalities. By extension however, most questions for prior releases applies to the successor release.
Furthermore, there was a mix-up in the download. Ideally, you should have three sections in the book. Section I (release 2004, by extension - 2005 and 2007 releases); Section II (release 2005, by extension - 2007 release) and Section III (release 2007). The document has been reviewed. Hence, everyone that bought the book before 29th of April 2008 should visit my [blog|http://blogs.ittoolbox.com/sap/kehinde/archives/sap-business-one-solution-consultant-ebook-review-notice-24053] on how to get a copy of the revised version within 24 hours at no extra cost. I regret any inconveniences. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS ON THIS FORUM.
2. On localization, SAP Business One has more than 10,000 installations across the world. The book is not intended to be "localization specific". It is intended to serve as a certification review for functionalities that cuts across board with a mix of localized functionalities. I am sure you found in there a number of localization questions for other countries like UK. My advice for individuals using the book is to identify which questions apply to their localization.
While I await your review of the [revised version|http://www.ebookmall.com/ebook/277772-ebook.htm] as an SAP Business One advisor, I believe you will agree with me that it is an invaluable resource for preparing for the certification exam and also technical interview sessions.

Failed to create posting periods in 2007 A
The systems returns this error while trying to create a new posting period in release 2007 A SP:01 PL07
The error is :
SystemMessage Error Existen transacciones creadas antes de %s [Mensaje 636-7]
Please, can you help me.
TansksHave you created backup before you creating posting periods? You have to restore to the old db to recreate. Always try to do it in testing environment first. If all efforts fails, log a support ticket immediately. It might be a bug.

SAP Business One E-Commerce 2007 project in Spain
Anyone knows if it's possible to join to SAP Business One E-Commerce release 2007 ramp-up. We're an spanish sap B1 partner and we have a Custumer quite interested in this module.
I know that the ramp-up is currently restricted to Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UK and USA, but I've been analysing the product, I downloaded 5.9 version, and I think it can be used in Spain and it meets the customer requirements. Time is critical because the customer can't wait for 6 month, or even more, until it'll available in Spain.
Thanks for any advice...Sorry but Spain is not included in the Web tools 2007 RampUp at this time, but the 5.9 product is available.
Perhaps talk with your SAP representative to go through the proper channels to have Spain nominated for inclusion. -

Will SAP 2007 and v8.8 run ONSQL Express?
Hello Forum,
I am wondering will SAP 2007 and v8.8 run ONSQL Express?
Regards,
JuanDear,
SQL 2005 Express Edition is only supported in 32 Bit (x86) mode.
SQL 2005 Workgroup Edition is only supported with Windows Small Business Server (SBS) 2003 and only in 32 Bit (x86) mode.
As of SAP Business One Release 2007 A PL39 and 2007 B PL04, the application supports SQL Server 2005 Express Edition.
Before installing, make sure that you carefully read the Installation Guide for 2007 A / 2007 B on MS SQL Server 2005 Express Edition,
Check Below link for more info:

Hi,
I want to know if SAP gives any guarantee that the Addons written by us(which are working well with current version) will work on the future SBO versions.
If so, where can i find the document stating the same?
Thanks.Hi Satish,
It is supposed that forward compatibility is avaiable (see this articule about 6.5 compatibility: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/businessone/s-u/sdk 6.5 forward compatibility.pdf), but the truth is that SAP gives issues about compatibility with AddOns for every new SBO release.
This is the last one.
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/businessone/s-u/sap business one application and sdk for 2004 compatibility with add-ons_0_.article
Hope helps,

Aceder a variáveis de sistema Recibos
Boa tarde,

Edited by: Cokz87 on Nov 9, 2011 5:05 PMOlá Milton
O site é http://service.sap.com/smb/sbo/pld > How To Use the PLD Variables File in Release 2007 A (documento atual para a outra versão).

What is the system variables of document number in General Ledger PLD?
Dear all,
Would anybody kindly tell me what is the system variables of document number in General Ledger Print Layout Designer?
The default print layout use transaction number (system variables 272), however, my client wants document number to be displayed in the transaction number column.
Regards,
Simon ChiuHi
The only list available for Supported variables is for the version 2007A and for some specific localizations like Brazil and India.
For the 2007A version the list is available in the following link:
http://service.sap.com/smb/sbo/pld
'How To Use the PLD Variables File in Release 2007 A '
But in general the variables are for documents not for reports.
In this case I believe there's no variable and you may need to fill a requirement in the Forum for that.
