  • Integration Kit for SAP - Edge or XI?

Hi guys, I'm a little confused, I know that BOBJ Edge Server components is a XI, capped and intended for smaller installations. The question is, I don't see in the installation components any "Integration Kit for SAP Solutions" specific for EDGE, however I do see "SBOP EDGE BI, VERSION WITH DATA INTEGRATION (FOR SAP ERP)" that includes the Int Kit.
The question is, what happened if I installed Edge before without the Int Kit for SAP, do I have to uninstall and re-istall? or I can use the Int Kit for SAP for XI?
    Thanks for your help.

mmmm, actually I had installed by mistake the Integration Kit for SAP for XI, it did let me install, after the fact I realized that I should had used the one that comes with Edge with Data Integration for ERP.
I did uninstall and re-installed the correct one, however, I also noticed that the SP2 for the Integration Kit says on the title "BOBJ XI 3.1 Integration Kit for SAP Solutions" and not BOBJ Edge. So makes me wonder if there is a real difference.

  • Publishing Reports with BO Integration Kit for SAP

I have the BO Integration Kit for SAP installed locally and have been able to publish the reports to the Enterprise Server. I'm also able to Open Reports from the SAP tab. However, I've created a lot of "test" reports which I no longer want to see in the list of reports.  I've removed the reports from BO CMC but the Open Reports tab (SAP) still displays the ones I've removed from CMC.   Where is this list stored? Are the report definitions stored within SAP? I've heard that the report definition is stored in SAP and the physical report is saved to the BO Enterprise Server.  But no one within our SAP team has any idea and claim these are stored on the BO server.
(Someone tell me I'm not the only one in the universe trying to use Crystal Reports with SAP)

Thanks to Ingo Hilgefort for a reply to the same question on a very good SAP forum https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/forums.
You can use the "Crystal Content Admin workbench" (transaction /crystal/rptadmin) and delete the reports from SAP BW and BOE ins a single step
its part of the Transports of the SAP Integration Kit.  You need to import the transports into the BW System

  • BOBJ Integration Kit with Plone?

We have a setup where our Enterprise Portal is Plone. Is there a BOBJ Integration Kit with Plone, or one for opensource in general, or should we use the SAP PIK and link the SAP Portal to Plone for this purpose?

    Hi,
i`m not aware of any PIK for Plone. The easiest way would be to place a HTTP Link in your Portal to BI LaunchPad or SAP EP.
You could create an OSS Message with the SAP Support to check if there is a PIK....but i dont think so.

  • Licence (Integration Kit for SAP )

    Hello,
I have downloaded the "BusinessObjects XI 3.0 Integration Kit for SAP" from the link https://boc.sdn.sap.com/node/18962 .   I use it with Crystal Report 2008 and it works fine.   Now, I want to buy the licence but someone told me I can't,  I need to buy BO Edge Series or BO Enterprise and I will get Integration Kit for free.
Could you tell me if I can buy only One Licence of "BusinessObjects XI 3.0 Integration Kit for SAP" and use it with Crystal Report 2008?   If so, could you tell me where and the cost to get it.
    Thanks
    Cris

    Hi,
you can only receive it in combination with BusinessObjects Edge or BusinessObjects Enterprise

  • BO Integration Kit for SAP - Linux

    All,
we want to schedule and publish by email reports, created with Crystal Reports 2008 on queries in SAP BW 7.0.
To check the fonctionality we installed Crystal Reports Server 2008 on Linux, Crystal Reports 2008 on Windows. For data access of Crystal Report 2008 to BW we installed the BO Integration Kit for SAP. All software could be downloaded in evaluation versions.
Now we can upload the reports into the CMC of Crystal Reports Server 2008, but when we execute the report, we get the message "failed to load database information". I suppose it is necessary to install the BO Integration Kit for SAP also on the Server side to have data access to BW. Where can I get the evaluation version of BO Instal-lation Kit for SAP for the OS Suse Linux 10.0. ?
    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Hi,
Crystal Reports Server does not support the SAP Integration Kit. You need at least the BusinessObjects Edge or BusinessObjects Enterprise system installed.
You need the server environment and the SAP Integration Kit server components.
you can see the supported platforms at :
    http://server.sap.com/bosap-support

  • BusinessObjects XI 3.1 Integration Kit for SAP

    Hi,
Is it possible to replace BusinessObjects XI 3.0 Integration Kit for SAP with BusinessObjects XI 3.1 Integration Kit for SAP in SDN? Otherwise, one requires s-id to download it from SAP Service Marketplace which not everyone has s-id.
Or, where can I download BusinessObject Edge 3.0 in order to work with BusinessObjects XI 3.0 Integration Kit for SAP?
It seems now that the free trial offers BusinessObject Edge 3.1 but SDN offers BusinessObjects XI 3.0 Integration Kit for SAP. Unmatched version does not work.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
all the downloads are available on Service Marketplace. would suggest you open a case with Support to get your ID for it.

