SC Approval in UWL?

Hello Gurus...
I am into an issue where the Users are not getting the Shopping Carts into Universal Worklist.
I have checked in SWI6 and it shows the Work Item ID in Approvers queue
but the same does not how up in UWL....
Users get offline approval mails which do not work,I mean when users try approving,it would not work.
has anyone faced the same issue..?how do I fix this..?

Perhaps some additional information would help?
What SRM release?
What Support Package Level?
What Version of Portal/patch level?
Occurs for all users/one user/group of users?
Providing more inforamtion will prompt better responses from our Community.
I also suggest you browse the Portal Forums where there is a specific forum for UWL issues which is frequented by UWL experts, it may also be worth raising your query there.

Can not see the details of the task approved in UWL of ESS

Leave approver can not see the detail of the task approved such as the start and end date of the leave, number of days used, leave quota details of the applicant when he approved it.

Hi!
Maybe these attributes are not being shown due to the fact that they might have been specified in the "List of Display Attribute to exclude from Preview/Detail area" attribute of the UWL iview currently being used.
As you can see in the Help page:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/de/0a/ad68c125ae496f8c04a25090bd2e3c/content.htm
It states the following about this attribute:
"Enter the names of the attributes which you want to hide from the display in the preview area. These names should be comma separated."
Maybe for the UWL iview currently being used it has been specified some values for this attribute, and so some information for the items such as the start and end date of the leave (along with the others you have mentioned) are not getting displayed in the preview area.

Cusomize the Leave Approve view when approve from UWL

Hi,
The user is approving the leave from the UWL.
when they click on the work item then in the Pop Up window the java application starts.
Now we want to hide the Duration field from the last confirmation field.
I tried to hide these fields from the Leave Request Approval iView, but it did not help.

Hi Vishal,
I have worked on this requirement before. What you need to do is copy the standard iview of the LeaveRequestApprover application into your customer space. Then hide the buttons in this iview through webdynpro personalisation.
After that you have to download the xml file which gets called for the LeaveRequestApprover application (you can find this by switching on the UWL Support Information) and change the action to 'iviewlauncher' and in the 'property' provide the pcd location of the iview in the customer space.Then re-register the UWL.
Hence when you will click on the Leave Request Workitem from the UWL, this custom iview (already personalised by you) will be launched and not the webdynpro application.

Disabling/Hiding Approve button UWL Inbox

Currently I am working on SRM upgrade project . How to remove/hide approve button in UWL inbox.
Below xml code, using in UWL configuration file in portal:

Have you tried to remove:

from the xml file? Then upload the new xml file with a new name with high priority to the portal? Also another thing that you can do is hide the whole descriptions section with all of the buttons. This is listed in the help documentation on how to do that.

I suggest to:
Check for the completion of these tasks in log file bcoz even after successfully initializing you cannot guarantee successful completion
And successful completion is necessary to give proper effect.

How to stop the Notification of Leave Approval in UWL

We are creating a new application for approval.
So we want that after request sent by user the request shoul go to new appl table not in the UWL.

i think in your requirement as you said you don't want to display items in universalworklist items under tasks so you can deactivate the connectors to UWL so that it won't reflect in UWL ,I suppose.Just try this ,just go to UWL administration there you can change the configuration itself.Follow this path
system administration>System configuration>Universal worklist&Workflow>Universalworklist adminstration>
Here you can define connections to systems as item providers for the Universal Worklist. The 'Connector Type' indicates the type of items retrieved through the connection. you can deactivate the alert connector or workflow connector based on your requirement. I hope it would work for you.

Since you are on ECC EHP4, you will have to use the Webdynpro ABAP application in this scenario.
Please make the necessary changes via transaction SWFVISU or via XML configuration so that you launch the Webdynpro ABAP application instead of the Webdynpro java application.

STMA workflow - approval through UWL

Hello All,
We have integrated the STMA workflow for transport management for ABAP TRs. It works perfectly fine.
However, I have the requirement to be able to let users approve transport requests through portal instead of logging into SAP inbox. How can I launch the same screen that user sees when launching approval workitem from R/3 and UWL.

We are using STMA standard transport workflow that SAP gives for approve/reject and automate movement of transports through R/3 landscape. Now when the manager has an approval item in the inbox, he double clicks to find a pop up window open in R/3 which lets him see the next system in the landscape and confirms to move the transport to the next system.
How can I get the same functionality to be available through portal. Is there a direct approach or should I write a custom BSP app for the same. Can the existing code be directly used in the custom BSP application.