  • Integration kit for SAP Solutions

    Hi gurus,
i've encountered a problem with BO XI 3.0 Integration for SAP Solutions.
I've installed in a virtual machine BO XI Edge series for NON-SAP solutions evaluation copy, when I try to run web InfoView everything working fine. The infoview path is http://<servername>:6405/InfoViewApp and it take itself the "logon.jsp" file.
Now my goal was connect BO and my BW server. I've downloaded BO Integration kit for SAP solutions 3.1 but installation locked for a WSDL (I have no idea what WSDL is) than i try with 3.0 version.
I've downloaded JCO jar and dll files (sapjco3-ntamd64-3.0.2) and putted them on the right (i think) path.
I've installed Integration kit and installation goes fine.
Now when i try to catch infoview page 404 not found Internet explorer page is show  but CMS is on,intelligent agent too.
It can be a tomcat problem?
    Can anyone help me?
    thanks in advance!

Guys you were good!!!every installation things was right!!
I've the last question about SAP Authentication: when I try to call the SAP auth page i retrieve the follow error:
    HTTP Status 404 - /SAP/jsp/auth/sapsec_logsys.faces
    type Status report
    message /SAP/jsp/auth/sapsec_logsys.faces
description The requested resource (/SAP/jsp/auth/sapsec_logsys.faces) is not available.
    Apache Tomcat/5.5.20
I think is a Jco jar error,it's right?
In the (awesome) ingo blog there is: "put sapjco.jar file into the path C:\program files\...\tomcat55\shared\lib\, but i have not shared folder, than before installation i putted sapjco.jar into C:\program files\...\tomcat55\server\lib\ folder..was wrong?
    thanks a lot guys!

  • License key dissapears after installation of BO Integration Kit for SAP

    Hello,
I installed BO Edge 3.1 on Suse Linux Enterprise Server 10 (x86_64). After installation I see the license key for 10 named users in CMCand I could add new users.
Then I installed the BO Integration Kit for SAP. After this installation the license keys are gone. I could not change the new added user and I can not implement the SAP Authentication. The message is "now valid license key for any concurrent user".
After Deinstallation of BO Integration Kit for SAP with AddOrRemoveProducts.sh the license key is still gone. I am working with permanent license keys from BO.
Thanks in advance for your help
    Thomas Windischmann

    Hi,
in the meantime I solved the problem with support from BO. Although I am using the installation software for BO Edge 3.1 and SAP Integration Kit from the same DVD (BOBJ EDGE BI 3.1 Standard Package, #51035489) there is a inconsistency of libkeydecoder.so between BO Edge installation and SAP Kit installation. After installation of SAP Integration Kit you have to replace this lib with the old lib of BO Edge installation.

  • New Features of BOE 4.0 integration kit for SAP

    Dear colleagues,
I am looking for a presentation that shows the new features of SAP BOE XI 4.0 integration kit for SAP (BW), compared to XI 3.1. I have for example read that regarding WebI it will be possible to connect directly to BEx queries without universe. It is correct ?
I look to several documents on the market place, but there is no clear document about these new features...
    Thanks for your help.
    Regards,
    Thibaud

no "integration kit" in version 4 - its all nicely embedded into the core product.
you are correct - webi can direct connect (using BICS) and also can source from an Analysis View (which is an output of either Analysis Services OLAP edition or the Microsoft edition (excel plugin).  you also get a new universe layer (.UNX) which gives you a much better view of your underlying BEx queries/Cubes and allows you to combine with aother data sources.
lots more info in the product manuals to v4 which are available at...
    http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/
(just change the product drop down to "SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform"
some specific info on SAP BW connectivity is here...

  • Integration Kit for SAP - Open SQL access to tables. List incomplete.

After we install the BO integration kit for SAP and CR 2008 we were able to connect to SAP and open SAP Data Dictionnary tables (Open SQL access).
    I have a problem however:
when I display the list of available tables, the is not showing all the tables in the SAP system. I believe it stops at some point.
I see all tables with low letters or starting with /BIC...
I have custom tables with names ranging from ZR1 to ZR5.
Of these I only see tables up to ZR2*.
    My guess is :
either that the table list displayed is limited to a certain mumber of tables
or that there are some authorisations issues to be solved to view all tables (but the same SAP User sees all tables in SE11)
or there is a table related setting in the Data dictionnary that makes some tables visible by CR and other not
Thanks in advance for any answer.
    Claudio Ciardelli

correct - it stops at one point because showing you more than 30.000 tables doesn't really help. Right click on your connection (server entry), select the menu options, there is an entry called Table name like. in your case enter Z% and hit F5 for a refresh and you will only get tables shown starting with Z