Approve portal uwl workimtes from backend

Hi,
Is there a way to approve a portal workitem from backend?
I have an MSS HRM form that is failing in portal so I cannot approve it there. What I want to do is to approve that qorkitem from backend, like from t-code SWI2 or something similar.
Is there a way to do this?

the decision step it is calling the method WI_EXECUTION_VIA_R3_INBOX from class CL_HRASR00_WF_COMPONENTS and it has this program exit CL_HRASR00_POBJ_WF_EXIT.
It is not a simple approval step with the approve/reject button. This step leads the approver to an HRM form and there he can approve or rejected, right throu the form. It hasn't got 2 outcomes (approved/rejected) it only has the step executed one and agfter that I'm checking is one of the fields inside the form is approved or rejected.
The problem is that the form is failing so the WF got stucked at that point and I wanted to complete it from backend.
When I try to execute it from SBWP or SWIA I get this message:
"Workitem can only be executed usinbg the portal and the UWL".
The problem is hat from portal we cannot do that as the form is in error so no action can be taken.

Travel Approval with UWL

Hi ,
I have connected two ECC client (220 & 810) with One Portal.
I created two webflow connector :
SAP_R3_HumanResourcesUTL
SAP_R3_HumanResources
with the two System Configuration Groups:UTL & UNI.
The same i put into UWL ivews.
For leave application it is working fine, as i put the xml code for leave appl call in the
<taslid>.SAP_R3_HumanResourcesUTL
<taslid>.SAP_R3_HumanResources.
The task id are same for both.
But for the Travel the XML coding is in the "com.sap.pct.erp.mss.tra" configuration.
So i cant put the same Task id for the both system.
Could anyone suggest , how can i proceed for the Travel??

you should check the connectors!
1. In the UWL connector settings modify the "Web Dynpro Launch System"
property to SAP_LocalSystem. This case the webdynpro uses the URL and
the port of the portal.>> I think this can suit you.
2. In the System Landscape create a new system with the same properties
as the R3_TEST1 but the WAS properties are different. After that you use
the name of the new system as "Web Dynpro Launch System" in the UWL
connector settings. This solution should be used if the SAP_LocalSystem
is different than the necessary WAS settings.
3. You can modify this setting in the configuration also under the
ItemType. You should add the system property and the UWL uses it instead
of the default one.

Leave Approval Error via UWL

I am getting an error clicking on the task in UWL for leave request approval. The leave request is available in the manager's UWL. However, when teh manager clicks the workitem, we get the following dump:-

However, when we tried the 'leave request: approval' iview, we are able to see teh request and approve it. The error is only approving via UWL. Any idea on this?

please find the following solution .it will definitely work .
If you leave configuration is done.
There was an incorrect data in your system. To do these please follow following process.
delete this request using
PTARQ> Delete documents (RPTARQDBDEl)
Please read the report documentation before
deleting the request but it should be safe as it is
a development system.
Please delete this with the above information or delete all
the records for the approver.
After this,, there will be some incorrect workitem in approver inbox.
You need to clear that also by Tcode - SWWL.

UWL Decision View - Does a Pop Up comes after bulk approval?

Dear All,
We are exploring the option of Implementing UWL with Decision Views, which allows for multiple work items to be approved or rejected in a single action. Does that Multiple Approval action asks for a second level "Confirmation" with a pop up, as it might be necessary to mitigate any unwanted Accidental approvals.?

Typically, for Mass Approval in UWL, there will not be any confirmation screen. You would select all your decisions and click on the "Submit Decisions" button.
If you would like to include a confirmation screen, you could possibly include that within your application - and launch the application upon clicking on a UWL item.

How to display a Custom screen which is developed in portal when a work item is executed through the
portal-UWL ?.
In detail....
A custom screen has been developed in portals.
Workflow triggers when a new item is created on the custom screen then the workitem gets populated in the respective approver Portal UWL(universal work list).
when the workitem is executed from the UWL then it has to display the custom screen with its header data on the portal.

Error while accessing UWL item

I have configured ESS/MSS..... When an employee raises a leave request, the manager gets the Leave request for approval in UWL...but when i select the UWL item to open,i get the following error;
501   Not Implemented

Method ïPOST is not defined in RFC 2068 and is not supported by the Servlet API
Details:   No details available
Following one of the threads in SDn, i decatiavted "use HTTP 1.1" in Tools- >Internet Options-> Advanced settings- > HTTP settings ..but still the error presists..
Any idea why i get this error and how to solve it?
